Guest Reviews
- Mark (8/5): Priced right and functional. - Great staff and clean room. A functional hotel for a night's stay. Nothing fancy. No parking on site for cars or motorcycles though.Right next door to the infamous "Walking Street." I thought the room was going to be noisy, but I was surprised it was quiet. Maybe it was because I was on the 3rd floor.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Located on a vibrant street - Clean and comfortable room. Located on a party street, so a little loud at night with music but I expected that. Balcony on the room to observe the vibrant party street.
- Rudy (8/5): - Overall, it was a nice stay there. However, the aircon was off at night in the last day.
- Dirk (10/5): Great location and value for money - This was the first place we stayed in Vietnam, and was a great way to ease in to traveling. The 24 hour front desk was helpful as our flight arrived at 1am. It's in the heart of the backpacker district so is surrounded by touristy bars, but you can still find food stalls and smaller coffee shops if you're after something a bit lower key. It was nice to feel centrally located. We were able to easily walk to the War Remnants Museum and other attractions, and booked tours of the Mekong Delta and Cu Chi Tunnels through the hotel which was great value for money and very convenient.
- Ben (10/5): cozy hotel - location is good. you can take a 109 bus from the airport and get off at Pham Ngu Lao. Actually, when you show your hotel location to the airport bus counter, they will mark sth on your bus ticket which is telling where you get off the bus. On the bus, the lady will check your tickets and she will give you an eye contact at the moment you have to get off the bus. i stayed in a standard room which has no window. the room was spacious. I recommend to visit the restaurant next to the hotel. the noodle is really nice. you must try.
- Maston (10/5): Comfortable, clean, good value. - Great location. Good value. Friendly staff. Not much in the way of extra facilities on site, but in the main sociable and touristy area of HCMC, so very convenient. Recommended.
- Robbey (10/5): Keep up the standard - been here a few times and so far the standard has always been the same.. room is clean and comfortable. showers in deluxe rooms and above are the best.
- nathaniel (4/5): Use the Stairway to Exercise - This area is not for relaxation at all. In the course of a day sitting a few hours in the park i witnessed about 2 cell phone snatches from pedestrians by people on mopeds every hour. That was just in the area i was and noticed because the victim screamed.
This hotel is at the start of bui vien on a side alley. The structure is 5 fllors of 3 rooms per floor but the bottom floor is a curios shop second floor is hotel lobby , so 1st floor is the 3rd floor.....No Elevator!
A/C is in room only.
Careful on those stairs
- Verified traveler (10/5): - If u want to stay with reasonable price.. and want a clean hotel, this hotel could be a good choice. Good place where is close to main street..
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Comfortable check-in experience with nice and English-spoken staff. Good room space, basic cleanliness is achieved. Good shower experience you can find here if you know how often travelers complain about hot water supply in HCM. Another plus point is the body and hair shampoo sachet provided. Its texture and smell not so chemical like others budget hotel. I didn't bring facial cleanser so use it on face as well, acceptable. Definitely will recommend this hotel for travelers who are lazy to do the survey. It might not the best but at least fall among the best.
- Saori (2/5): - When we check in we found a used tooth brush with hair. The wall has mod our room was at the 4th floor, they don’t have elevator.
We booked for 2nights but we stayed only for 1night because at 8pm the power went out so we decided to leave and booked another hotel.
- Dong (10/5): Simple & Clean - I love this hotel. The staff is super friendly and the room is clean. Another plus point is the sound proof is good so you won't hear much noises from outside. Aside than that, they've got hair dryer and also small electric kettle so it's very convenient for those who needed it. No doubt, the bed is comfortable and room is spacious. A total satisfaction indeed!
- Richard (8/5): Fantastic location - Amazing value in great location. Nice and quiet at night and really close to bars and restaurants.
For what we paid it was fantastic. Could easily pick fault with thing but for £10 a night was great.
- Ambrose (8/5): Staff had good English & very friendly - Location 100%
- Scott (10/5): Worth for your money - An awesome budget hotel! Everything is within expectation. The hotel is surrounded by various cafes, bars, restaurants and convenient stores.
- Koby (10/5): Very good hotel bui vien - Price and value. Good shower. Good beds. Comfortable. Air con is good. Toilets are cleaned. Everything works. Staff are very friendly and helpful, understand English, for the most important part. It's pretty much right at the end of Bui Vien in an alley. Everything is so close.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Bed/bathroom were VERY clean. Wifi is not the best. Anyway, the location is perfect, close to the main drag but quiet enough for a sleep.
- Fletcher (10/5): Great - Great place. Good service. Near center, suitable for travel around city.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly, nice staffs. Close to everything. Room was clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything is going well and nice. Would come back again!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stay away - Dirty, loud, disgusting
- Sally (2/5): - We booked a room at Hanh Chuong 1 month before our arrival which we were really excited about. We arrived and the receptionist couldn’t find our booking even though I had paid for it in full and had a confirmation email. They had no rooms left so she sent us across the road to a hotel that also didn’t have any availability so were sent to a hotel 15 minutes away. It was a very disappointing experience. We only had a day and a half in Saigon and a majority of it was wasted just trying to arrange accommodation.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Here, staff members are super nice. I checked in very early in the morning (about 2:30am) but the staff member didn't frown even though I woke her up by ringing the bell. The next day when I had to take a grab taxi, staff members there arranged it for me at much cheaper price (I don't know why but the taxi fares shown on my grab app and theirs were different)
The room was clean and water pressure was good enough. What's more Kumhosamco, the bus company I wanted to go was just 2 minutes away.
This will be a perfect choice especially if you need to go to tourist agencies or bus companies.
I enjoyed staying here and thank all the staff members who helped me. :)
- Katie (10/5): Value of Money - Free upgrade from Standard Room to Deluxe Balcony room. Clean and large room. Located in a alley between Pham Ngu Lao St and Bui Vien St.
- Cameron (10/5): Clean and friendly. Extended stay. - Great location and very clean rooms and areas. Need to improve “smoking area”. However they go out of their way for their guests. I would be happy to stay here again. Rooms can get loud on the weekends but bring earplugs or join the party. Value for money.
- Verified traveler (6/5): . - .
- Joyce (8/5): Nice hotel - We checked in pretty late. I was told that the "last room" was given to us. To my surprise, the room is spacious & clean. The bed is comfortable & the air-con is very cooling. Water pressure of the shower is fantastic. The time we checked in till checked out is less than 12 hours. I wish I could stay more days in the hotel.
- John (10/5): Awesome! - The beds were comfortable, the shower and toilets were clean and they replaced your towels everyday! We really enjoyed our stay at Hanh Chuong. It was really close to the bars and backpacker area, but just far enough away for a little break! It was in walking distance to all the main attractions in the city and the hotel give you a map of you want one. I would recommend this hotel as we enjoyed our stay so much!
- Nick (10/5): Pre-birthday trip - Though it was short. But it was a memorable experience. The room is clean and comfortable. The staff are very good and friendly.
- Sharon (10/5): Enjoyable stay - We enjoyed our stay. Comfortable room. Nice staff. No complaints
+ : Bed was comfy. Shower great. Location great.
- Lisa (10/5): Clean hotel with good locality. - Indeed it is a very clean and comfortable hotel room. Seems it is foreigner favorite street, full of Night life activities at the close by street. Despite of that this hotel is still enjoy a quiet night sleep. Valued for money stay.
- Cate (8/5): Great location - Our stay was pleasant. It's conveniently located so it was easy to go around the city from there. Walking distance from the tour offices and bus stations. A lot of taxis are available a few meters away.
- Nico (10/5): good rest and comfortable - fantastic trip at this hotel, near by shopping area and local food.
- Chris (10/5): Pleasant Stay - The hotel was Clean, Comfortable with Nice Location. It is located at backpackers street. With easy food access. Etc : Subway, Baskin Robbins and Western food. 10 minutes walk to Ben thanh Market Tours packages available at hotel.
- Ash (8/5): Great Location - Best hotel i have found in the area. Will always come back to this one. Close to clubs and bars. Great food is also close by. Number 1.

- Vick (8/5): Exceptional - Everything all right like always! We are definitely coming back.
- Jason (10/5): Clean hotel, great location, close to everything! - Good value for money, even had a view of the small street from a small window which was good!!!Great location and nice, clean room, nothing to rave about but it's fine!!! Staff are not over friendly but just do their job, which is okay too!!! Would stay there again!!
- Maria (10/5): Comfortable stay - Having stayed at this hotel in previous years, we returned as the staff and amenities ensured a very comfortable stay. The staff are courteous and helpful and accommodated our requests. The room is very clean. The hotel is in close proximity to numerous restaurants and within walking distance of areas of interest within the city. Transportation if required is easily accessible either by public or private transit. Would not hesitate to return.
- Rey (10/5): I love this hotel - I loved staying at Hanh Chuong. It is well located on a relatively quiet street next to a lovely park. There are many restaurants on this street which is great for a quick snack, ice tea, or a beer. Hanh Chuong was renovated few months ago and still in a great condition. Very clean, very helpful and polite staff. Nice bathrooms. I loved having a laundry service. If you get your laundry to them by 9 am, it is done by the end of the day. Laundry is not expensive. Decor is very calm and relaxing. Good value for the money. Would stay here again.
- Jesse (10/5): Excellent location, clean room. - Loved the location, closed to walking street Bui Vien, restaurants, bars. Room was lean, good value for money.
- Mark (10/5): Perfect location! - Good location to go around HCM. Staffs are friendly and rooms are clean. Recommended to travelers who are on budget.
- Jessica (10/5): Worth the money - Location is very convenience and the staff are extremely nice. Definitely worth the penny.
- Vic (10/5): Perfect hotel - I always stay here, friendly staffs.
- Verified traveler (10/5): good location - Good location to go around HCM. Staff are friendly and rooms are clean. Recommended to travelers who are on budget.
- Marco (10/5): Great value, nice location and quiet! - Pros Room is clean and quiet Nice hot shower Staffs are friendly and quick check in Cons Sometimes, the price goes up (maybe, depending on the occupancy weekends?) Overall, I love here and will dry again if. Visit here. I recommend who stays at the first night to stay in HCMC.
- Daniel (10/5): Good Place to stay if you want to be near the crow - Stayed here for only one night as I decided to stay at the beach a few days longer. All in all, a good room with everything that you would need. No window but who stays in the room any length of time anyway? Good stay
- Anthony (10/5): Friendly Staffs and Perfect Location to Stay - Perfect location to stay easy looking for food ,massage, night life . Love it . Will come back stay for my next HCMC Trip again .
