• Natasha (2/5): - The location is good for Parksville, but I would stay at qualicum beach area next time. Our room was really unclean when we arrived, the floor was sticky and gross. There was a bad smell and surfaces were not cleaned, there were bugs (ants, beetles and a silverfish). The bedding at least however did seem cleaned. We did not know you had to request cleaning so it stayed that way. We did not get parking one night and our key stopped working and we had to get it reactivated.
• Sal (6/5): Beautiful location and facilities. - Spectacular views from your bed! No AC in this one room and it was an exceptionally hot day and night. There is no way to open a window when you sleep. The sliding patio door allows for air flow however you will lose all security if you leave it open at night to stay cool.
• payne (10/5): Staff need to pay more attention and not offer things that arent possible. - The room was nice. Staff offered early check in between 8am and noon upon arrival they had offerred a late checkout to the people staying in the room we booked and they werent out till 12:30 pm then we had to wait another hour for them to clean the room. In the room it says daily housekeeping upon request only. The mroning after cheking in on of the staff came into our room while we were sleeping. Luckily our puppy didnt escape the room when they opened the door.

• Sophie Chantal (8/5): Clean and convenient, great value and location. - Convenient location, close to entertainment and parks, newer rooms, BBQ and patio area, great value and prices. Fridge and microwave in the room with AC. Comfortable bed. The ground-floor back rooms have an outside table and chairs. Would stay there again. Smaller, newer rooms, but clean and pretty.

• Vitalij (8/5): Good value for your money, if you are ok with the motel - Comfortable bed. Good location, although in front of the road, so it can be sometimes loud. Friendly staff. WiFi. It is not a hotel, but a motel. So don't expect something superb. There was no daily cleaning. No breakfast (totally ok for me, but it could be an issue for someone). There is no much light at the room, facilities are not new anymore.
• Linda (4/5): - We loved the friendly staff and free popcorn 🍿 😋 The outdoor seating area was very inviting. The location was great and relatively quiet. We didn't like the smell in the room, of stale cigarette smoke. The fixtures were worn and dingey. The amenities were odd, there were 2 glasses and yet 6 bowls in a double room. There were 4 bath towels but only 1 facecloth. We received a courtesy call from the front desk, which was thoughtful, except it came after 9 pm and woke us all up. Access to the beach from here was rocky and difficult.

• Debbie (9/5): Super comfy and fantastic location - Very comfortable room. We had a king sized bed and separate bedroom and living room. Really liked the wallpaper they’ve used in the bedroom bc and bathroom. Great location. There’s a path near the hotel that goes down to the beach when tides out, it about a 5 min walk along the road to the boardwalk and beach. Loved the unlimited mini golf that was included in our stay, and the popcorn machine in the lobby.

• John (7/5): Great location, friendly check-in staff, 3 Star hotel that is basic but clean. - Great location and friendly desk staff. ,When we got to our room late in the evening the floor by the mini-fridge had dirt and items swept under the fridge, and you could see a path of dirt from the inside to the bathroom where something dirty was dragged through the room to the bathroom. As soon as we identified this to the desk staff, they immediately came up to the room, swept and washed the floors. Quick response, just unfortunate that it was so late in the evening. Usually The Tide Inn is very clean, I’ll chalk it up to the exception this time.

• Anne (8/5): I’d stay there again if we’re ever in the area. - Great location, kitchen facilities, great shower/water pressure, reasonably priced. Floors could have been cleaner. Kitchen facilities didn’t include a toaster. When we asked for one we were given one that was old and dirty so we went and bought a cheap one and donated it to charity when we left.
• Victoria (8/5): Overall good vibes. - I liked the check in staff. They were very friendly. I was liked the overall vibes of the room upon check in. It all felt cozy and clean. You can hear the highway and the walls are thin. I had to play a white noise recording to help sleep.

• Colleen (7/5): Fine for a short stay for a comparatively reasonable price. - The bed was comfortable, and we appreciated the dishes and kitchenette in the 2 queen bed unit. Stained lampshade well past replacement time. Freezer section of the fridge had ice an inch thick around all interior walls. Needs defrosting! Noise from the town traffic is quite loud as it’s very close to the motel.
• Dalia EH (7/5): - Free Parking, free popcorn and coffee, Nice barbecue set up and Free mini golf ⛳️ although we didn't have the chance to try it. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable but not the pillows. The receptionist was very friendly and the service was excellent. The coffee machine seemed to had mold in it and it wasn't really cleaned well. There was no dental kit or shower cap, etc.. in the bathroom..
• Christy (6/5): If you need a pet friendly hotel, this may be one of the few that you can find in the area for a reasonable price. The p - This was one of the few hotels that accepted pets. The rooms were pretty clean. They were just fairly old. And some of the details weren’t very clean like the blinds hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The location was very good though, and I liked the access to the mini golf. The ground we’re nice and that they had chairs and a barbeque and a place to hang out. I would stay here if I needed a place for a pet but otherwise I don’t think I’d stay here. Pet friendly the grounds had some nice features for sitting and hanging out and they had free access to the mini golf next-door and it was close to the beach

Looks really nice on the outside but quite dated on the inside. Bathroom wasn't very clean upon arrival. Showering if you're tall is difficult haha.

• Emily (3/5): Noisy, uncomfortable, overpriced, unaccountable. - The desk staff seems to have done their best with the amount of power that they had. The room was much smaller than it seemed in the photos. Possibly the smallest room I have ever stayed in. There was no kitchen, which is not how it was marketed. We spent way more than we meant to because we had to eat off restaurant menus. There are string-lights on the fence outside the window & no way to keep the light out of the room at night. There was a large and noisy party directly outside our room that went into the early morning hours. We could not sleep. There is a passageway above the room that makes a lot of noise when people run or walk to their rooms. The bed was uncomfortable. The outside surface of the microwave was sticky. No normal unflavored caffeinated coffee was available after the first night, and no caffeinated coffee at all after the second night. The popcorn machine in the lobby is a greasy mess. Management was very hard to get a hold of to try to make things right when it came to the lack of kitchen and the party. In the end, after too much negotiating, he gave us less than %13 off our bill.

Location was great for easy access to Parksvilke, Qualicum & Nanaimo. We loved the fact that unlimited mini golf was included in our room price. It's not much but we could have used a tea towel in our room. Also at check in we were not given a receipt or instructions for access to the internet. The rooms are not very sound proof and we could hear the people above us, but it was not too disturbing.

Noise from upstairs guest was very loud, could hear them having a regular conversation and watching TV. Bathroom although somewhat updated had an older shower with rust stains and mildew.

Would be great in the summer! The room was clean, the staff was accommodating and overall was a great stay! Not having an updated smart tv to be able to sign into Netflix or other tv platforms!

Had a fridge, coffee machine and microwave. Was good to be able to have our dog with us. Fabulous value for money !
