Guest Reviews
- Adamson (5/5): -
- Juno (3/5): Staff were polite and inexpensive place to stay but would not recommend due to German cockroaches and cigarette smell. - The staff were polite and friendly, an easy location. There were German cockroaches everywhere around the fridge/bench area. The room also smelt musty and strongly of cigarettes as the smoking area was right outside.
- Nunny (8/5): Great food and comfortable beds. - The meals were fantastic and the beds very comfortable. The noise from a pokie machine that was playing up woke us up.
- Dean (8/5): -
- Smith (10/5): -
- Shanice (9/5): Overall the staff were amazing. Despite the rooms being at a pub the noise was very minimal and I felt comfortable and s - Very neat and welcoming, the room had the essentials which was great. The shower still had hair in it, I have short blonde hair and there were strands of long black hair still present on the shower walls.
The windowsill in the bathroom was covered in a layer of very thick dust and a foul odour was coming from the drain in the bathroom.
- Katrina (8/5): -
- Samuel (4/5): Do not stay here if you want to sleep! - It was close to where we needed to go for an event and that was about it! The noise was absolutely terrible. It’s next to a pub where the noise went on til 4 in the morning. Room smelt weird when we got in.
Smoke was coming under the door from being near the smoking area. So loud - hardly any sleep and from the reviews, this is all something that has been pointed out before. Lots of terrible reviews on other websites too!
- Chez_M (9/5): A very comfortable room, would recommend. - As soon as I walked into the room, you could smell that it had been properly cleaned. The beds were comfortable, shower was great with the rainfall shower head. As soon as you closed the door you could no longer hear noise from outside which made for a good sleep. They also gave drink vouchers for the bar.
- Joe (4/5): - Comfortable beds. The room smells like a full vacuum bag😷The room was very dusty. The place needs a much needed renovation.
- coskerie (10/5): -
- Jacko (8/5): -
- Natalie (3/5): We were to stay again in June, but have cancelled. - The staff were lovely and it was close to were we needed to be the following day. The noise (and we’ve stayed in pubs before).
- Suzanne (8/5): It suited our situation. - The room was comfortable.
- Christophe (5/5): -
- Ellietino (8/5): -
- Steven (5/5): There are better options to stay - Served our needs Extremely outdated
Smoking area right outside our room
- Davison (7/5): -
- Rob (7/5): - Friendly
- Jose Romagoza (9/5): Night out in Penrith - The room was good with a small fridge and coffee/tea courtesy, pretty big room with enough towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner. pretty well located the bus stops right in front and they have many amenities. The water heating device for tea or coffee wasn't clean, it seems a previous guest placed coffee inside, I tried to wash it but it didn't come out. The Shampoo top was broken making it hard to get the shampoo out.
- Amy (2/5): never again - umm -
not sure - maybe the parking was good! bathroom was dirty- used soap bar left in bathroom.
Bathroom fan coated in thick dust as were walls in bathroom.
Hole in door to interconnection room _ noisy and smoke are right outside rooms -
we didn't expect fancy -
but we didn't expect dirty!
- Melissa (1/5): - Room service meal was nice. check in was easy other guest noise was excessive. Hotel staff were unaware of noise levels and nuisance behaviour. It took a phone call at 1am and a request for staff to stop the noise.
- Suphanut (10/5): -
- Dale (10/5): Great room and great pub to eat - Great room and great pub to eat
- Ross (4/5): D-. Could do better - Cleanliness was poor, noise, hot stuffy room. Used towel on shower. Oh and the half eaten chicken schnitzel in the fridge.
- William (5/5): -
- Geordie (7/5): - It was basic and served a need for the weekend at Oztag. The water pressure in the shower.
- Janette (10/5): Very pleasant. Will book again - Very convenient to family in the area Shower curtain filthy with mould along the bottom. Everything else was good
- Smith (10/5): -

- David (9/5): -
- Bronte (7/5): Great place with good food and friendly staff - Great location and attached to pub with great food Tv reception wasn’t great
- Smith (10/5): -
- Kathryn (9/5): Not bad - Not available Sound proof the rooms more.
- Jessica (8/5): Value for money, good for a quick overnight stay but not the place if you like peace and quiet. - The staff are lovely, the room was small but clean and genuinely exceeded our expectations. It’s part of the local watering hole and subject to drunk and unruly guests. Unfortunately during our stay, there was a domestic that awoke us around 2am. This latest well over 2hrs and while it was taken care of by the hotel, it put a dampener on our experience.
- Karren (8/5): Great service great food I live in tin can bay, mum and I will be back next year same time 😊 - Staff where absolutely amazing the service outstanding , Mum and I had the $10 breakfast on Sunday beautifully presented and delicious There was a fight between 2 guys. In the beer garden. One of the guys jumped into his car he was intoxicated he lost control of the car lucky nobody was hurt. This was at 5 o’clock in the afternoon, a staff member came over to see if we were ok. Nice young guy.
- Josh (8/5): -
- Josh (8/5): -
- Sofia (2/5): Not ideal at all. Do not recommend . - The location Air conditioner was leaking and we had to use the rubbish bin for the leaking water .
The Lino floor in the kitchen was sticky even after being mopped
The doors were not sealed and insects and cigarette smell was constant
The en-suite sliding door did not provide appropriate privacy or close properly
- Samiun Basir (4/5): -
- Julia (2/5): - The location and food were brilliant The loud music all night
The smashing of glasses
The shouting for the customers
The bed
The itching from the bed
- Julia (2/5): Overpriced shabby - The beds were comfortable and the air con worked Poor value. Charged top dollar for basic shabby motel room. Broken tiles in the shower. Holes stuffed with toilet paper in the door. Paint work worn.
- Monique (10/5): -
- Monique (10/5): -
- Rita (3/5): The room and bathroom were both dirty - Cleanliness. The room was filthy. After checking the reviews, I now realise only good reviews are entered. Either that or the people putting in the reviews lied, because there is no way the room is as clean as people say and definitely not as clean as the photos.
- Fofoaivaoese Sharon (10/5): -
- Wendy (9/5): - Friendly staff.
Good meals at a fair price.
Large choice of drinks. Ash trays on tables with cigarettes in them in the under cover area.
- Darrel (8/5): -
- Natasha (9/5): -
- Cameron (10/5): -
- Sean (1/5): Only stay if desperate - Beds are comfortable, & the staff are friendly. The room was pretty dirty floors hadn’t been vacuumed, tv remote didn’t work there was no kettle in the room when I arrived. Wasn’t too impressed.
- Fernando (8/5): - Comfort. Cleanliness. Friendly staff. If the shampoo/body wash caddie holder hadn't fallen off it's shelf landing on my foot, cutting me and bruising me for most of the week, I would've liked everything. So note to the managers ... secure your shower caddies better please.
- Martine (6/5): - Convenient location. Quiet. Good value for six nights. Close/easy access to the M4.Witbh 42 deg summer temps the aircon worked well No dislikes. The plumbing needs some attention eg leaky taps. Its a typical 1970's motel at the back of the hotel . Its not a nice destination type accomodation but served the purpose for sleeping.
- Eddie (6/5): -
- Akashdeep (1/5): -
- Rhonda (7/5): - Ther room was comfy. Bar check in, althou free drink was included. Single female gets a lot of attention.
- Fatima (8/5): -
- Allan (10/5): -
- Michelle (8/5): -
- McGrillen (2/5): Noisy and had to wait a hour and a half for tea - Nothing Nothing
- David (10/5): Excellent, I’d stay there again in a heartbeat, one thing to add, don’t judge a book by the cover, you will be happily s - The rooms were very clean and tidy, when I went to reception I was greeted by Erin, she was very personable and very polite and helpful Nothing
- Roseann (10/5): - The rooms were exactly what was shown online. Even though the pub was open till 4am i heard nothing not even the band.
- Damien (4/5): Ok if that's what you need - Easy check-in Noise, people smoking outside room, insects in room. Light outside on all night, beds too soft. there was milk burnt in the kettle! Food expensive for what it was. Basically this is rooms at the back of a busy pub. This wasn't clear when booking.
- Harpreet (9/5): -
- Youl (8/5): G youl - Clean Na
- Karen (5/5): It’s just a room , facilities haven’t changed in ten years - Didn’t have the breakfast Room had a funky dmell
- Carmel (8/5): -
- David (1/5): So bad I left the property shortly after midnight. - Nothing really. The lady who provided the key was helpful, but had to get help from others to use the booking system. I booked to enable me to get an early start at an event in Penrith the next morning. At 12.30AM I left the motel and drove home because the noise from the hotel was appalling, making it impossible to sleep. Given that the basic premise of a motel is to get a fair nights sleep this property absolutely failed.

- Stephen (8/5): -
- Dianne (9/5): -
- SIMONE (10/5): Great space & very friendly staff. Will stay again next time we visit - Good location, facilities & staff One side of the double mattress had no support - so soft I felt like I would roll out of bed
- Shelley (8/5): -
- Kirsty (8/5): - Staff were very helpful and the food absolutely exceeded our expectations The bed was very low and on wheels so it made sitting down and standing up quite difficult for myself. Shower and toilet room is very small. I had trouble getting in and out of the shower.
- David (5/5): The stay completed the perpous of our visit as a central to were we had to be for Uncle Kens family - The beds are super comfy.... an yeah most other things were average Didn't like the unclean bathroom, an the dodgy power outlet an flicking lights an old damaged iron
- KEIRAN (5/5): - The pellos were to soft. Hot water for the shower took a long time to come through

- Daniel (8/5): Overnight stay for work trip, was a pleasant and clean room and staff were lovely. - Room was clean, pizza was great too! The smoky smell in the pokies area.
- Mafalda (4/5): - The room smelled of deep heat. TV control not user friendly and difficult to finds free to air tv. Dining was extremely poor. Edited one hour and ten minutes for our desserts!!!

- Jan (5/5): - Kept awake till nearly 3am by a gang bang in room next door.
- Alexis (8/5): - The wait for the holding deposit to be released back into my account.
- Stacey (10/5): Give this place a go - We were greeted by friendly helpful staff.
The rooms were awesome. Beds were very comfortable. Liked everything about our stay at the Jamison Hotel.
- David (5/5): Convenient for visiting sister but suggest you ask for room 10 at end. Glad I only stayed one night. - Nice room Hard to find entrance to Reception and only view from room 2was a fence! Noisy neighbours in room 1 for a lot of the night. I wanted to check out early but Reception was locked until 10 a.m. Hard to find Reception when taxi dropped me by rooms.
