• Jonathan (10/5): Great facility, but the street needs improvements - First the good points. An excellent "condo" style facility, with lots of room. 2 balconies/decks. garage. full kitchen. Needs improvement: the street leading to the buildings is extremely dark, and doesn't have any signs except at the very end of the street. The street has lots of pot-holes. Also, they need to send everyone an email stating that you need to pick up the keys at the Bay Voyage Inn, which is about a mile away.

• Paul (8/5): Absolutely a great location with spacious accommodations at a great value for the time of year. - Restaurant (JB's) at the sister facility (Bay Voyage) is EXCEPTIONAL in terms of service, quality, value and overall experience. Club Wyndham condos are spacious and quiet. Decor in the condos is getting dated. Also was a little frustrating that I needed to fix the cable myself (broken pin setting); reinstall a sink aerator in the bathroom and climb on a chair placed on top of the dining room table to adjust the fan speed setting..... There was also a noticeable odor from the furniture in the unit we stayed in (unit #2 - no pun intended :))

• Fatima (1/5): AWFUL - everyone on the staff besides the new GM Helena, that works out of the Bay Voyage location I used to love visiting Newport Overlook, and my family has been going there for over 15 years. However, my recent experience has left me deeply disappointed. I made a reservation for Presidents' Day weekend back in December, eager to spend four nights and five days with my family. Given a previous mishap with Helena, the general manager, I double-checked our reservation on the Tuesday and Friday before our arrival, and everything seemed fine. I even called on Friday at 6:03 pm to confirm once more. However, upon our arrival after a day of travel to Jamestown, we were shocked to find out that our reservation had been canceled. According to Booking.com, someone from reservations at Extra Holidays had called the night before to cancel, citing overbooking. It's frustrating that despite our efforts to confirm, no one bothered to inform us of the cancellation. We had our car packed and were eagerly anticipating a weekend of family time with nieces and nephews, only to be left stranded with no alternative accommodations available in the area. To add insult to injury, it's suspicious that my reservation was canceled immediately after speaking with Helena on Friday. This entire experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I have no intention of ever returning to Newport Overlook. It's a shame that such negligence and lack of communication ruined what was supposed to be a cherished family gathering.

I want to compliment Isabel, behind the lobby desk. She was very helpful, and welcoming. All around a really nice stay.

• FAE (8/5): - We enjoyed having a very spacious 2 bed /2 .5 bath condo to accommodate our family. We were thrilled to have such an amazing view of the Narragansette Bay and the Newport Bridge. Stunning lights at night from the Bridge and Newport and amazing sunrise each morning. There was a full kitchen with essentials for serving, we had take out from local places. Great location, friendly staff. We had a few hiccups with leaky kitchen sink faucet and an exterior alarm of the generator outside our unit that went off at 3 AM and no one responded to until 7:30AM despite our calls and text. Otherwise, this is a gem of a location with easy walk to town or short drive to Newport itself.

• Alexzaya (10/5): Amazing place to stay. - We loved this place and will absolutely be going back. It was quiet, with an incredibly beautiful view of the ocean and the bridges. The staff is extremely helpful and reply quickly to any and all questions. The check in office is located off site. I do with they had told you that prior. I was trying to check in well after dark and it was coldddd. But the place was open, lots of light in the daytime and spacious, the cleanliness of it could have been improved upon. Quite a bit of dirt and dust accumulation in main areas and the faucets in the bathrooms weren’t very clean. But, overall, I would still happily stay there. Everything besides the cleaning part (which can be fixed) was perfect.

• Douglas P (10/5): Excellent! - This place was excellent! 1 minor issue was that the heat pump outside downstairs bedroom was noisy if the heat came on. Solved it by lowering heat and staying under the covers. Not an issue at all but the floor plan did not match the web site. I saw 2 bedrooms upstairs with kitchen, LR and DR down. This had master (king) down and addition BR, LR & DR up.
• Joerg (10/5): Tolles Ferienhaus mit malerischer Kulisse! - Leider waren wir auf unserer Neuengland-Rundfahrt nur zwei Tage im Wyndham Newport Overlook, hier hätte man es gut länger aushalten können. Die beste Unterkunft unserer Reise! Ein voll ausgestattetes Ferienhäuschen mit reichlich Platz für 4-6 Leute. Moderne Küche, zwei Bäder, bequeme Betten, Waschmaschine und Trockner, Balkon und Terasse, was will man mehr! Die Rezeption vor Ort ist allerdings offenbar zumeist nicht besetzt, Check-In und Check-Out erfolgen im knapp einen Kilometer entfernten Haupthaus in Jamestown. Diese war völlig problemlos und anders als in anderen Wyndham Resorts auch ausnahmsweise vollkommen ohne den Versuch, auch ausländische Gäste zur Teilnahme an irgendwelchen TimeSharing-Verkaufsveranstaltungen zu drängen. Perfekter Aufenthalt!

• Jeff (10/5): Very pleasant experience in the historical Jamesto - We have an excellent experience in this hotel. The rate was reasonable. The location was closed to everything. Short drive to Newport. Kids asked to stay longer that tell you they enjoyed the visit.
• Niki (10/5): Quiet Paradise - My husband I stayed in one of the condos on the Overlook property. It was so quiet, and there are beautiful views as it is right on the ocean. The condo is very spacious. The kitchen was full equipped, and outdoor grill was a bonus to save $ on eating out for all meals. Perfect location as it is a 5 minute ride to downtown Newport yet isolated enough for your own quiet paradise! I would definitely stay here again!!
• Verified traveler (8/5): Weekend stay - Our stay was great with one minor exception. The heat on the first floor was not functioning properly. The second floor was very warm but the floor was cold. The thermostat would not regulate both floors. Other than that the unit was great. It was spacious and clean.

• Alexander (8/5): Read the fine print - Place was great. Really big, really clean, and right on the water. But upon arrival we were informed that after our first day of the stay we would have to pack up and move into another unit. It was a real pain to get into our place and then pack it all up the next day and move for just one more day. The staff was very nice, but did not do anything to compensate us for the discomfort of the move. Instead I was informed that this move was listed in the fine print of the booking info. Who reads the fine print?
• Susanne (10/5): OK in Jamestown, RI - Small place with only 19 units, and it was nice and quiet - we really enjoyed it! Huge condo, nicely appointed although age is showing a little. We had a partly view of the water from the balcony. It is the second time we try a Wyndham property, and also the second time we experience the place being dusty with cobweb :( Sheets, towels, bathroom etc. are clean, but there are still several places in the units where dust has accumulated, as well as some cobweb. If that does not freak you out, you´re OK :) Close to Jamestown, which is a small town on the island. Friendly people, but shops closed early. Go across the bridge to Newport and you will have a plethora of restaurants to chose from! Great beaches in the area - it was very nice for some much needed down time. There is a small pool and a hot tub, but we did not test the waters :) Tip: Try to get there by daylight - makes it easier to find. If you come late, you need to circle back to the other Wyndham Hotel down the street (and it´s one way..) for check in. Would we stay again? Probably if the right price comes up and we are in the area - we did enjoy it :)
• Verified traveler (10/5): - This place was more for a 4 member family destination. We were only 2, place was too big for 2. Very clean everything and nice setting. Awesome spot right outside of Newport. 5~7 min drive to downtown, but it require to pay toll each time you travel to Newport.

• sailon (10/5): Larger than expected - For the price this is the best deal in town. I reserved what was called a suite and was amazed when they put me a condo with two floors, full kitchen and three bedrooms. All for less than nearby hotels and anything available in Newport.
