• Rhoda (10/5): - We wanted to “get away” and that’s what we got at La Estancia. We get to spend quality time with family. The resort catered to our needs. PROS: >They offer airport to resort to airport transfers for a fee if less than 8 persons but if you are a group of 8, the van is free. We were a group of 16, so we only paid for the second van. >The resort offers private island lifestyle and offer breakfast/lunch/dinner for an extra charge (very reasonable pricing, mostly Filipino food menu) > Private beach > Free use of kayaks > Seaview rooms with private balconies > Wonderful staff (special mention to Nanay Auie, Ate Aiza, Ma’am Meryl and our drivers) > Clean rooms > La Estancia can book your island hopping and Coron activities and coordinate with trusted tour agencies (they made sure we enjoyed and were safe with our Coron tour) > They can make you lunch picnic for your island hopping for a separate fee (again very reasonable pricing and delicious fresh food/drinks). Our family went to Black Island and Debotunay Island CONS: > Far from town proper ( 1.5 from airport/ 2 hrs to Coron), so if you want night life, this is not your kind of resort > Internet was slow (but then again, if you want to get away…)this was just fine for us. My son was still able to log on and take his summer online classes/tests. > As of July 2025, they don’t take major credit cards ( they take cash, money transfers thru paypal/gcash) My advise is to please ask resort for updates before your stay.

• Ireneusz (8/5): Place to chill and enjoy the beaty of nature - La Estancia is located in the north of Coron Island. Its very secluded place where you can chill out, swim, kayak. Tye road is a litlle bumpy and long way from coron city They offer various boat trips We found the trip to black island was one of the most beautyful island in Philipines. If you like to chill out in one place having all services provided by hotel this is a place for you.
• Beau (10/5): - This property and staff were so great, their slogan is "experience private island living", and it is very true. We were prepared and had a wonderful time after reading previous reviews, we brought snacks and a water bottle and cash. Knowing it was very isolated, as such you are completely dependant on the resort for food, tours and transportation. There is no close towns and no nearby ATM. You will want to budget for airport shuttle about the amount of a night stay as it is 1.5 hours from airport. But you gain the individualized attention from the staff. Leo is a fantastic guide if you choose to go on an outing, easygoing, personable, and attentive. Meals at restaurant range 300-700 PHP per dish Internet is spotty but works for emails and chatting. Out of the resorts control there are visitor taxes that are collected while on the shuttle to the resort at checkpoints.(Approx 200 PHP per person per each side of island) It is quiet peaceful and stunningly beautiful.
• Scott (10/5): Tranquil and Quiet - This location is very remote, but incredibly beautiful. It was just us and a small family staying on the property so it was very quiet the majority of the two days that we stayed there. The food was excellent, the staff was very friendly and very helpful And we really enjoyed our time there. If you are looking to unplug (they do have internet I should mention) and be in a very special and quiet part of the Philippines, this is the place for you. . If you want to go party and get crazy go stay in Coron town. The kayaking in the mangrove forest during the day and at night was mesmerizing and if you’re a diver, there are places not too far away for some excellent diving And snorkeling.
• Ken (10/5): - This is an excellent place to stay for a relaxing comfortable experience. It is a 2 hour drive from the airport and 1.5 hrs from Coron. If you want to go to another location you will need transportation. The hotel has an excellent driver who will take you to and from other locations. The setting is wonderful, the staff are very helpful and there is an on-site restaurant. The rooms are large and comfortable and there is a/c and wifi.
• Craig (2/5): - While this hotel may look appealing online, the reality is far from it. Located in Busganga—not Coron—it’s a two-hour drive from the airport, with the last stretch being narrow, rocky dirt roads. The property itself is full of steep, slippery rock steps that are hazardous and unsuitable for seniors, children, or anyone with mobility issues. Simply moving around the hotel feels like scaling a mountain. The beach is unusable, and there are no activities or amenities, leaving you stuck in your room, which lacks basics like a table, chairs, or a microwave. The tiny fridge is filled only with overpriced drinks they want to sell, leaving no space for personal items. Ants were constantly on the floor. Despite repeatedly asking, the staff failed to provide a room key, resulting in us being locked out during rain. To make matters worse, the hotel charged nearly $1,000 for a three-night stay, yet hidden costs are everywhere. A small bottle of water is 100 pesos, meals are 500 pesos with tiny portions, and even basic requests, like a table, incur extra charges. The staff disappears at night, leaving you stranded if you need assistance. The hotel is in an isolated area with no towns, stores, or restaurants nearby, so you’re forced to rely on their overpriced services. If you’re planning to visit Coron, choose reputable hotels like Two Seasons and pre-book your tours. This property is a waste of time and money. • Sharon (6/5): Isolation & Blackouts - The resort is beautiful but extremely long drive from the airport and civilization. So imagine my surprise when I arrived and found out I was the only guess on the entire resort for a 5-day solo stay. I'm a female so that was very scary to trust complete strangers who kept popping up. I tried cancelling my reservation long before arriving but I was informed of their no cancellation/refund policy. The staff were accommodating, but they took turns asking lots of questions and felt the need to babysit me even though I told them that I was fine being left alone. Everyday was an additional face. The resort is ideal if you're okay with isolation from people other than the many staff; garden snakes, insects, other reptiles, and mosquitoes 🦟. They were constant blackouts; no cell phone services even with my international plan; the internet went off with the lights including water outages, but the food kept coming and so did the bill at the end‼️
• Kailani (6/5): - I chose to stay at La Estancia because I knew I wanted to be close to Black Island, and that I was able to do while staying here. We payed 1,500 pesos per person to go out on their private boat and it was just my party staying there at the time. We stayed there for as long as we wanted, and they even brought a kayak for us to use while there, the boat guys were my favorite staff for sure. The lunch while on black island was not included but also another charge and required, and was not anything fresh or special. I will say that if you get car sick or motion sick, the drive to the actual resort is not fun, all dirt road and lots of hills and bumps. Definitely had to take motion sickness pills to survive. The location is also not ideal for exploring, there is nowhere to walk to for miles, it is literally only the resort and beach. So if you’d like to explore the surrounding town, you need to take a van which they provide, and we went to Salvación but this is not tourist area just local village. So ideally, I wouldn’t stay here for more than 2 days really. The staff were super sweet and accommodating and the food was always made fresh and all the things we tried on the menu were super yummy. The room itself was very clean and fairly comfortable, the showers have pretty poor water pressure but the toilets do flush with a lever! I do love how they provided their own van to drive us where we wanted and they dropped us off at our next hotel in Coron as well.
• Travis (10/5): - I recently had the pleasure of staying at La Estancia Busuanga Resort and I must say, it was a truly unforgettable experience. The property is nestled on a beautiful private beach, offering breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere that is perfect for relaxation. One of the highlights of my stay was the incredibly friendly staff who welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like part of the family. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced my overall experience. I also really enjoyed the flexibility of the dining options at the resort. Being able to eat anytime I wanted was a rare luxury that I greatly appreciated. The food was delicious and the service was top-notch. While the resort is located quite remotely, approximately an hour and a half drive from Coron, the direct transportation provided to and from the airport and to Coron made getting there a breeze. Overall, I give LA Estancia Resort a five-star rating and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with stunning beach views and exceptional service. It truly exceeded all of my expectations and I cannot wait to return.
• Stephen (8/5): - This property is very isolated, so pack snacks and even some games. We stayed 4 nights, but 3 would’ve been more than enough. The snorkelling on Black Island was fantastic. We did a full day and half day. Felt a bit let down by payment options at the end. Could only pay by PayPal which is the most expensive way to settle a bill. To the management: Please establish a Wise account which is much cheaper for travellers and you. Also need to make sure guests know before staying about payment options (no credit card!).! Wifi was sporadic and we were without for more than a day which was pretty annoying. We were there in April ‘24 and very few guests around so limited on food options. It will be much better when they upgrade a/c to split system. We were stuck with reverse cycle and they really did not cope with the heat and are too noisy. Overall, a really beautiful and peaceful place to stay but limited in things to do and food options.
• Dean (8/5): - Our stay was excellent. But there are some things you should know before you visit. For example, you can only pay with PayPal for purchases once on property. The minibar is nicely stocked however they do not tell you that it is not complementary and the sign explaining that is incredibly small. There’s a beautiful beach that’s accessed by a beautiful ride through a mangrove forest. The beach at the facility is not very useful and there are a fair number of sandflies and biting insects. Their staff is amazingly attentive, polite, and wonderful. I cannot say enough about that. This resort is very secluded so make sure you have plenty of pesos as they do not take American at all.
• Melanie (6/5): - we are a family of 5 from Los Angeles. the private resort feel is good. we almost had the resort all to ourselves for the most part. the private beach is good for swimming and kayaking. we did black sand beach tour on the 2nd day. food is good but we kind of got tired after eating in for 2days. we were craving snacks and something else and they don't have other options. we had to pay extra for everything including water. 3rd and 4th day we had to go to coron for island tour but we had to pay for van and endure 1.5 hrs one way and it was a lot. and we were happy to had something other than Filipino food. overall it was ok, staff courteous and they accommodated our request to eat on the dock/pier area but it was too far away from Coron/airport. if you don't plan to go anywhere else and you want privacy- this is it. but if you have plans in Coron, find something close.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - La Estancia Busuanga is a beautiful place to stay if you're looking to disconnect (WiFi it available in the lobby) for a few days. The staff are amazing and will accommodate for any need. They have tours for island hopping available that leave from the property. We had a great time doing one of these! The drawback is that it is pretty far from the Busuanga airport (~1.5 hours) and Coron Town Proper (~1.75 hours) so if you're looking to go to popular places in Cotton like Kayangan Lake or Twin Lagoons, you'll need to prearrange that tour & pay a van fee to get there. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time!

Nobody was every at the front desk, no wifi, and service was always slow (i.e. nobody was ever in a hurry). For the price of the place, I would say overpriced for the service you get.
• David (10/5): Getting away from it all - The resort is meant to get away from it all. The main island hopping is in Coron. In this resort it is far for that and 3 hrs from Coron. I did island hoping then came here for rest. The calicut safari is close to this resort and the resort has a very nice island close by to do a day trip. Overall a very nice place. Rooms are very nice. No TV So if you have kids bring a laptop and some shows. I would stay again
• LAers (8/5): - It was very peaceful though there was some construction going on so not so quiet. Kayaking, bbq and fishing were fun. We had the beach all to ourselves but I found a baby towel and a cement bag buried in the sand. The staffs were very responsive and friendly and food was great! The water in the bathroom turned brown during the heavy rain. Shakespeare made our stay more enjoyable and Ate Auring was also very accommodating.

Thus we only had been informed that we can pay activities with PayPal on last day (cash only and incapacity to withdraw) They still don’t look for small alternative when they are out of stock (ex : no jam and no alternative on breakfast when they had honey). Last point, main food is industrial food with not high quality (chocolats liquid with low quality, fruit plat mono product, pork served had only fat and we had to sent it back to kitchen because it’s not eatable) But we will definitely come back to this paradise. We are so gratefull!

• Marie (6/5): Far away from civilization - La Estancia Hotel is a very well upkept property. The staff are very friendly, and accommodating. However, the hotel is much further from civilization then we expected, which makes it impossible to do many of the big tours. They do offer tours from La Estencia, but the prices are much higher and you see much less. A drive to the main town, Coron, is 4500 pesos and about 2hrs away, and that is where many of the tours leave from. If you enjoy getting out and walking amoungst shops and renting your own bike to scoot around this is definitely not the place for you. From this location you can walk for miles, and you will only see a handful of houses and with their spotty wifi it makes it impossible to make your own arrangements.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect spot! - We absolutely loved our four days at La Estancia. Be sure to do the island tour to Black Island - one of our favorite beaches we have ever been to. The restaurant staff was very accommodating to us and our children and the barbecue on the mountain top at sunset was wonderful, except for the mosquitoes. If you are looking for a place that is more unique and off the beaten path, look no further. This place was awesome.
• Thessa (8/5): STUNNING OCEAN VIEW - This what you need to know prior to booking. 1. Take SkyJet, you can make your own reservation online. This was recommended to me, they’re always on time. Know that the rate of van transfer is not included. We paid 3,000 pesos=$57 US each way. Also it takes 1:45 min from the airport with 15 min of rough road. I 2. There’s no reliable WiFi, so if your working while on vacation this is not a suitable place. I was shocked too, had a withdrawal for one day😬 but once you take in the nature without distractions and your inner soul connected to nature you’ll feel more relaxed than the hustle of the city. Enjoy God’s creation, this is the perfect island without breaking your bank. 3. FOOD=there’s no other restaurant but their place since it’s far from town proper. BF-350 pesos=$7pp LUNCH-500 pesos= $9-10pp DINNER-650 pesos=$12-13pp *FYI- children 12 &below ½ price for all meals. They should improve though in their dinner options though. We were also brought all the way up the mountain on our last night to watch the sunset. You could also do stargazing. We had barbecue and marshmallow. The view is perfect.... you have to hike though going up for less than 10-15min? 4. EXCURSION-Island tour ranging from 2,500-4,500 pesos=$47-85 per day. 5. NIGHT LIFE.. nothing...only nature... get it🤔

• Alaric and Ras (8/5): - This place is not to be missed. Make sure you get an airport or boat transfer and stop at the supermarket on your way. It has beautiful surroundings, loving care takers who went above and beyond for us! Make sure you take the Black Island tour. You can actually see the island from the resort. This place is off the tourist track and a true hidden gem!
• JR (4/5): Di not book this hotel its overpriced - My stay was utterly and complete dissapointment 1. Meals are overpriced, I would be ok with the price if they serve us good food unfortunately it was not, the calamares they served us is like rubber, the soup is too bland or salty, the breakfast was a disaster they take too long to refill the food. 2. They only have island hoping for their activity and it only includes 2 islands if you want to go to the other island there will be an extra charge again its to expensive. 3. The room they gave us was horrible the aircon takes too long to make the room cool and our room view was the worst, look out the window what do you see is trees and leaves scattered when i booked this hotel i was guaranteed a good view of the beach, unfortunately i got the no view at all, i asked if they can move us in another room again there will be an extra charge. I was really upset about everything so we ended up checking out a day early. The only good thing about this place is, its quiet and serene other than that its a complete dissapointment. I wouldn’t recommend this place if they want to do the island tours for it is too far from the city. Oh and the pictures they show on the websites i think they are edited to look good specially their rooms. I give this place a thumbs down all they want from you is your money.
• Lee (10/5): Exceeded all expectations and was a real treat. - A fantastic place to get away from it all with great natural surroundings and island hopping options. Excellent food at a family run resort full of character. A little slice of paradise.
• Isabelo (10/5): Perfect place to relax - The service was really really exceptional. This is my second stay in this hotel and our stay was amazing. The service was great. Cheers to Jen Mar and Auring who made us feel cared for. The tours that they planned for us was remarkable the place was beautiful and I would stay here again the next time I am in Busuanga. I would choose to stay here than in Coron, there are less tourist around the area and it feels like you are in paradise.
• amelia (8/5): It is beautiful and secluded. Nice place to relax - It is quite an experience stay at la estancia. A place of serenity away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The beach is private and pristine. Nice gazebos with hammocks to add to the beautiful of the place. Food is great only if they can just move it indoiors but again I think it gives the uniqueness of the place. The staff are lovely and great very hard working people . You all made my stay very memorable and fun. Just relaxing on the terrace and enjoying the view as the sun peeks through the horizon makes the place worthwhile. Thank you very much. La Estancia
• George (10/5): Beautiful Philippine Beaches - Our stay at La Estancia was just we were expecting. Totally unplugged and relaxing with easy access to the beautiful beaches of The Philippines. The food was plentiful, though a little repetitive. My only request would be to be able to purchase cocktails rather than while bottles of spirits.
• John (10/5): Beautiful resort - Idyllic restful stay in a full service resort. The wonderful staff at this beautifully landscaped resort made us feel like royalty. Meals served at various locations on site and island hopping when you wanted.
• Sonia (10/5): No WiFi, No Phones. Perfect communion with nature. - We reserved three nights at LEB and stayed five nights and it still wasn’t enough! I am very happy that I booked this resort despite my earlier reservation about its remoteness which turned out to be its very charm. The road to the resort is still unpaved. There are only ten very spacious rooms. This is NOT for people who have trouble with stairs and steps. The property is on a hill with gorgeous views of the water which is mostly so calm and glass-like. Anywhere you go, you will encounter steps and beautiful scenery. The rooms were very spacious. The balcony was long and deep. Our bathroom even had a view of the water! Many, thanks to the friendly and helpful staff, starting with the manager Lester. Aurelia, Miraflor, Marlen, thank you for taking good care of us. A special shout out to the cooks for their delicious, fresh and tasty meals. Please add more vegetables. 😄 We went out to the outer islands everyday with the same guide Jemuel who took very good care of us. Our favorite was Black Island. Swimming in the caves was a must. The table corals were enourmous! North Cay’s corals were the most colorfull - they were a brilliant hues of pinks, blues, oranges and purples. Dibutanay’s reef closest to the beach and so shallow we were afraid we were going to get cut! Snorkeling is still awesome anyway. We kayaked to the mangroves and across the bay. We put up our hammock that we brought with us. We didn’t have time to use the pool! THANK YOU LEB!
• Michael (10/5): A Peaceful Getaway - La Estancia Busuanga was a perfect getaway. An hour and 45 minutes drive from the airport, it is peaceful and uncrowded. Built on a hillside it is not suitable for the elderly or very young, but the setting is gorgeous. Our room was clean and spacious with good hot water in the bathroom. The fabulous view from our balcony was perfect for a.m. coffee and p.m. drinks. The service was excellent; consistently friendly and efficient. The food was largely locally sourced from the farm and deliciously prepared with plenty of fish and vegetables. Dinner was served in a different spot each evening and this was always a lovely surprise. The beach is small and at certain times of year not the best for swimming but there is a delightful swimming pool. There are kayaks for exploring the bay, boats to take you to nearby islands for snorkelling, picnicking, and swimming and there are guided walks. Our excursion to the almost deserted Black Island 30 minutes away was wonderful. Wi Fi is patchy but works at the reception area. So its a good chance for a digital device detox.
• M. (10/5): The resort was wonderful amazing view breathtaking - The staff were so nice and wonderful, made our stay so comfortable. The view in our room was breathtaking - the bay and the islands. Recommending this place and would come back in La Estancia resort.
• Yotam (10/5): A perfect station in paradise - Amazing place! Carefully designed with a lot of personal touch. Very remote and laid back. Every day a new adventure option - black island which is just beyond words and few other remote islands, local beachfront village tour, safari, late afternoon fishing and lots more. Amazing(!!!) food. Everything is fresh and the fish and seafood arrives few times a day from the nearby fishing village. The staff is also beyond words. Super nice and warm. Everything is taken care of in a very friendly and personal attitude while also very professionally. would recommend to all my friends!!! Note that there is no "proper" beach on the site itself. The concept is hoping around...
• Joel (8/5): Peaceful island get away - La Estancia is a beautiful island get away if you are looking for stress relief. It is very relaxing but quite far from Coron Town. It takes about an hour to get to the town, and therefore costly..The scenery is like a dream, and the people are great; but very secluded.The black island tour from the resort was great, and the snorkeling was wonderful. The service and food was great on the island, but expensive relative to other places in Coron Town.

• Wilson (10/5): Quiet secluded place with gorgeous view - If you seek seclusion, spectacular scenery, good Filipino food with ample vegetables, away from the crowds, bars and night life, this is the place to be. No internet access so bring your books, pre-loaded ebooks, writing pads, meditation timers, etc. Private island hopping can be arranged with hotel and prices are very reasonable. Just an overall great place to unwind. I love how the kitchen staff would pick a random place to set up your dining each meal. A little nook or corner here with a special view of the bay here or there.
