- Erin (9/5): Relaxing, pleasurable, surrounded by options that lent ease + comfort. My new W Des Moines spot. - The breakfast was one of the best I've had- an array of delicious, healthy options. Staff were friendly and the facility was entirely clean. A bit of a mix up with my room at check-in, the staff handled it professionally and efficiently.

We paid before we came through booking.com and ended up being billed twice for the same amount. We have protested through our credit card and it looks like you will be paid but booking will not. I was told my invoice would be mailed to me but after calling you and now after speaking to 3 people you still have not received the invoice. Woman at front desk seemed more interested in her phone than in helping me. It seemed to be a personal phone call as she eventually said she would call back.

- rivera (10/5): - We love the professionalism of the staff, environment, room and breakfast quality. I have not stayed at any other hotel since staying at a Homewood Suites. We stayed at Homewood suites for the weekend to attend the "Bands of America" regional tournament at the Northwest Waukee High school. I wanted to stay closer as Homewood Suites was 20 minutes away however I knew trying somewhere else would not be worth the quality that Homewood Suites provides! N/A

- Nathan (9/5): - I liked the quality of the hotel. It was clean and inviting. I did not like the fact that my tv remotes did not work properly. The pots and pans in my suite were not suitable. I purchased my own skillet from the Walmart across the street.
- robertlB832HQ (4/5): Very Disappointing Lodging Experience - This was a very disappointing lodging experience. First, I discovered that my toilet would not flush but the sound of water could be heard continuously. This was at about 8 p.m. on my last night. I called the front desk, and that person said she would call her supervisor to assist in resolving this. I later received a call back from the front desk. The lady advised their maintenance person was unreachable and the hotel was full so there was nothing they could do about the plumbing issue. This did not make for a very quiet or restful night of sleep. Additionally, the manager's reception was pathetic. It was supposed to run from 5:30 pm to 7 pm, but did not begin until after 6 pm. The wait was not worth it. The food offered was minimal and very low quality. The draft beer tasted old and flat. Lastly, the ice machine on my floor did not work and the digital key worked intermittently on the outside doors of the hotel. As a Diamond Member who stays in a lot of Hilton brand hotels, this Homewood Suites definitely fell short of the normal high quality and standards of Hilton. With all of these issues, no staff member attempted to make things right.

- Mana Abusaq (1/5): - The location. I didn't like it at all. A rainy storm was hitting and the rain got inside the room even though the window in the 4th floor is completely blocked and can't be open. The restroom looks old and the shower pressure is very very weak. The sofa bed is absolutely another story of the suffering, very very uncomfortable. There is a dining table but there are no chairs. The elevator is so shakey and looks old with some electrical parts out of their place..

The only problem we had was when calling to ask for towels I was questioned if I had requested them the night before. I didn't realize my daughter and her friends had but with 5 of us staying and have teens showering we needed towels for showering. I did get them brought to us still but was just annoyed being questioned about it

The staff semmed to be lacking, I felt bad for the two people I did see trying to keep up with all the customer service. Pool area was clean, exercise facility was nice. Bed super comfy and it was nice to have a separate room from the living space. There were cosmetic flaws we noticed in the bathroom and kitchen but nothing major. The dirty pullout bed and trying to call someone to get it cleaned was probably the only frustrating part of the trip so that was good.

Our room the bed rm tv remote wouldn’t work. The kitchen table legs were very loose. 1 blanket for hide a bed. The maintenance guy came to fix tv said he would be back and never came back when we called again the front desk said he went home early. Breakfast was very cold and I ate at 7:15am

- Nicholas (6/5): - The room was overall pretty clean. The suite part had a dirty coffee cup and the couch had crumbs all over it. The pool was dirty. There was hair floating around and it had an oily sheen to it. The hot tub didn't work. I told the front desk and they said it was reset and warming up but it didnt seem to be. Breakfast was a very small area and if you want a waffle, be prepared to wait for 10 minutes to get it as there was 1 waffle maker. Eggs did not taste real and all of the food on warmers was cold.

- Jorgo (4/5): Homewood Suits - The pool and hot tub were not in service during our stay, which was a main draw for the hotel. It would have been helpful to know that when booking. We were told by the front desk host that the hot tub was still open, but when we tried to use it, it was also broken. That’s a detail the front desk should know. We were told that we can use the neighboring hotel’s pool, but he told us their pool was open until midnight, and when we walked to the other hotel a little after 10 they told us that their pool had already closed at 10, which also is a simple detail that the front desk should have known.

The room looked a bit tired and smelled dusty. I stayed for four nights. My linens and towels got refreshed once and the kitchen was not tended to at all.

- JayW57 (10/5): Nice location clean property - Very clean property. The GM (Ramona) is a working persons manager who is very helpful and friendly. There is a nice fire pit and the location is convenient with many stores and restaurants nearby. The area seems to be very safe. There is a Walmart across the street too.
- Krista (4/5): - The kitchen sink did not drain, the disposal did not work. Spoke to the office person at 6am and he wrote out room number down said maintenance would be in at 8am and we were 1st on his list. Got back to the room around 10am and nobody had been to our room. Called and complained and the front desks response was, so now you don’t want someone to come look at your sink? Maintenance guy came as we were headed out and said we were not on his list. Said sometimes when you call down they say they are writing your number but don’t actually do it. When I told him I watched him write our room number down he didn’t have much to say. 5 floors, ice machin on every floor and the only one that worked was on the 1st floor. Exit signs hangin by wires out of the ceiling or sitting on the floor. The only positive thing about this stay was they had a good breakfast with a lot of variety. We won’t be back.

- Tiffany (4/5): - I called the property twice ahead of our visit to ensure my rooms would be next to each other given we had kids split up in rooms. As of Thursday, I was told two rooms were held for me & noted in the system that were only one apart from each other. When I checked in on Friday, I was given rooms on opposite sides of a floor. When I asked about the rooms the other receptionist had reserved for me, he said one of the rooms had been occupied for two weeks. He didn’t offer a solution or seem interested in helping me, even though I had an explained the situation and asked for help. He finally walked away & starting typing on the computer. I said if I needed to pay for different rooms I would. He said that’s not the issue. He did find me rooms that were about 5 apart & said there was nothing else he could do. This was after I had already paid, too. The suite had a wet pile of what looked like baby puke/dog puke in the middle of the living room. The spa was broken - they could have told us that prior as we would have made reservations at another hotel. The lamp did not have a lightbulb. To top it off, there was a domestic abuse & the police a few doors down from where the kids were staying. The police showed up, knocked on the kids’ room door. This scared them; they were bawling. Had I been in the room next door, I could have heard/helped. Not acceptable. I am not pleased or impressed. This did not live up to the Hilton standards. We will not stay here again.
- Jenny (6/5): Pleasant - The breakfast was good and the hotel was clean. Staff was okay. When we checked in all was fine. When we got to the room it was what we paid for. We went to call the front desk but the phone didn’t work. Back to the front desk but the hotel was oversold. They didn’t bother to tell us upon check in or offer a solution. We had to call maintenance to fix the shower door as it wasn’t adjusted properly. Over room was not what we wanted or paid for and never got a resultion yet. Still working with booking.com. Overall the staff was friendly but hoping we didn’t notice then charging us seems wrong.

The breakfast was robust and the common areas very comfortable for gathering outside of the room. Parking was also well lit and convenient.

We were also not told that upon arrival so we’re surprised when we got to our room that it was only the one room. We were traveling with our baby and hoped to put her in her own area to sleep. We paid more for this on hotels.com and then the hotel could not accommodate.

Definitely would go back to this motel!!!

Ended up sleeping in my car because she was supposed to call when she figured it out. She never called. Still didn't call and I was too exhausted to drive anywhere else. Unacceptable.

- bobu171 (6/5): Ok hotel. - Overall hotel was good. We were missing one of the sliding shower doors in our room. How do you rent a room out you know has issues? Breakfast was good. Pool needed some attention. Bottom looked like it had baked on algae. Hot in was not in working order.

Needless to say we ended up with a small pond after cleaning up 2 children. The pool seems like it has a little algae build up on the bottom and the hot tub says out of commission.

- Jenifermae (2/5): Bad experience - I was asked to choose my room online, when I arrived at check-in time I was given a different room than what I had chosen online and because we were trying to catch a shuttle to a wedding. We did not have time to go back to the front desk stand in line again to get a different room we got ready barely made the shuttle and when we got home realized there was only one of the shower doors on the shower. The other one was broken off and when you ran the shower, it flooded the bathroom when I went to check out the next morning I mentioned this to the person who is checking me out and she readily admitted they knew this and asked if I wanted a $10 discount on the room. I was very upset that they knew about this and I also asked why I didn’t get the room I chose and she said it was no longer available.The choices at breakfast were minimal many complaints, and nobody was restocking the empty items and it was an hour from the time breakfast was going to be over. The staff was extremely rude. I would not stay here again.
- Ajbrecky (2/5): You couldn't pay me to stay here again! - Walked into our room and the tv was hanging off the wall. The cover for the ac unit was broken, laying on the floor. The filter was broken and hanging out of the unit. We put the tv back on the wall but we only got 12 channels. We complained to the front desk and they said they would fix the issues. Nobody ever showed up to fix them! We then discovered that the shower only had 1 glass door, not the 2 that are supposed to be there. We again complained to the front desk and the response we got was "yeah the ppl before you broke it and we can legally rent the room like that." There was no offer of a different room or any sort of compensation for this. We paid $250 for the night in this room. When I wiped up the water that got all over the floor from only having 1 shower door, the towel was brown and gross. Also spilled water in the kitchen and the same stuff was on that towel, so clearly the room was not cleaned or serviced before renting out! When we went to use the hot tub, only half the jets were working and not working well. I am not sure how they can call what they served a breakfast. Your options are half of what you would get anywhere else, some of it didn't look consumable! I have stayed in alot of hotels all over this country and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had! Nothing about this hotel meets Hilton standards!!!
- Companion05314500749 (2/5): My only complaint on our 15 days roadtrip - By far the worst experiece on our 15 days roadtrip! We arrived at 2.30 pm and asked politely if we could get already our room (check in time 3 pm). There was a young lady in reception who told us that our room is still dirty and requested us to come later because check in begins 30 minutes later. We went to have some food and came back at 4 pm. Then there was a very arrogant man in reception, who gave us first a wrong room. After my complaint we got the room I had chosen and checked in before. Next episode was in our room - TV didn't work, toilet didn't flush (I repaired it myself). And then next morning episode three on breakfast - no regular coffee and no milk available!! I have travelled over 50 times in the USA and Hilton-chain has been my favourite accommodation because of their good price/quality. Fortunately this place was the only bad hotel-experience on this holiday.
- MemphisSole (2/5): Won’t be back anytime soon - Really unpleasant experience. Wi-Fi didn’t work in sleeping room or even lobby. The front desk people were aware of the problem. We asked to have our room made up when we left for the day at 9AM. When we returned at 4PM us was not made up. We were advised housekeeping left for the day. The breakfast buffet was unsatisfactory. Cold eggs and all coffee dispensers served barely warm coffee.
- Angie (10/5): Baseball Weekend stay - I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. It was fabulous. Upon checking in, Eric, who was behind the front desk told me that there was a small issue in booking. I had been at a baseball tournament in the hot sun and rain all day, but he surprised me with an amazing upgrade. I think it had been over booked through a site and we were able to be upgraded to two king suite rooms that adjoined at no extra charge. Made my day as well as the rest of my family. Also was great to provide grilling supplies for the beautiful patio. Just a wonderful overall experience! So wonderful that I booked this same chain in a different location for this upcoming weekend! - Curlz58 (8/5): Better Than We Expected - Overall it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel is in a nice commercial area with lots of food options nearby. Room was very nice, with a terrific little mini kitchen, cooktop included. The hallways smelled clean. The carpeting is an unfortunate choice as it looks like the Corona Virus probably installed pre-pandemic. The dining area was very spacious so you didn’t feel crowded. Dog friendly with bags provided; yet not a lot of green area to walk your dog; spouse went into the neighborhood nearby. Exterior very well maintained. Nice pool if a bit warm. Breakfast was fine. I heard some complainers but there was a bit of everything available even at the end of the breakfast window on a Sunday.

I was here for business for six months. This place came to be home and it was quite the experience living in a hotel for such a long period.
