Guest Reviews
Hierdoor was onze kamer nogal donker.
- Stephan (10/5): - Ontbijt was top, host was zeer vriendelijk! En een heel fijn zwembad.
- Jan (5/5): - Snídaně byla výborná. Problém byl velký výskyt komárů.
- Jolie (9/5): Thank you Ingrid! We had a great stay! - We had a lovely stay with Ingrid! She was an amazing host, and he breakfasts were delicious and filling. Plus, she asks about dietary restrictions/preferences but we had none. There is parking available for guests as well and a pool in the back. She also has beach stuff that you can borrow! And very close to Arikok national park - walk around near the park early in the morning and see the goats! Also close to the donkey sanctuary. I definitely recommend renting a car. The only thing to note is that there was no hot water in the shower. We didn't really need it, and maybe I missed it in other reviews, but we didn't realize before we got there.
- Huub6 (10/5): Heerlijk - Heerlijk, mooie villa, goede kamer, zwembad, tuin, heerlijk ontbijt, super gastvrouw, goede tips, heel zorgzaam. Dankjewel Ingrid!
- Tatiana (9/5): Perfect accommodation to explore “one happy island” - 1) Perfect location for those who want to explore the island, stay away from the tourist hot spot and experience “real” Aruba.
2) The house is very atmospheric and cozy, with lots of wooden furniture, an old wooden staircase that creaks charmingly, and a balcony from where you can observe iguanas on a large ficus tree just a few meters away.
3) Ingrid is an amazing host and a lovely person. She gave us great travel advice and was there when needed, without being intrusive.
4) Breakfast was just amazing! No hot water didn’t come as a surprise since we had read the reviews. Even though it’s common in Aruba, it’s worth mentioning.
Zeer fijn verblijf. Niets. Alles was top.
- sergio (9/5): Muito boa!
- Brandon (10/5): Chill & relax - Ingrid has awesome vibes and made a fantastic fresh breakfast every day - all natural. You need to rent a car, you can park in the B&B's driveway. It's very close to the National Park and you can drive anywhere else you need to go to explore the island. The room had cold A/C and complementary drinks as well. It was very dark like a cave so we could sleep good All good
- Anna (10/5): Perfect place to stay - What a wonderful place to stay. Ingrid, our host was so friendly and welcoming. Delicious, freshly cooked breakfasts every day. Pool was lovely. The room was fairly basic, but clean and had everything needed, including a fridge and AC. Location was perfect, right next to the national park, so very peaceful.
I can't rate this b&b highly enough.
- Luis G (10/5): - Ingrid was a wonderful host! She was very helpful in answering all my questions and was very friendly and warm. Her breakfasts were varied and delicious! Plus the room I stayed in was very comfortable and clean. It had a fan and AC which made the stay very comfortable. Her place was also located next to Arikok national park, which was very convenient. I highly recommend Ingrid’s place for a stay in Aruba!
- Igodau (7/5): Very nice stay on Aruba. - The host, Ingrid, is the best; her breakfast cooking was just delicious. We stayed for a week and got different dishes every day. The location is nicely away from the hustle and bustle of the high-rises in Palm Beach. You need to rent a car. Driving in Aruba is easy. It is nice and quiet at the place with nice rooms and good beds. It would have been nice to know upfront that there is no warm water—it came as a surprise to us. It is fair enough not to have hot water in a warm climate like Aruba, but it should be disclosed upfront. The B&B needs an update/refresh - it feels worn down. But, if you look past this, you will find a fantastic place to stay in Aruba.
- Olga (10/5): Amazing stay - The location - perfect calm location - birds and iguanas everywhere. Close to the national park for hiking. But the car is effential. Host suggested us excellent beaches to visit and restorants to eat. Nothing to mention
- Debra (10/5): Our host was sweet and kind and super accommodating and told us where to go and what things to check - Breakfast was amazing. Homemade and Hardy. Nothing I can think of.
- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent local guesthouse in Aruba. Far nicer than staying in the busy hotel area. Only 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk to the visitor park center. Ingrid is a wonderful host and the home feels like a cosy welcoming place for friends. The breakfasts are the highlight, so much variety and changing each day. The cats are so friendly and cute. Ingrid provides a fridge full of cold drinks for each guest room. Only 3 rooms so a nice amount of other guests to share the spaces with. One of the best places to stay on Aruba. Pool and outdoor spaces are great to relax after hiking in the park. Location is only 10-15 to nice local beaches so very handy. Supermarkets, takeaway spots and bakeries are only 10 minutes drive away in Santa Cruz. Real milk with the coffee would have been great. But this is very rare to find in Aruba.
- Carl (10/5): - We had an awesome stay with Ingrid, her breakfasts were awesome gourmet quality, Very nice accommodation's, nice pool, lovely house and property You wont be disappointed
We met as friends and left as family!
Book your Arikok Park tour with Rambo, he's the best
- Mercedes (2/5): - Absolutely horrible property not in good condition. My parents current stay there not recommended at all.
- Mark (9/5): Fun with a great host - This is a home stay in a Aruba home with great home cook breakfast. there is only 4 rooms . Lots of fun meeting other
travelers from other parts of the world. The location out in the county side Have GPS in your car as there are on road signs on local streets.
- Afonso (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (10/5): Whenever I‘ll visit Aruba, I will stay here 🌺 - Ingrid‘s Place is lovely. Peaceful and so close to the national park. We loved our stay. And no adjectives feel accurate for how much we enjoyed our time at Fuego Mio.
Lots of animals are in the garden und I loved watching the hummingbirds while having Ingrid‘s delicious breakfasts.
- Steven (10/5): Birder's Paradise - This is the perfect place to stay for birdwatchers. There are plenty of birds in the courtyard area to observe, study, and photograph. While there, we were treated to an oriole building its hanging nest. What a delightful experience. Then we visited Arikok National Park for 3 days, which was only a 5 minute drive from Fuego B&B. This made it possible to visit the park in the morning and then retire to our B&B from noon till 3:00 pm. Then visit the park again in the afternoon. Since we were the only people staying there for the week, parking was good. But it could be crowded with more guests.
- Arno (9/5): Superb - Ingrid is an amazing host, so kind and helpful and she makes a great breakfast. The B&B is located in a quiet rural area right next to the national park, away from the crowds yet in a central location and a short drive away from all the hot spots. The B&B feels homely, has a nice pool area, lush tropical garden and provides comfy beds in spacious rooms. The fridge is stacked with complimentary drinks. There’s a good restaurant just minutes away. Nothing
- Illy (9/5): Superb -
- Robin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neely (10/5): A must for the other side of the island! - We were on the island for business but needed a place to stay for the first few nights of our trip. We chose Fuego to experience the other side of the island. It did not disappoint. Ingrid was wonderful and made our stay that much better. She prepared a fresh and delicious breakfast each morning and accommodated our likes/dislikes. Her Inn was authentic and comfortable and charming. We definitely got a full island experience by staying there before the conference in the Hilton on Palm Beach. If we ever return to the island. We will most certainly return to Fuego Mik B&B!
- Sidthesciencekid (10/5): Cozy and comfortable - Ingrid is the sweetest host she really went out of her way for me to make sure my accommodations were in order. She was sweet and kind. An amazing cook! There were two lovely kitties there that I made friends with. Overall a magical experience!
- George (8/5): Home away from home. - Excellent homestyle breakfast. Easy access to Arikok Natl Park. Ingrid is a font of information and knows almost everyone on the island. Home away from home.
- Lukasz (10/5): Amazing villa with a lot of charm and great hospitality - Amazing place with a great charm and hospitality. You feel well from the very first moment when you enter. Great room temperature, all drinks in the fridge were included which was so nice. Thank you Ingrid for the amazing stay! No hot water in the shower
- Mauro (8/5): Very good - The B&B is not in the main town or close to the famous beaches, but if you have your wheels this is not an issue, perfect to explore the island at leisure. The owner Ingris is kind and helpful and provides you the information you need. Rich breakfasts and a full drinks equipped fridge were most welcomed.
- John (10/5): great place to stay- wonderful breakfast- walking distance to park - very close to national park- Ingrid is a great host - very professional
- Jessica (9/5): Perfect location, wonderful food and amazing hostess - The house is beautiful with amazing outdoor spaces and a room AC, right next to Arikok! The pool is clean and very nice to dip into after a hit day of hiking in the National park
- John (10/5): - This place is great - the breakfast is great and the walk to the park is fantastic
- Emily (10/5): Beautiful bed and breakfast with the best host!! - My husband and I had the absolute BEST stay with Ingrid at this lovely, enchanting bed and breakfast. She was the consummate hostess, lovely, helpful with questions about the island and nearby nature preserve, and an incredible cook. Our first morning she made us scrambled eggs on toast with fresh fruit, avocado, and a side salad. Day two she accommodated a slightly earlier breakfast for us as we had to get going to our second hotel. It was banana and blueberry pancakes with toasted cinnamon walnuts, scrambled eggs, and fresh fruit. Both were simply delicious and so above and beyond what we were expecting! But that’s Ingrid :) The coffee was delicious too.
The accommodations were home-y and simple, very cutely decorated. The fridge in our room was stocked with fresh water and a few free beverages, including beers brewed on the island that my husband loved! The a/c worked great, though we only used it a little as the climate was temperate. Our room came with a lovely little balcony where we could sit out and look onto some of the landscape.
The common spaces were beautiful, the house is colorful and property filled with plants and flowers. We had breakfast on the wrap-around porch among the plants. There were some bugs around because of the plants, but Ingrid and her friend lit candles and offered bug spray. The property was a short drive (you could even walk) to the National park.
We could not be happier with our stay, 10/10 recommend to anyone coming to Aruba!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I didn't like that I made my reservation months in advance but it was changed to a smaller room after I arrived. I had to shate a twin bed with my husband. In addition, there were a lot of mosquitoes in the room and no net. We loved the breakfast.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Ingrid went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable
- Richard (10/5): Arikok - It was perfect for me because I wanted to be close to Arikok Park. The hotel was basically at the entrance to the park. I was the only guest so I had the house to myself. Watched Thurs Nite Football and ate hot wings. Easier to get there with a car, but a taxi will do too.
- Marielena (10/5): - Wonderful place. Irma was amazing She rushed to made us breakfast as we needed to go early to the airport. Clean, cozy and homie.
- Jerry and Tanya (10/5): Very relaxing and inviting atmosphere. - We loved staying here 4 nights in December. This was our first trip to Aruba, and we will be back to stay at Ingrid's place the next time we're in town. Her meals are great and she is helpful with offering advice on what beaches to visit and places to see when in Aruba. This bed and breakfast is not close to the beach so you will have to rent a car when your plane lands, but it is worth the privacy. Beach chairs and towels are available to use, and there is a small fee for laundry services that is definitely worth it.
- Patrick (8/5): Nice quiet place - This is a nice quiet getaway. The owner is a nice pleasant lady. I wish we could stayed longer.
