La vue, la piscine privée au coucher du soleil, la gentillesse du personnel qui se plie en 4 et de Steven et sa compagne, les propriétaires… L endroit est tellement romantique que j y ai fait ma demande au mariage… repas privé avec bougies sur notre terrasse et petit déjeuner flottant le lendemain…sans doute la meilleure adresse à Camiguin 🙂 Rien .

- Elena (10/5): Idílico - El sitio es más bonito de lo que esperábamos, la habitación es cómoda. El personal es amabilísimo y dispuesto a ayudar siempre. Aunque no tengan servicio de lavandería enviaron nuestra colada para lavar y la trajeron impecable. Me di un masaje en el hotel y estuvo muy bien. Las comidas y desayuno junto a la piscina infinity frente al mar son una maravilla. Las opciones de cena son bastante variadas, las de cena no tanto. Tened en cuenta que está en un entorno muy natural y en la habitaciones habrá lagartijas y mosquitos, pero tienen enchufes y mosquiteras para que duermas bien. El baño es descubierto, pero en ningún momento fue algo negativo. El alquiler de la moto lo gestionamos fuera con alguien que nos trajo del aeropuerto porque había bastante diferencia de precio. La ducha no tiene mucha presión ni temperatura caliente.

- Ngadine (8/5): - Lovely friendly staff who were super helpful and I appreciated the extra step of organising a cake for my partners 50th birthday. The breakfast included in our room rate was fantastic. The menu was a little lacking. We had booked a villa with a private pool and really wanted to make the most of it and we didn't want to have to go out for meals every day, but the lunch menu especially was very sparse compared to other resorts we had stayed at in this trip.

- Anastasia (10/5): Amazing stay in Camiguin - This was just amazing! Truly relaxing stay. I really recommend to try tai massage. We stayed in lower garden room, the open bathroom was wow. Also I really recommend to have dinner in the hotel, kitchen is very tasty. Lunch options are a bit limited, mostly nice small bites. Hotel offers free pick up/drop off from/to airport in case of booking more than 5 nights. Staff and owners are very attentive

Loved our upper garden suite — beautiful room and view, great comfortable patio, big bathroom, architectural features. Lovely. All the little things were thought about— drying rack, fan, basket for the pool/beach, coffee/creamer/sugar, umbrella, vanity kit, everything you could think of! The staff could not be more amazing or helpful. From the very first minute, we got there, the women at the reception were absolutely wonderful. Cold class and yummy lemonade were provided. A thorough tour of the room and amenities. The manager/owner robin was fantastic as well and very helpful with recommendations, etc. The food at the restaurant and bar was delicious and good value. We hate every breakfast there as it was included in our room price and we were not disappointed! There are dogs and cats that live at the resort and they were delightful I really can’t think of anything that I did not like about this property. The beach is beautiful, but definitely a working beach for the fisherman and locals. Very fun to watch everyone getting ready in the morning and lots of people came there to watch the sunset. It was very entertaining to sit at The beach bar and watch all of the shuttles go back-and-forth to White Island.

The entire resort is well kept; the staff are friendly and accommodating; and the food are delicious. I would have liked a softer bed, however, I think a medium to firm bed is common in the Philippines.

Love the spacious sitting area in the Catarman room(pool villa). Love the decor. Fantastic spa service. Top notch staff! Very professional. Villa with the pool has a family of sparrows sharing the room which is fine except the bird droppings get into the sitting area and the pool! Probably a better thing to take out the blinder box which houses the family of sparrows.

Since the hotel was so central though, we were able to find lots of other options.

- Unai (10/5): Best place in Camiguin - This resort is simply perfect. The owners and staff are really nice and are always trying to make your stay better. You have two pools that in our case were always empty and we enjoyed them a lot. The food in the restaurant was really good for us and it is a really calm place to relax (even if in our case another resort is being constructed really close, but this is not something bad, it is just the situation these days). We also met a lovely dog that is living in the resort. We definitely recommend this place and we take really good memories back home. Thank you all for everything. The hotel is not in a town and you will need a transport, motorbike or something to move around. Not something bad, just a recommendation.

We had a private Villa with private pool, and a room by the pool. Both rooms were exceptional and very comfortable. Everything was perfect! Well-drinks need to be stronger, for the price charged. :-)

- Julia (9/5): Paradise in paradise - It was such a lovely, peaceful, relaxing place. The rooms looked and felt more high-end than their price, especially the garden villas which had their own spacious balconies and even a pocket lily pond. The staff was AMAZING. Just such a wonderful overall experience. They didn’t have lunch service and had a small menu, so the choices were limited. For people who don’t really want to venture out of the resort (transportation isn’t the easiest on the island), it means repeating food. That said, everything was tasty and the portions were generous so this isn’t a deal breaker by any means.

No frills and fanfare…basic accommodations, pool was clean. Place was quiet and the sound of roosters crowing in the morning was perfect! I love Filipino food…their chicken adobo was divine…banana turon and ice cream was the best! Hummus was also very delicious. Gambas was good too! Mattress could be updated, but overall…I would recommend this place to everyone

The grounds are very lush with many pools and a great bar/deck area to enjoy the view of the ocean (especially during sunset). The private "room" with the high wall all the way around and the private pool created a very peaceful and relaxing environment. I can't wait to come back to Camiguin and this hotel. My biggest regret is not spending more nights here.

Our trip isn't over but I can say now that It was the highlight of our stay in the Philippines. We booked 3 nights and ended up adding 2 more. We felt like we were in a friends home with wonderful staff. Look forward to returning sometime.
- Neil (10/5): Amazing Balai as BaiBai. - From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we were pampered from all the staff & also the owners.As we booked in we were given a welcome drink,we were taken to our vista villa & given a tour of it & shown how everything worked. Later we had afternoon tea brought to us & this was each day that we were there. In the evening a free drink at the sunset bar & a bowl of nuts etc,was a nice touch. The complimentary breakfast was amazing, fruit (plate ),large variety of mains to choose from, (Filipino & Western )fruit drink,water,cereals, tea,coffee & whatever else you asked for. The two owners are to be commended the way they run Balai sa BaiBai & my wife & I will certainly be going back there in our next visit & we have already started telling our many friends about this wonderful resort. The staff were courteous, knowledgeable of the island, places of interest,places to eat & would do everything to make our stay comfortable & enjoyable. 10out 10.

- Sergio (10/5): Awesome place to disconnect, relax and unwind :-) - Great place to relax, disconnect and unwind... with only 3 villas, service is superb and serenity at its best, yo basically have the entire place, the pool, the beach to yourself :-)
- Julie (10/5): Amazing! Heaven on earth! - This place was amazing! The staff was so helpful in all my questions about the area. We did a tour with the hotel. All the details that this hotel provides were so nice and added a special touch. The view from every seat was perfect. Breakfast was the tasty and too pretty to even eat.
- Russell (10/5): Luxury on Camiguin - Camiguin is in general a rustic experience. The hot/cold springs, waterfalls and hikes are beautiful but best suited for those who don't mind roughing it a bit. Balai sa BaiBai is a great place to start the morning and end the day on Camiguin. A very beautiful place, where your every need can be attended to. If all you want to do is relax and enjoy the beauty, you won't need go anywhere else on Camiguin.
- Nanette (10/5): Hidden Gem of Camiguin Island - So we found ourselves in Balai sa Baibai, a 5-room hotel, and it is by far the best part of our 3-day vacation in the Island of Camiguin. My husband and I have done some travelling and have been to some high-end hotels and 5 star resorts but this is place can definitely compete with the list. It has been in operation for only a year, but the owners have been in the hospitality business for years, thus pouring all their passion and experience into this very lovely hotel. The rooms are either a suit or a villa. The villas have their own pool, yes, its own pool. Suits are just as beautiful as the villas. All the frills you get with a 5 star hotel, you get there. The interiors are undoubtedly beautiful, showcasing local building materials and local arts and architecture.Service is exceptional, from front desk to basically everyone in the hotel. Because its a small operation, you always see the owner who makes sure you are comfortable and enjoying your stay. Everything can be arranged. The only real bad thing about this hotel, it is booked almost all the time so you better book it way in advance if you want to experience this little hidden gem of a resort in Camiguin Island.
