Guest Reviews
- Marian (9/5): Value for mo ey - Good value for money overall and a good base for exploring Bridlington, Filey and Bempton Cliffs. The cottage was bright and spacious with lots of natural light from the skylights and windows. Despite being next to the pub it was quiet at night.
The accommodation had everything we needed for a short stay including WiFi, TV, washing machine, microwave, toaster and fridge freezer. Tea, coffee and sugar being provided was a thoughtful touch.
Staff were friendly and the owner was upfront in contacting us beforehand to explain the pub closes on Mondays, which we appreciated. Pub food was decent honest pub grub and convenient being next door. Heating was a little confusing to operate and the cottage felt chilly at times, although I am sure if we had contacted the owner it would have been resolved.
A few things looked a little worn and some of the kitchen items and glasses were mismatched, but nothing major and it did not spoil the stay. The WiFi also occasionally dropped out and needed rebooting.
- Angela (10/5): Can't wait to be back - The 2 bed was lovely, had everything you needed and was so quite. The proprietors where warm and welcoming, couldn't do enough for us. Total plus is the pub and restaurant on site, food amazing (the best steak n chips I've ever had). Ample parking đź’Ż Nothing

- Michelle (10/5): - Pub, food, quiz night was great. Location to beach. Good for places to walk dog. Clean and beds comfortable
- melissa (8/5): wonderful stay nice friendly staff would recommend to anyone only 5 minute drive upto in filey close to all amenities - property was a good size and it was like home from home everything you needed from a toaster to a washing machine appliance wise nice fresh bedding and clean towels for arrival pub on site does some of the best food we’ve ever had reasonably priced too beds were very comfortable really thick quilts for the time of year and kettle was full of possibly limescale and there was rather a lot of dog hair down the side of draws only found it due something falling down the side to had to move them
- Gemma (10/5): - Lovely location and great cottage
- Davis (9/5): If was lovely pub did great food as well - Great location to get about Could have done with an oven glove

- ANNA (9/5): - We booked very last minute and it suited us perfectly for a family trip with two dogs.
The cottage has everything you need for self catering, or a friendly family pub just next door.
- Anthony (10/5): Visiting family in Filey - Lovely set out cottage, everything you need for self catering stay, our dog welcome even with his own bowl. Check in and out easy in pub, owner and staff lovely, food ace. All good
- Ruth (8/5): Very good - Lovely friendly staff. Good location for surrounding area, nice and quiet at night time as the pub shuts by 9
- Rebecca (8/5): Great accommodation. Stayed 3 nights. Close to beaches and pubs. - Good location, nice cottage. The sofa was worn and not very comfortable.
- Richard (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - We deliberated about booking given reviews left, I am so glad we did its an amazing little place just off the main road, lovely pub with a beer garden, really friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble.
All you could need for a break away.
Comfortable beds, really clean, shower was amazing.
Will definitely return. Nothing to dislike.
- Emma (4/5): Expensive and disappointing - Host came out to let us in and put the heating on. Explained about problem with shower (but advice given didn't help).
Bed was quite comfortable. Property was warm (once heating switched on) and decent kitchen facilities Fault with walk in shower (which host mentioned when we checked in). Even though we aimed the shower head the way we were told, the water still covered the whole of the bathroom floor. The water from the shower was scolding hot - even when it was turned the opposite way - impossible to use.
We stayed on 30th and 31st. We were aware the adjoining pub was closed on NYE, but didn't realise it was because they were having a very large party with a loud DJ playing music until 1am. The room in the pub was so busy, they opened all the windows, which happened to be about 10ft from the little apartment we were staying in, so we could barely hear our TV and there was no chance of getting to sleep. Appreciate it was NYE, but would have been nice and courteous to make us aware before we checked in or at the point of booking, as we would not have booked it.
