- Lara (9/5): Fantastic hotel! But... - Modern hotel. Executive rooms with all and + amenities and comfort. The perfect 5 nights stay. Although this room was an upgrade to the one I have requested. The best part is that I stayed 5 perfect nights at same booked price. Staff are super available and kind.I lost my cellphone, and they could go to cameras to check where I could've left it. They were totally helpful. The best hotel room I ever stayed I can say. And I've been in quite lot 5star hotels all over the world. The only thing in China is that people can't speak English, not even the staff in a 5-star hotel. You should have a translation app in your cellphone for better experience. But don't try using Google services if you don't install VPN locally 1. The restaurant Elements in the hotel has a great chef. The reason why on Saturday night it was full. The lady at the entrance said that I couldn't have dinner there because there was no space available. She said that I should go back to my room and request for room service instead. That menú wasn't 1/4 of the menu of the restaurant. She noticed my disappointment and asked to wait 30 minutes. They receive people from outside. I didn't appreciate it. 2. I am not sure if my rating is fair because my room was an upgrade to their executive suites. That's why I didn't give them a 10. The reason for the upgrade was due to a miscommunication between the hotel and booking.com, and so, they said that they didn't have the rooms I booked available. Luckily, I called the hotel before to confirm my booking. After several calls and they saying that they didn't receive the booking from booking.com, I decided to stay in another o hotel. 10min later I received a call from them asking to be there for check in. I said I was in another hotel already. They asked if I could show please as the booking was open. Although I know it wasn't my fault I decided to go there.
- FyldeFord (10/5): Beautiful luxury hotel - This is a beautiful hotel and an oasis of luxury within the city. My room was very clean and extremely well presented with high end amenities. The room design and the interiors are modern and luxurious with good quality linens, dressing gowns and towels. The rooms also seem well insulated and it was quiet and peaceful. My only feedback would be that i found the mattress extremely hard which did impact my sleep quality unfortunately. The breakfast buffet was extensive and served many cuisine options with good quality food. The staff at the hotel offer impeccable service i would recommend a stay here if visiting Changsha

I greatly appreciated the assistance from the front desk (Cassie, Xylia, Aviva) team in arranging the rooms and traveling. There are many excellent places to eat nearby. My family and I end up staying here for 1 week. I highly recommend this location.

- Navigate20942181594 (2/5): Bad front desk service - Despite being 5star hotel, the front desk can't speak English, payment is only wechat pay or alipay that can be used in China. The credit card machine is broken. This hotel is not for foreign business person, but for wealthy Chinese people.

Is very amazing for me because they have very good service in the city actually it can because it has the best service hotel in this City. Before I checked in and they even send me SMS to inform. Everyone was ever so friendly, helpful, courteous; and the room was exceptionally clean and tidy with their tiredless Housekeeping staff, the breakfast and dinner was superb with their vast range of delicacies and dishes available.

They are sweet meringue-based confections made with egg white, icing sugar, granulated sugar, almond meal, and food coloring. The macaron, traditionally introduced in France, has now become the highlight of this German hotel.

- Yves (8/5): Komfortables und sauberes Hotel - Wir blieben zwei Nächte in einer Executive Suite im Kempinski Changsha. Die Lage ist etwas abseits des Zentrums im Süden, aber immer noch gut. Es gibt einen Walmart und einige gute Restaurants in Gehdistanz. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet, sauber, Einrichtung im guten Zustand. Teilweise ist es etwas schwierig, mit den Angestellten in Englisch zu kommunizieren, aber der General Manager steht zur Verfügung und nimmt Wünsche auf. Personal ist ausreichend vorhanden, jedoch ist der Trainingsstand nicht bei allen top. Restaurants im Hotel und In-Room-Dining sind nicht empfehlenswert. Insgesamt hatten wir aber einen guten Aufenthalt und würden das Hotel empfehlen.
- lauming19 (8/5): Amazing in Changsha - We have some expectations as this is Kempinski. Room is well equipped, clean and modern design. Seem there is a lot of facilities such as gym, swimming pool which look new. There is a area for Spa but no price list so we have not try.. Staffs are nice and helpful. However the quality of buffet breakfast is not as expected.

- Jip79 (6/5): Below par - The hotel is still decent with spacious room, comfortable bed, strong shower, but the finishing is below normal Kempinski standards. The "bathroom" sink is in the hallway across from the actual bathroom, which is quite odd. Internet was included in the room rate and at acceptable speed. Breakfast was extra, and really catered for local taste, so no plus points there. It takes about 30-40 minutes to get to the airport, and we used the hotel car which was convenient and safer, but at a premium price.
- 664isaaco (10/5): Great buffet, the master chef is a nice guy - Over the last four years I have often visit the five stars hotel restaurants in Changsha. Kempinski has always been the best, even more since Kai, the new chef master came. I cool guy that will sit with you and have a nice talk with. I highly recommend this hotel restaurant to anyone who is looking for top quality food.
- mdasbriones (10/5): Wonderful wedding venue - It was December and the hotels were busy with the holiday season but Kempinski Hotel did not disappoint. To start, the staff were warm and accommodating. They have served way beyond their duties. We had 16 rooms booked for our wedding guests and the hotel was kind enough to place us all in rooms with great views. The business suite was also booked for our wedding preparations early morning (makeup, etc). It was big enough to accommodate the ladies of the entourage, makeup team, prep team including the video/photographers. The ballroom for the venue was spacious. We had 200 guests and it was not crowded. The food was superb. Everyone enjoyed the celebration. My husband and I will never forget Kempinski Hotel. I know our guests would not either.

- Oxon93 (10/5): Nice Modern Hotel With Nice Rooms - It is Kempinski and with its expected quality. Large, modern, clean rooms. Breakfast features a balance of Western and Chinese options. There is also a decent gym and there are courts for other sports. It is also close to a Walmart. A noodle restaurant is conveniently next to it.
- Lukas Martin (8/5): Pleasant Hotel for good price value - Pleasant stay for good price-value. A few restaurants within walking distance. Don't get a coffee at the lounge in the Kempinski Hotel as this is definitely overpriced. Probably the most expensive we ever had in the whole world... Also the breakfast buffet is large but the quality of food rather mediocre.

- Verified traveler (4/5): The hotel does not match its brand name - I chose this hotel because of its brand, but I was very disappointed. The worst of all was the air conditioning. It simply did not work, and the quilt was thick. The location is quite far away from downtown. It took 15 to 20 minutes to walk to the nearest subway station, and then six stops to go to the downtown. The restaurant that served Chinese food was terrible. When I walked in at around 19:30, there was not a single guest there. Only a table with several people who looked like working at the restaurant eating there. But I must say that the ladies at the front desk and the lobby were extremely helpful. So what went wrong was the top management, not the people working there.

- Emy (10/5): Nice hotel, staff was exceptional - We were very pleased with the hotel, especially the lobby staff. The buffet breakfast was quite nice selections and quality, except for the staff in their, some nice, but a few not too responsive, maybe language barrier. We stayed for a week, on some days, it was under staff. Next door there was a large construction project, at time's could be noisy. The room temp was centrally controlled, way too warm for comfort. We couldn't fall asleep the first night. They had to leave one window slightly opened to air out for us.

The bed room was huge with an wonderful bathroom. Breakfast with full choices between western and Asian I'll certainly stay again in this hotel any times I'm traveling to changsha
