Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cute place, needs little TLC - The Check-in process was simple and efficient. There was an additional Key Deposit required that was not communicated before hand. The Room was reasonable clean; however the trash bags were on the bedside table and not in the trash can, there was food left in the fridge from a previous guest. No new shampoo, conditioner, soap was provided. Parking was right in front of the cabin and was just for our cabin. The biggest inconvenience was that the coffee maker was broken. The location was quiet and very nice.
- Christopher (10/5): Would reserve again - Check-in and out process was simple and straight forward with the most minimal contact. Employees were kind and welcoming at the location. Cabin was kept warm with heater for the winter nights.
- Shawn (6/5): - The area is beautiful and serene especially when covered in snow. The cabin we got was ok for what we needed. I get the place is old but cleanliness inside the cabin was awful. Carpet is stained and smells of pet urine in areas. The kitchen, stove, fridge were dirty. There was a pan in the oven with old biscuits someone cooked prior to us. Shower was dirty and had a huge whole in it that was covered by a piece of sheet metal and wood screws. No towels. One pillow case. Although their customer service was ok, the owners of this place need to seriously put a few dollars into making these cabins a little more presentable. We still managed to enjoy our stay though.
- KimberlyM (10/5): - Very nice and very clean. I was in Cabin 3 just me and my little daughter. The cabin was a great size and we had a big comfortable bed. They had extra heaters too! They had a fridge and even a microwave. When I showered the handle where the water comes out fell off. I quickly put it back in and that was the only inconvenience I experienced. The water was nice and hot for my long shower. My little one quickly made a friend. The people on the grounds were super nice. One of the employees named Stormy even brought us paint and bulbs to make our own decorations for their Christmas tree! The place was very quiet and I felt very safe. The restaurant was very tasty. I ordered the California burger and it was very juicy and fresh and fast friendly service. The liquor store was convenient being so close and the people working there were very nice as well. I loved my stay at Antlers Inn and we will definitely be back for another experience when the weather warms up.
- Kelly (10/5): Authentic Mountain Cabin - We just got back from the best getaway that our family has ever had. We were in cabin 2 and it was fantastic! So fantastic that we booked the same cabin for a future date! My husband and I both grew up on the mountain. That cabin reminded me of the feeling I had growing up. It was great to take our 10 year old back to where we grew up.
The cabin itself had everything one needs. We made a nice pot of stew in the full size kitchen. Our daughter played in the snow for hours! In the evening we all cozied up and watched a movie. If you're looking for an authentic cabin fill....this is your place! We cannot wait to come back!
- anthony (10/5): Amazing hospitality and comfy cabins - We stayed at these nice cabins for a few nights, the staff here are literally the nicest people I've ever dealt with before, they go completely out of there way and are super friendly. If you need any type of help they are right there for you and make it feel like your not just a guest but friends staying over the weekend. We were there during a winter storm and got stuck trying to leave and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and they did it without hesitation and with a smile on there face. If your looking for a nice getaway then I highly recommend coming here, I know we will be back in the future .
- Eli (10/5): Oscar the Grouch - The lady that works the office always remeambers me and my girl and always is super nice and all the staff is so nice
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good location , clean cabin with good basic amenities. Very responsive management!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Filthy - The entire place was filthy and poorly put together.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not A Great Cabin Rental Option - The cabin was very disappointing. It only had a bed and no living room area. It was void of natural light and had no airconditioning. The weekend we were there was extremely hot. I would recommend spending more money for better accommodations.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - wouldn't recommend for hot summer nights, everything else was fine otherwise, nice area w/ the lakes being easy to get to
- Elizabeth (10/5): Little get away! - This was a great place! Little cabin style bedrooms made for nice privacy and much needed time away! The staff was great!! Nice and friendly. I'll return again for sure!
- Ralph (8/5): - Lovely people, older cabins ok, my particular cabin was plenty big enough for two people , my only concern was my one could do with new carpet and sofa but was generally clean
- Lisa (10/5): - Cozy hide away in the beautiful Lake Arrowhead Twin Peks are.
Tranquility
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We got Cabin #2, which came with two bedrooms, a kitchen, and two bathroom. Loved how spacious the cabin was. In addition, it had everything we needed! :)
- Jessica (10/5): - I absolutely loved the cabin that we stayed in. Check-in was quick and easy entire resort staff was very friendly. Few staff members live on property and are always available. Restaurant attached to the property.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Small isolated cabin with clean bed and bathroom. It isn’t a five star hotel but good enough for what getaway supposed to be.
- Steve (10/5): Wonderful place to stay! - Hotel staff helpful and available 24 hrs. I enjoyed a quiet, secluded, relaxing and refreshing stay. The Restaurant on property with a market next door. Morning walks and hiking were great.
- Tere (10/5): - We had a great weekend at the cabin. Dinner at the grill was delicious.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything was perfect there. The staff and alsonthe cabin. Very clean and neat.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The cabin was cozy, self sufficient and close to everything
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Cute at first, but things start getting very sketchy. First thing found was a needle in a drawer and I believe that perfectly sums up what you’re signing yourself up for.
- Beware (4/5): - Our original room was switched due to the excessive smoke smell, broken toilet seat, and poor drainage of toilet.
The room we ended up staying in had: a toilet flapper which was half way to being completely broken, the toilet had trouble flushing, linens and towels had blood stains, no pillow cases on the pillows, toilet paper holder was broken and off the wall and just placed on the shelf, the shower drain was held in place by duck tape, the television remote control didn’t work, a handle on the dresser was broken/missing, the ceiling portion above the bed had multiple sets of handprints, but the worst part must have been the super bright porch light which was set to a timer and stayed on all night shining through the glass door of the room which was adjacent to the bed that only had a make shift curtain placed across the door.
We have been here a few times before and we’re contemplating on not returning on our last stay but unfortunately this will be our last time staying here. It seems that every year things look worse and worse.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Property was good. Staff was friendly however there were many things that needed attention. When we first entered the cabin it smelled of ash from the fireplace. It should of been clean out. The heater didn’t work, missing coffee filter, no washcloth and one bath towel looked like an oversized hand towel. Floor was dirty, my husband’s Sox were filthy. They had a nice jacuzzi tub. However, the sides were very high and it was very hard to get in and out with no hand bar for people with bad knees
- James (8/5): Nice convenient - Perfect location, nice restaurant and market near by, tweakers making noise all night for a garage sale in the cabin next to me
- Will (6/5): - Cabin was run down, out-dated and somewhat dusty. Bed was hard but pillows were good. Shower was hot and in good working order. Staff were friendly.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property is in the process of being fixed up. The good parts were good, but the old and worn out parts were not inviting. It is good if all you want is a clean bed to sleep in and a working bathroom. There was a full kitchen, but nothing to work with. The closest we had to silverware was the plastic stir stick for the coffee! No cookware and only about a half dozen miss macthed dishes. When I asked the manager about getting some silverware, he said he had some plastic forks at his house. I ended up buying a box of plasticware at the convenience store. There was a basket of coffee packets, cream and sugars, but no coffee maker, only a one cup hot water maker, I guess to do the pour and drip method? Again, back to the convenience store. The balcony door from the bedroom would not only not lock, it wouldn't close or latch shut. I ended up putting the night stand in front of it. The fire pit area was right outside our cabin and thers was a bunch of guys out there the first night being very loud. There was no cut off quiet hour. There also was no written literature about the property, rules, map of the area or amenities, only the charges for missing towels. My neice was staying just around the corner at the Pine Rose cabins. If I had it to do over, that is where we would stay.
- Stacy (10/5): - Very nice quiet place. Loved that it was separate lodge
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Beautiful setting but alot of confusion. Our tv remote control didn't work with our tv and the heater didn't work the first night and it was cold in the 40s. Adam was very nice and accommodating but he was spread thin with all the other cabins. It was after 10pm when he finally got back to us with the correct remote and my husband had to buy a firestarter log for $8.50 so we could be warm. For the price they charge I would expect better.
- Eric (2/5): AVOID - Total Shock how bad this place is now. DO NOT STAY HERE. Front door wouldn't open, sticks. Walk in to the worst cigarette smell. Couches torn, stained, floors dirty, lights upstairs don't work, broken light bulb in halfway. Comforter in twin room dirty. Scariest thing is there was blood splatter on ceiling, towel rack & floor by the broken down jetted tub. We were in living room & some guy with a giant dog walks right into the cabin...wth!! There are permanent residents that live there, totally rude, yelling at all hours. The people that run the place seemed nice but, never cleaned or vacuumed up the broken glass upstairs like we asked. Avoid this place at all costs. Sad because we've stayed there before, couple years ago and was so nice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great stay, awesome service!! Clean and very spacious will recommend and I will stay again
- Verified traveler (10/5): - My anniversary fell on a Thursday this year and the hubby and I decided to get away for the night. We decided a cabin would be great. I booked my cabin at the Antlers Inn before reading the comments and reviews on the property; which for the most part are pretty negitive. A little discouraged, we went anyways. After all, the price was awesome and we were only staying one night. And we are so happy we did. For starters we were allowed a 1pm check in which was great considering our short stay. Our cabin was very nice and extremely clean. Not to mention the staff was awesome. Letty checked us in and was great from beginning to end. Not only did she make check in a breeze, but she even preheated our cabin for us and brought us firewood after escorting us to our cabin. She also geanted us a late check out of 1pm. Adam rocks as well!! To our suprise it snowed and we were worried about weather conditions the next day. Adam went above and beyond by offering us chains to get down the hill AND even offered to follows us down the hill the next morning if needed. They both were really helpful by way of food delivery place in town and were overall very accommodating to me and my husband. My stay was very pleasant and i will be returning with my kids this summer.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I called and asked about changing my reservation, and they told me there would be a large fee so I told them I didn't want to make any changes. The day of my reservation I called to check in and they said they had "lost my reservation". I asked if I would be given a refund and they said yes. Dozens of phone calls later, and working with Expedia too, they refused to give me a refund. So no hotel room, and I had to pay the entire bill. Very frustrating experience.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location, views, and management are amazing.
needed another trash can and some napkins.
overall, very good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was right next to a restaurant and a liquor store and had adequate spacing. All good
- Deanna (10/5): - Amazing room and décor!!!! Highly recommend
- Juan (10/5): - Quiet area, great staff, clean enviroment, very confortable stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was quaint and clean but it had to much uneven flooring really not very safe for seniors!
- Bill & Phyllis (8/5): Return visit. - It was fun to return to the hotel where we spent our honeymoon 46 years ago.
- Verified traveler (2/5): The cursed cabin - Someone snuck into the room after we checked & took a bath; the pilot light went out on the water heater = cold shower! Exposed outlets, exposed bathroom fan, 2 of 6 can lights worked. Luckily sheets were clean. Front desk clerk stated that our cabin was "cursed". Couldn't park in our spot due to more "permanent" resident cars & kids toys.
I could not honestly recommend this hotel to anyone.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Dirty and Smelly - Carpet is extremely gross stains everywhere and dirty. The couches in the living space used to be microfiber but they are so disgustingly dirty that they look like leather, i had to put a blanket over them to be able to sit. My family and I spent a weekend here and only 2 rolls of toilet paper were given to us for the weekend, on top of this , the restroom was not cleaned , looked like it had just been used . The tub most likely had issues because , the covers for the bottom part were off, leaving all the pipes exposed. Not going back to this place.
- JD (8/5): - Nice location in a cozy cabin. Nice weekend escape from the city. Customer service lacking on Super Bowl Sunday as they could not locate staff to service our room.
- alex (10/5): Great cabin close to san bernardino - Really big and spacious cabin. 20min drive from San Bernardino. The restraunt next door is delicious, but could get packed and pricey.
- Dan (10/5): Not too far from the mountain. - Very roomy plenty of beds for a bunch of people to sleep. A good amount of room nice kitchen!
- Diana (10/5): Affordable and easy cabins - I stayed here once before it's cheap and pretty cool, got our own cabin and the heat was already on for us
- maddy (10/5): family vacation - It was great! I reserved 2 cabins both were awesome! Recently redone and the staff were attentive and very polite. My family and I will definitely be returning back!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Pros and cons for this large cabin - There's good and bad: The cabin size was awesome. The spiral staircase was really tight and very steep. Stay away if you have toddlers (you won't be able to relax with that open staircase). The sheets on one bed had cigarette holes and hair (so gross) but the rest were fine. The bathrooms were updated and roomy. The kitchen and common area were spacious. The coffee maker was in need of a cleaning (we opted for Starbucks). The couch was very worn. Great lottle spot for group or large family going to Lake Arrowhead.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great spacious cabin.
- Argenis (2/5): - Unfortunately my Cabin did not have a fireplace. The main reason why I picked this cabin was for a fireplace. The booking page mentions that these cabins come with fireplaces. I will never stay here again and will be hesitant again to book from hotels.com. In addition, the rooms had dirty sheets and stains. I had to call the lobby to bring me new sheets. I then had to wait over an hour for new sheets.
- Tino (4/5): The "Wood She'd Cabin":( - The cabin was tiny, it was the size of a bedroom.
The bed was to big for the bed frame and it was Very Noisy to boot.
The full kitchen was in fact a mini frig with a microwave stacked on top of it topped off with the coffee maker on top of that.
There were no extras in the bathroom like a hair dryer, iron........
I was not impressed at all, thank goodness I was there Just a couple of nights.
This was not what was advertised on the Expedia Web site and what I booked.
