- Herron (4/5): Teleurstellend! - De kamer was prima, helaas erg gehorig. De gastvrouw was niet eeg betrokken. Het ontbijt moesten we uit de ijskast halen. De gastvrouw had ons beloofd de volgende ochtend ons tijdens ontbijt te helepen met een telefoontje naar de garage ivm met onze auto. Ze is gewoon niet op komen dagen, na herhaaldelijk bellen en zelfs aanbellen bij haar huis. Ze heeft helemaal niets meer van zich laten horen. We hebben zelf de deur achter ons dicht getrokken en met de bus naar de gatage gegaan. Kortom een verblijf zonder enig spoortje van gastvrijheid.

Leuk om in de ontbijtruimte te kunnen zien hoe het er vroeger uit heeft gezien. De kamers waren schitterend, goede bedden, nette badkamer. Danielle is een echte gastvrouw die ons een Brasserie aanraden waar we heerlijk gegeten hebben. We komen zeker nog eens terug!! Niets, alles was een dikke prima!

- David (8/5): Pleasant stay in heart of simple village - Lovely room in converted buildings. Danielle is a helpful host. When we arrived, our two dogs were not allowed to stay with us in the room or allowed into property. We had communicated they were travelling too but received no message back to say dogs were not permitted. The owner found them a stable to sleep in. Simple breakfast available, overpriced for what it was, but tasty enough. Room was very comfortable with plenty of space.

We have been travelling around Europe and we had our best sleep here. The mattresses and pillows are fantastic. We took the option of having breakfast, and we were not disappointed. We have had to skip lunch as we are still full 😂 Great place, and will definitely book again if we are passing.

A nice note on the door, different languages, but finally all French. And nobody was picking up the telephone. I was on the point to look for another hotel in the area. But just on time visitors called local person to open the door.

- Caroline (5/5): Passable - Excellent bedding Overated- not really good price for what you get. Breakfast and dinner on booking are quoted 12.5 and 30 euros and we were charged 15 and 35 euros. Also the location has not only guest rooms but guest houses and the other guests were very noisy with music outloud and outdoor. And the second evening the location hosted an event. We were warned about it prior to our arrival, but as if we had no choice but to keep our booking and endure the noise. (Since our booking via booking had no cancellation possible) So the 2 nights we were there (me and my 2 kids), we were not able to sleep before 1 am. I do not recomment this place for a family.

- Charlene (10/5): - We had an amazing stay in Belgium. Daniellle our host was sweet and welcoming. We stayed in the Gite Atelier and it felt as if we were at home. We travelled from the U.K. to the property, which is located centrally and the property is close to the airport near Charleroi which made it easy to collect my parents from. The farm was magical, which made our Christmas memorable. The Gite are self catered which means you do have to bring everything from towels to groceries you require, but this only made it feel more like home. We will definitely visit Belgium again.

People were very friendly and social and the surrounding was beautiful. Personally, we definitely recommend La Ferme Château de Laneffe to anyone who wants to explore the region around Laneffe and spreaded the word within our families to go there. We went on some nice fieldtrip to Dinant and made a stop Château Fort de Montaigle which was only 45 minutes away by car. On our way back home we visit the Abbaye de Villers.

The host and staff were friendly and helpful and speak several languages. As we were travelling to the south of Europe we only had a one night stay but this is definitely a place we could stay longer.

- Gwaitsi (10/5): Great quiet location to use as a base to explore the region, great eating a short drive away. - Danielle and the stay are wonderful and very friendly. The location is quite and roughly 7km from a nearby shopping and restuarant area. It's a lovely quiet retreat to base for exploring the region. overall we were very satisfied. There is no mini-fridge in the room which would have been nice.

- E (1/5): too bad - nothing Good morning, for reasons of work and travel I would arrive after midnight at the hotel, I called the hotel's telephone, I spoke with a lady Danielle, who said that the B&B would cancel the reservation free of charge, I agreed. However, today I had the full amount charged on my account. said one thing and did another ... lack of words .... I'm waiting for a response
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - the Castle is beautiful, the scenery is amazing, Danielle the host is super friendly. Home cooked dinner from Danielle was super delicious. we would come back anytime there was nothing we didn’t like. it was amazing

- Mark (6/5): Comfortable for a stop over - Lovely setting lots of history. Clean, comfortable beds. Good internet access. Continental breakfast very good with local produce Very difficult to access the property, no one around. There was tea/ coffee making facilities but no coffee/ milk / sugar to make a drink , no one around to ask for supplies.
- Peter (8/5): It was nice place and good value for money - Accessible to shops and bus services The fact that the host didn't show us round the house on arrival to explain how things work, stock taking, just in case of any incident where we are not aware and she might use our deposit... without giving it back completely or part.

- Karl (10/5): it is a chateaux. that says it all. - It doesn’t happen too often that I have the opportunity to stay at a chateau. After the check in, you have a second welcome by the chateaux owner. Very cool and aristocratic. everything was great.

- Valérie (10/5): Magnifique établissement et séjour - Super séjour ! La patronne de l’hôtel madame Danielle Goyens est formidable et d’une gentillesse extraordinaire. Nous y sommes déjà retournés 2 fois d’ailleurs. Magnifique infrastructure, repas excellent et une ambiance familiale qui met vraiment à l’aise. Je recommande cet établissement.

- Olga (4/5): Left us waiting outside. Very rude owner - TO AVOI - We arrived at 5.15pm and found the doors closed and a sign on the door with a telephone number of the owner to call for arrivals after 4pm. We called the number and left a message, left with no option but to wait outside in a cold January day with a child. The owner called us back only 1.15h later!!! All this time we were supposed to wait outside on a cold winter afternoon. Likely for us a lady (I assume from the family) was passing by the entrance and opened the door letting us in. I understand that this is not a hotel, but they must find a solution to accommodate guests on arrival. Simply leaving them waiting outside is NOT acceptable. In addition the lady who called me back, I assume the owner, was very rude. No apologies from her side, apparently she had a dentist emergency. She was almost shouting at me and kept saying "we are not a hotel" and "this can happen". Beds are really uncomfortable with tiny pillows, impossible to sleep on. On a plus side, the breakfast was lovely, served by a very friendly lady.
