Guest Reviews
- Allan (5/5): Liked the place, but hard to sleep. - Good location, large comfortable room. There was construction noise all night long.
- Jose (10/5): -
- Katrina (10/5): Low-key Bestie getaway đź’• - Shelly at the Front desk was an absolute sweet heart. She made the whole stay so comfortable and went above her duties to make sure it was great. Nothing!!!
- Thanh (9/5): Very good - I love it Good
- Sandra (9/5): Superb -
- Amanda (8/5): - The personnel were excellent, kind, helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean and had all that we needed. It was walkable, close to everything. We appreciated the warm pool this time of year and the game room. Thank you! We'll be back.
- Christopher (8/5): - Place is located walking distance from downtown.
- Anatoliy (2/5): - This property is a joke. They overbooked and our Valentine weekend that we have planed for a while and made all reservations ahead of time and still when we came (4 hour drive one way) they just said they have nothing available and the best thing they can do is give us reimbursement or another property 1 hour away.
- Wendy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robin (10/5): - Great location in Chelan - easy walk to the City Park beach, to shopping, to grocery. It is not right on the beach, but has its own pool and small fitness facility.
- Joanne (10/5): - The property was great!!
Adam and Derek were extremely friendly and accomodating.
Thanks so much!!
- Debbie (10/5): - This is one of our favorite worldmark properties. Lovely units. Ours was recently updated and looks great. We appreciated the new feature for connecting your devices to the TV too. So much better than it used to be. Great location and enjoyed the pool, still early enough in the season that all was pretty quiet, but great weather.
- Keegan (10/5): - Staff were incredibly nice and helpful. The fire pit and bbqs were in great condition and convenient. Room was large and felt like a home. Great price and great everything.
- Kim (10/5): - From check-in to check-out the experience was positive, seamless. The room was clean and comfortable.
- M Jane (10/5): - Very conveniently located. The timeshare concept gave us much more room and amenities than a conventional hotel room. The price was fantastic. I will definitely consider WorldMark properties when traveling.
- X9202QHelenab (2/5): The property easily cancel your reservation on a day of your arrival - I have reserved one-bedroom suite at the Chelan Lake House one month before our trip through booking.com and my credit card was fully charged at the time of reservation. I've got a confirmation message few days before our trip. However when we arrived at the Chelan Lake House at 7 pm on October 7 to check in, I was told at the front desk that the property is overbooked since October 6 (!) and they decided to "relocate" us, i.e. I had to call booking.com to ask to find us other place to stay. After one hour on the phone with booking.com I was told that they can't find any similar accomodation at Chelan at that time (of course, everything was already booked). So we basically were kicked out of the reserved and paid accomodation nowhere, we had to go to another town to find ourselves a place for staying overnight. I even couldn't imagine this might happen in our world. So please beware it might always happen if you deal with this property, I understand this "relocation" is a standard procedure for them.
- Leslie (10/5): - Would have preferred a king size bed but otherwise the Lake House was lovely. A great place to stay!
- Lee (10/5): It was very delightful and restfull - n/a all good
- Tarnjot (8/5): Very good - Pool, amenities Had to pay extra for wifi, no housekeeping, and no direct lake access
- Amanda (10/5): - Near everything!
- Antuela (10/5): - Was perfect for the family. Swimming pool was very good and very convenient. I love it.
- Jamie (8/5): - Our room smells like smoke, which was very frustrating, considering it to smoke free property
- Josh (8/5): Very good - Convenient and clean Parking was pretty tight
- Baranchuk (6/5): Pleasant - Great location and property overall. Had a nice pool area with a hot tub. These are residence type rooms. They have a full kitchen which is great if you cook on vacation. Unfortunately the guests before us burnt something in the oven. The staff did a “self clean cycle” on the oven before we checked in at 10 and we got there at 3 pm. However the brunt stench was so strong and was still there when we checked out two days later. Not sure if all of their rooms smell this way, but it was the only unpleasant part of the stay. The parking garage was also a downside. If you’re traveling with a truck, it’s hard to find parking as they don’t reserve the side lot for cars that don’t fit into their underground parking garage. Sometimes smaller vehicles would park there instead of parking in the garage and you’d be stuck waiting for someone to move before you parked for the night.
- Gomez (9/5): Enjoyed our stay in a super comfortable, impeccable, spacious and fantastic location. - Brand new remodeled unit. Impeccable. Excellent furnishing and accessories at the unit. Very comfortable. Great amenities. Great location. Will come back again. Some parking spots were full as some units are being remodeled, the spaces are occupied by the construction.
- Leona (8/5): Very good -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dori (10/5): Exceptional -
- kfh1111 (2/5): CANCELED THE MORNING OF MY RESERVATION WITH NO ALTERNATIVES OR HELP - DO NOT BOOK HERE, THEY ARE LIKELY TO CANCEL ON YOU WITHOUT WARNING AND WITHOUT HELP! According to the manager, I was the 4th booking this WEEK she had to cancel last minute!
My friends and I booked a suite to stay here, but got a call from the front desk at 6:15am the morning of our reservation to say they had overbooked and could not accommodate us. EXCUSE ME?! We booked nine months ahead of time to ensure we got a place with a kitchen and two separate sleeping areas on this specific weekend for an event. I also received a confirmation email one week before we were supposed to arrive. But we got dropped all the same, with ZERO warning and ZERO help.
WorldMark couldn't find us another place to stay because Chelan is super busy (hence why we booked so far in advance!), and couldn't help in any way because they don't even handle their own reservations. The supervisor, Angel Colins, told me I was the FOURTH PERSON THIS WEEK she has had to do this to. That is outrageous.
So I was forced to deal with the 3rd party booking agency used by WorldMark (Express Holiday), who said they would "Look for other accommodations and call back in 30 minutes." TWO HOURS LATER, I called them back and got some BS answer that they were "still looking," meanwhile my husband had found and booked the final hotel room in all of Chelan and Manson. Magically, this hotel room happened to be "the only one in the area in their database" so they were able to switch over our reservation. If there's a specific network of hotels they were supposed to be searching and this was the only one, how did they not find it in two hours? Very fishy.
For all our trouble and our vastly downgraded room - we went from a 2 bed suite with full kitchen in downtown Chelan to a double queen hotel room in Manson - they refunded one night for us. Unbelievable. We should be fully refunded for going through this nightmare, nearly missing our vacation, finding the new hotel room for them, and taking a HUGE downgrade with no bedrooms and no kitchen, forcing us to spend extra money going out to eat.
Whatever you do, do NOT book with WorldMark or anywhere through Express Holiday! There are lots of nice places to stay in Chelan, pick a different one because WorldMark is NOT a guaranteed booking.
- 666glenns (10/5): One of the nicest Worldmarks - If you want a lake view then reserve a three bedroom unit. All one bedroom units face away from the lake. The units are very nice. The pool area is one of the nicest I have seen. There are several rock sculptures that spout water. The landscaping is wonderful. Enjoy both a pool and a hot tub.
- Karen (10/5): - Great property. This has been the first time my family and I have been able to get a fully furnished apartment with a full kitchen. There’s a small fee for internet which most hotels wouldn’t charge. That’s my only comment. Other than that, great location, right next to a supermarket, Starbucks, and Safeway. We’ll be back next year!
- justin (8/5): - It was a nice place to stay.
- jaimeelsabio (8/5): Good location near town and the beach. - The staff was very friendly and the property appeared to be well maintained. The room was very nice and had everything needed for our few days stay. The baseboards and much of the wood in the room and around the complex were in need of refinishing or painting. The main road out front was somewhat loud when sitting on the balcony, but quiet when inside with the door closed. The room had a great view of the lake. When we visited, smoke from a couple fires obscured the mountains for part of the time. One issue was, in a state where marijuana is legal, you have no control over when others smoke it, even if it’s on the balcony next to your room.
- 532dalef (10/5): Great Location by the Lake - This unit is centrally located near the shore of Lake Chelan. It is walking distance to town, shopping and recreation. The staff was friendly and the facility has a nice pool, hot tub, exercise area and barbecues. The units are tastefully northwest. There were no annoying salesman pestering us during our visit. This may have been due to Covid, but their absence was quite refreshing nonetheless. Worth a stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Anniversary Getaway - Condo was very clean, modern and comfortable. It was nice to have a fireplace for the cold evenings. Used the large hot tub. Others used the outdoor fire pit. Walking distance to downtown. Quiet setting.
- nicolidp (10/5): great place very good service - My family and I had a great time!! the lake house is very centrally located and has a lot of great things to do nearby. Put put golf is across the street as is go carts and a beautiful park with a great swimming area for the kids. I was very impressed with the service as everything I asked for was handled very promptly. Also while the pool was small it was never very crowded and we were always able to find a seat around the pool.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Close to parks, stores, and other amenities. Includes pool, hot tub, and game room.
- MaddiesMama13 (10/5): Great stay! - We stayed in a three bedroom 2 bath room and it was amazing and huge! We are not WorldMark members (we got this place through an auction) and the staff has been wonderful and friendly. Will definitely try this place again!
- Ron (10/5): - Very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was convenient to the conference that I was attending. I wish I would have been able to take advantage of the hot tub but my time was limited and the World Series took precedent.
- Tana (8/5): What?!....no free WIFI? - Great accommodations, pool, parking & location, but no free WIFI.
- MrRodgers2011 (8/5): SMALL BUT FULL SIZED ACCOMODATIONS - Very good staff at the front desk and housekeeping folks go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The picture with the green lawn in front of the building is quite misleading. It is from a park area across the street. The resort fronts onto the Manson Highway, which is a 4 lane highway with a surprising amount of traffic.
There is a exercise room, business computer area with printer, pool table, outdoor bar b que and heated outside pool. The rooms are large and well equipped. There is a covered parking area under the building and additional parking outside. Two elevators serve the four floors. The patio areas depicted in the photo are quite large and include a table and chairs. Ours also had a little bat that stayed most of the time in the upper reaches of the roof. Across the street is the boat launch facility and moorage, a putt putt golf course, go cart race track and sand volley ball court. A skateboard area completes the activities offered by the city, all just across the street from the resort. IGA and Safeway are within 2 blocks walking distance.
- Stella V (10/5): Good - It is was Great!
- RetiredTraveler2009 (10/5): Love the location - Have stayed at Lake Chelan Shores. Wonderful. Had my doubts about here. I was wrong to worry. Our three bedroom lake view room is great. Roomy enough for the 4 adults and twin babies. Very comfortable. It is possible to park your car, never use it. and want for nothing. Just steps to IGA, two blocks to Safeway, and restaurants galore within minutes. Of course, plenty of great place to go by car.
- HRParker (8/5): Great location, first floor not so great - The Lake House is in a great location downtown, you can walk to so much. The 3 bedroom was spacious and comfortable. However, we were on the first floor so any view we had was mostly trees and bushes. I can see where the upper floors had wonderful views. I would not go back unless I had an upper floor. Also, the rooms do not have their own BBQ. You have to use the ones at the Pool. Everything else was wonderful. The staff was great.
- bellaa07 (10/5): beautiful property, amazing views - We love everything about this property! We had a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo with a full kitchen, dining room and large balcony overlooking the lake. We were on the third floor and it does get noisy with all the cars driving by under your nose, but it wasn't that big of an issue. The property is spacious, clean, and in a great location. Our condo was fully stocked with pots and pans, glasses, bowls, kitchen utensils - I mean, everything we needed was there, even salt, pepper and spices! It is located next door the Red Apple and a pizza joint; Starbucks and Safeway are down the street, and restaurants and shops and the city center are just a few blocks away.
The property also has a heated pool and a hot tub, as well as a fitness center and a game room. There is also shared room that has a mini (shared) kitchenette with fresh water, fridge, sink, and an outdoor grill. We loved keeping our drinks in the fridge and icecream in the freezer, so we didn't have to go to our room to pick up stuff constantly (as we were a group of 7 and someone always need something) .
Will definitely go back to the property, but only if we can stay on 3rd floor or higher!
- ruths480 (8/5): Convenient location! - Enjoyed our four nights here. However, room not ideal for four adults wanting their own bed. Would be perfect for a family...a bunk bed in one room. Sleeper sofa very poor for sleeping. Otherwise, facility is very nice. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Walked everywhere...great location!
- JacqueM_12 (8/5): Birthday weekend with Bill - We enjoyed the condo and played pool in the evening in the common area. We did some sight seeing and enjoyed a few wineries. I wish we had done a bit more research about the area so we could have enjoyed a trip on the lady of the lake but found out about it to late in our trip. It is definitely something we want to plan on doing in the future. Will definitely return either to the condo or maybe a camping trip to one of the many area camp grounds.
- DanC958 (8/5): Great Location...Get Some Balls! - We've stayed in a lot of world marks and this one was on par with the rest. It had a nice pool workout facilities a pool table and a foosball table and some nice BBQs outside. A lot of the amenities on Chelan are closed early in the spring season but we just wanted to check out a basketball frisbee or football to play at the park across the street. They don't have anything that they check out as far as outdoor recreation and that would be a nice touch and something great to offer families during spring break when there's not as much to do as there is in the summer. We called ahead to ask if there were any outfits that rented boats or jet skis and the staff were not very educated about what was available nearby or even in Manson... a town nearby. We were surprised with such a small community that the front desk staff wouldn't know what's available, open or closed during the season and feel that this is a pretty minimum level of expectation for visitors. Many other world marks have discounts and referrals to local vendors and businesses and this one didn't have any other than some brochures of local restaurants and maybe a personal recommendation. When you're coming from out of town you expect the local staff to know what's going on so they could probably use a little bit more education on that front. Other than that the staff were friendly and accommodating. We will likely come back in the summer and hope to find a basketball or two at the front desk available for checkout.
- globetrottergrub (6/5): only good thing is the location - Both my husband and I are 6ft and over and we rented a 1 bedroom. When you rent a one bedroom for 2 people you assume that you will have at least a queen bed..... not the case. We had a full size bed that we hardly fit into. Not to mention they have 0 insulation between rooms. Huge gap under the front door so anyone moving about sounds like they are inside your room. By 7 am it sounds like a family of 80 is slamming around your flat. Employees are nice enough and helpful but I would most defiantly stay another place due to the size of the beds and the noise level.
- seattlecouple98065 (10/5): Fabulous accommodations in a great location - We found this unit on a vacation rental site at the last minute after we decided we needed a summer getaway to Chelan. Our three bedroom unit was the perfect size for two families. Kids got the bunk beds and adult the other two bedrooms. The condo was very nicely decorated with granite countertops and updated furnishings. The amount of dishes and glassware was impressive. The AC kept the unit at a perfect temperature and we loved getting to walk out onto the balcony to view the lake. Yes, there is a busy street so I would recommend ear plugs or a white noise machine if you're in the master bedroom and sensitive to noise. The other big bedroom faced the hallway and we ended up taping up a sheet over the window to block out some of the light. The pool area was great- we really loved the splash area that they have as well as a very clean pool. We had no problem finding parking for our two cars but we were also there mid-week. The park across the street is a great beach for lake time. We also visited the go-kart place right across the street as well. Love the location as you can walk most anywhere easily. Staff was very friendly as well. Would definitely stay here again.
- SeattleLisaS (6/5): Nice condo, location - Condo was very comfortable, all the necessary amenities, clean, tastefully decorated, well-maintained. Air conditioning didn't work so, unit didn't go below 74-75 all weekend - that was a bummer. At one point it was 77 - not comfortable, and I couldn't wait to step outside because it was a balmy 72. I told the staff, a maintenance guy came but all he did was adjust the AC thermometer to a lower degree level (it was already at 68). Did nothing because the AC DIDN'T WORK. Bed was way too soft and squishy for me, my back did not appreciate the lack of firmness.
- 935LindaS (2/5): Don't believe a word they say-Terrible guest services - We booked a room for Easter weekend, confirmed with them 4X that we had a top floor room secured and low and behold when we arrived the bad news was dropped on us that something had changed since the last time I had called to confirm that everything was a go(two hours previous) We were shown to a hole down in the basement next to parking garage that I wouldn't have stayed in if the room was free-or even if they paid ME. The next problem was getting our money back. The manager assured me he would take care of it right away and of course when I called back I discovered that he had gone home for the weekend without taking care of our issue. Thank goodness late Friday night I got a hold of a supervisor there who jumped in and handled it for us. Of course our Easter plans were totally ruined. This place SUCKS!
- jennifern500 (8/5): Great location near downtown - I love the location of this property! So close to the center of town, near restaurants and shops. Next door to a Red Apple market, pizzeria and the bowling alley! Just down the street from Safeway and Starbucks. It has a heated pool for kid fun even in winter. Beautiful views of the lake and it was so pretty with the snow on the hills surrounding it! The room itself (3 Bedroom) was very spacious and comfortable but definitely showed signs of wear and tear. The furniture is pretty worn in the living area and the carpet as well (which they are in the process of replacing). The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms very nice. The kitchen was fine just not very well stocked for cooking. Plenty of dishes, some pots and pans and pyrex but no broiler pan and the BBQ is across the alley by the pool. A word of caution, this building is across the street from the lake and there is quite a bit of road noise from the busy street in front of the building. I would definitely recommend it for location, comfort and convenience.
- 475dianneg (10/5): Great condo units within walking distance to downtown and a grocery store next door - My husband and I spent the weekend here to do some wine tasting. We stayed here at part of our timeshare with Wyndham. These units are a nice size and most have a view of the water. The deck is large and covered with a large table although it was too cold when we went to spend time out there. There is a grocery store directly next store and you can walk into town (about 10 minutes) to get an after dinner drink or do some shopping. We've already booked time again here next April.
