Guest Reviews
- Helen J (8/5): - Clean room. Right by the cycle path. Close to local restaurants.
- Rachel (10/5): - Loved the old school vibes. I would run with that in marketing!! "Vintage"
- Phillip (10/5): - My family and I had a change in plans so were unable to stay at what I’m certain would have been a wonderful motel. Nonetheless the staff were so courteous, understanding and kind despite our frequently changing plans and other priorities in their own lives. I would stay there just on principle ! Next time. 11/10 for customer service going above and beyond.
- Joe (8/5): Traveler’s rest - It was exactly what we needed for our bicycle journey. Clean and great rest.
Contact with the owner before the trip was great. She was super helpful.
- Tameika (10/5): - It was amazing I will be going back
- Gary (8/5): - How do we turn on the lights by the beds? They are plugged in. Are both bulbs burned out?
- Tameika (10/5): - Amazing
- Mark (10/5): - The only flaw was a small section, less than 3 inches, was coming unglued from the tub. Everything else was excellent. Great value!
- Michael (8/5): - only real downside i found during my stay was the lack of wifi, other then that i really enjoyed my stay.
- William (10/5): - Super Clean and Quiet! Loved the Coffee Truck being in parking lot…
- Patricia (8/5): - Beds and pillows comfy. Wish they had wi-fi
- Eric (10/5): - Very nice motel.
Staff was very polite and courteous.
- Kimberly (8/5): - Charming motel in a cute and quiet town. Lovely Amish furnishings. Easy check in and out. Close to downtown shops and restaurants.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great hotel for a stop on the Ohio to Erie Trail. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly.
- Carrie (8/5): - Very clean, yet dated. We would definitely go back for the price.
- Alexander (10/5): Good Value - The room was clean and comfortable. It is the basics so no fridge or microwave available, but there is a coffee maker.
- Cathy (2/5): I won’t be back - No refrigerator, no microwave, no pictures on the wall . No comfortable chair to sit in, had a gift basket of expired chips. Requested handicap accessible, but because I had a dog I wasn’t able to get that room. Had to carry my luggage up two flights of stairs. They had to find a remote and a cable box so I could watch tv. No chain for the door, no key cards only a key.. front desk is located inside a pharmacy and is not available in evenings or mornings.
- Kathy (8/5): - Older motel, but clean and comfortable for the price. Some wall sockets didnt work, but everything else was just fine. We would certainly use this property again.
- Martha (6/5): Just ok - I wanted the stay to be good because its close to family and conversation w owner was nice. Room was clean, amenities nice. No frig or microwave but that was ok. Room felt damp and bed very uncomfortable. Check in was also kinda sketchy, the key was placed in taped envelope w my name and room number in hall with easy access to anyone.
- Ty (10/5): - A nice, clean, quaint hotel nearby shopping, dining, and gas. Also near area outdoor activities, and the Celtic Festival!
- Michael (10/5): Creekwood Motel stay - Manager and her son in charge were very friendly and answered all by questions about the room and nearby restaurants. Good Looking TOO.
- Cheri (8/5): Great location for Ohio Renaissance Center - We booked this hotel because of the convenient location near an event at the Ohio Renaissance Center. It was reasonably priced, very clean and perfect for our needs.
- Brian (10/5): - Great value!
- bob (10/5): - Wonderful place to get the basics for a good nights stay. I’ll be sure to stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Though the hotel may have a yesteryear vibe, it is very clean and more than adequate for a good night of rest. The staff is very kind.
- Donna (10/5): - Very simple and clean. Easy to find and to park right outside. Handy to other places.
- SUKHJINDER (6/5): - The bedding was too old and smelly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Needs new mattresses - Very clean room but the beds remind e starting at grandmas. Between the hardness and the old school noises of the springs it wasn’t great. Other than the beds the room was great especially for the price but I’ve paid more for less. A mattress topper and a nights stay would still be cheaper and dirtier than other options. Almost needed more toilet paper but thankfully we survived one night and the local cuisine.
- Jeff (4/5): - We drove 9 hours from North Carolina to OH to visit Dayton, Cincy and view the Total Eclipse. We were exhausted the first night. The office closed early, so there was no one there to check us in, we retrieved our key from a stairwell. Not expected, but not really an issue. The room was clean, however, there were some issues. The beds were a lumpy mess and not comfortable, they felt like every spring in the mattress was blown out. The sink had no stopper, if you accidentally dropped something it was gone (thankfully we were careful). Despite the shower head being mounted to the wall at about 5' 5" above the surface of the tub ( I am 6' tall and had to squat down a good bit to wash my hair ) I had a good shower the first day, when there seemed to be no one else checked in, however, the next day both my fiancé and I had issues. For her, the water just suddenly went cold for no reason after a couple minutes. Mine was worse, the water was a perfect temp and then it scalded me, then went cold, then scalding, then cold. It was horrible. As others have said, the TV was small but I did not find this to be terrible, but their instructions left something to be desired. It says to make sure your TV is on CH 3 or 4, but the Cable box is plugged into it via HDMI, so really you need to turn it on and change the SOURCE. It should default to that source but either way it was wrong. All-in-all it was disappointing even for the price. If the water was not an issue and the sink had a st
- Larry (8/5): - It was comfortable but it would have been a lot better if there was a microwave and refrigerator. Perfect for getting off the road to get some sleep. But extended stays require a place for food and a place to heat.
- Anthony (8/5): - Al ready to go.
- William (10/5): - Perfect for our bike trip. Plenty of places to eat nearby, and a laundromat.
- Lora (10/5): - While there are a number of places to eat in walking distance, we were impressed with the Coffee Hub food trailer. We got excellent coffee & breakfast there during our stay.
- Mark (6/5): - There was no fridge in room, it was clean, staff was friendly. But the beds need replaced. They were 20 yrs old and very uncomfortable. Will not stay again because of the beds .
- Patricia (10/5): - Property was reasonable in price, staff were polite and helpful. There was no wifi available or I wasnt given PW. However that was a small thing. I would definitely use again if in area.
- SARA (8/5): - Was clean but very old. Comforters on the beds were lumpy and gave a poor first impression. Also smelled stale. Could use a little updating and would be a great place. Convenient place for people riding the bike trail to stay.
- Marianne (10/5): - It’s an older facility, but kept up nicely and clean. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable. The young lady at check in was delightful!
- coranna (10/5): - Great place
- Cynthia (10/5): Go up Route 73 and get a better hotel - Who doesn’t have Wi-Fi these days? This place doesn’t have Wi-Fi. The mattresses were so uncomfortable but if you like sleeping on rocks then go for it. My husband has breathing issues and there was so much mold around the tub. Plus our bathtub’s handle to grab on was not there but they plugged up the 2 holes. The bathtub was very slippery. We are elderly and it was not safe to use.
This place is in need of some serious remolding. Our carpet had duct tape keeping it together. Some water was on the floor and I used a hand towel to wipe it up and it was so dirty so not sure how often the floors are mopped.
It was very noisy with the traffic and people above you.
If I had known there were nicer places to stay I would have gone the extra mile.
Also don’t go to the Stone House Tavern, it was such a disappointment.
Not worth the money we spent, almost $100 a night.
- Margaret (8/5): - The property was clean and well kept. Lots of info about the restaurant and things to around the town. A small refrigerator would have come in handy.
- Gabrielle (8/5): - The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Coffee pot in room and my room had a bathtub. There is an ice machine on the premises; gas station around the corner; small grocery store and dining options nearby. It's a short walk to the quaint city center which is peppered with cute little antique stores and shops. I stayed for one night and there was a couple arguing loudly in the parking lot. I was concerned it might escalate so I alerted the manager who didn't seem that interested. Other than that, I was quite pleased with my stay and would recommend.
- Kurt (10/5): - Everything
- Marie-Isabelle (10/5): - Creekwood motel is a great place for a weekend in Waynesville. Walkable distance from shops and restaurants (Downtown is actually very pleasant, with lots of antiques store and little shops) and 5 minutes drive from Caesar Creek State Park where you can enjoy beach, fishing and very cool trails
- Kathryn (6/5): - It was a small hotel, older building, but nicely maintained. No microwave or refrigerator was an unpleasant surprise.
- Ladd (8/5): - A little dated but very clean and well priced. Friendly staff
- Kelly (8/5): - Bed was uncomfortable & TV was REALLY old.
- Joseph (10/5): - Comfy & Cozy. Friendly staff. Close to Waynesville and Ohio Ren. Fest.
- Susan (10/5): - Clean and comfortable with dinette in room. Lots of fluffy towels and soft hot water. Charming and quiet country location.
- David (10/5): - Was within walking distance to town
- Gerald (10/5): - location
- Tim (8/5): - Staff friendly and room very clean.
Beds were satisfactory. Old TV with cable box. No mini Fridge or Microwave furnished was really a disappointment. Other then that, no issues and would recommend
- Regenia (8/5): - Nice location for a weekend in Waynesville. Very clean motel.
- Linton (8/5): - Clean and neat. Snacks provided in the room. Convenient location to downtown shops.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I liked the shower/shower head. I know, weird, but I'm picky about that. Nice restaurants close by. If there was WiFi to be had, I couldn't find it, and the small square TV screen was the smallest I have seen in a very long time. It's a fine, no frills, place to stay for a quick overnight or two.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean and comfortable - Pleasant atmosphere, very friendly staff, room was very clean and they even provided some drinks and snacks. Waynesville is one of my favorite place to visit.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good location. Close to lake we were fishing. Easy acces to the road and restraints near by.
- Buford (8/5): Nice, little motel. - Nice little motel in a nice little town. The kind we like to stay in on our motorcycle trips.
The office closes at 8pm. If you made reservations they leave your key on the laundry room door. The process to find this out involved finding the office (it is in a building next door) then finding a note on the door.
I would stay here again.
- Neil (6/5): Concrete mattresses - Basically.....a nice room. My brother stayed in room next to us, The Browns.
The beds were like sleeping on concrete.🙄
If that’s the best mattresses U have we won’t be staying again.😊
- ROY (4/5): - Room was very musty smelling. Front desk gave me a can of air freshner which didnt really help that much. Wont stay there again
- Terri (6/5): Keep looking.. - It was a bice clean no frills hotel. But i was traveling with dogs and there was no indication that they charged an additional fee to have dogs in the room untili arrived 19 minutesbeforetheir office closed at 8pm!. They were supposed to call me but instead just charged my card without my approval. if i had of known it was going to be that expensive i would have definitely stayed somewhere elsen
