Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): - One of the locks not working. Clean rooms nice patio good food!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Cold! - not really a hotel, more a guesthouse/hostel feel, no hot water and it's very cold at this height on the mountain! Breakfast was fine and were able to arrange evening meal with staff. Facilities very basic.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I didn’t stay there and I need my money back thank you
- Jacques (10/5): - It lis my second time over there , that’s cool . I got fun , there is green tree , I ate some vegetable
- Aaron (10/5): - There is a beautiful view immediately outside this bed and breakfast.
- Fitzgerald (10/5): A beautiful place to stay in Haiti - Turin vue is a wonderful place to stay in Haiti, the place is clean and very quiet, and the rooms are very confortable and spacious, also the food is very tasty. the people are very nice and they always ready to help with any problem. The place has electricity 24/7 , hot water 24/7 .
- luc (8/5): You get what you pay for - Great value, location and staff. But wifi was spotty, found a roach crawling on one of the beds. Also water went off with the generator in the middle of the night and couldn't take a shower or even flush the toilet. The breakfast was excellent and the whole family loved it. In all you get what you pay for.
- Fomb (8/5): Only for Eco Friendly Tourist - If you are looking for comfort this is not for you.
But if you like nature, seclusion, a friendly staff, great Haitian Foods.
Then this is ideal.
Lower your expectations and you will be thrilled. Don't forget to take a walk in the Mountains.
- Eugene (8/5): Quiet, Cool, refreshing stay - The owner and the staff are outstanding. The staff were so incredibly courteous and responsive. The hotel is off the main roads. It is incredibly quiet. The views of the surrounding mountains and farming were amazing. We traveled during the beginning of the heat of summer and the Thomassin area is still cool and with gentle breezes. The free breakfast was always on time for when we requested. We ate dinner from the hotel 3 of our 7 nights and the meals were very nice. Cold cokes and even ice. While we where there the hotel was undergoing some maintenance so we did not have access to the restaurant seating area nor the bar. That is understandable. Just a heads up though - and not the hotel's fault - the wifi internet (Digicel) in the area was very hit or miss - not reliable enough for us to always be able to get work done. We were the only visitors there during our week stay. The yard security was very courteous also. Booking was easy. Although Expedia didn't know how to add a day to our stay (Incorrectly telling us the motel was booked) so I simply made a separate booking :) We needed to stay in that area for daily business and the Hotel came recommended. We would readily stay again if the need arises. The rates were incredible. Views from a common area balcony were refreshing. Enjoyed watching Life in Haiti occur as I ate breakfast. We used to live in Haiti - americans - and this Hotel was a breath of fresh air for our business trip. Warm water was rare.
- Verified traveler (8/5): My short vacation. - My first time at vue de la montagne. I had a great time. I love it. Very comfortable. Lovely staff. Great service.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Great Hotel in Petionville! - I booked this hotel because of the reviews previous guests left. I was not disappointed! The hotel is basic but very clean and has the amenities that you need such as FREE WiFi, cable ( basic but adequate) and Free Breakfast.
The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. I called from the US to get advise on airport transportation from the airport to the hotel. After that call, I was in contact with Doc by email. He was always accessible and very helpful. Although in the end I had no need of a taxi, Doc had arranged transportation for me and gave me the price. ( $35 O/W)
FYI,I left the airport at about 4:30 pm and because of horrendous traffic what should have been a 30 min ride took FOUR HOURS!! The hotel is located up a mountain with unpaved roads.
As far as accommodations, the only complaint, more of a nuisance, was the VERY low pressure of the shower.
A really nice economical hotel, clean and with great staff and a tasty breakfast. I recommend Turin Vue La Montagne Lodge!
- Evens (10/5): Best hotel for short and long stay - The view is splendid, staff is amazing and makes me feel like home. Foods are delicious within a various menus that can satisfy everyone's appetite. From now on I'll make this place my home vacation whenever I go there again.
- Fequiere (6/5): Good and Safe place - Great Staff, ideal Place For Safety and Security in Haiti. If you like Flying Spirit Airlines, you may like this hotel. very basics. The staff is very courteous, You will be well taken care off. Everyone in the hotel administration is every courteous and professional, and most importantly friendly. Very Safe place to go in haiti. If You love nature, and very basics you will find this hotel idea. The only problem is to locate the Hotel(you have to go up the hills to Thomassin 32, Turn Left, and Keep going till you reach the "route de Turin, written on the wall on your left, after you turn, you will need to go down a steep hill to turn on your second right to reach the hotel. the signs to reach the hotel is not always visible from outside. But it is a great place to go to in haiti, it is very safe. i especially like the organic foods at the restaurant. Breakfast is awesome. the milk is organic. Everyone at the hotel is so nice. There is not too much to offer at he hotel comparing to the hotels, but if you like the very basics, you will like it.
- Mary (8/5): Clean & comfortable with a view - Lovely quiet setting, friendly staff, great service. Wonderful & reasonable food.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Haiti summer 2016 - Nice people, very helpful and peaceful area.
- Brenda (6/5): Spiritual. Peaceful, Fresh, Breathe taking. - I really enjoyed my visit in the Thomassin area. The mountains were breathe taking. The hotel was cool, and so was the staff. I ate all my meals at the hotel and man were that good. I am looking forward to returning soon. May God bless and protect Haiti. Mesi/ Merci/ Thank you.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great - Awesome, I really enjoyed and liked the quiet environment
- Arland Cambronn (10/5): Good securiy - The room was nice with breakfast included good food security & the staff were very professional I definitely go back again. ....5 stars in their own way thank you......yours truly. ..Arland Cambronne.
- PAT (6/5): - THE STAFF WERE VERY PLEASANT, THEY PROVIDED FOOD ON TIME AND CLEAN MY ROOM WHEN I ASK FOR IT.
- J (8/5): Economic Cool Mountain View Getaway - Enhanced communication with my partner because no TV/ cable
No AC but the fan was adequate because of the fall season and the mountain altitude
The requested egg omelette was delicious the entire breakfast was perfect.
