Guest Reviews
- Timothy (10/5): - Rosanna and her staff were wonderful hosts - cannot wait to stay there again!
Attention grosse monter
Rosanna
- John (10/5): - It was a great room and staff very friendly. We will go back the view was beautiful and sunsets were gorgeous
- Libera (10/5): - Personale , attento e disponibile . Colazione ottima. Camera pulita
- jean philippe (8/5): - Hébergement un peu loin du centre a pied avec un acces peu aisé
Mais acceuil charmant et petit dejeuner copieux
- Lisa (6/5): Orvieto B&B - Air conditioner didn't work very well and the breakfast was too late in the morning. It would have been nice to have an in room kettle or coffee machine.
- Diana (10/5): - We loved!! staying at this B&B. They were so helpful, friendly, and the area is gorgeous! Thank you for making our trip so wonderful!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely B&B with great views - A lovely property with majestic views just outside Orvieto. Rosanna was a great host. The breakfast was good. The one thing you do need to be aware of is that the walk into the town centre is very steep.
- Alan (10/5): - Great service and location near the old town. Walkable
- Sydney (10/5): - Beautiful property with great views of surrounding area of Orvieto. A hike up to the city, so be prepared to walk, as is all of Orvieto. Wonderful staff who prepare breakfast and espresso for the morning.
- 835elizabethm835 (10/5): Perfect Location for Exploring Orvieto - We spent three nights at this B & B just outside the walls of old Orvieto. Our host Rosanna was very welcoming and the small size of the B & B was perfect for meeting other travelling couples over breakfast. Breakfasts were made to order and coffee was plentiful. With our own key to the door, we could come and go as we wished. We had a great room, complete with a little refrigerator, so we could make a lunch each day, which we ate in a park in the old city. Orvieto itself was charming and we loved being close enough to just walk in and back 'home' for a rest before going out for dinner in the town. Orvieto is well worth enjoying at a leisurely pace and staying at B&B Chiara e Benedetta made that possible. We would highly recommend it!

- chris (10/5): Super b&b!! - Rosanna is a fantastic hostess!! The location is very convenient to walk , though a steep one, to the town. We spent a late afternoon and evening in the town - nice dinner at coco.
Breakfast was great too - fresh espresso and pastries - too good..

Camere pulitissime e silenziose, staff gentile e disponibile, cosa chiedere di più?

- elizabethdivine (10/5): Italian Hospitality at its best!! - We had such a great time here! Orvieto is beautiful and we enjoyed so much our 2 night stay here. We had the small balcony out front and we sure used it. The days were so beautiful and we sat and had wine and enjoyed the countryside. The breakfasts were totally awesome and both Rosa and Isabella were delightful. Would definitely stay again

- Michiel (10/5): - Toplocatie voor bezoek aan Orvieto!
Rosanna is een geweldige gastvrouw!
Alleen de aircowerkte maar matig!
Prima ontbijt!
- Mark (10/5): - Extremely friendly owners, enjoyable to be with.
While 15 minutes away from attractions, an up hill climb.
- 21ski (10/5): Perfect stop and 100% excellent! - A treasure of Orvieto! Fantastic location, very nice, clean, private rooms and a wonderful breakfast. The best part was the service, the conversations the friendliness of Rosanna and her husband and staff. We cannot imagine a better place to stay. A gem!
- Alvaro (10/5): - Beautiful B&B 10-15min walk from the centre of Orvieto. The hosts were super nice and welcoming! They even gave us a ride to the station which was very kind.
- Michael (10/5): - Lovely bed and breakfast ideal for the two nights we spent
- Zvi (10/5): - Very home atmosphere.
The ouner is very kind and helping with questions.Big room.
- SGPTaiTai (8/5): Lovely Cottage - Location is good allowing effortless walks to Orvieto old town The hosts were lovely and engaging to guests. Daily breakfast was simple but adequate for one to start the day. Added pleasure to us was the sweet company of the resident cat(s) which made our evenings in the garden all the more homey and relaxing. Just one issue we faced but thankfully, only for one day: our road-facing room on the 3rd floor got noisy with morning traffic before sunrise and closing the windows did not help much.
- Cathy (10/5): - We three stayed one night there. It has amazing views out side window. Love this place!
- Gerard (10/5): - A lovely B&B just outside town. Free Parking and Wi-Fi. Our room was a nice size, as was the bathroom, and had everything we needed. We also had a balcony with a lovely view of the countryside. Our hostess, Isabella, was delightful. She gave us restaurant recommendations and information on visiting the city. We loved that it was a 10 minute walk up to the parking lot where we could take the free escalators up to the center of the city. ( word of caution if you go at this time of year…it was a dark walk back with busy traffic, but this should not be a problem in summer daylight). The breakfast was delicious with hams, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, tomatoes, a large variety of sweet baked goods, toast and beverages. Lots of power for seeing beautiful Orvieto. Thank you so much. We really enjoyed our stay
- Ariel (10/5): - Amazing view, Isabella and Rozana were so nice. Highly recommended.
- bouchee1947 (6/5): Low expectations met except for breakfast - It's hard reviewing a $60/night place. I had low expectations (although some of the reviews suggested something more) at that level but was looking for inexpensive spot because I was traveling solo and wasn't going to spend anytime in the room other than to sleep. Adequate for that purpose. Clean. And friendly. Rosana went out of her way to explain the town and was quite helpful. Note that it is located in a triangle between two streets, so you can get some traffic noise although not too much traffic at night, and nothing a white noise app can't handle. I had higher hopes for breakfast but it was very basic, with the hostess serving a piece of breakfast sweet tart, a slice or two of bread, cheese and ham, softboiled egg and a small thing of yogurt. And coffee to order. I left hungry. Perhaps I should've asked for more but nothing was offered, and I didnt want to be pushy.
- Fredia (10/5): - We spent 19 days in Italy. In looking back at our memories we agreed that B&B Chiara e Benedetta was the best place. The setting was just perfect. Being able to sit on the patio or on our balcony to consume our afternoon coffee and soda (and the breakfast) and look out over the beautiful, Italian countryside was a highlight of our stay in Italy. The breakfast service was excellent. Everything was really clean. The hostess made the exact transportation arrangements we needed. The town was within walking distance for us, even though we are in our 70s. She even told us about the elevator once we got to the "old" Orvieto parking lot. (They also had an escalator so that guests did not have to walk the stairs unless by choice.) The bed was also firm but not hard. I would use it again if I was in Orvieto again.
- Scott (10/5): Excellent Host - Excellent Host & Fantastic spot
- MarkU532 (10/5): Outstanding - Very friendly and outgoing owners. Comfortable with beautiful views. Close to town. We were not able to visit some of the town as it was a Sunday morning, however we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and will definitely be back to see more of this beautiful area.
- lawrence (10/5): - Very lovely place. Rosi, owner of the property was very friendly and details oriented.
- Loren (10/5): - Next to the historical site
- Mark (10/5): - Very pleasant and helpful. Close walk to Old Orvieto. Would definitely stay again
- Max (10/5): - Cosy nice environment. Staff extremely kind
- Gianfranco (10/5): - The ladies that checked us in and provided breakfast in the morning were absolutely wonderful. Very helpful. Very nice B&B just outside of Orvieto. Can walk to the town or, drive 2 minutes and park your car. From the parking lot, easy elevator up to the town.
- NooraM118 (10/5): 5 stars especially to the view and the staff! - One of the best b&b/overnight stay travelling experiences ever! Friendly staff, great location and room and amazing view. Even if we didn't know Italian, with their broken English we did not get only amazing service but tips how to get to the gorgeous town of Orvieto and what to do there without even asking. The breakfast, which we were happy to see had other options than just the usual sweet cakes and coffee, could be served to the yard (I could have sat there for days looking at the vale). I want to come back!
- Stephen (8/5): Lovely with stunning views - Lovely owner - who made every effort to make us feel welcome. The room was lovely with a small terrace with views to die for.
This is definitely somewhere I would recommend to anyone visiting Orvieto
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A lovely small B & B. Conveniently located just below the center of Orvieto. Rosanna, our host, was delightful, kind and very helpful with any questions we had. Delicious breakfast and gorgeous view from our patio.
Highly recommend,,
- Carol (10/5): - Was only there for one nite but it’s a beautiful place with spectacular views & a short walk or drive to the town.
- Karin (10/5): - The owners were absolutely amazing. They made our stay so magnificent. Beautiful and well kept b&b, clean rooms, beautiful location and grounds, delicious breakfast. I cannot say enough! Will definitely be back someday!
- Ivan (10/5): - Really nice location, Property friendly and focused on customer needs. I recommend it to everyone who wants to enjoy his time in Orvieto.

- Verified traveler (2/5): - Would be the worst B&B we have stayed in.. Not situated in the historical center but outside the walls.and a climb.if walking. Had to hire a car. No tea / coffee facilities in room, notes about not damaging furniture, frig empty turned off, breakfast miserly, food tired, opens at 8.45am.or later, with no facility for a drink at night. 3 nights small piece of soap none for 2 nights, 2 plastic cups in bathroom one remained for 2nd day.3rd day nil. Orvieto is an interesting place to visit with good restaurants but recommend staying inside the historical center. This can be accessed from near the station by lift. Driving and parking within the old city is limited.
- JesslynLanders (6/5): - The property was nice with ample parking and nice views of the valley below Orvieto. It was too rural because you were basically on lock down from the terrace and really had access to your room only until 8:30 in the morning. The gates to exit the property were also locked until that time. I felt very cutoff. There was an outside staircase but my sister could not negotiate the stairs. We came back around 5:00 pm and the access point to terrace was closed off. I assumed it would be open to see the sunset.
The breakfast was not great with mostly sweets.
However the staff person were very nice and the rooms were clean if small for two people. The lighting in the room was bad.
- Lepand (10/5): A lovely B&B with gbreat views - Absolutely lovely place to stay. Very warm and helpful proprietors. They explained how to get around. Location was excellent. The parking is free. A very short drive or a steepish walk to the escalators and elevators. There are both! Breakfast was very good on a lovely terrace with a great view. Our bedroom was large and comfortable with air conditioning, a balcony with a great view. Bathroom had lovely toiletries and good water pressure. We were there 2 nights and wish we could have stayed longer as Orvieto is an amazing town to visit with plenty to do.
The escalators close at 20:00 but the elevators run till 01:00 so there is no problem with access at the end of a long day of touring

- Robert (10/5): Beautiful place on a steep hill - This was a beautiful B&B with a spacious clean room with great views. Staff were exceptional and friendly. Breakfast was great. Only negative, the location is on a side of a rather steep hill and I was afraid driving my rental car that if I shifted gears I would go backwards 10 feet before shifting to first gear. It really was steep however they do offer private parking. I would recommend this hotel.
- jazhaus (10/5): Perfect location to see Orvieto - My wife and I stayed at B&B Chiara e Benedetta for two nights in July. The only thing I would change is the length of stay. The host, I think it was Alessandra, was both friendly and helpful. She spoke fluent English so communication was easy. The location in great. The hotel is about 2/3 of the way up the mountain to the the old city of Orvieto. The views are geat from the seating area outside the hotel, and it's easy to walk up the hill to the city, though it is fairly steep. I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to stay here again one day myself.

- Adam (10/5): A great little stopover. - We really enjoyed our two days there, Alessandra was a great host, we will definitely go back. There are supermarkets around and plenty of restaurants as well as close proximity to the lovely Orvieto town
- Roger (10/5): Friendly staff in Orvieto - Very nice and friendly people is running the place, after just staying one night we felt like “family “
- gregoryg178 (10/5): Orvieto Close - Nice view from the patio at breakfast and especially sunset. Good AC. Good breakfast and coffee. Service is good. Wineries are close as well so try them out. We will be back. One way street access so be careful.
- Cynthia (10/5): Summer vacation - Very good service, we had our breakfast on the patio looking at the beautiful view. Very good location.
- Erik (10/5): - Great hosts - accommodating and really helpful. The B&B has a stunning view of the sunset. Proper breakfast with tables set in a charming garden. This not stated on the site but the room is proper air-conditioned. Really a lifesaver as the weather was hot. I love a good clean bathroom and this one is a real hotel standard. Bright, clean, modern, I love it. Quiet accommodation, so that I can come in and out anytime of the day as I like. My room does not have a view but comes with a side door where I can pop out for some fresh air. Location is a short 5 mins climb to edge of the town, then another 10 mins climb to the town centre. Good if I have a car to move around.
- Dorcas (10/5): Friendly welcome and huge rooms with a view - Perfect little b&b just outside the wall of Orvieto. Such a friendly welcome and huge rooms. The views over the valley are wonderful too. It’s a short walk in to the centre of town (uphill though) and quick to get back on the road again.
For the price you pay, you can’t fault this b&b. The hosts were so helpful and giving me tips on restaurants, things to see and the local area and they spoke perfect English.
- Esther (10/5): Comfortable jewel next to the old city - Lovely B & B, walking distance to the old city. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was plentiful and good. The hosts were kind and helpful.
- RYAN (10/5): - Amazing experience with the staff and the location couldn’t have been better, the view from the terrace is magical.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - excellent location 400 meter from old city free parking and very good service
- John (10/5): Highly recommend - All around outstanding stay. Great service great breakfast and great room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice B&B, with a big room and bathroom. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
- Christina (10/5): - Amazing view and beautiful room.
- Alex (10/5): Stunning location - So close to the Campo and Duomo! If you like crowd watching, go for a room with a balcony. And on Sundays after the Palio you can watch the various districts march by with their drums and flags.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely hotel, a bit noisy. - Our greeter was fabulous: brought us some juice to have on the wonderful private terrace to our room. The room itself was spacious and clean, and the breakfast was very good albeit typical. The only drawback was the road to get into town, while not far, was busy and there isn't a sidewalk...and it could be noisy in our room for the same reason. But overall, we loved this hotel and the people running it.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice staff greeted us and lovely grounds. My advice is to know that when you arrive, you should leave your bags in one place as we were shown around the grounds while dragging our bags with us without realizing we would not immediately be taken to our room, even though it was ready. This would normally be wonderful, but given how tired we were after nearly 24 hours of travel, we would have preferred to be told that we didn't need to drag our luggage with us on the tour.
Breakfast is good, but rather sparse by US standards.
- Patti Jean (10/5): Heavenly - We spent a few weeks driving around Italy and this was our favorite visit. Orvieto is beautiful and so very interesting. Civita di Bagnoregio is a short drive away and must be seen. Our B&B was exquisite and Roberto and Ludi were incredible hosts. So charming and lovely. Breakfast was a variety of freshly baked breads and fruit cakes, yogurts, fruits, meats and cheeses and Roberto's expertly prepared cappuccino. Their dinner suggestions - including restaurant, best main courses and accompanying wine choice -- were top notch. This was one place we really did not want to leave. Don't forget to ask about the farm's own olive oil for sale!
- Richard (10/5): - Great location, within walking distance to Orvieto sites. Beautiful views. Very Friendly staff
- richard (10/5): Exceptional - Such a lovely couple, both Ludvika and Roberto were the perfect hosts. From the friendly welcome to the lifts into Orvieto and the sumptuous breakfast on the breezy terrace. I experienced the best ever apple crumble to die for. Only downside was we only had one nights stay.
- Mel & Joan (10/5): Simply a delightful place - Everything was 1st class. We were welcomed by gracious hosts who wanted us to enjoy. They are very proud of Orvieto and were enthusiastic when pointing out the "must see" sights. Very convenient to city parking and town access.
Would have loved to stay longer.
- Judy (10/5): The Bed and Breakfast was perfect! - The owner Daniel was very accommodating and helpful in every way. When we arrived he offered us coffee and moved our luggage to our room while we relaxed on his patio overlooking the valley. He also offered to drive us into the city of Orvieto since parking is difficult and walking would be all uphill. In addition the room was very comfortable and had a nice view. The bathroom was large as well as the bedroom. The breakfast was tasty with a wide variety of fruit filled breads and tortes as well as eggs, cereal, meat, cheeses and yogurt. Very typical breakfast.
- Dennis (10/5): - In our many trips to Italy, as well as to Orvieta, we have never stayed in a cleaner room, nor had such amicable and accomaditing hosts than Daniel and his lovely wife. Do yourself a favor, and stay here!
- Randolph (10/5): A little gem at the bottom of the hill - We booked this place last minute and were totally surprised with what we got for the price. It was a large two bedroom apartment and totally amazing. It had everything but a pool. This place is at the base of Orvieto and we took advantage of that and did a lot of walking up the hill and around the hilltop city. I already want to go back.
- trk (10/5): Great place, great people! - Very nice family B&B well located a few steps from the key sites in Orvieto.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely stay, close to town - Loved staying here! wonderful host, very helpful and friendly. He even drove us into town so we wouldn't have to walk. Great breakfast, charming place, comfortable rooms. The view around is very scenic and relaxing.
- ROBERT M (10/5): Ovierto - Great Owner who was a big help!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our host was so welcoming and helpful. Beautiful country side views. Lovely patio.
- Symic (10/5): - Less than 5 minutes walk to the closest gate. The owner was very helpful.
- James R (10/5): Wonderful stay in Orvieto Italy - This B&B was the best accommodation we had during 2 weeks on the road in Italy. We were well take care of by our hosts who even gave us a ride up the hill to the elevator up to the mountain town (easy walk back). The room was large, beautifully decorated, the bathroom modern and everything in excellent working order. The breakfast was more than ample and varied. We were able to park at the B&B although finding the entrance was a bit tricky. We highly recommend this accommodation.
- Denise (10/5): Great place to stay - B&B Chiara e Benedetta is a charming B&B just outside the city wall of Orvieto. It is owned and managed by Daniel, who is a very special host, attentive to any needs. The place is maintained with great care, spotless clean, big room and bathroom (we stayed in room Rosa # 301), onsite parking, free Wi-Fi, delicious buffet breakfast including home-made cakes by Daniel's wife. We were welcomed with coffee on our arrival on a nice terrace before handling the check-in formalities.
- oscar (10/5): Great place to stay - Stayed three nights and had a wonderful time. Rooms are spacious and clean and breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Definitely will stay here again when in Orvieto.
