- Dennis (1/5): I was in shock, .It was so horrible I couldn’t even stay there! there. - The whole place left me, uncomfortable! The drive-in was awkward. The parking area and grounds appears unkept. There are soiled mattresses from box Springs fluttering up the center walkway. The sidewalk in front of the room is very steep. The room needs painting and new curtains. The lamp didn’t even have lightbulbs in it! I wouldn’t even sit in the chair. It was so dingy.! I wasn’t sure the air conditioning was safe the unit looked so filthy.
- Lisa (10/5): - Nice hotel. Staff friendly, very affordable.
- VINCENT (1/5): - Owners parents live on property and have very poor English speaking skills.
I was basically "shaken down" over my service dog for 100 dollars cash and had to demand a receipt. The rooms are filthy, TV did not work, no laundromat for guests ad advertising claims.
The pictures on booking.com do not match the reality.
Booking.com is great, they had no idea.
Aviod this place if you have any self respect.
We found wonderful hotels a few hundred away that are the same price and infinitely better in every way.
We travel the united states and this was by far thee worst yet. Everything.
- Cunningham (1/5): Bad -
- Daren (4/5): - It wasn't good they charged me $20 for my dog and would only take cash for the deposit and it wasn't refundable or expected since I booked online I thought I was all paid up. While checking in a huge cockroach staggered out of a crevice and slowly died. The room was not clean the bathroom was disgusting I went and bought cleaning supplies and cleaned the bathtub toilet sink and floor. The room was so hot that it took over two hours to bring it down to a reasonable temp but never got cool to be comfortable. The owners son lectured me about my dog and that if it made a mess I would have to pay for any extra cleaning or whatever after I already gave them a deposit for my dog who is totally house trained and doesn't mess in the house and she's not destructive. I will never stay there again it was uncomfortable and totally gross and not very accommodating I don't have any photos I should have taken some never thought about it I was too busy being grossed out and cleaning. Just to give you an idea it got up to 104 or hotter yesterday and I was looking forward me and my dog being comfortable in a room and that didn't happen either the room was hotter than it was outside when I walked in I had to leave my car running with a dog and the air conditioning on so she didn't overheat and like I said the room never did cool off to comfortable temperature so it won't be staying there again I'd rather sleep in my car it's cleaner and more comfortable and the air conditioner works.
- Gordon (7/5): Good - Real value for the price
- Mike (10/5): - Nice 🙂🙂
- Jose (2/5): - Worst hotel experience I've ever had we only stayed here because every other hotel was booked, we got the 3 bed room and it was gross, weird stains on the walls, dirty floor, sheets were stained and outdated as well as the towels, the stove didn't work, the utensils in the kitchen were dirty, felt like we were being watched the whole time, will never stay here again
- Vincent (10/5): - The staff was especially helpful when I had to change my reservations and gave me a full refund for the nights I couldn’t stay!
- Gordon (6/5): Pleasant - Coffee pot was a bit wonky
- Judine (10/5): Exceptional - The room was very small but it was very clean . Staff was very friendly n patient.
- Juan (6/5): - Place was dirty,
- Teddy (8/5): Very good -
- Shawn (2/5): - One of the worst places to stay in history of motels
- Danny (6/5): - Friendly staff made it easy to get my employee booked in.
- Clint (8/5): Very good -
- Corzo (5/5): Passable - Would be nice if they had a working ice machine and more coffee available for their coffee machine
- Raven (1/5): Horrific hotel experience, didnt even make it through one night before leaving at 12 am - N/a It was disgusting, the room was NOT even slightly clean and smelled bad, stains everywhere, bad vibes, felt like we were being watched
- Phillip (5/5): Passable -
- Fabiel (2/5): - This place was super dirty I asked for clean sheets they never came to change it the floors were filthy I had to leave to another hotel
- B5456BEjoej (10/5): Awesome rates...Great location...Superb owners - Just wanted to share with others. This trip was a very short notice (2 days) trip traveling across the USA to get here. Finding a hotel for a 2-week stay is almost impossible on such short notice. The owners staff worked with me initially over the phone. Once I arrived on site, the owner quickly made it work for me so I would be able to stay for the entire 2 weeks. I didn't have to be shuffled from room to room or leave for a day or two and come back. I am very appreciate of what the owner did for me to make it work for me. I do not know how it might have negatively impacted him to keep me in the same room but I hope it did not. I will stay here in the future if the chance arises. Thank you again
- Kinean (4/5): - Bs I kept asking for 2 beds he played like he didn't have any but yet nobody was staying there he only did that so I could pay for 2 room then he changed the price to rooms every morning wen a queen bed should be be 58$ he took it up to 88$ a king bed was 71 he took it up to 100$ when it's not worth it da queen rooms smelled like mildew the closet has holes all in it and again he refused to let me pay for a two bedroom just so he could get the money off of a two rooms bad for business I stayed at this hotel almost a month and he still was bad for business and they are very rude to customers they harass you at 8:00 in the morning to pay for the room the next day it's just bad for business
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Price kept changing on the rooms then after I pay he put dem back down rooms are not worth 100$ at all
- Mary Ellen (10/5): - Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Clean sheets and clean room. Bath tub needs safety strips on the bottom part of the tub, so you don't slip and fall getting in and out...Especially for older people, possible safety hazard!! Thanks kindly for all of your help!! Blessings y'all ... Barney and Mary Ellen Noll (Schaumberg)
- Kenneth (7/5): Concerns - Bed mattresses uncomfortable. Telephone in room not working - unable to reach front desk
- Moe (8/5): Very good - The bed is very comfortable in the location is very accessible and had a great TV channels. The shower has some issues and the floors need to be continually moped cuz they were somewhat soiled.
- Kenneth (8/5): Very good - Shower water controls need replacing!!!!
No telephone answer at front desk in evening???
- Jodene (4/5): - My room had bed bugs. It was a nice room minus bed bugs!
- Alexander (10/5): - gooder!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I stay in cheap hotels frequently. This was the first one I walked out of. Terribly dirty room. Floor unswept. Bugs in the toilet. Stained sheets. A chirping smoke alarm. Dingy. Was offered another room but declined.
- christopher (8/5): - Good price. It’s hard to find a place to fit my large family of 6.
- Krystal Rose (4/5): - Room smelled terrible, roaches on the bed, crawling on the dresser and bathtub. Shower head sprayed everywhere, tile lifting in batbroom and the there was dark hair and many many stains on the sheets and pillows. If I had the money to go anywhere se- I would have.
The gentleman at the officewas so kind, no fuss about my late check in on a Friday night
- Harold (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nakia (2/5): Worst mistake ever - When we showed up to the hotel, the gentleman behind the counter was unable to help us check in, had to go and get somebody else which took a few minutes for her to come back. We had already been driving almost 8 hours, and we’re ready to get into our hotel. We booked a hotel with three beds because we had three adults and a 2 year-old. This worked out great for us. The room was huge. The beds were old and springs and they were not comfortable to sleep on. We all woke up sore and hurting. We had an infestation of sugar ants and got into all of our food that we had laying out. There were dirty Q-tips in the windowsills from Lord knows how long they’ve been there When we tried to talk to the owners of the hotel the open sign was on, but nobody was home push the night called button and nobody showed up. We were told that we needed to check out in the morning and drop the keys off, but nobody showed up to let us do that. See the pictures to show our disappointment. Since this was a nonrefundable, we were forced to stay in a dirty, nasty insect infested hotel for two nights. The stove was dirty and looked like it might cause a fire if we used it.
- Jennifer (10/5): Home away from home - Great comfortableness
- Kriss (6/5): - Low cost but general condition of property was very rundown. Room was barely big enough for the bed. That was okay except that the noisy air-conditioner was right above the headboard. Everything was clean. Check-in process was pleasant. Perhaps it was owner operated.
- Jim (2/5): - The property is old the rooms are small the air conditioner so loud when you turn it on you can't hear anything the toilet seat was broke there's mold in the shower no lice non-smoking room smelled like smoke.
- Sims (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (9/5): Always our go to when we stay in Sierra Vista. - We have been staying here the past three years. We love the owners and they have been updating the rooms which we appreciate. The location is quiet and clean. We do not worry about the security of our room or the safety of our van when we stay here.
- timsI2622MM (10/5): 5 star review for a 3 star motel. - While this is an inexpensive motel, the property was in good condition and the rooms were clean. I first stayed on a Monday night, then returned the same week for two additional nights because I had a very positive experience the first night.
The motel is also convenient to a Family Dollar store and many local restaurants.
I will stay there again next year when I return.
- Dennis (10/5): - Ns
- Edgardo (2/5): Very poor -
- Anton (2/5): - This place was filthy and disgusting. There was a cockroach in the bathroom, the sheets were not clean and had several hairs in them, the towels were thin, rough, and dirty, the floors were dirty to where your feet were visibly filthy after walking around barefoot.
Additionally there was an issue where I locked myself out of my room. When I went to the front desk and told the employee (who was not the same person who checked me in), he just handed me a new room key without verifying my identity or that I was even a guest. This is a security concern that anyone could just walk up and get a key to any room. I get that you pay for quality and that this place is cheap but the cleanliness was completely unacceptable and I will be in contact with the health department.
- greg (4/5): Cheap - Staff was nice, check in easy. No bugs. Room was filthy, food under the bed and chair, mold on the window sill.
- Oscar (4/5): - Room was very spacious but was in need of cleaning, the stove was dirty, curtains were stained, 2 of the windows would not lock from the inside and were on floor level
- Luis Armando (4/5): - Place looked better in the pictures than in person. I didn't like the fact that there was no shampoos in the containers in the shower, there is rust on the light fixture and vents as well as traces of mold on the walls on the bathroom.
- David (4/5): Bring some slippers - Modest accommodation. No light other than the overhead. The floor was so dirty I discarded the socks I wore in the evening.
- Cara (4/5): - When I first arrived I had to wait 10-15 minutes to be helped… the woman wouldn’t even make eye contact with me. After check in and finding our room… the carpet was filthy with dirt and rocks, mashed roaches on the walls and BED BUGS! My husband got over 50 bites. Beware!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Adequate Budget Choice - Prompt check-in at front desk. Room was cleaned, bed made, and towels changed daily, without having to ask. Refrigerator, microwave, and a/c unit worked fine. Bed mattress was sufficiently comfortable. Shower water was always hot and good pressure. Parking lot was well paved and felt secure enough.
Needed to air out room after cleaning odors. A few small critters occasionally seen in bathroom. Some guests may find the room small and/or cramped, but hotel is on the main street with access to whatever is needed. It served adequately as a multi-day budget option to enjoy surrounding sights.
- kathy (10/5): Great little hotel - We had a great time in Sierra Viats
- Cindy (2/5): - Bed bugs
- Cindy (2/5): - Bed bugs!!!!
- Tianna (10/5): - Love staying here when I’m in town.
- Adelita (6/5): - The sheets were stained. The towels were stained as well the air conditioner/heater was dusty. Since there was so much dust on it I could not turn the heater on and it was cold that night.
- charles (10/5): Refreshing - A pleasurable experience. Very well appointed room. Clean and comfortable!
Excellent value, will stay again.
- Dawn (6/5): - No hand towel holder by sink. Shampoo/conditioner holders empty. Nothing to hold onto getting in and out of bathtub/shower. 1 small bar of soap for two people. Room looked shaby and needs updating. Curtains had dirty stains on them. 1 pack of sugar...no cream for 2 people. Ice machine broken! Would not stay there again!
- Jeremy (8/5): - Great family run
- Ogas (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was very friendly rooms were clean and conformable just like home.
- Williams (4/5): Disappointing -
- victoria (6/5): - The owners were nice my bed had dirt in it because of a hester_air conditioner blowing over it it was basically clean the staff took off for Christmas so they couldn't get to my room I threw my own garnage away but I was ok with it I guess for 60.00 a night cant ask for much
- Carmen (4/5): - The staff was nice. The bedsimg, towels, curtains and carpet were dirty
- Verified traveler (4/5): Meh - AC/Heating unit very loud couldn’t hear tv nor speak on phone with it running, very out dated property, shower and tub was too scary looking to use, blanket had burn marks on it. The service was nice as staff were very friendly. Room was very very small. I’ve been to better accommodations for similar price I paid for the nights stay. Was only given 30 minutes when requesting late check out.
- Gibbs (3/5): Poor - The room was alright The couch wasn't cleaned because we found trash stuffed inside of it. The toilet paper looked like it was put in water then they put it back for use
- Snake (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (2/5): - The check in process was very unprofessional and they demanded cash payment for fees that were not clearly disclosed on Expedia. While speaking to the second person trying to check in, another patron came in and paid cash. While speaking with Expedia about the situation, we had ample time to look around and found the place was very run down, dirty, and the building was showing signs of neglect. We ultimately did not stay here and when I was discussing this location with locals, they indicated that there are frequent arrests made at Magnuson for drugs, human trafficking, and other things. A quick google search did support their claims about the happenings at this particular hotel. Ultimately I'm glad that we didn't stay here.
- Fortin (1/5): Horror. Filthy. No comment cards. No English. No refund. - Nothing. No breakfast. I couldn't even make coffee because the coffee maker had an old molded used coffee filter in it... Everything.... disgusting dump
- Chris (3/5): Poor - Good location close to the base The hotel is dirty, outdated, and falling apart. I was pretty disgusted. I understand old and outdated, but it was dirty, coffee pot dirty, carpet had pretty big holes in it and missing, bathroom floor dirty, and shower wall moldy. Paint over spray on most fixtures. Stains on the walls .
- Dominick (8/5): - It’s quiet and cheap. Has what is needed. Don’t expect any fluff
- G5632JTlizl (2/5): Noisy, very noisy. - The air condition is as noisy as a trailer on my head. I decided to turn it off and what a surprise! A noise like if air was going up and down from internal tube. I couldn't sleep all night. Since the beginning I was aware that it wasn't a fancy hotel, but this noisy! Come one!
- Marley (1/5): Very uncomfortable lack of privacy. - I didn’t like that the person in the lobby made me uncomfortable because he thought I was alone. He also listened into my conversation at my car and spoke in on it from the lobby. It was very unpleasant.
- Spook (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (8/5): - Didn’t like the tiny bugs on the floor, but the staff let us know the bugs were harmless. Liked that the staff was courteous, friendly, and waited for our late arrival. Very quiet surroundings; easy to sleep and/or watch TV. Very friendly and clean restaurants nearby.
- Llorin (5/5): Adequate. -
- Jennifer (3/5): Poor - Location was convenient and quiet The bed was extremely uncomfortable. There were roaches and ants. Got bit dutlring last night of stay
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Glenn (3/5): It could of been better! - Close to gas station Close to the gas station but when we booked in he’s gonna tell us we can’t run in and out all night long! First off it was me n my fiancé, we are grown in our late thirties. If we feel the need to walk outside to take a walk go to the gas station or even get fresh air just because u hear our door open and close a couple times don’t have to make u grumpy like that, plus we paid for the room and deposit so if we went on 5 beer runs we paid for it. Not saying we did. We got a hot shower and went straight to bed to wake up early to go to Tucson but it’s besides the point this guy at the front desk trued to act like a father and ask all these questions. U dnt have a 5 star hotel matter of fact our room felt like a prison cell how small and compact everything was. Would only stay if I absolutely had too other then that I rather go down the street to knights inn!
- Michael (2/5): - Crap on walls, no pillow cases on pillows. This place is a dump. I will be calling the city and having this place shut down.
- Rider (8/5): Very good -
- Sydny (1/5): Disgusting run down over priced hotel - Nothing was good about this place. There was mold in the shower. Multiple holes throughout the room, extremely dirty. I will not be staying here again
- mitchellthetexan (8/5): Just a basic place to sleep in a clean room. - This place is just OK for families. If you are looking for a place to crash after seeing the sights around here. It's a good place. Not a great place for children.
It has none of the usual amenities expected, but the rooms are ultra clean. ULTRA CLEAN!
If you're a single or a don't mind much couple? Stay here and save a several dollars. It's a great place to crash within those parameters.
It's family run by the nicest people you will never understand.
That said. I will stay here again if needed.
I really did enjoy stepping out with my drink and talking with my also buzzed hallway neighbors.
At the end of the day? I would stay here again.
- Morales (6/5): Pleasant -
- Cindy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Keith (3/5): I was terribly disappointed with room, facilities and service. Never stay there. - nothing I liked except location and price was okay room was much smaller than last time I stayed two yrs ago: room was dusty, old furniture crammed into room, cig burns on old bedspread, old AC in wall was noisy, no ice machine, coffeemaker could not be plugged in unless TV was unplugged - so - no coffee. I had had a fine experience (6 of 10) with their economy room facilities two yrs ago - but it was like different owners. No one was willing to change my room - even for a different price, and I had one of three cars that were in the motel lot the entire 3 days. Never stay there!
- mark (10/5): - Nice place
- Anonymous (3/5): Poor -
- Joseph (3/5): the toilet seat loose , bath tub slippery and coffee pot was not cleaned out - ok ok
- Pam (8/5): - Quiet and clean.
- Wolber (6/5): Pleasant - The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
- Grether (2/5): The location is ideal but the stay could have been much better! - The location was convenient to where we coming to Arizona for. The staff was friendly. There were no strips in the bathtub to safely take a shower. There was no heat in the room. When I addressed the bathroom concern I was informed that it is an old building. There is Lowes down the street that can help to resolve many of the safety concerns. All it takes is a little iniative.
- Scott (2/5): - Do not stay here! Can't believe this property was rated highly. I'm afraid to touch anything and hope I don't get bed bugs. So beat up you can't actually tell if it's dirty or clean. Druggy outside my room in his van. Extra security lock already broken off the door? I'd leave but I know Expedia won't give me my money back.
- Patricia (10/5): - This is a dated strip motel. De je vue from the 1960’s
However, it is exceptionally clean. The thin towels changed out every day.
Quiet location
All amenities in room in good working order.
Great value fir your dollar!
- Leslie (10/5): - Such pleasant staff and sweet room in older motel. Clean comfortable attractive
- Alison (4/5): - This is not a hotel… it is a MOTEL! Bed sheet is DIRTY, one pillow case is dirty and had hair… window kept making noise of wind, and fridge was loud too.
- Dora (4/5): - I reserved a non smoking room for my family, 2 adults 4 children. A couple of weeks before our trip, I received a call asking if they could move us to another room and they would make sure we had 3 beds. I agreed since we were getting enough beds. When we arrived, the room only had two beds and I could smell smoke as soon as I opened the door. I went to the front desk and was told they could move us to another room for $20. I told the manager about the call and she said she had no record of it, that she is there 24/7 and she never called me. She insisted I had reserved a smoking room. The new room was bigger but it seemed like it had not been deep cleaned for a while.
- Dennis (2/5): - Bed very uncomfortable
Furnishings were falling apart
Curtains filthy and torn
holes in walls and doors
property a total mess
- Anonymous (1/5): I will not use booking.com ever again. - nothing. full of cockroaches nastiest place I’ve ever stayed. never ever again
- Tammy (1/5): Horrible - It was creepy, it smelled and everything was stained It was creepy, it smelled and everything was stained. We left. We are still trying to get our money back. Everytime you go to the property or call they say the manager is not there. It is family owned and they live on the property.
