• Adriana (4/5): - A casa de banho ficou inundada com vazamento do duche. Na descrição do hotel consta piscina interior E spa, o que não é verdade. O spa é a própria piscina e paga-se para utilizar por pouquíssimo tempo. Pequeno almoço mediano para o suposto nível do hotel.
• Daniele (4/5): - The Hotel sells itself as a 4-star spa hotel but in my view it is regrettably neither! From a 4-star hotel you would expect a level of equipment (e.g. bathrobe, slippers, courtesy kits, spotless clean rooms) and service (friendly, multilingual and efficient) that Hotel Ciudad de Astorga does not meet: no bathrobe, no slippers, I asked a sewing kit but it was not available. The room in itself is large and with a very comfortable bed, but the wall painting is peeling off and some light did not work and was very dusty. Service as well was unfriendly (at check in) or had problems in speaking an adequate level of English. From a spa hotel you would expect that the guests have free and unlimited access to the spa, while here it must be booked, it is limited to 75' and is charged a whopping €22 per person! So in reality this is not a spa hotel but rather a hotel with a spa and even 3 stars would look generous! Breakfast in the morning was not that of a 4-star hotel. Not recommended.
• Andreea (8/5): - Nos gustó mucho la ubicación del hotel, cerca de todo y silencioso aunque estaba justo en el centro. El hotel está muy bien cuidado, con muchos detalles,un patio interior verde precioso,piano en la entrada, nos encantó que todo estaba personalizado 👍 un 10. La pena es que la zona del spa no está tan cuidada y el agua estaba fría. El masaje bien. José el masajista era muy majo y buen profesional. Nos quedamos una noche a cenar en el restaurante y nos arrepentimos por qué aparté de que salió un pelín cara la cena, tuvimos que aguantar los gritos de la cocina, soportar las malas caras del camarero o los despistes y olvidos de la otra camarera...fatal trato. En cambio cuándo cenamos en la cafetería nos encantó el trató y la rapidez con la que nos atendieron. Volvería al hotel si la gente fuese un pelín más amable y sonriente la verdad, por que el hotel es muy bonito y vale la pena alojarse allí.
• juan carlos (6/5): - Aunque el alojamiento no parecia estar muy lleno, llegue a las 14:30 y no me dejaron hacer el checking hasta las 15:00 como pone en el horario oficial. Me indicaron un parking gratuito donde aparcar y alli aparqué sin revisar mucho la señalizacion. Desafortunadamente al dia siguiente instalaban allí una feria (que no debían conocer en el hotel) y tuve que pagar la multa y servicio de grua para sacar el coche del depositro.

El personal muy atento, nos dieron indicaciones sobre la zona y otras cosas. El desayuno bastante lamentable. Para nada se corresponde con un hotel de 4 estrellas. Todo escaso, no reponian nada. Una sola persona en el servicio que iba y venia sin solucionar nada. Pocas cosas y la calidad muy mejorable. Mi recomendación, mejor coger solo alojamiento y desayunar en una caferería. Una pena, porque desmerece la experiencia general.

El único problema fue que llamando con antelación y diciendo que tardaríamos un poco, tras preguntar por el restaurante para que prepararan algo de cena la respuesta fue que la cocina cerraba a las 22 y nosotros entrabamos a las 22.30. Ni siquiera tuvimos la posibilidad de pedir algo frio.

I couldn’t open the window in my room nor access the a/c. The employees were not able to help me. No maintenance worker on shift. Someone’s socks were left in my room.

We did go to the restaurant for dinner, but it was quite expensive and the menu del dai sign was removed in the evening, so we ate elsewhere. Very central, right on the Camino. We’d stay again.

Lo único negativo fue: Elegí este hotel, entre otras cosas, porque necesitaba estacionamiento para mi coche. El hotel ofrece estacionamiento entre los servicios que anuncia en la página. Al llegar resultó que el estacionamiento estaba lleno y no me dieron lugar. Fue lo único negativo de mi estancia en este lindo hotel.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Hotel bien ubicado, pero el trato es mejorable - Esperábamos algo más de este hotel spa de 4 estrellas. La habitación está bastante bien: muy amplia, limpia, con todas las comodidades (aire acondicionado, TV, secador, cafetera con 4 cápsulas de cortesía, cama grande, etc.), pero el sofá cama era incómodo y la mampara de la bañera/ducha tenía una fuga importante de agua. La ubicación es excelente, se puede ir a pie a cualquier sitio. El garaje es de pago: 12€ al día. El spa es de pago: 22€ por persona y para 1h 15 min. Lo que nos pareció simplemente correcto es la atención en recepción. Y no nis gustó la atención de uno de los camareros del restaurante del hotel: grosero y sin respeto. Lástima del trato porque el hotel está bastante bien
• Marisol (4/5): No lo recomiendo - No volveré a hospedarme en este hotel. Mala atención en recepción sl llegar por la tarde. Acceso incomodísimo al garaje. Olor a cerrado en la habitación, que tuvimos que ventilar para poder permanecer en ella. La ducha era amplia pero el agua salía de ella e inundaba el baño en cada uso. La habitación aparentemente estaba limpia, pero al sacar la colcha de la cama cayeron restos de uñas cortadas al suelo. El desayuno estaba bastante bien y la ubicación buena.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Pleasant stay, but breakfast could be a lot better - Our room was nice and spacious, and the bed was pretty comfortable. The only minor complaint we have about the room is that the tub separator wasn't really effective and water leaked after each shower that the floor was pretty wet. The breakfast was also subpar for a 4 star hotel. The selection was limited, and there was rotting fruit sitting among the rest, and some sad looking packaged pastry. The coffee was also very mediocre. We don't recommend paying extra for the breakfast.

Und 22€ für eine Stunde in einem kleinen Spa hielt ich für übertrieben. Aber trotzdem kann ich es uneingeschränkt empfehlen

Demasiado calor sin poder regularla , colchón muy blando y lo más peculiar papel higiénico como en aeropuerto, por trocitos ( hay que ahorrar en otras cosas ) tiene falta de mantenimiento . Por lo demás se puede ir sin problema! Si tuviese que volver a quedarme me quedaría .

As with all hotels, the facilities can be first rate, but if the staff is not then the experience is diminished. This hotel boasts first rate staff. And they are kind, to boot. You can teach administrivia but you can’t teach kindness. Whoever staffs this hotel has great instincts. Great three days of rest and relaxation. We will stay there again.

• Ted. (8/5): - We enjoyed our short stay in this centrally located hotel, literally on El Camino, and just steps away from Gaudi's Bishop's Palace. The rooms are clean and modern, there is a restaurant next door that serves large portions of local dishes, and breakfast (8.50 euro extra) on the ground floor (the Expedia photo is of the restaurant, not the hotel, which is behind it). We were even lucky to find on-street parking just a block away. Our room faced away from the street, so instead of street noise, we had morning sounds from chirping birds.

The room was spacious, the bathroom beautiful, great amenities, and the lounge areas so comfortable. The location is in the historic old town, walking distance to all the sights. The staff was so helpful and pleasant!!! We ate at the adjoining hotel restaurant/bar, which was restored magnificently and the food was delicious!! We would definitely stay here again!

• Mark J (6/5): Overpriced...pool spa not included - very rude front desk persons...except my final night and morning where the same woman was incredibly hospitable. know you must pay a lot extra to use the pool and hot tub. This was very disconcerting as all of their billboards and fliers show the pool area. then on check in told its extra. went to use soap and the bottle wS half filled. then went to use the toothbrush and the package was ripped open with the toothpaste missing! The price/value was not worth it. The bar/coffee area doesnt open until 8:30...since most people are gone by then its obviously not well thought out in terms of customers needs. I have now stayed in a few dozen hotels in Spain and this is definitely not four stars even when based on the lax Spanish star rating
