Guest Reviews
- Tamra (10/5): - The manager showed me the room before checking me in and was awesome! Never seen that before
- Dina (6/5): - Had to call a number to get someone to the front desk. Room was ok was missing a pillow for one of the beds, I used a blanket rolled up as a pillow. Walls stained with snotty burgers, needs lots of update, had a coffee maker with no cups or coffee. The stay was ok had been in worst. Was here for family reunion in small town so don’t expect greatness here. The toilet kept on running. Never would stop. TP holder was missing. The place needs TLC would stay again if back in town.
- Jolisa (8/5): - The hotel is going through renovations but besides the dust and stale smell the rooms were clean, no bugs and staff was prompt with responding. Beds are a bit too firm for my liking. Me and my family would hook again.
- Amy (2/5): Crappy Republic - I was checked into a room with a non working lock on the inside. I was moved to the only other room available and that door would not lock from the outside. The place was really run down and communication was difficult. The second room did not have any TV reception. I didn’t even stay 10 minutes and just left. They refused to refund my money.
- Jason (2/5): Be Aware - We reserved 2 rooms for a 1-night stay. Upon entering the room, we could tell it was bad news. Pulled the sheets back on the bed and there were ants all over the stained sheets.
Floors of the room were nasty as well as stains on the walls. Be aware the pictures that are posted on the website are NOT current. DO NOT RECOMEND THE REPUBLIC HOTEL. We told the manager of the condition of the rooms, and he said "no refunds" will be issued and didn't offer to replace the room.
- Jason (2/5): The Worst - Filthy and unclean property......
- James (6/5): - Beds were a bit hard. OK but not real comfortable. Hot water and strength of delivery not too good.
- Duston (10/5): Great place to stay! - Very clean hotel. The owner is a great guy. You will see him working the front desk, vacuuming the floors and cleaning the rooms.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nothing unique. Clise to shopping & easy freeway access
- velia (10/5): Good service!!! - Great service. The man who checked us in was very courteous
- roy (10/5): - Couldn't ask for anything more!! Good place to stay and got to check in before the usual check in time.
- Emigdo (6/5): place was ok - It was a short business trip and the town has a very limited selection of places to stay. Bed was hard, I will not stay here again.
- Rachel (8/5): republic inn - Will stay again. No frills but No complaints
Either. Perfect for what I needed it for
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Just another oilfield crew lodge. Old rundown hotel.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This hotel is used primarily by oil field workers who take a toll on the condition of the hotel. Our room had holes in the walls where door knobs had been smashed through the walls. The shower rod was bent and had obviously been reattached more than once. The counter top in the kitchenette area had pieces missing.
- Kendra (8/5): - Good clean rooms
- TIM (10/5): Value priced nice hotel - The hotel was very nice, especially when considering the typically expensive cost of West Texas hotels - this hotel was very reasonably priced. My room was very clean & comfortable, wi-fi was excellent, flat-screen tv was good with a lot of movie channels to choose from. The manager bent over backwards to ensure that I had a really nice stay. I will stay again next time I work in town.
- Frank (4/5): Stay away - Room falling apart door didn’t lock properly o hot water no one at the deskt
- Brendan (10/5): Good place to lay your head - Great stay, nice place
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was amazing. Very helpful. They make sure that there guest feels at home
- Alex (10/5): - Better pricing and comfortable with microwave fridge tv and 2 beds
- Candi (10/5): Great place - The hotel was great manager was welcoming
- Jennifer (8/5): Surprising little gem - Staff was amazing. Opened the door for us as we arrived and made sure to bring us extra pillows, blankets and towels before we even had a chance to ask. This is a oil field town so the accommodations are made for oil field workers but for someone just in town for the evening this was the perfect place to stay. Quite location even on the main road. Definitely would recommend.
- E3851TRkimberlyc (8/5): Sam is AWESOME - It's under renovation so... and all the traveling workers have no respect for the grounds outside, that's the reason for no 5 but the service by Sam at the front is GREAT!! Wonderful people person and down to earth guy. He's always friendly, accommodating, and has a smile on his face.
- Moni7926 (2/5): Won't Go Back! - I've never slept on such a hard mattress in my life. The mattress sits on a wooden platform which makes it worse. The stove requires cast iron or magnetic stainless steel pans so mine didn't work so you have to pay the hotel to use the correct ones. The room has a chemical odor that I couldn't seem to get rid of. I'm sure it's due to the cleaning supplies they use. There is not a peephole on the door nor a safety latch at the top of the door. The hotel does not have an elevator nor a bell cart to haul your things to and from the room. Won't stay here again!
- 483WilliamB (8/5): Very Good - It is a fairly new hotel, but the rooms are nice, they each have alittle stove, sink and refrig in them. There are no rooms with just one king bed, all rooms have two beds. The whole property is very clean, the hotel itself is extremely clean and tidy. The rates are extremely reasonable. I had been staying in Ozona or San Angelo and driving to Big Lake, cuz the rooms were way over priced and not all that good. I have stayed here twice now, and will stay there again. Plenty of parking if you are pulling any kind of a trailer.
- RStorms48 (2/5): Oil Field Worker - Do not leave anything of value in your room. It has a way of disappearing when you are away. Even though I have called several times, the hotel has done nothing to remedy this situation. They keep saying that nothing was takin from the room. I would not ever recommend this hotel to anyone who travels with anything of value.
