- pauln558 (10/5): A place to relax in comfort - We arrived on 01/03/26 and we're immediately greeted with a marvellous reception. Our bags were whisked off to our rooms and we were shown some of the key areas of the hotel i.e. the dining areas, pools, gym and then escorted to our room. Our room (231) was spacious, well lit tastefully decorated and spotless. The en suite shower room was up to the same standard and well equipped with hairdryer, shaving point, soap, shampoo, body wash, etc. Overall, we were very pleased with our accommodation. There's plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet, too. The food serving areas, display counters and tables are meticulously cleaned and the buffet is well stocked with a vast range of food to suit all tastes. Both the kitchen & serving team just can't do enough to help you and serve you with a beaming smile. In fact, everyone you meet working at the hotel are whole-heartedly happy to help you and always acknowledge you with a smile and lovely greeting... this includes the reception staff, room cleaning/service staff, kitchen and serving staff, security staff. There's also the Nalu Bar & Grill here. The menu is pretty extensive, reasonably priced and the food is excellent. There are also plenty of other bars and restaurants within walking distance, in and around the area. The hotel also provide complementary towels to guests using the pool area. You can also use these for boat trips if needed. Surin Beach is just a 5 minute walk away, too. The most noticeable experience that we will take away with us is the attitude of the whole team that work here. They are genuinely happy, hardworking and always pleased to assist in any way they can. We really can't praise them enough. We have been staying here for 4 days and still have 3 days to go before moving on, so will add more details soon.

- Helluc54 (8/5): Staff made our stay - Our stay began disastrously. The room was so small, we could not open our suitcases, and everything was cramped and the room so badly designed, we panicked about spending the next 6 nights there. There are no lifts, and our first room was up three flights of stairs. Not ideal for two elderly travellers. This is certainly not advertised in the hotel literature so be aware it is the standard. The next morning after my email highlighting the issues we had, Guide, the manager , changed our room for us. Yes, it was much bigger. We had plenty of space, but had to have a king bed, with a fold up bed , instead of our requested twin beds. There was still a walk up two flights of stairs. I was quite happy with how Guide responded to my concerns, but I still believe the hotel has some design issues, which can impact the stay. Entry to the pool we used was by a step down into the water, and again, a very unfriendly design for older guests. Nina, the restaurant manager also deserves praise for the way she runs the restaurant, and food presentation and quality was one of the highlights of our stay. The staff deserve recognition for their attention to your needs, and it is certainly a big plus for the resort, however, design and safety issues do make an impact on your holiday.

Very welcoming, professional, and helpful. Juice, restaurant staffer, in particular was so friendly and helpful. She really made our stay even better. The breakfast is very good with a wide variety of western and Asian fare. Overall I would highly recommend if you are looking for a calm, welcoming mid/upper tier hotel.

We had a very small problem with our toilet and it was sorted within minutes via the app! Also the breakfast and food at the restaurant is brilliant! Beds are comfy! I highly recommend and can’t thank the staff enough for a lovely stay. Hope to see you again!
- JENSBritinCopenhagen (8/5): Nice friendly hotel. - Relativly small hotel, 200 meters from Surin beach. Modern and fairly quiet, although it's not an adults only hotel. It has two pools and a fitness center. Buffet breakfast is also good. Nice rooms, very clean, everything works, but the rooms are a little on the small side. Friendly and efficient staff. Only negatives were value for money (it's not cheap anyway and the New Years eve "Party" was way overpriced) and some noisy family guests (which, of course, was not the fault of the hotel). May well return!

The staff are the most kindest and helpful we have ever met- nothing was too much for them. Food was fantastic we ate breakfast everyday and enjoyed lunch and evening meal on numerous days. We would definitely return without hesitation and enjoyed having a swim up room.

Room was very clean and open, lots of light and a really nice bathroom too. My partner and I stayed here to attend the EDC festival so it was pretty good for location in terms of that. Straight across from Surin Beach too, a really lovely beach. A few surrounding restaurants a short walk away but they do have their own food options which serve some really great food and drinks. Definitely get breakfast included in your stay! The highlight of a trip however was hands down the staff. The service we received was so amazing, the staff are just so genuinely happy and friendly, they were really lovely. Super helpful and kind every time we asked for anything or even just walking by. It’s definitely what will bring us back next year to attend the festival again! (Would also recommend booking a room with your own pool, very cool!)

We would have liked more variety at breakfast — by the end of the 6th day it became a bit repetitive. Also, one of the two rooms did not match the photos on Expedia: there was no mirror and no sofa. Otherwise, everything was good. We wish you further growth and improvement!

The pool was absolutely amazing- our son spent so much time there. The beach is a short 3 min walk from the resort, and is so beautiful. The buffet breakfast was a great way to start our day- with so much fresh fruit and juices. We would recommend Outrigger to any family visiting Phuket.

We stayed in for a week when we first arrived and struggled not to compare every other hotel we stayed in after. From the moment we arrived, the staff were amazing — friendly, attentive, and always happy to help, making us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. The room was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable, with great attention to detail. We stated in one of the suites over two floors which gave us plenty of space. The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous, with plenty of choice and was consistently high quality. We also had dinner here a few nights too. Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations, from the service to the accommodation and overall atmosphere. We would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Surin Beach!

- simonekW287BH (10/5): Fantastic resort with extraordinary staff - I had the best days in this beautiful resort! I travel a lot and I have to say, this place is very special, mostly for it's staff. The Employees here, especially at the front desk, (Thanks for everything to Guide) are extremely professional and always kind and helpful. A problem occurred during our stay and they did everything they could to handle the situation and they managed to make us feel comfortable during the whole process. The whole place is very clean. The breakfast is amazing and the Spa is also worth a visit.

The rooms were super comfortable and spotless. The place felt less congested than other touristy spots and is also a little secluded from town. Perfect for a getaway. The Surin beach is just across from hotel, very nice quiet beach. The breakfast was delicious every day. Overall, it was one of the most relaxing trips I’ve had in a while. I’d go back in a heartbeat!

Breakfast in the morning is stellar and you genuinely look forward to the welcome when you wake up, everybody greet you and will do their best to make you feel good. Rooms and cleaning are awesome, no churn in staff (our third stay here) and when asked they all chime in that they like it here. We sure do. Hopefully there will be a fourth time for us..

The room was beautiful and we loved being able to access the pool directly from our terrace, such a great feature. The atmosphere is calm and tropical, and the staff are very kind and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable, with great attention to detail.

Breakfast is lovely and they have a daily fresh juice. Although resort small , beach is across the road. Lovely helpful staff and looking toward to returning
- 117mauraw (10/5): This boutique hotel is an absolute gem! - The daytime Front Desk Manager, Guide, made us feel very taken care of the entire stay. He booked both the Phi Phi Island and Phuket Elephant Sanctuary excursions, and several spa treatments making sure all the details of our stay were perfect. Every employee greeted us with a smile and a wai gesture. It felt like our home away from home. And the location is perfect. Close to everything you need. I also highly recommend booking a room with a private plunge pool. It was definitely worth the little extra cost. If we return, we will re-revisit the Outrigger Surin Beach for sure.

The reception staff particularly May-R, Guide and Gold were simply outstanding. Genuinely helpful and kind. Our mornings were made better by the friendly faces at breakfast where even my specialty coffee Flat white Oat milk request was remembered! We had a ground floor room with a plunge pool & comfortable lounger which was such a treat and we didn’t even use the main pool once. Hopefully management recognizes that they have such committed and special employees and they are valued accordingly!

A very special boutique resort that is well suited to our family of 4 with 2 teenage girls. We prefer quiet relaxation at a resort so this was just perfect for us. The staff at the front desk and Nalu restaurant are superb - special thanks to Golf, Bee and Rung - for the yoga! Even the men at the hotel crossing to the beach are wonderful. We thought the beach was beautiful - unspoilt and lovely to watch the sunset. Kob khun ka for a memorable stay at the Outrigger Surin Beach 🙏

Our room did however look out to a wooden frame to block the view of the building behind which meant not a lot of light came in. Staff are friendly and welcoming and room service was quick. Breakfast didn't have much variety but still good. Would definitely come back.

From the moment I arrived, every staff member even the security guards and maintenance team, greeted me with a warm smile. This kind of culture is rare and made me feel truly welcomed and valued. The hotel is also very convenient. Everything was easy to manage, whether through the hotel app or the bedside control panel. Compliments to the front office manager, Guide. He was always professional, friendly, and ready to help. He never missed a chance to greet me, and during checkout he kindly helped carry my heavy luggage to the car. One small suggestion: since the hotel is so close to the beach, it would be great to have a water faucet or washing area near the entrance. After coming back from the beach, I found the only place to clean my shoes was behind the pool bar near the toilets, which felt a bit narrow. A more spacious area for guests to rinse off sand would make the experience even better. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I’m so glad I chose Outrigger Surin for my first trip to Phuket. Highly recommended!
- 740mukulg (10/5): Unique and memorable moments - Luckily we found Outrigger after searching the usual beach hotels. I specifically was looking for high feedback ratings, reasonable prices and proximity to a nice beach. The place was perfect for us: peaceful area opposite the quiet Surin beach with a good selection of restaurants, shops and massage places where you would want to visit again and again. On our last day we walked to the longer Bang Tao beach which was also very pleasant. On the island tour we passed by the popular resorts and were happy that we selected Surin! As to the resort experience, we had stayed at Outrigger in Fiji many years ago and remember that well. It is not easy to get satisfaction ratings of 10 and we weren’t disappointed. The staff are ever so helpful and cheery, the design of the building is unique and inspiring, restaurant has good variety of breakfasts every day. We also tried the massage. There is a taxi stand opposite so it’s easy to travel around. I was surprised there weren’t any insect problems as i was expecting that in a tropical climate. Wifi was great! So HIGHLY recommended if you want a peaceful break in a friendly area. Just sitting on the beach, in the shade, all day long was super-special. The water wad slightly on the rough side but enjoyable none the less. We would visit here again, love it!!

A special mention goes to Apple, who was truly outstanding , so attentive, kind, and serving with her whole heart. She made every meal feel special and when serving our little girl Brielle. Compliments also to Chef Fiat, whose food was amazing and prepared with such warmth and attention. We were also very grateful to Aris and Peter for being so kind, accommodating, and always ready to help with a smile. The housekeeping team also did a fantastic job keeping our room spotless and making sure all our amenities were topped up without fail. Honestly, almost every staff member we met was kind and genuine. I wish I could recall all their names to thank them personally. You can really feel the heart in the service here, and it made our holiday even more memorable. We are leaving with full hearts and wonderful memories , thank you to the entire team! 💛

That being said, I have stayed at world class hotels al over Thailand and the Surin outrigger has the best trained staff I have seen at any hotel. The room was comfortable and spacious and we felt very at home there. There are 2 public pools which we did visit though we spent much of our time in the private room pool. The gym was also good; basic but met our needs. Breakfast was amazing and we were spoilt for choice. The Thai ice teas we had every morning were excellent and a must try. Finally the staff offered an exceptional level of hospitality. They were friendly and always greeted us with a smile. They were supportive of our needs and requests and were very professional. This is a 5star hotel and worth every penny.

I wanted a quiet place to relax and I definitely was able to do this. The resort is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast (7am - 11am) was delicious & alot of variety, As the resort is smaller than many the service was very personalised, the service staff are so accommodating and kind, I was looking forward to going to see them every morning! The hotel also has a spa (very relaxing with 30% off voucher given for my first treatment) and also they have an app where you can order room service and speak directly to the staff via chat which was great too. Location is quieter than the busier areas (patong etc, 30min taxi ride) but I really liked this. Beach is a short walk away across the road and there's a town just around the corner 5min walk with pharmacies, 7/11, coffee shop etc. If you are looking for a relaxing stay in Phuket I'd strongly recommend this place. Thank you all, I really enjoyed my stay and felt safe and comfortable, I hope to come back sometime in the future! :)

- oliverwY6722WM (10/5): Amazing haven in Phuket - After getting off to a rather tricky beginning to our first holiday to thailand including cancelled flights and chaos in the middle east Outrigger in surin beach was the most welcome destination. Unfortunately on the day of check in i fell very ill but the team at check in were very extremely conscientious and helpful and even facilitated a visit from a local doctor and referral to the main hospital in Phuket. Peter, Golf and all of the staff from housekeeping to reception made us feel at home during every moment of our stay. After making a good recovery from said illness the remainder of our two week stay was incredible. Any query we had was swiftly answered and the local knowledge of all the staff helped us find our way around the island. Outrigger Surin Beach will not disappoint you, it’s a little slice of heaven. Thank you once again to all the staff who made our stay memorable!

- tanyah588 (10/5): Amazing resort in a fabulous location - This is a brilliant resort. It is a mid sized resort meaning that it has fabulous facilities but also very personable service. The location is amazing as it over the road from the beach but is close to restaurants and shops. The buffet breakfast is delicious. The service is the standout aspect of this resort and we will definitely be back to both Surin Beach and this resort.
- Tall_Paul_F-4 (6/5): Couldn't fault hotel, shame about location!! - Reviewing the hotel in isolation, very nice, staff very friendly, it was clean and modern. Food in the restaurant was very very good, both for evening dinner and also for breakfast buffet. Room we had overlooked the smaller swimming pool. Room was a good size, however lacked a decent amount of hanging and drawer space. HOWEVER...... The area the hotel sits in really let's the whole experience down massively. I know it's not the hotel's fault, but it's located on the opposite side of a fairly busy road to the beach. Walking down the road into town is an 'experience', given the lack of a pavement/side walk. Hotel is not located within sight of the beach, so you have to cross the road then traverse what can only be described as one of the most depressing approaches to a beach I've come across in my extensive travels! It's a derelict expanse of car park/construction site leading to a very disappointing beach area. The beach itself is dirty, with the whole high water mark an accumulation of plastic bottles, debris etc which has been washed up. In summary, nice hotel, very disappointing area. Certainly not the 'beachfront' experience we were expecting!!

From the hotel to the staff, cleanliness of the room, breakfast, made up my mind to stay longer. Beach only 5 mins walk, visited the elephant sanctuary, to see they are being cared for, and not used for public entertainment was truly inspiring . Restaurants around the hotel, ok weather was not good being rainy season in Phuket.

( I am very fussy) arrived late at night, check in was fast and easy hotel to find with Grab. The first room was very noisy( slamming doors, paper thin walls) immediately I was upgraded to a bigger room with private pool. Guide(manager) listened to all my concerns and solved them swiftly. New room was beautiful, quiet ( except when a family checked in above me, kids jumping and banging Around) the private pool was cold and I loved it. The hotel is beautiful and clean. A walk across the street to Surin beach ( they have security to help you cross) the beach has bigger waves, lots my prescription glasses in the ocean. guide brought me my spare glasses to the beach so I could see! The breakfast is good and changes. The service here!! Omg it’s so good. All smiles. Everyone said hi and checked on me. I was solo and 6 months pregnant. I felt very safe and taken care of. The only down side is that people can smoke in the seating outside the restaurant and with the doors open your eating while breathing in second hand smoke. It’s a shame because it’s toxic for our health. They did offer to bring me my breakfast to my room( since I’m pregnant) but I also want to enjoy the restaurant. I think they should not allow smoking at the pools or restaurant for everyone’s health. Other than that I would go back 100% the staff made my week there amazing! Thank you Outrigger team! It was spotlessly clean and the A/Con worked perfectly. My only issue is lack of storage especially for our clothes.. (no shelves) 😳 but that is my only criticism . We were greeted by the loveliest staff at breakfast.. Apple, Mariam and the lady that cooked the eggs to perfection! I loved chatting to them all and they made us feel so welcome and happy. We used one of the swimming pools which was clean and perfect .. like a little oasis. We both took part in a stretch class by pool and yoga class on the beach.. both were excellent .. the instructor (think his name was Rung?) was so lovely . They even have security to assist crossing the road.. everyone at this hotel always smiled and greeted us .. we practised a few Thai phrases so thankyou guys! I would not hesitate to go back to this hotel again .. thankyou everyone at Surin Outrigger Resort 🙏🏼🥰
