- AreyOnna (5/5): You get what you paid for, only stayed for 1 night so no complaints - Staff was very nice Room smelled of cigarettes
- Kassandra (8/5): -
- Russell (2/5): - It didnt leak The whole building needed an update
- Demarius (7/5): If you’re short on cash & need a quick place to lay your head I would recommend this motel. - It was quiet & comfortable The room was kind of small, but since it was only me staying I didn’t mind
- Holly (8/5): I would stay here again. - The room was clean and comfortable. A major point for me is water pressure in the shower and this place had very good water pressure. Staff was friendly and accommodating. It would be nice if there was an ice machine available.
- Elizabeth (1/5): Do not stay here - Nothing The shower was disgusting! There was actually hair in the shower drain and rusty discoloration. 3 out of 4 members in my party were too disgusted to use the shower and the fourth person had a different room. The bedspread was stained and dirty.
- Malayna (8/5): This is a great place to stay if you’re looking for a decent room to rest in! - The staff member I met was super nice, the beds were comfortable, and check-in & check-out were easy. Microwave worked great. I didn’t use the TV, but it looked new. Bathroom had more towels & rags than we needed. The curtain covered the entire window when closed so we didn’t have to worry about privacy. There were also plenty of places to sit besides the two beds (a desk with a rolling chair & a small dining table with two dining chairs). One of the beds’ covers had stains near the end. The carpet on the floor was clean but hard & uncomfortable to walk on. The bathroom was a little small, mostly the counter space was lacking. There was a bar of soap by the sink but the liquid soap dispenser on the wall was empty. The trash can was a little too small for us since we had leftover food to toss.
- Amanda (10/5): Absolutely love this place - I absolutely love it there I loved it there
- Morgan (10/5): -
- Michael (3/5): - Needed thoroughly cleaned. Smelled like wet dog. Carpet was really stained. Toilet was loose. Tiles grout was dirty in shower. The AC filter was plugged/dirty so smelled when trying to use. Someone used bathroom and didn't flush before I arrived. Bulbs burned out so room was not as bright as it could have been.
- Phillip (6/5): It's a place to lay your head. Not much more - Pretty much nothing Everythimg

- John (7/5): It was a decent site, saving me from having to drive back & forth for 2 days, from almost 2 hrs away - Staff was amazing, the room was adequate for what I needed, and accommodated me, in my flexible time, just a little extra time I needed before checking out, which was a huge help. This is me just being honest: I did not sleep that great, the pillows were very flat and uncomfortable, definitely not as nice as the ones you get at the larger chains (I almost want to bring my own next time if I was to stay here again), but nervous about doing that for numerous reasons, taking pillows back home (not that I saw anything), but I would feel this way at ANY hotel I stayed at. Bed was ok, I have slept in more comfortable ones though (yet I type do not worry about that to much). A few things I had to tolerate and just deal with: 1) the building (1 of 3 choices) was fine, and each building has about 10 units I believe, no issues with the room I was given; I am pretty simple, but just wanted to point our a few things for others. I always liked rooms that have exterior access directly to car, and this site was just that. 2) The units are definitely not ADA accessible. An initial step up to get in the door, the shower remind me of an European shower (3x3), no tub fyi. What I thought was the issue is they gave someone a room right next to mine, not sure if any of the the other rooms might have been open; I woke up to a barking dog, and a neighbor yelling at it most of the morning. I am not blaming anyone, just would have been nice if, like with men's bathroom urinals, we all know there is a unwritten rule to which one we use if someone is already present lol. (stagger us apart, which would be my only future suggestion). The rooms are pretty small, and simple, enough to accommodate 2 ppl max. Think of it as a kids room in your house, and a small 1/2 bath with shower. 3) One more thing: my phone connected to their free wifi no problem, but my computer could not, for some reason.
For what I got, and what I spent I would probably expect it to be about $20-30 less, but it was likely due to booking last minute, and that is on me.

- Steven (7/5): A fine stop for the night during a long journey - The lobby and staff were inviting. The room was attractive. Price was fair relative to what we got and the booking process was simple. The room seemed a little worn (steam iron burn on the carpet, not enough electrical outlets for 2025 America). The bed was quite hard, but that's subjective. I'm sure someone else would have been very happy about that.

- PR BOYD (6/5): Country place a bit of a drive. - newly remodeled room in older strip row motel. Manager met me at the window after leaving his apartment. the reception room is small and odd. shower drained slowly
- Shawn McNally (8/5): - Close to the city.
Clean room
Friendly staff Heater was loud
- Schuette (10/5): -
- Autumn Black (4/5): - Bed was comfy We used to stay allot....dont know if it changed hands but no soap or shampoo minimal towels....used to be really nice and clean....now not so much. Disappointed . Won't stay again
- Barbara (5/5): It was about what was advertised Okay for a quick over night stop when traveling. - The man that checked us in was very nice and friendly. He gave great directions for our trip to Frankenmuth. Highway noise and looks run down. Carpet was in need of cleaning.
- stephen (8/5): - Laundry service
- Timothy (6/5): -
- Caitlin (3/5): - Really hot water, and good shower pressure. Nice, quiet location. Friendly front office guy, Kelly. No bedbugs, no roaches. Where to start. The room smelled super musty and dank. The floor had not been vacuumed in who knows how long - there were cobwebs in almost every corner - some of which still had "residents", and dog food by the desk, where obviously the vaccuum (whenever it was last used) couldn't reach it, so they just left it there.
The shower grout had black fuzzy mold all throughout, as well as someone's *ahem* remnants, if you catch my drift. The shower curtain had mold all along the bottom of it and had obviously not been washed in a VERY long time. I showered in my flip flops. There were two USED washcloths hung over the shower curtain rod that had been left to dry. I'm assuming they were left from the last customers. The mirrors did not to have been cleaned at all.
The bed was okay, comfort wise. It was advertised as a queen, but it was a double. We have a queen at home, so we know the difference.
The AC has all the power buttons punched out and has to use a remote. Which is fine, only there are NO instructions or indications that this is how it works. We fiddled with it forever before I finally called front desk to tell them we couldn't get it to work, and he directed us to the "white remote". Why they don't leave the remote on the ac unit or leave instructions, who knows.
We paid just shy of $100 for a night in what felt like a "one hour motel". The fact that it didnt have bed bugs or roaches is honestly staggering. We will never stay here again, and I'll be sure to inform anyone who asks to steer clear of the Relax Inn. :-(
- Dawn (8/5): - Nice place to stay.
- Jenelle (10/5): - The drain in the shower didn’t drain right in room 20 and we didn’t have back up toilet paper and ran out of towels also when u ran the ac it made the room dry! And this was our second time staying here!
- Susanne (10/5): - Clean enough room. Small, as expected. Frig and microwave good. Close to Shiawassee.
- Russel (6/5): - The property is a value motel. For the price, it was about as expected in terms of cleanliness and what is offered (room size and amenities etc.). It worked OK for me on my brief tour of Michigan stay in 2025.
- Laurie (4/5): Okay if you can't find anywhere else to stay - Looks like mom and pop place, but I heard the check-in person say they didn't have any rooms for a person who was on the phone with them. That person asked what a local room was and they said it rents by the hour. For the most part if it was a true mom and pop place, it was okay the furniture had been upgraded it was a small bathroom but I can deal with that everything was good until I saw two bed bugs this morning one on my sweatshirt and one in the bed. I had bed bug killer I killed both of them. I left earlier than the office was open so I could not report the bugs. But there was one visible on the sheets I left for a present.
- Samantha (5/5): - Comfortable bed The shower was dirty with old bar soap all over the ledge. The fridge was never cleaned
- Beatriz Prado (7/5): - El precio. Y la habitación es amplia y cómoda . El dueño, muy amable y simpático. Estaba bastante apartado de todo. El aspecto por fuera está viejo, parece abandonado.
- Nickole (8/5): - Its was a really cute studio apartment type set up. But the lights between the beds didn't work. It was clean. No bugs. Quiet. The guy that works there is polite. It was a neat lil place. The microwave was wonky and touchy. The toilet didn't flush right. The fridge was super tiny and one tiny trash can for a 2 person 4 day stay?! Yeah that needs to be improved upon but overall, we enjoyed it
- Mark (6/5): - Not a bad place to stay for a night. Mom and Pop place compared to the big hotels. Room was very very small AC unit in the window did not have any controls buttons are all taken off Wi-Fi very intermittent. With my dog fee the room cost $90 for the night. Definitely not worth $90.
- Kelsey (8/5): - Staff was very friendly, room was comfortable but we couldn’t seem to get the door locked. Not sure if it was just us or if the lock was broken. Bedding was clean and the price was affordable. would stay here again if in the area.
- Hanna (7/5): -
- Charles (10/5): - This is a quiet, clean Mom and Pop motel.
- Karen (4/5): Well, we didn’t die. - Parking - Was able to park right outside of unit. Beds were very old and uncomfortable. Musty AC that needed a filter change, which kicked allergies into overdrive. Bathroom was less than inviting. Dark brown “grout” in shower made it appear dirty/dingy. Multiple spiders in bathroom.
- Henderson (1/5): Will never use Relax Inn again! - The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioner worked great! For starters, the cockroach on the wall, the cockroach behind the door beside the TV stand hadn’t been cleaned in forever. The toilet bowl was gross and disgusting. The shower had hair in the bottom of a wet shower. It was non refundable or we would have left instead of staying. We went to Dollar General and bought Raid and sprayed it left came back to air out.
- Michelle (4/5): - Updated looking. Grounds nice. Had to clean the bathroom; makes you wonder how clean the rest is.
If is wasnt for being so tired, late and other family here i would have went some where else.
- steven (8/5): - Very rural, good part of Saginaw
- Lillian (10/5): - This was a great place and an awesome place off the beaten path reminds me of the family vacation we took across the country and stayed at all these awesome mom and pop places back in the day.
- Shawn (8/5): - Relax Inn was a small, quiet, squeaky-clean, newly-remodeled inexpensive mom-and-pop jewel in Buena Vista, MI, which sports almost no jewels of any kind. But over the years the standards have fallen. Fridge needed to be cleaned better, candle wax (?) on the carpet, toilet's loose, sink faucet's loose. All of these issues could be fixed in a single morning w/o great effort or expense. But they haven't been.
- Gerald (7/5): -
- Crasnow (6/5): -
- Mary (6/5): - Good accommodation for a "no frills" motel. Clean and simple. The staff is very friendly. I'll stay there again next time I'm in the area.
- Carl (2/5): This place sucks... Literally!! - Whoever rated this place 8.6 OBVIOUSLY never stayed there!! BTW... They rent rooms by the hour! Can you say prostitution???
- Mchelled424 (10/5): - Clean and comfy. Very satisfied. No complaints.
- Verified traveler (6/5): A place to crash, but nothing more. - A little run down, but beds were clean. Carpet, not so much. The bathroom was functional, but very small and not especially clean. Essentially just an outdated room with overused towels.
- Verified traveler (8/5): The price is right - Average, decently clean room. On the small side but perfect for our single night stay. Very helpful and friendly staff. Price was right.
- Dawn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (8/5): - Quiet location in the country surrounded by farmland. Nice country road to walk on. Friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Not worth the money.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good value - We have stayed at this motel a few times now and it is always as expected. No frills, but clean, comfortable and safe. We feel it is a good value for what we are looking for.
- Joyce (8/5): Very good -
- PhaniBhushan (6/5): - The manager was helpful. The rooms is good for a night sleep, but the rooms are very small and so is the bathroom. The first room I got was smelling cigarettes smoke. Wouldn't stay again. Got what I paid for.
- Dhamani (6/5): It was rough for me personally and my family - The staff was nice The room smelled like smoke and mildew . I have asthma and it flared it up pretty bad that I had trouble staying 2 nights. I ended up staying 1 night and checking out the next morning. I could not get a refund on the 2nd night.
- Nelda (6/5): - Definitely not a 8.8 as advertised. Maybe re like a 6. Nice people. Shower wouldn’t drain. Refrigerator full of water. Dogs are $20 per dog per night
- Dawn (6/5): reasonable - You get what you pay for it. The room was fine but could have used a deep clean (it was not at all dirty). The doors and walls need to be wiped and the carpet needed a better vacuum. The bed was comfortable. It is an old property but I don't need much.
- Halley (8/5): - It's a fine place
- Melanie (10/5): Nice little place to stay - Nice place. Clean and well taken care of. The man whonchecked us in we very helpful with telling us local attractions and good restaurants and how to get to them.
- PAMELA (4/5): - We have stayed here before but this time the carpet was stained and dirty. The bedspreads also had stains. There was a big pile of garbage sitting outside one of the rooms and part of the roof was flapping in the wind. I think this was our last time staying here.
- Lenore (10/5): Clean and comfortable and straight shot to Dow Event Center. Long live Alice Cooper! - Owner/check in was fast and friendly. He took time to give me directions. Nice guy. The lighting could have been better for makeup application but I'm pretty cute as is,none needed:-)
- William (10/5): Excellent place to stay - The property was quiet and clean. The staff here is outstanding. Going so far as to help my girlfriend when I was at work and she had car issue. It's surprising how comfortable and nice the rooms was. We will definitely be back. Exchange being close to town with being quiet and secluded.
- Christine (2/5): - Didnt like any of it
- KELLY (6/5): - The rooms are in need of repair. The carpet was very dirty. The bathroom smelled of urine.
- Duane (8/5): - Quiet and comfortable
- Verified traveler (10/5): Game on loud ass Lisa. - Im pretty sure the neighbor was a lady of the night or "working girl" if you will. I couldnt sleep due to loud moaning all night. It was annoying until Harold ajd i decided to one up her and i really let loose. Talk about amazing sleep. Rocked me right to sleep. I wanna go back tongiht. The butlers nice but i wish they had breakfast or snack. The butler was the only snack within 5 miles as this is in bfe. Go now. You won't be disappointed
- Matthew (10/5): - Nice quiet place
- Kelly (8/5): Excited - The butler is very eager to please. He was so helpful.
- Borivoje (10/5): - Very clean facility, well maintained
- Jeffery (6/5): It was OK - The heating unit didn’t seem to be working as well as it should have in my room
- Rachel (8/5): - Clean and quaint. Perfect place to stay while working outside of Saginaw
- Jenelle (10/5): - I liked how it was away from city life and in the country! The room was very clean and very good pricing with friendly service! And pretty close to Frankenmuth
- Tina (4/5): - The room was dirty. We found socks on the floor by the bed. The fridge and microwave were dirty. The shower curtain was gross and you couldn't take a proper shower anyway, due to the water not draining properly.
- Lillis (8/5): Convenient - Close to where we were hunting The water wasn’t getting hot during times when we wanted to shower. Some showers were hot though
- Deborah (9/5): Clean nice people - Good location Rooms a little small
- Jessica (4/5): - The management was nice. We got a little spooked at check-in (after dark) since the property is in the country, when Michigan state police showed up shining their flashlight on us as we were unloading the car and asked if it was our car with the trunk open then they took off with their spotlight on their vehicle. The beds were clean but hard and we didn't sleep well. We had to take cold showers because a pipe busted and we had no hot water in our room. The shower was not so great anyway and the bathroom door wouldn't stay closed. The manager did offer to let us have access to a different room across the lot to shower but we passed. We were only there one night and just wanted to get ready and get out of there. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
- James (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good enough - Had to wait 40 minutes for someone to open ‘office’ just to check in. Room was ok, floor was a bit stained and looked dirty. Bathroom fan was very loud. Heat worked well and bed was comfy. Good location, close to Frankenmuth and Saginaw. Good price as well.
- Dawn (4/5): Never again - The gentleman that checked us in was very nice. When I was woke up Sunday morning by a bug crawling on me
- Rose (6/5): It was convenient for one night stay - Close to Frankenmuth Room smell
Like smoke
It was chilly in room
Refrigerator looked dirty
- Mindy (8/5): Perfect for our needs. - Very nice staff. Clean and very quiet. Would definitely recommend.
- Rose (7/5): Good -
- Michele (8/5): It wasn't too far from our our family's home. - It was clean and the owner was friendly. The location had video security. The shower was small and dark and the beds didn't have blankets.
- Sgrace2 (7/5): Good -
- kristin (8/5): - We mostly were happy with the quaint little country vibe motel. The only downside was our bathroom door would not completely close (put a towel against the inside of the door to hold closed) and the water didnt get very hot. Otherwise, it worked well for us and was decently updated and clean. Good deal for the price, especially with the proximity to Frankenmuth and Birch Run
- Jill (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (4/5): - 8.3 Rating is completely wrong! This is a roadside motel, left over from the 1950s. To be fair, the room has been modernized and was very comfortable. BUT, it is still an outdated motel. It appears to be a one-man operation. Bathroom was dirty and hair in the drain. Noise from the next room was extremely loud, kids yelling and playing music. They finally quit.
