Guest Reviews
- Jonathan (8/5): - Property is dated and old but worth the price for night's sleep
- Richard (8/5): - Suitable for our needs. Would recommend to anyonez
- Craig (8/5): - Changes sure have the made atomsphere of hooky pooky town to terrible Casino atmosphere you love or don't.
- Robert (6/5): - It was what we expected for a last minute reservation on a boiling day in a small town
- Harvey (8/5): - Nice and quiet
- Shannon (8/5): - This place is older, but was nice and clean it's not fancy, but if you need a nice clean place to spend the night I would recommend it, and they have a gas station a block away and a Dollar general a block away Plus plenty of restaurants choose from at the exit
- Randy (10/5): - We appreciated the extra care. Owners called in advance to ensure ur comfort. Great value and awesome location
- David (6/5): - We experienced a fine manager. Very friendly and helpful. However, the motel is like I stayed in as a child in the 1950s. It was clean and served our purpose at a very low price.
- Aleksandr (6/5): - Older motel, no breakfast, Amtrak station nearby train noise
- Sara (8/5): - Some people may be surprised by the dated decor and wood paneling, but I thought it was great. The check in staff were great and the area was quiet and comfortable.
- Diane (8/5): - This is an older property but well kept. My room was very clean and comfortable. The owners were personable and available for questions or help if needed. I would stay there again if in the area.
- Steve (10/5): - Wonderfully clean, wonderfully priced.
- Sharon (8/5): - This was perfect for us. It’s an older motel, very clean, very friendly staff, convenient location, quiet, and economical.
- Raimond (6/5): - The train going by every two hours
- Joseph (10/5): - The friendliness of the owner, the fact that he thought enough about his customer to warn me to be aware of the many deer encounters there had been. Very personable!
- Steve (10/5): - The room and bedding were clean, bed was comfortable, TV and Internet worked well.
This was not an expensive stay, and very much worth the money I paid.
- Anne (10/5): - The rooms are large in a great location, the motel is charming and staff are knowledgable, available, accessible and very friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and comfortable
- David (2/5): - This place looked fine. The one star negative is for Expedia as I always get a room that takes pets and this time something changed and when I got there the place did not take pets. Now time to deal with Expedia
- FA (10/5): - Very nice couple that run the place!
- James (8/5): - The motel is a time capsule from the 1950's and is a fun place to stay.
many of the other guests who gathered outside their rooms and talked until after 4:00 A.M. and therefore made it difficult to sleep.
- Martha (8/5): - Good
- Edward (6/5): Clean but outdated - Clean and orderly, but old and outdated with little upgrade. It is accordingly cheap if one needs to save money.
- Michael (8/5): 2 star motel with 5 star service attitude - Maahir was great. I arrived after midnight with a reservation and he was very friendly and welcoming. The motel is a bit older (50’s maybe?) and needs a little tlc, but the room comfortable. Even the late train going by reminded me of growing up a block from the tracks back home.
- Mitchell (8/5): - Clean
- Zachary (10/5): - The people who helped me were extremely friendly and accommodating. They even shoveled off my front entrance from the snowstorm from the night before.
My room was very clean and fresh.
- Ann (4/5): Not so great. - This is a tired old motel on it's last legs. Needs basic maintenance. The blanket on the bed was old and nubby with loads of different hairs on it. Gross. Check in guy was very friendly and accomodating but we wished we had spent a few more bucks and gone elsewhere.
- Daniel (8/5): - Was a cool motel with 1950's-60's feel. Owners were very nice! Had a quiet night there. Would stop there again.
- jason (10/5): Super clean - Super clean. Right price. Older place
- Rebecca (10/5): Cute family motel - Great place and value for one night stay. Manager even called me because i was arriving after dark to warn me about driving carefully and to be on the look out for deer, I did come across one and appreciated the heads up.
- Mark (10/5): Give Them A Try! - Very friendly people. Clean place to stay. Walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, and convenience stores.
- craig (8/5): - Good location -- Dated rooms but very clean -- No coffee maker
- April (8/5): Great owners - Great customer service!! Yes, the rooms are outdated but both rooms we stayed in were clean!! Beds were bouncy but still comfortable, clean sheets and blankets. No hairdryer. Would definitely stay again if I’m in that part of town.
- Clara (10/5): - Fantastic stay for the price
- Verified traveler (10/5): - They were awsome
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Well-kept old, independent motel. About a mile from the interstate, so very quiet. It's a cool old place, well-run.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nostalgic motel feel of my childhood travels .... easy access to train station and restaurants ... clean and comfy with very accommodating hosts 😁
- Verified traveler (8/5): - it was quiet
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Their customer service attitude was excellent! The room was easy to find, clean and comfortable.
- Zachary (10/5): - Check in was very pleasant and friendly. Bed was less than comfortable, extra pillow would have been great. Very clean.
- Mike (8/5): - I appreciate the "old school" style of this motel. No fancy frills, but just what I was looking for. Spent five nights here and on each day after returning, the room was nicely cleaned with fresh towels. The staff were friendly, and there were no issues during my entire stay. If you need a comfortable, quiet place with no frills, I recommend this motel.
- David (10/5): This hotel is well worth the price - The hotel is older but the owner is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and was cleaned once daily while I stayed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Greeted well, exceptional service during the pandemic and as good as it gets for my stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I couldn't find HBO but it was in very good location.walking distance to has station, pizza place and even automotive store
- Verified traveler (8/5): - easy access to convenience stores
Not new but very adequate. Very helpful, friendly front desk.
- Michael (8/5): - This is a good one night stop. Friendly staff. Clean though dated room. It was what we needed and at a very good price.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was very quiet which was an added bonus. I am a light sleeper and do not do well with lots of noise.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The rooms are very clean, bed was comfortable. This is an older property and it seems they are doing everything they can to keep it in good repair.
- RON (10/5): - Quiet area. No frills, clean, spacious room. Very friendly staff. The owner called us during the day to ask when we might be arriving so he could turn on the heat for us. Our room was very comfortable when we arrived - being it was 33 degrees outside.
- Clayton (8/5): Good Stay For The Price. - The rooms were very clean but a little outdated. They still have the old box tv's which have a terrible picture compared to today's tv's.
- Happy (10/5): - This is a small, older property so tihe passage of time is apparent but the owners work hard to make it homey and friendly. I love the brightly painted walls and the flowers at the entry and in pots in front of rooms. When i stayed the day had been very hot and the owners made sure my room was cool when i arrived. I would stay here again, for sure.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice older motel. Very resonal price. Would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean, friendly, good value. I would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Basic - A basic, no frills motel. Old and in need of painting and updating. It reminds me of an old Rt 66 motel that has never been updated. The mattress, pillows, and sheets were old and worn. It did appear clean. The attendant was friendly and helpful. The price was very good.
- ronnie (8/5): Pleasant Stay - no frills motel, but had everything you needed. Good TV channels
- James (10/5): Good small town stay - This is a simple motel in a small town. But the room (and town) was comfortable: Clean and fully functional, and very low room rate. The innkeepers are nice. Do note that they definitely want guests out promptly at 11 am; I found it a bit odd that I was called at 10:55 to nudge me out, even though in actuality I was halfway out the door when the phone rang. A good restaurant and a bar that has decent live music Friday nights are only a few blocks away. No coffee available at the motel but, again, only a few blocks away you can find a coffee shop.
- James (10/5): - Cheap rates and clean rooms. Owner had called ahead to see if we wanted him to turn on our A.C.before our arrival.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was retro, facilities were old but well taken care of.
The A/C was noisy.
It was quiet.
- Allen (10/5): - Staff was exceptional! Answered our questions and gave us addi. info. about the local area and town. Great experience.
- Barbara L (10/5): Super stat - Awesome, great old feel hotel
