Guest Reviews
I pregi superano i difetti.
- departuresone (8/5): Very close to main square - Bit confusing to find at first as there are no street names and the big square is under partial construction. Locals had to show me but they tried asking for money. Small two level Riad used by foreigners. Very close to main square and walkable to all sights. I looked for a hotel with a tv as I wanted to listen to local music channels. Day 1 the tv was not working and they said they would call a technician. Day 2 they said again they would call a technician but nobody came. Day 3 I gave up asking as it became a joke. When you book based on a particular item and it is included in the listing they should provide it or provide a credit. A tv might not be important for others as they can connect on their devices but it is the principle that a service that was listed was not provided for a 3 night stay.
- sabine (7/5): -
- Edwin (8/5): Geweldig verblijf gehad. - Midden in de Medina Geen
- Junyan (8/5): Beautiful traditional riad in the centre! - Location was PERFECT - in the middle of the Medina. The staff were really helpful too - they went out of their way to help us set-up our sims. I think because it was an older building, there was a bit of a smell from the bathroom drains. Also the breakfast food was cooked earlier and cold when served.
- Vilma (10/5): - Fina rum och otrolig personal! De fick en verkligen att känna sig hemma. Frukosten var också väldigt god och takterrassen var fantastisk
- Diogo M Gonçalves (10/5): - Staff was very very nice and always ready to help.
Perfect Riad experience highly recommended it with excellent location and very clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was the best experience.
- Beatrice (8/5): We had a fantastic stay at Riad Arabesque in Marrakech. The riad itself is absolutely beautiful and full of charm — the -
- Najib (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hemina (7/5): Good -
- Niranuch (10/5): Beautiful and Modern Riad - Beautiful and Well Equiped Riad.
Friendly and Helpful Azzeddine !
Location in old city - access to all attractions by walking.
Breakfast was good enough. Nothing if you like cats !
- Yousif (10/5): Exceptional - The location the food the hospitality the staff specifically Ezz El-din served us very well 👌🏻
- Research (8/5): Very good -
- Margaret (9/5): Your home in the heart of the Old Medina - Great location, super helpful, accomodating and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend. Weak wifi inside the rooms
- Tatiana (10/5): Must stay - Property is beautiful and wonderfully designed, upgraded, clean and spacious. This is a family owned place in a historic building, more than meets the eye. How do we know? My guest and I had the pleasure of meeting this family and learning the history of this building. Hear it for yourself.. We only had booked a couple nights here, but we extended our stay due to the hospitality they provided. From the moment we got here we felt at home. We highly recommend this place. Also great location. Close to the city square where many tours start. Would give 10 stars if possible Clean, modern, close to city square
- Migz (9/5): Superb - Location, value, service.. very ideal for practical travellers. Wifi in the room is weak. But good in the courtyard. Some maintenance needed for the taps/faucet, shower, a/c. All working but could be better.
- Migz (9/5): Superb - The location was good. It was close to the square (short walk). Rooms were of decent size based on our needs. The staff was accommodating and friendly. They helped us with our requests. I suggest it to travellers who value practicality. It isn't a luxury riad but it serves its function. Despite the things we didn't like, I would still highly recommend the place for those on a budget who look for practical and functional accommodation. Wifi has a poor connection in the room. But you can go out to the courtyard if you need a strong connection. The hot shower was not efficient but tolerable. In our first room the AC was dripping. A/Cs we're not freezing cold but cool enough for a comfortable temperature.
- Andrew (5/5): Passable - Fast check in. Uncomfortable bed, noisy hallway and loud slamming doors to all the rooms.
- Daud (10/5): Exceptional -
- Damir (10/5): very good - Authentic accommodation is located in the heart of the medina, 2 minutes from the main square, very friendly staff, rooms are cleaned every day. I recommend it for anyone who wants accommodation in the old part of the city
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aleksandra (10/5): Very positive Marrakech experience close to medina - We liked the interior patio, rooftop terrace and the genuine vibe of the place. Breakfast was good and filling. The staff had no problem with any request that we had.
To anyone travelling by car: beware that this place is unreachable by car and a carful route should be planned to reach a parking nearby. Because our room was with no windows the humidity was quite high after using shower. For me personally it is not a minus, but for others it possibly might be
- Gillian (9/5): Overall very pleasant experience - The breakfast was very good plenty of tea and variety of pastries
- Thomas (9/5): Superb - Very nice and friendly people. Nice Riad with good breakfast. Good location.
Met all my expectations.
- Chafaa (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were really lovely and they have made our stay very peaceful. The riad itself is very cute, homey in the middle of the Madina (great location). I highly recommend this place ❣️
- Jairam (5/5): Passable - Value for money.
Very very nice hosts. Room was dingy and lacked light.
Bathroom was poor in terms of facilities.
- Norismah (7/5): Good stay within the hustle of Medina. - Very close to places of interests and attractions.
Good breakfast.
Easily accessible.
Quiet enough in the morning.
Pleasantly decorated.
Easy to find nice places to eat. Bathroom floor may not be level - therefore it was difficult to open the shower door wide enough to get into the shower area. This will be particularly difficult for a larger size person.
Shower tray gets flooded easily.
- Giulia (8/5): Nice staying in Marrakech - Lovely location and place. Great staff
- Ji (6/5): Alright stay - Good decoration, spacious The stain class through outside with multiple colors were hurting my eyes at night. Couldn’t sleep well
- Michelle (10/5): We only stayed here for 2 days but the staff were truly exceptional!!! We appreciate that they are very easy to talk to, - The location and staff Nothing at all!
- Manting (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helma (10/5): Nice location, nice room, nice rooftop -
- Mariann (10/5): Exceptional - The location could not be better, staff is very helpful and friendly. Beautiful, traditional riad. Highly recommended.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - The Riad was clean and very traditional.
The staff were very helpful, and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and comfortable.
Breakfast was great, with traditional pastries and breads/jams.
Would stay here again.
- Serena (9/5): very central and great staff - location and staff fantastic at this lovely riad in the medina. a few minutes from the square and souks, a few minutes from the taxi drop (not able to go by car into the small streets). the room was spacious, bed very comfortable. the rooftop terrace was a blessing since no sunlight gets into the riad, we spend a couple of hours per day on the rooftop. the staff were very helpful and polite, breakfast was fine juice, coffee and breads of several types. room a little chilly in winter but probably could have asked for some heating!
- Julia (10/5): Amazing riad with the best location ! - Got a very warm welcome from Zinedine and he explained everything in the riad and my room. Riad is very close to the main square Jemaa el-Fnaa and Bahia palace. At night you don’t hear any outside noise which was great because the street is super busy in the day but you are in complete peace when you enter the riad. The orange cat will steal your heart ! I loved my stay. Room was clean and thank your for the cleaning crew that cleaned every day. If I’m back in Marrakech I’m booking back with L’Arabesque ❤️ /
- Fernanda (9/5): Superb - hotel is very close in all tourist area its all walkable
Staff are very good and friendly
- Sadhbh (8/5): Very good - Lovely quaint riad with an excellent location. Very helpful staff who even accommodated us with an early breakfast as we had to leave early one morning. Thank you for your hospitality
- Ian (8/5): PERFECT LOCATION - The location is superb,5 mins from Main Square and in Medina, plenty of excellent restaurants/cafes nearby, yet it still feels quiet
Staff were very helpful and solved any problems we had, breakfast was good and very welcome
Rooms were clean, towels regularly replaced,we had a problem with our initial room, but a room swap was quickly sorted
The rooftop area was a real bonus to chill out,it was spacious and a nice escape
- Luca (9/5): Relaxing short vacation in a beautiful quiet riad in Marrakesh centre. - Clean room at the ground floor of a nice riad in the town center. Perfectly corresponding to the pictures on the website. Very quiet in spite of the bustling atmosphere of Marrakesh. Gentle and kind host. Proportionate breakfast is served in the beautiful central court. Overall we had an excellent stay and would recommend this riad to friends. Internet connection was a bit unstable. Fully available only in the central court but not in all spots of the room we had. It could be improved.
A small window in the arch above the entrance door of our room lets in some light which guarantees a gradual awakening in the morning. It wasn't a problem for us but those who don't like these situations would do better to bring an eye mask.
- Viktor (7/5): Beautiful and cozy - Very beautiful and good place to stay, except WiFi and lock did not work. Also heard problems with other guests. Not a dealbreaker for us though. It may have been bad luck.
- Kevin (4/5): expensive for the quality. Only thing good was location - A traditional property in the heart of the souk with a nice internal patio. However, the patio was covered with a plastic fabric that made the overall riad feel quite dark and it looked a bit cheap. Facilities are old, strong smell of humidity in room. Bathroom is in need of an update, the curtail in the bathtroom does not work well. The room was located right in front of the patio, so you can hear everyone stopping by, breakfast in the morning.. and the only window we had gave on the patio so needless to say we did not open these for 3 days straight. toilet window was also given on patio so not that great overall. Bed was OK. Didn’t felt quite clean overall and breakfast could be significantly improved
- Colasanti (10/5): A gem of a Riad - I really did love this Riad. I wish I would have made our reservation for a longer stay.
- Elisabetta (8/5): Delightful stay. - Breakfast was super!
Amazing rooftoop terrace.
Everything went fine. Very nice staff. More bathroom shower/shampoo needed.
- Łukasz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Salvatore (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rivas (10/5): It was a delight. - The Riad was very quaint and the staff were very helpful. The room was a good size and everything was very clean. The breakfast was delicious and the rooftop was a delight! It was allocated very well. I am so thankful that we were able to stay in this Riad! I don’t have anything negative to say about our stay.
- Ishat (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful rooms and great staff
- Edita (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely riad with nice and friendly staff, a delicious breakfast, and a great location. Perfect for exploring Marrakesh!
- Andreea (9/5): Great location for local accommodation Riad, friendly and helpful staff - Location and staff. Mustafa was a great host.
- Mairead (8/5): Very good -
- Christina (9/5): Superb -
- R (6/5): Pleasant - Large room, central location Cold room, A/C didn’t work, broken electricity sockets - not the ‘deluxe’ room advertised
- Anita (8/5): A taste of real Marocco - Breakfast and the kindness of the stuff The bathroom was not the best
- Sally (9/5): Super location and did the job perfectly. - Great staff. Very helpful. Brilliant location to dip in and out of the madness Toilet seat was broken so I had to remove it completely.
- Vesna (8/5): Great place that needs an update - The location is perfect and the setting is authentic. The facilities are outdated, the toilet was leaking and the shower curtain needs to be changed for sanitary reasons. The electrical outlets are not up to code which could be a real problem.
- Taguhi (5/5): Passable - Location was great, but beds were not comfortable, air circulation was not good in the rooms. Toilets were weird. Staff was great. Toilet seats/covers were not attached to it, very annoying.
- Anastasia (10/5): Warm Hospitality and Perfect Location in Marrakech - Our stay at this riad in Marrakech was absolutely wonderful! The rooms were exactly as pictured—spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to unwind after exploring the city.
The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay. Mohamed, in particular, was exceptional. From the moment he greeted us with a warm smile and kindness, he made us feel truly welcome. He even met us at the square to guide us to the riad and was always available to assist with any questions or needs we had, no matter the time.
The location of the riad is fantastic—just a quick 5-minute walk to the main square. It’s surrounded by plenty of shops and mini-markets, making it super convenient for anything we needed.
If I ever return to Marrakech, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. A heartfelt thank you to Mohamed, Mustafá, and Zintin for making our visit so special!
- Gargan (8/5): Very good -
- Gilman (6/5): Good value, beautiful building, but needed improvements. - It was a beautiful building that needed some renovation. It had the potential to be fabulous. It was in a very central location but was still reasonably quiet. The bed I had was not good. It was hard with an old mattress and creaked alarmingly. The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. The staff failed to order a taxi for our early start back to the airport which caused some stress and made us later than we wanted. It may have been a problem of communication?
- Nicoleta (10/5): Amazing - Location was near by Medina
Room spot on clearance
was a issue with the room,Mahomed went above and beyond and sort out the problem.
We are highly recommend the Riad Arabesque.
Breakfast Very nice.
Very kind and helpful staff.
- Dottin (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was exceptional, courteous, helpful ... big thanks to the 2 ladies who worked in the kitchen and kept everything clean, close to all the activities. Everything was wonderful
- Maria (10/5): Charming! Good value for money - It’s a very charming and cute riad, with beautiful colors and designs. It’s very close to the main atractions and the people were extremely friendly all the time and accommodating! Zineddine was awesome too! The showe curtain could have a better system but that doesn’t affect the great stay we had! :)
- Pedro (9/5): Superb - The staff was super friendly and caring, they helped us a lot during our stay.
Breakfast was great
The location is just in the middle of the medina which is great
- David (9/5): Beautiful building in a great location - The riad was a beautiful building. The roof terrace was nice to sit outside and the balcony outside our room was a pleasant place to sit. It was right in the medina but incredibly quiet inside. The air con was quiet and efficient.
- Michelle (10/5): This is a great location if you are looking for an authentic experience. Mohammed and his assistant were so nice and hel - So close to the souks and marketplace My tv didn’t work the first night.
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sheel (7/5): Good - The service was excellent and people very pleasant. The location is ideal for Jemmael-Fna and Bahia Palace. The breakfast requires improving to include variety and vegetarian options
- Michel (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (10/5): Loved it - Beautiful Road, everything was super clean and friendly host. Everything was excellent
- Thierry (10/5): Excellent experience - The excellent service provided by the owner, he went the extra mile to ensure we had a good time with tips and organizing day travels. The breakfast was very good as well. To put a small negative, the room was a little simple, although very comfortable and functional
- Oliver (9/5): Superb - The staff is extremely nice, interesting and helpful. They were helpful with every need I had, and available at all times. The room was super nice, and they cleaned it super fast.
There was a nice Rooftop where you could sit and chill for a while, with lots of seats, and a nice pool The shower was a bit finicky to get to the perfect temperature and the location was good, but it made pick up and drop offs with taxis a bit difficult.
- Abdulaziz (8/5): Beyond expectations - The authenticity and helpful kind stuff
- Miriam (10/5): Beautiful Riad in the heart of old town! - Very beautiful and lovely Riad, right in the middle of the old town. The rooms are very traditionally decorated and the host Mohamed is very helpful and lovely person. Rooms are clean and breakfast is fresh and delicious. Parking is near by the riad.
- Rukhsana (9/5): Comfortable, staff were helpfully and friendly and location was good. - The bed was comfortable, rooms were decorated nicely, and rooms were clean. I liked that our room had good AC that worked and the shower was good. I also liked the foyer however I couldn’t enjoy sitting there due to the heat. Maybe having a fan or AC in the foyer would’ve been a good idea so guests can enjoy the rest of the riad. I also loved the how welcoming the staff were and enjoyed playing with the kitten owned by the riad. A big appreciation to Zinadeen as he was always present to provide a good service! And also a big appreciation to Mustafa for being a welcoming host. If the rooms had a fridge or a kettle would be beneficial as at times we did feel bad having to ask the staff to help us boil water or put our drinks in the fridge. But what I did like is that the staff welcomed us and allowed us to boil our own water which made us feel more comfortable in the space.
- Lesley (10/5): Very peasant stay really friendly helpful staff - Extremely nice staff ,very helpful. Had a great time in the area and the location is right there in the centre of all the activities from the markets and little back alley shops . Brilliant time . Also superb roof top area to relax in peace away from the hussle and bussel The taxi did not arrive as booked with booking .com left stranded till dark then had to get a private taxi to the hotel that dropped us off with out knowing where the hotel was
- Anu (4/5): HOT(not in a good way)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - It was a quiet place, the room was okay for four people. The people were really nice I hated the fake ac that was put in our room which never worked for one day despite being in a hot country and having to share a room with four other people with just one window was incredibly annoying and very irritating.
Also, the food honestly could have been better. It’s the same recycled food every single day. What even makes it more annoying is that we didn’t eat certain things that were served but they kept giving that same thing every day without even asking why or changing the meal!
The key to the front door never ever worked for us to open and we had to always knock on the door which was frustrating after a long day.
We also had to shower with the drainage cover removed so that the water would go easily.
Finally, the aesthetic of the building is poorly managed. There’s a water fountain that never works only when the cleaners are ready to clean the place do they put it on.
- Tina (7/5): Satisfactory though forgettable stay in a great location. - The location was superb. The room was enough for a night or two, but I wouldn't do a long-term (>3 nights) stay at this riad. It has the necessities though, and would be perfect for budget travelers that want easy access to the hustle and bustle of the medina. The quality of the room wasn't very high, e.g. the bathroom door could only be locked from the outside, the bathroom was worn and felt unclean (though it was not necessarily dirty). We had issues with the air conditioning but that was resolved. The staff also misunderstood a pretty clear message about needing a pick-up at the train station on the day of arrival, and a drop-off at departure at the airport. However, they sent a car to the airport for the arrival, so we took a yellow taxi on our own.
- Marina (9/5): Perfect Riad for a 4 day-stay in Marrakech. Excellent position. - A traditional Riad, in a wonderful position, close to the main square, but very quite. Our suite was comfortable, very clean and with a beautiful Moroccon decor.
The hosts are very helpful and kind. Breakfast was perfect, and always very good.
Good value for money. All was good.
- Cristina (10/5): Excellent choice. Has it all! - Riad L'Arabesque was a perfect lucky choice! The place is very conveniently located right next to the big square and out of the souks, which I find to be an asset. Plus, it's conveniently located also to reach the southern part of the city (Kasbah and Bahia Palace). It is very very clean and very well kept. The breakfast is super delicious and abundant. The staff is just awesome, so helpful, professional, and available to any request. They even walked with us to the taxi at 3 a m for our return flight. The place is managed by the lady of the house, a very welcoming and caring host! Her personal touch and fine taste made our stay even more special. I hope to meet her again in Rome! Nothing
- Sajeda (10/5): excellent - everything's except breakfast, there were no eggs nothing, host was very kind and helpful.
- Abdulameer (8/5): Very good -
- Spela (9/5): Superb - Really good location, nice terrace. The owner was so kind, he walked us to the parking to our taxi in the middle of the night because of an early flight. The communication could be better, because the first night we were transfered to a different hotel (it was close and okay) but without any notice before.
- Jackie (5/5): Wouldn’t recommend - Location was central
Staff were helpful and accommodating Unfortunately the lack of a functioning aircon , the filth & smell in the bathroom made the room nearly uninhabitable
- Dinara (4/5): Disappointing -
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional - Location is very good for medina, 5 minutes walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa also 5 to Bahia Palace so you've got everything around you. Inside you won't feel anything about the outside craziness. Staff very polite and helpful. The Riad and rooftop really nice. Maybe shower and mattress could do with an update
- Jenny (9/5): I chose the perfect Riad! - Simo is incredible! I would stay there time and time again simply because of his beaming smile and top notch service. There was a mix up with booking but he went above and beyond to make it a perfect stay! Bravo from this American gal traveling through Marrakech! 😍
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Csaba (10/5): Exceptional - The location and the interior of the Riad is exceptional. Very helpful staff. na
- Jesus (10/5): Best accommodation you can get - Beautiful place, very authentic, clean, great location and the staff is amazingly kind and helpful
- Marta (10/5): We loved our stay. Riad Arabesque is a very lovely, typically Moroccan place. Simo is a perfect host - The breakfast was very nice. Riad is situated in the heart of medina. We could see and feel the "real" Marrakesh which was amazing! We drank hectoliters of Moroccan tea offered every single time by riads stuff. We will surely come back next time in Marrakesh. A thing! Everything was just great.
- Geoffrey (10/5): The Riad Arabesque,in Marrakech was a wonderful place to stay centrally with a very exciting Medina. - The location was excellent, only a short walk into the centre of the medina. We had one excellent meal there on a beautiful top terrace. The staff were lovely and very calming and helpful.
We had breakfast on each of the 3 mornings that we stayed there in the excellently restored central part of the Riad. A beautiful place. We were travelling by car. The "price" that we paid for this wonderful location was getting to the car park through some very narrow streets and then having a "barrow boy" to help us find and take our luggage to the Riad. The room was "compact".
- Omar (10/5): Perfect stay in Marrakech! - I had the most delightful stay at Riad L’Arabesque in Marrakech. Simo, the staff member, truly went above and beyond to make my experience exceptional.
From the moment I arrived, Simo welcomed me with warmth and genuine care. He took the time to share insider tips on the best things to do in the city. His recommendations led me to hidden gems, local markets, and cultural experiences that I wouldn’t have discovered on my own.
But Simo’s kindness didn’t stop there. When it was time for me to leave, he arranged a taxi for me, sparing me the hassle of negotiating prices and potential rip-offs. His thoughtful gesture made my departure stress-free and convenient.
The riad itself is a haven of tranquility. The beautifully decorated rooms, the sun terrace, and the 24-hour front desk service all contributed to a memorable stay. And let’s not forget the free Wi-Fi – a traveler’s essential!
If you’re looking for an authentic and charming place to stay in Marrakech, Riad L’Arabesque is the perfect choice. Simo’s hospitality truly made my visit unforgettable. I can’t wait to return! Nothing!
