Guest Reviews
- Melody (9/5): - I liked the historical elements, the old-time decor, the views from the porch deck. The mattress was firm enough & i slept well. Appreciated having a community fridge to store leftovers. The shower in the small room was small, so I would stay in a larger room next time.
- Ann (9/5): - I like the fact it's not a chain hotel. It was funky and fun.
- Lianna (9/5): Will be back! - Renee greeted us with such a great attitude, starting our stay off great! She walked us around and explained all the dos and don’ts to us. Our room was around the back, where you can go up the mountain a little bit and there’s seating! The only thing I had trouble with was the comfortability with the beds and pillows. Luckily, we drank enough around town to not be too bothered, just noted for next time !
- Michelle (10/5): -
- Daniela (10/5): A great stay for a solo trip near the small historic town - Self serve breakfast with the basics (bagels, fruit, cereal, yogurt etc..) a very homey and comfortable living area.
- Kristi (10/5): - The historic building was very whimsical and a joy to explore. It isn't the place for everyone, no room service, no tv in the room, but we loved it. The history and charm were wonderful.
- Cheri (8/5): Very historical and interesting - We loved the fact that it has been there since the mining times and it was very eclectic Tiny bit difficult to figure out how to get to the room.
- Ashlynn (7/5): Eccentric, cozy small hotel. Could use a bit of repair - Beautiful, eccentric, nice location Very shabby room, lightbulbs needing replacement, fixtures falling off walls or doors. Bathroom ceiling looked like it would fall down.
- Felicia (10/5): Perfecto - Loved the stay The location
- Gregory G (8/5): - Very cool vibe by staying in a place that was part of the Bisbee history All good.
- Yusuke (10/5): 最高でした - スタッフが親切でとても良かったです
- Kristine C (3/5): I do not recommend. - The woman at the office was very nice and helpful. The property was extremely run down to the point of feeling unsafe. The shower pan was dirty. Exposed extension cords used in the room. Very small space - many repairs needed such as missing molding.
- Brandon (10/5): -
- Francesca P (10/5): The Renee (staff) was very accommodating and Chris (owner) very cordial and acce - Good Would’ve like a wall mirror and a fan in the little bedroom (Paradise room)
- Hodge (3/5): - Amanda was sweet and helpful.
I like that breakfast used no plastic or paper utensils The place has never been updated since the 1950s !!
- CORI (2/5): -
- OMER (10/5): Beautiful place to stay. - Uniqueness, location, staff
- Doron (4/5): Needs investment - Old and rustic with lots of character. Location Run down. Shower broken
- Dennis (8/5): -
- Cameron (10/5): - Beautiful old structure in an ideal location. Very nice staff who work hard to make it nice.
- Nicholas (8/5): No complaints! - Very "Bisbee" very old-timey. Maybe haunted The other guests were super loud both nights. Very thin walls. I don't fault the hotel for having thin walls. Its a very old building. I just wish people would be more considerate
- Craig (10/5): It was unique and fun, but matches the vibe of the town! - I loved the uniqueness and charm. The location was prime. Stayed park almost the entire weekend and walked to everything. The staff was friendly and got to speak to the owner who was very hospitable. It was all great.
- david (9/5): -
- Anna (8/5): My husband was not feeling well so we had to leave early but this had nothing to do with the hotel. - The hotel was very historic and it has a very cool vibe. It is cute and different with a mine it the lobby. We would like to go back sometime and visit again. We were all the way around the corner and would have liked to be in the front.
- Brenna (9/5): -
- Alisa (7/5): -
- Gabi (8/5): A quick quirky stop. - A quirky historic building with historic significance Built on top of a well, used to be a miner residence. The building is 200 years old and the owners are keeping the old timey character. This was such a fun place to stay and discover the different common rooms with all the antiques. I have nothing for this section, this is an old building so you have to take the cracking floors with the charm.
- Matt (1/5): - The front desk lady was kind. Very small outdated rooms. I understand preserving history, that’s a part of the reason we booked. We wanted to stay in an old historic building. However, the price doesn’t match what it is. Broken outdoor furniture. No tvs in room. Only one staff member working. Property just doesn’t seem well kept. Felt like I was staying in a spare bedroom at someone else’s grandmas house. Definitely overpriced. $120 for the night on a Tuesday in Bisbee where everything is closed..money is better spent elsewhere at a nicer hotel with more amenities that’s just as historic .
- Ed (8/5): It was a pleasant experience, staying where the miners stayed - Location Too dark, did not have a outside window
- Templeton (9/5): Funky and charming! - This is a somewhat funky, but very comfortable motel. The bathrooms are old, but they had wonderful common rooms with a fireplace and a library and great coffee in the morning. It’s easy access to the busy parts of town. It’s an older building so nothing fancy with a small touches added a lot, and I was surprised by how much I liked it. I’ve stayed at other nicer places in this town, but this one was charming. If you don’t need fancy accommodations, definitely give it a try.also wonderful patio for outside sitting. My room was right at the base of the stairs that lead upstairs and when I first checked in, I could hear everybody walking by so I worried about being kept awake at night, but by 8 o’clock the place was silent, and people were either very careful about making noise or they all just went to bed early like I did.
- Julissa (7/5): -
- William (10/5): - Very cozy, family friendly atmosphere. Family style breakfast provided and the room was comfortable. Parking was a bit challenging but we found a spot.
- Carmen (7/5): -
- Joan (10/5): I would definitely stay again. - Super cute place. Love the decor and the comfort of the tv room. All good.
- Sharon (8/5): Wonderful historic hotel - glad we visited. - The history of this hotel made the stay that much more exciting - loved the grounds and decor - the staff was super friendly and helpful - loved our visit. Would have liked to have a front balcony stay but enjoyed the swing during the evening anyway.
- Arnold (5/5): - The location right on main street was convenient The facility is not ADA friendly
- Smith (10/5): -
- Darlene (7/5): -
- Sean (10/5): -
- Priscilla (9/5): -
- Andrea (10/5): - The whole look and the employees rocked!
- Lisa (10/5): -
- Colleen (10/5): It was good - Convenient Our room was in the very back of building
And was so very dark. The lighting walking back there wasn’t great
- Jennifer (6/5): -
- Dianna (3/5): It was ok. - It had a big room with table and chairs to play cards, games. Nice tv in the big room with comfy chairs. It was old and dusty .
- Marjorie (8/5): enjoyable - location rooms were quirky, but comfortable
- Ed (9/5): - Great
- Peggy and Jim (10/5): It was really nice. We’ll be back. - Excellent. Breakfast was perfect. Happy with available refrigerator. The eclectic atmosphere and general creativity. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The height The height of the toilet and how small the shower
- Jen (5/5): -
- Nhi (7/5): -
- Katie (10/5): -
- april (10/5): It was our first time in Bisbee, and so glad we chose to stay at the Inn at Castle Rock. - loved the ambiance
loved the staff (owner and Amanda)
fresh breakfast offerings
location loved everything
- David (10/5): It was a fun place to stay - It was old Nothing
- Mcpherson (10/5): Loved it. - The location is perfect. Loved the view and history of the place. A very eclectic place. The owner and manager were outstanding. I wouldn't change a thing.
- Mason (8/5): Great location . - Room 25 very noisy with the wind. Was nice in the summer.
- Michael (9/5): Very unique site: decor, location, friendliness. I felt like I was at a B & B. - We had breakfast away from the location. We wanted to walk a bit and build up an appetite. It did seem lacking in the options for items at The Inn. We did enjoy the use of the fridge to store our food/drink items. The movie lounge was great--we watched the Tombstone movie (for maybe the 10th time)! The staff was very friendly and made sure we actually WERE guests at the site. See some of above.
- Patricia (8/5): -
- Alex (10/5): -
- Julie (10/5): Great, fun location...showers are horrible. - Location Shower
- Baker (8/5): We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to friends. - Friendly staff, great amenities and an excellent value.
Plus, we loved the bat signal 😊! Dripping water faucet in bathroom.
- Shannon (5/5): - Great location. It was nice to sit on the shared balcony to relax. The floor was squishy, had a mildew smell and slightly sloped inside. The bed was indented in the middle so we could not sleep comfortably.. We left after the 1st night and felt it was better to loose out on the amount we paid for the second night than suffer with 2 nights without rest.
- Gail Overby (10/5): -
- Sepulveda (10/5): -
- Helen (7/5): - People (employees) were very kind and supportive. Sink stopper did not work in bathroom sink,
- jeannie (3/5): - Location. Some parts of hotel were really cool. The parlor was really nice. There are rooms on the backside 2nd level of hotel. Completely dark and feel as those its more of a maintenance area. Felt unsafe returning at night. I love a good themed room however the safari room was a misreable stay. Worn sheets, old pillows, the bathroom had mold and the shower water smelled of mildew....lake water??? Perhaps just the mold but i used bottled water to brush my teeth. The carpet was a thin as vynal and filthy. I would like to state that I have lived in 3rd world countries so I am not a princess. Just expected more from Bisbee area.
The property does have so much potential. Hope the owners just simply shut down parts of the hotel that are lacking and focus on reviving the parts they can capitalize on. Charge double for the space actually worth the stay to recoup. I didnt have the heart to complain to the staff. Not there fault nor did I want any compensation. I do however want to warn fellow travelers.
- Rachel (10/5): -
- Erik (10/5): - Really special and expressive
- Cindy (7/5): - It is in a very convenient location. It’s a little
- Robert (10/5): -
- Arthur G (6/5): - Lovely staff and a very comfy bed. It is an old place that is rather funky, sort of like all of Bisbee
- Gail (10/5): -
- Marta (9/5): Friendly staff, excellent location, comfortable beds - Breakfast was nothing fancy, but all I needed was a muffin and honey. Very good I asked for a balcony, but was put in the back of the hotel. It worked out anyway, was quieter back there
- Carl (9/5): - I love staying in old kep up buildings. The smell
- Christal (10/5): - Room and location
- Jalissa (10/5): the best inn/hotel ive stayed at - this place is awesome ! the woman who works at the front (i cant for the life of me remember her name cause we talked about so much) was so awesome and had so much cool information to share. she told me and my boyfriend so many stories and pointed us in the direction of coronado cave which was so cool to see. the place itself is gorgeous and we could see the city (and bat signal) from our window. such a nice experience
- Bill (7/5): It’s a quirky property - just like Bisbee! - Continental breakfast was minimal
- Susan (8/5): -
- ROSA (10/5): - Cute and comfortable room. Nice staff,
- Smith (10/5): - The staff was amazing! The hotel itself was so awesome
- Angelina (10/5): -
- Richard (6/5): -
- Laura (4/5): Costly and requires rehab - Location Needs rehab- bed extremely uncomfortable, carpet, bathroom facilities terrible and require upgrades.
- Donna (8/5): Satisfied - Good location. I had a room with great views Uncomfortable pillows
- tanya (8/5): -
- B (7/5): Just stayed for one night for Halloween parties and this was the perfect cozy spot. - Cool decor, very homy feeling. Staff was friendly and courteous. Parking, had to drive around for a while to find parking.
- Allen (3/5): I told my wife we should avoid Bisbee, but, no, it's eclectic she promised. Hah! - Didn't eat there. Don't like grab-bag free-for alls Extremely dated everything. Walls were paper thin in many place. No heat. Small heaters don't project the heat with a fan. Wife said she almost froze .
- Lisa (10/5): - Loved the decorations and accommodation family fit perfectly in Geronimo room.
Whole atmosphere was beautiful
- Long (9/5): The Inn was a cool place to stay right in the middle of town. - The breakfast was self serve with decent variety. Nothing organic but many options from bagels to English muffins to cereals as well as fruits, oj, coffee and teas. All good.
- Sylvia (10/5): Great location close to town. Great staff! Historic hotel with lots of room & a great balcony with comfortable chai - Amanda greeted us on arrival even though she was not yet expected to be working. We explained that we had a wedding to attend & she checked us in a made it possible to get into a room early so we could change our clothes .
She was so very gracious with everything about the hotel.
The breakfast the next morning was perfect.
Couldn’t ask for anything better!
- Cindy (7/5): The hotel was full of History very interesting stay. - The location was, great, the Staff was very friendly and helpful. Love the hotel, the decoder was absolutely amazing with so much history. I did love the staff and how nice the lady on the front desk was. sorry I couldn't remember her name. I think the hotel should expend a little bit more on mattresses, our night was awful neither my daughter nor I couldn't sleep, both mattresses were awful, we felt the spring stinking out. very, very uncomfortable. we had to leave the AC working all night to get some cool hair. we were in the Pioneer room #34.
also, I believe that is the room is ready, and you made a reservation they should let you register and checking before 3 pm.
I am which I could give the Hotel a 5 starts ***** but our night wasn't good at all.
