Three-queen room was extra roomy. Breakfast was not sufficient: cereal and items hand-bagged in zip-bags. No protein options. No elevator for second-floor rooms.

The vending machine (soda) was all sold out so I had to get out after having been on the road and running around all day. Then the "continental breakfast" was a joke. Frozen pancakes and bagels stuffed in sandwich baggies is not my idea of a complimentary breakfast with the cost of the room!

- Richard (8/5): - Its a very nice facility. For a small town this is a great option that all small towns don't have. Although a bit on the expensive side. Also the 'continental breakfast' is pretty worthless, but I am sure that is difficult to maintain in a little place like that. Lastly - The air conditioner in room 202 has some issues. The fan will not continue to run if you set it to, and the whole system while it cools seems to reset about every 8 minutes.. Really annoying while trying to sleep. Overall I would expect to pay about 60-80 pernight for this place, not the $110 plus...

- Andrea (4/5): - The woman who runs/owns this place is a total space cadet. She overcharged me. My reservation clearly states $108.19 with tax and she charged me $110.77. I asked for a receipt at checkout and she didn’t know how to print one so all I got was the room rate before taxes. The person staying with me left her personal pillow that has a silk pillow case on it. She called the hotel right away and said that we would be back to get it after we attended a funeral. The lady said we would be charged another night if we left a suitcase in the room. Uh we clearly said it was a PERSONAL PILLOW!! She finally seemed to understand and said she would have it at the front desk. When we got there, she had it in her own chair and was using it. She didn't seem to remember the call saying we would be back. She had to be directed to give the pillow back. She appeared unclean and unkempt so needless to say, the pillow case MUST be washed before use. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and the springs are noisy. Will not stay here ever again. We will drive an extra 20-30 minutes to stay somewhere else.
- Rebecca (6/5): - Being that this place is in Iowa in February it was freezing. After we checked in and opening our room the heat was completely off and it was FREEZING in there. If I check into a hotel I expect to be able to actually be able to enjoy that room right away without waiting for the room to warm. It was so cold we left and drove around and came back. We have stayed here for years and have never had this issue. If someone is checking in be kind and turn on the heat so the room is ready.
- Barbara (7/5): Stayed here as it was close to family. - Limited people staying there so it was nice and quiet. Staff were friendly and accommodating Senior citizens. We were given a room on the 2nd floor. No elevator. How is that ADA compliant? Breakfast was very limited. No hot foods.

- Ashley (8/5): Great Stay - Staff was very friendly and helpful. The common areas and room were clean and the beds were comfortable. We will be back next time we’re in Iowa. There is no elevator. If you are disabled I would request a room on the first floor. I also wish they offered more than white breads and cereal for breakfast.

- Lisa (9/5): Superb - It is a cute and very clean hotel, the nicest around for a very remote location in the middle of iowa... the only reason I didn't give it a 10 out of 10 is because although it is very clean amd well kept, it just needs some updates like the blankets and are a little worn out, maybe some better coffee in the rooms, and the mattresses were a bit worn and did not have bed bug protectors on them, and the breakfast didn't have much of a selection- if they would've had some bacon or sausage or other fruit besides apples it would've been much nicer... otherwise the staff was very friendly, professional and accommodating. Staff would get a 10 out of 10 from me

They need to make sure people know there is no elevator. A nice staff member helped me get my luggage down the stairs. All the rooms on the ground floor were taken they told us. Older people can’t do stairs as well.

- brucetP6935FL (8/5): OK hotel lots of rules about dogs. - The reviews that say there is a rude lady are probably true. We didn't have to butt heads with anyone, but one lady was very matter of fact. I think rudeness works both ways. If you expect to be catered to because you are special, get over yourself and understand that not all people treat other people's property properly. Breakfast was a little thin and the coffee is not the best. Room was clean and the shower was GREAT!
- William (4/5): No thank you - Proximity to facilities and venues Beds are old and soft. My back is killing. Daybperspn at desk had zero personality. Online ordering was confusing. Thought we had a pet room reserved, but language was deceptive.

- Angie (10/5): - The lady working at the desk was so kind and welcoming. This is an older hotel, but clean and just what we needed. We were attending the What Cheer flea market for the first time and would definitely stay here again if we come back. Thanks for the pleasant welcome to Iowa!

- Revolution (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was extraordinary! Our son got a stomach bug from something he had eaten and vomited late at night. The night desk lady, was fantastic! She went above and beyond by washing my son's clothes and his stuffed animal for us. She even went into the dining area and got him some bread for his stomach. She was extremely kind and thoughtful. This hotel excels at customer service and cleanliness! We will without a doubt stay here again.

- Andrew (10/5): - I was able to check in 2 hours early and it was nice and quite. The shower was nice and powerful.
- Rojann (6/5): - No room service. Rooms smelled musty. Breakfast was meager. No individual soap or shampoo or lotion. Front doors were difficult to open (heavy and air pressure issues between the two doors). Limited parking.

And the staff is friendly. The suite we got was huge. There wasn’t much for breakfast, and not much to for kids, this was good for us for one night
