Rosalie (6/5): - There was a nice coffee pot but no coffee. The cups had bugs in them. The.bathroom has long black hairs all over the sink and the bathroom floor. The bedspread had bloodstains on it. There was no one around to check out so we left the room unlocked and the key in the room.
Sheila (10/5): Quiet and nearby - Older motel well maintained just down from the beach. Very sweet owners uograded our room when they found out it was our anniversary. No vending machine on site but the owner brought us out ice and some cans of coke. It was very much appreciated after walking the boardwalk all day. Id definitely stay here again.

Marlene (8/5): 4 night stay for Hampton Beach Seafood Festival - This motel was quiet, clean and convenient. They are clearly lacking staff, as there was no daily service, and we had to manage our own trash. However, Suzie was gracious and kind and does her best to manage things solo (there may be one other who helps her out, but we never saw anyone other than Suzie). I would stay here again

But this situation was out of my hands and nothing I can do about it, and now I’m short $218 along with the other bs I’m Currently dealing with, after this situation I wouldn’t stay here if someone paid me too

Angela (6/5): Updates and help needed... - The motel has a decent location and the room was clean upon arrival. However, they are understaffed to the point where we were told to get our own towels and tp and take out our own trash and the room was not touched in 5 days. The beds are also super uncomfortable. I understand COVID has hit everyone hard and I am not trying to bash a small business but there is a certain basic standard that should be maintained. The owner says they are renovating this year. Hopefully, that's true.

Very friendly staff and always ready to help even though they didn’t have the larger staff they are used to. The room was very clean and beds are comfortable. Such a convenient location to Hampton Beach and all of the strip by the water.

The owner and other staff were very friendly and accommodating! There was a issue with the shower and the owner made a point to immediately let us know the issue as soon as we arrived! Brenda (8/5): Vacation during Covid - We had a nice stay at the Sun & Surf Motel during our recent vacation at Hampton Beach. I would recommend with some advance guidelines. Due to Covid they do not clean rooms during your stay. You need to let them know if you need towels, sheets or other supplies. It’s a minor inconvenience and was not a problem for us. There is a coffee pot in the room but you need to bring your own coffee & filters. They keep the pool clean & the area around pool as well. It’s a short walk to the beach nearby. Overall decent room for the price.

If I walked barefoot in my room the bottom of my feet would get this black/dirty color to them. The air conditioner smelled like it was stuffed with old, moldy gym socks, so I barely could use it.

There is nothing like coming back from a long, hot day at the beach and being able to relax at the pool. If you want a no frills place that is clean and comfortable, you will be happy here.

Mark (8/5): It’s a truly budget motel - The motel is located at the end of the Main Street which meant a little walk to the beach. This was great as we were wanting to get our steps in. It doesn’t have a view of the beach but I didn’t expect it based on how little we paid. It is on the main road which meant that from time to time loud motorcycles came by but this couldn’t be avoided even with more expensive hotels with a view on the main road. The person who checked us in was welcoming and warm. The room had thin walls so you could hear the neighbours. It needs a serious updating but everything seems to be functioning. The sheets were old but clean. Some of the hand towels were stained and frayed but the bath towels looked fairly new. The kitchen and microwave were handy. The AC was functioning well. Some of the surfaces were sticky from previous guests’ drinks which made me question the cleanliness of the room in general. All in all, you get what you paid for. If you don’t mind staying in a budget motel, then this is for you.

Verified traveler (10/5): Great view, pay for what you get - Went for Columbus Day weekend! Great view literally walking distance from the ocean, got a great deal being off season. Foreign owners but very nice. The hotel is a lot older so in essence you pay for what you get. The water was a pain to make warm. We had to turn on the sink to make the shower warm. But overall it wasn’t an awful experience. Parking was a little tight. I’m sure during regular season it’s busier.

Ryalet1024 (10/5): - The property is cheaper compared to hotels around the area. The room has microwave, tv & refridgirator, but no hair dryer.The bathroom is clean, but a bit small. Free parking for your car. Bring your own shampoo & conditioner because only soap was provided. There's also a small pool for kids. Its around the beach, but if you"re. packing lots of things, it's better to park close to the beach for $5 or $10 all day fee for your convenience. The owner was nice. The motel is quieter compared to most hotels near the beach. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a place to stay near Hampton Beach area.
R (6/5): - This was my 2nd time staying here. The location is nice, easy to get to the beach or the main strip in Hampton Beach. I was in a different room this year and the bed was a marshmallow , the opposite of the bed I had last year. It looked like a new mattress but I had a difficult time sleeping on it. The room itself was clean, the tub had no soap scum. I would stay here again. The staff is friendly tho invisible for the most part. This is a good place for a decent price.

Convenient to the beach and strip, but far enough away to be able to enjoy down time without the noise/crowds of the strip. The price was very reasonable compared to other hotels/motels in the area. If you’re looking for a quiet place to stay you may want to go further from the Hampton beach area as we could hear cars zooming up and down the street all night. The beds are comfortable, a/c worked well and the pool was nice but the coffee maker was blocked and the room could have been cleaner. We had a few dead mosquitos lying around.

NOMO (6/5): Relatively inexpensive basic motel for this area - Compared to other motels in this area, relatively inexpensive clean place to stay. Be aware, it's very basic. Room was clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable enough and AC worked OK. Linens and towels are really basic. There is a fridge and microwave, but not much else. No hairdryer, shampoo, alarm clock, phone or coffee provided although there was a coffee pot. Outdoor pool is a plus. Again, as long as you're not expecting a lot of frills, it's an ok place to stay. If you don't mind paying more, stay elsewhere.
Stacy (8/5): Better than expected! - This was better than I expected, considering that I booked a busy area two days before we wanted to go, a very last-minute thing and this was the ONLY place with availability. The room was very clean and reasonably comfortable, it was a quiet place and we enjoyed our stay.
Barb (8/5): - The owner was very accommodating, walking distance, to Hampton beach, close to other family members, that stayed at another motel, the gas grill worked out great along with the refrigerator, A/C and microwave, coffee maker all appliances were great, the pool gave us some time to relax the picnic table served its purpose, chairs outside our room se we could have some quiet time while the 2 kids were sleeping got to enjoy the sound of the sea. It was easy to find on the main drag, no headache free parking, used my wagon to walk to the beach. I rate this motel 4.5 stars, the price was great.

It is not an updated fancy place but for the price it was just what we were looking for and that was an inexpensive weekend at the beach and a place to crash after a day at the beach. Beds were hard but it was clean. Bring shampoo and a hair dryer as they are not provided.

Christopher (6/5): Close to beach, but also close to road. - I stayed there off-season. The room was clean, the place is old, but not a shambles. Given the fact that it is about 500 feet from the beach, it was inexpensive. Unfortunately, it was very close to the road and it was one of the warmest late spring evenings this year, so there was quite a bit of traffic (and loud bikes).

The location was better than expected in relation to the beach -literally like a 3 minute walk and we were happy it was out of the main touristy area so it was much more relaxed and quiet! Kids loved the pool! We will definitely stay there again next year!

Theirs no breakfast there but their is a pool and theirs a restaurant across the street but they don't serve breakfast .
Verified traveler (2/5): Mattress horror! - Room looked old but was clean and neat. Major problem was way mattress strongly smelled of urine. I slept upside down on top of the blankets.....YUCK!!!!! A positive nite, manage/owner was nice.
RV (8/5): A decent place - I enjoyed my 3 days at Sun and Surf. The room was clean with the air conditioner already running. Plenty of towels. The sheets were a tad worm but clean. Bed was pretty comfy. The location is great as a seafood place is across the street and there is a beach right next door. The staff was friendly . I booked at the last minute and felt the price was OK. The only downside is that the motel is literally right on Rt 1A and there is plenty of traffic that cruises up and down the road until midnight during the week. I was not here for the weekend as I left on Saturday morning. Modest cable TV, microwave and a small fridge. I would stay here again.
