- Keith (8/5): - Big clean room Somewhat rundown, rough parking area
- Lindsey (5/5): Decent hotel, just wish it had hot water - The location. Right there in town near everything There was no hot water
- Ida (6/5): -
- April (8/5): -
- Sara (4/5): - The employee was very kind the price is decent The toilet felt like it was going to fall off the floor There was an annoying steady noise I have no idea where it came from. The pillows were not good.
- Steve (6/5): -
- Jeff (1/5): It was not good - Nothing Door didn’t lock in first room. TV remote didn’t work. No hot water. Was moved to another room. Still no hot water

- ralph (1/5): I won't be staying here ever in the future. There are other motels in the area, albeit a bit further - The location was the only good feature of this property. The room was a DISASTER. Where to start: firstly, there were the water stains on the ceiling: then the NASTY NASTY stains on the shower curtain, the walls throughout the room and the floors were pretty old and worn. There was a very minimal assortment of toiletries and the complimentry coffee was pitiful. I had a 2 night stay: on returning to my room the second day, the cleaning staff didn't really do much except replace the cruddy towels. They didn't replace the coffee packets or make the bed, which isn't a big deal to me really, but still.... The whole building looks pretty old and worn down and the check-in at the office was rather difficult: you call the office on the provided phone, the you have to talk really loudly through a small glass window to the manager. Not very welcoming.
- Davis (8/5): It’s ok - It ok No comments
- Diane (8/5): I was only there to sleep for three hours before on my way - The toilet was leaking on the floor from its faucet.
- Lowden (8/5): -
- Isidro (5/5): The stay was ok at best. No dry blowers or iron and ironing board as oother hotels, interior lighting is poor. Definitel - The price and nothing more. Exterior in poor shape. Not what the picture on the web shows. Lighting poor. Needs lot of upkeep. Pillows were flat. Slept decent.
- Martin (5/5): Tepid water - Not much Like warm water. Not good for a bath
- Lambert (5/5): - Convenient and the staff went above and beyond Roach infestation
- Walt (2/5): - Run down, can’t even go into the lobby, have to do all transactions through a mini window on the outside of the hotel.
- Turner (9/5): - The lady at the front desk made our stay perfect Tv was small
- Laura (6/5): - Room was adequate but not very clean. Water damage on ceiling, smoke detector was hanging open, filthy doors and corners in bathroom.
It was quiet and bed was comfortable so not the worst place i have stayed in. Check in was sketchy because you are not allowed to go in the lobby and can only talk through a small window.
There was a deposit collected by the proprietor that was not disclosed during the reservation process. I have not gotten my deposit refunded yet.
- Michelle (8/5): Very good -
- Michelle (8/5): Very good -

- Verified traveler (2/5): Stay away - This place is one of the dirtiest places we have ever stayed at between traveling all over Texas, Oklahoma and Kentucky.
The room stinks between mothballs and pot, all of the furniture had a sticky feel to them, after we washed them the towels turned yellow.
I had to reattach the toilet seat to keep from falling off.
Several water stains and damage to the ceiling.
Honestly when you pull up to the place it looks abandoned.
The lobby has a sign that says " Closed for your safety" and you check in through a small window that is the size of a mailbox.
This place needs a someone who cares enough to patch and fix the ceilings, paint the rooms and doors, clean out the bathroom vents and repair the cracks in the door as well.
If you can, spend the extra $15 to $20 a night and stay at one of the much nicer newer hotels in Bastrop
- Ruben (5/5): Passable -
- Michael (2/5): Worst hotel experience ever - Black mold in the bathroom. Broken appliances. Unhelpful staff. Horrible smell. The sheets appeared clean, but the mattress underneath was stained and filthy. Years old.
- Kevin (8/5): Clean on the inside. - Maintenance on the outside of the building is lacking. For example, there was peeling paint on the outside door of some of the rooms. The motel sign was torn-up, but that may have been due to a recent windstorm. The lobby was not open, so you pay through a window, which always suggests crime issues in the neighborhood. But the people were pleasant and took care of the business transaction with a smile. The inside of the room was clean and pleasant. Beds were firm. No issues with noise. Location was convenient.
- Khan (7/5): Served the purpose of a basic place to spend the night. - Easy to find. Affordable. Water damage on the ceiling, torn bed cover, damaged walls. A lot of street noise.
- Melissa (2/5): Don’t do it - This was the worst place I have ever stayed, the room reeked of smoke, the wall were all scratched and missing pain, the bathroom had mold on the ceiling and I heard multiple domestic disturbances with women screaming in fear. I wish this was an exaggeration but I have literally never been to scared to go to my car. It was an emergency stay for me I needed something then, that night.. and the pictures look decent. The man at the counter was nice.
- Johnny (9/5): Superb - Okay
- Stevenson (8/5): Very good - Everything met my expectations, no problems.
- Wylie (10/5): At first I was taken aback by how dated the property was, and there were very loud yells coming from religious demonstra - The room was very clean
- Monica (2/5): Very poor - This looks nothing like the picture. The bathroom door didn't shut! The pillows were horrible.
- Jasmin (8/5): - Property is ok, they do require a deposit at the time to check in and that's normal.
They don't allow cooking or smoking or pets and that's ok too.
- Brett (5/5): Passable - They didn’t let me get a refund for leaving early.
- Maria (8/5): Very good - Close to food and shopping Small
- Alejandro (2/5): Don't go. - No breakfast The room was dirty and stinky.
- Jesse (4/5): Below Average for $90 - Mold above shower. Door that allows outside air to come in. Terrible experience for $90.
- Pinson (4/5): Disappointing - It was close to all shopping They claimed me dog friendly but we're not
- Trent (2/5): - The Bastrop hotel has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The room was filthy and there were bugs in the bed. If it had not been so late in the evening we would have got our money back and left to stay somewhere else. The entire facility looks run down and I would never recommend anyone to stay there. The Bastrop Hotel sucks!
- Alfred (8/5): - Easy check in with nice and helpful staff. Great for hunters looking for place to sleep for right price.
- Andrew (10/5): All good - All was fine and comfortable
- Carolyn (5/5): Passable - Staff was friendly. Was mold in the sink and bathroom area. Ants on the counter at sink and on bathroom floor.
- Woogoung (10/5): - Very good
- Simmons (1/5): Bad -
- Angela (10/5): - This is an excellent choice for a budget hotel. It was exceptionally clean, quiet, the bed was comfortable, I felt safe, everything in the room worked and it is very convenient to stores. I bring my own toiletries and don't care about decor so it was perfect for me.
- Carlos (1/5): Terrible. Avoid it - To be frank, nothing Expensive for what offers. It needs an urgent painting. The sheets were old and ripped
- Javier (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was very clean and neat but there was an overabundance of air freshener that had to be aired before we could be fully comfortable.
- Marie (3/5): One night stay was enough. - Location NOT a great place for the $ - more like a $40 a night room instead of an $80 a night room. Clean but don't expect any extras at all..including coffee. The exterior of the building needs a lot of help!
- Sandra (8/5): Very good -
- David (7/5): Good - Price Questionable characters hanging outside the rooms drinking. People working on cars in the parking lot. The door plate was loose and even when locked the door had a lot of play. Not a secure feeling.
- Frank (2/5): Place is not worth the price - Place is old
Not safe as door would not lock correctly
AND there were bed bugs
I must of gotten bitten like 15 times
Will never stay at this place again See above
- Carolyn (5/5): I have stayed her many time in the last 2 years and this was the worst I've ever seen a room. - That I was able to get into a downstairs room. Bathroom shower curtain had mold at the bottom of it. Around the mirror was mold around the baseboard of bathroom sink area. Coffee maker stuff for it was all thrown around the countertop.
- James (4/5): - Door had a large gap when locked. Mold in corner near sink counter. Mold on ceiling above shower/tub. Had a coffee maker but no cups or glasses in room. I had to register through a small window as front office was locked at 7:30 PM even though it was still completely daylight out.
- Ricardo (10/5): - It was nice staying there everything clean and quiet
- Ryan (6/5): - It was not what was expected, I wish they would work with open lobby as opposed to window.
- Jim (6/5): - There seem to be renovations at the property. My room was nice until I noticed a huge cockroach on the floor in the morning. The check-in through a small window was very odd in that one expects to be able to walk into a lobby to check in. The phone sitting out by the small window, to call to get someone’s attention in the office, was worn and barely worked. I probably would not stay here again.
- Lenard (4/5): Very disappointed. Crickets on the floor, dirty table top, freezer frozen over, cracked lavatory top, unfinished painting in - Not much to like. Doing remodeling Staying in a room being remodeled and not completed
- Joseph (1/5): Never again - It’s of the worst place… look at the sign that is twenty feet tall tore up rooms horrible If I’d stayed home
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don’t waste your time - For starters, this wasn’t my first choice. Due to Hurricane Beryl, power issues all over and searching for rooms all day, I needed somewhere to stay, so I almost settled with this one. There’s not anything nice to say about the place other than the people working there being somewhat kind. The area isn’t the best by any means. Shopping carts outside, limited parking, and it’s not well lit. The room hasn’t had anyone there in a while. Spiderwebs, ants in the bathroom, ants in the bed, water was brown, and the microwave was filthy. I didn’t want touch or sit anywhere. The AC was on 65 and blowing out hot air. The room was not refundable, so I offered another room, but I declined. I’d rather sleep in the car. Ended up finally finding a room in Austin. Stay at your own risk.
- Andtea (10/5): - Too noisy in the morning. It woke me up. Scared me, even!
- Jean (6/5): Family Weekend - Staff were super cordial, very friendly and accommodating.
Room was clean and smelled nice.
While bed linens were clean fresh but bed spreads were old and stained.
That was our only complaint
- Long (1/5): Bad -
- Gonzales (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tim (5/5): Passable -
- Tara (10/5): Pleasant and low-stress - towels and sheets were clean and soft. The deadbolt wouldn't lock on our 3rd night, probably because of the extra humidity affecting the slot in the door frame.
- Grace (10/5): Exceptional -
- lanni (2/5): - Man eyeing friend and me in lot. No office, office window comments on safety. Door to room
Says use latch, but no latch indoor.
Did notbstay
- Jo Ann (8/5): - The only thing I liked was that Walmart HEB N RESTAURANT ARE CLOSE BY
- Jose (10/5): - Nice place for a quick business trip
- Darrell (6/5): - Hole in the ceiling in the bathroom with mold hole in wall of room only 2 towels with no mew ones brought the next day we stayed tried to ceal room at 8 am on the day i was to check out woke me up out of a dead sleep my check out was 11am will not be staying again
- Carolyn (8/5): Always enjoying staying at this location, usually a very quiet place to relax. - Have been here many times with work travels. Clerk is always friendly. Only problem we had was sugar ants around the bathroom sink area and on the floor.
- Paul (4/5): Disappointing - The bed was comfy Cleaner and no roaches and there was like a blood Stan on my sheet
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leta (10/5): Exceptional - Was very easy to check in. The rooms are clean and don’t smell at all. I like their no pet, no smoking, no cooking policy.
- Zenzi (5/5): Slightly run-down cheap motel but very affordable - The location was good and the place generally met my expectations for a cheap motel. The place was run down. I saw an ant and some other type of insect in the bathroom.
- Nina (5/5): Passable -
- George (1/5): Bad -
- tyb363 (4/5): Unhappy - The room look like murder had taken place there. Blood in the sink and on door frame. Bathroom fan was removed and a plastic bag in its place. TV worked, bed had stains on it. The shower plumbing was obviously done by a amateur, pipes exposed. Health Department needs to a inspection.
- Behesht (1/5): Bad -
- Ashley (2/5): - Showed up to the property and the guy wouldn’t give us our rooms because he doesn’t accept Expedia payments but then told me if we cancel he’s charging me. Not sure how considering he supposedly doesn’t have my payment info. He lied and still wouldn’t give us our rooms.
- Carol (1/5): It was a very poorly maintained and unwelcoming property - Staff unfriendly.
Place is very run down - water damaged ceiling, door peeling paint.
No lobby.
Coffee maker was dusty and dirty.
They say in writing that penalty for dogs or smoking is $200. Neither applied to us but it felt excessive.
It was highly rated on Booking.com in a very nice town & neighborhood but we couldn't figure out why. The whole vibe was that they don't trust their guests or neighborhood and it's not worth it to them to maintain it.
- Robert (10/5): Able to relax - Great Hotel, nice employee nice Ice machine on 2nd floor
- Lionel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nenad (4/5): - Good for 1 night only. Make sure you set expectations right.
- David (5/5): Passable -
- Samuel (4/5): - Unfriendly and barely helpful staff.
- Terry (1/5): I didn’t spend the second night at the hotel. They should charge no more than $30 for a night here. - Absolutely nothing about this property or staff was good. There is no lobby and you check in through a 8” tall window while standing outside. The room wasn’t clean. There was an open beer in the refrigerator, used coffe grounds in the coffee pot, the towels were dirty, and the woodwork looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in the last 10 years.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gayla (2/5): - Dirty, scary and unpleasant
- Hill (3/5): Place needs minor repairs and an exterminator. - Good location. Friendly staff. Room was quite ran down including a loose leaking toilet and had roaches and ants.
- Sharon (6/5): ok for one night - It was the only one available less than $150 per night
The sheets were clean and the bed was fine
bathroom was clean The corners and spaces around the door were dirty. Poor repair jobs were evident. Somewhat shabby in general
- Derrick (4/5): - No maid to clean room and put out new towels or cups. Coffee maker was cheap, didnt supply enough coffee to make a pot. Cups were weak and broken, styrofoam. For $150 a night, this is the bare minimum expectation
- Claribell (4/5): came to tx for event and I probably won’t be coming here again - office was nice bathroom was dirty and bed sheets were dirty and there was alot of ants
- Dr. (8/5): did what I expected with almost no glitches. I will definitely consider using it again - Efficient, reasonable price ( very good, given the date and competition)
very convenient to venue visited house keeping missed some debris, mostly hair/whiskers in sink area
very minor item: holes in a couple of towels
- Del (9/5): Superb -
- Krisstarah (10/5): Exceptional -
