Heerlijke kamers, alles goed voorzien, schone handdoeken etc.
- Katia (10/5): Super nice property, amazing breakfast, wonderful staff. - It was very clean and nice, staff was really nice and the breakfast and dinner was amazing.
- Paul (10/5): - The Abuelo is a jewel of a hotel in the Callejón! Modern, clean and an amazing proprietor. All are helpful and eager to please. Located in the middle of Carhuaz, they can quickly get you the best guides and transport. The cook is fantastic; it thus is the best restaurant in town and one of the best in the Callejón. We travel a lot, are very fluent in Spanish and would rank it among the nicest rural hotels in Latin America!
- Brenda (6/5): Pleasant -
- Aldo (10/5): Family-owned, host took care of us - Local family-owned hotel. We were received by Hugo, one of the owners, who was friendly and helpful. He personally took care of our experience, making sure we were well served by the drivers he recommended. Hotel is conveniently located in a nice and safe town near the airport and with easy access to tourist attractions.
- Km (10/5): WOW! Perfect location & beautiful hotel. Best service in our 3 month travels in South America! - The staff made the entire stay amazing! They treated us like movie stars. I asked about a tea kettle in the room and they without hesitation provided 2 thermos of hot water for us every single day with cups and sugar. The on premise garden is fabulous! Not only beautiful, but they used these fresh organic ingredients in their absolutely delicious meals. Hugo and Teresa catered to our every need, and were not only professional and attentive, but so very polite and kind. Teresa truly seemed to appear out of no where and almost read our minds as to what we might need. Hugo arranged for us to have trekking poles and a ride up to our hiking trail, going above and beyond. I can go on and on about this place! I'm not sure why people stay in the city of Huaraz when Carhauz is closer to so many amazing hikes, and a much more pleasant, quiet, and clean little town only 10 minutes from Huaraz airport. Thank you to El Abuelo and Hugo and Teresa for such a magical stay. Nothing....absolutely perfect! Only thing that could be better is if we had more time there.
- JUANITA (10/5): - The owners/management of Hotel Abuelo are a gracious family who spoiled us with their hospitality. The staff was very professional and kind.
- Stephanie (7/5): Good - The hotel was on our way back from a hike and conveniently located. It was really quiet as we were almost the only one there at the time. The Staff and owner were really sympathetic and helpful. Rooms are simple but clean
- Verified traveler (10/5): Oasis in the Andes - The staff at Hotel Abuelo is superlative. We speak no Spanish, so every day the owner, Philippe, would call travel agencies to set up tours for us. He walked with us to the pick up location and waited with us until the van arrived. He even helped us purchase our bus tickets to Trujillo. In a town where no one speaks English, Phillipe is invaluable. Also, The coffee at was the best we had in our 21 data in Perú. Also appreciated was the endless hot water. We stayed for 4 days and always had hot water.
