Cindy (8/5): Overall had a great one night stay and would not hesitate to go back! - Beautiful grounds - walked around a little and wished we had time to walk around more - even saw a gorgeous sunset! Nice spacious room with an amazing view and we were pleasantly surprised to find our bathroom had a whirlpool tub! The coffee maker was a little dirty - looked like it hadn't been used in a while and had to be cleaned before we could use it and there were a few cobwebs in the lights in the bathroom.

A lovely stay in many ways...comfortable bed, nice view of the lake from the Terrace rooms...Jacuzzi tub, spacious room and bathroom with separate shower, amenities like bathrobes and slippers...staff very accommodating in arranging a late check-out and holding on to my luggage, since I was meeting friends that afternoon for a round of golf. But the place could definitely use a spruce up, showing its age, especially for the prices being asked.
Ankur (2/5): - I recently stayed at Eganridge Resort and unfortunately, the experience did not match the expectations set by their listing on Expedia. The website highlights a private beach and pool, but in reality, the “beach” is just a small, unkempt patch of shoreline that should not be marketed as a proper beach. The “pool” is actually a plunge pool, which is very different from what guests would reasonably expect—this needs to be made clear upfront. The toiletries were very limited and not replenished during the stay, which was disappointing as I certainly wasn’t going to use what appeared to be leftovers from previous guests. Overall, the service and amenities did not align with the price point.

Brian (8/5): It was just about a perfect get-away for our 38th anniversary. - We did not have breakfast there, but we had dinner there both nights. We really liked the layout and features of the room, as well as its orientation to the lake. The dining room is lovely. We played golf and walked the course for 20 holes, as the rate was reduced because the greens were recently cored and filled. The bed mattress on the closet side was sinky. Sometimes the toilet ran mysteriously then would spontaneously flush. Most of the high-back chairs were uncomfortable in the dining room so we switched to the conventional chairs.

The spa was wonderful and well staffed. Billing system upon checkout is also painful. We checked out 2 days ago and I'm still waiting for additional charges to be explained and or deposit returned!
Stephen (8/5): It was an enjoyable experience. - The location was great for our vacation, situated nicely between Fenelon Falls and Bobcaygeon. The view from the Patio Door is great and we loved the Dining room. The staff were all friendly and were very engaged with the guests. Its an older hotel with dated furniture. Basic maintenance like checking for slow or slightly clogged sink drains.......electrical outlets that need replacement ,potholes on private road that leads to hotel. We ate in the beautiful dining room but found spider webs, When you are paying premium pricing for white linen service, then cleanliness must match the customers expectations.

Staff were nice to help but really the extra sleeping was worse than I have seen in crack motel rooms. Come on Eganridge, you can do better and have been better in the past

I felt bad for the person serving us as she had the entire dining room and bar to manage by herself.

Lucy (10/5): - My boyfriend and I visited Eganridge at the end of April. It was the off season however it was so nice that they were open and the room was very clean and luxurious. The spa is beautiful and it was a very pleasant experience. Overall I highly rate this resort.
Kacper (6/5): - Great: location, quality of the maintenance facilities (except for docks), very nice and helpful Staff. We found breakfast service nice, but very very disorganized, and therefore unreasonably overpriced! The Restaurant needs to invest in a modern urban quality coffee maker, especially a proper espresso machine used these days in restaurants and coffee shops that charge this much for coffee in addition to the poor quality drip coffee maker that to some will suffice. The shift Manager needs to be more proactive in more efficient organization of the breakfast service. With very few tables taken, we waited for half an hour for very simple eggs dishes, and coff. In case the same Food & Beverage Manager is also responsible for the dinner, we decided not to risk, and not to overspend, and instead drove to an outside restaurant. This I consider very bad, especially if the Management of the Resort is not prepared to pay enough attention to the opportunity to improve the quality of breakfast service as it strongly discourages us from dinning at their restaurant, unless they make special announcement about improvements in the management of the food and beverage service, including breakfast service. Another strong weakness is the docks/marina area. In contrast to the rest of the facilities, Looks dilapidated and abandoned, certainly prohibitive for those who are looking for a decent, even if simple, docking experience with a boat. The docking does not seem easily accessible either.

Irene (10/5): - The staff at reception were very friendly and welcoming. My terrace room was comfortable and nicely appointed. I enjoyed sitting on the patio taking in the serenity and appreciated the fireplace when the weather changed overnight. The bedding is a nice quality, as was the bathrobe. The dining room is lovely, ans is the choice of music, and my server, Adina was gracious and attentive, not hesitating to consult the chef with my questions. Adina gets high marks, as does the chef. My beef rib ragout was delicious. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the toilet handle, which was loose and needed replacement, and what sounded like a vapour lock when I turned on the shower in the morning, presumably the room hadn’t been used in a while considering the season. The maintenance man seemed to take that seriously and said he’d look into it immediately. I was only there one night, but I’m sure those minor things were remedied. Otherwise, the toiletries were nice quality. They may want to consider putting bath foam to use in the jacuzzi, but even without it was very relaxing.

Our room was nice and clean. But the dining room had mouse droppings on the counter and the living room was dirty in spots with food scraps visible under the furniture. One of our party got stuck in the snow in the parking area due to weather and there was no immediate help available. Also our toilet seat broke.

Karen (9/5): We would definitely stay here again! - The room was spacious and clean. The furnishings were very nice and the view was beautiful. We enjoyed the dining room very much. We liked everything, but if asked to nitpick, there were some bonded leather seats in the hallway leading to our room that looked a bit shabby. Other than that detail, the overall impression of the place was very nice. The room itself was nicely decorated and the staff very helpful and nice to deal with.

karen (6/5): - The hotel room was not cleaned properly even asking for it to be redone. The carpet and sofa were old and stained, the sheets had holes, The pub deck needed weeding and more attention to garbage not picked up. Food was surprisingly good and staff very friendly.

Just a big wedding venue - great location, beautiful setting on the lake nice big room and bed great food in the restaurant The hotel is basically a wedding venue, we were one of only a few guests who weren’t part of the wedding party and tbh it would just make sense for Eganridge to book out the whole hotel when a wedding is happening - it meant that the restaurant and bar are pretty much empty with no atmosphere in the evening, the meal times changed (breakfast finished early so they could accommodate the wedding party for brunch) and the staff in general prioritised the wedding guests over normal paying guests. Receptionists were a bit rude - when I asked about the spa services their response was ‘I’ve got absolutely no information and no idea what they offer’….I gather it is a private entity however you are called ‘Eganridge Golf & Spa’!!

Mo (4/5): - The overwhelming first impression was that I was staying in The Overlook from The Shining. Admittedly, I was there in late March, so it's the off season. The hotel was undergoing major renovations so the hallways were filled with tools, materials, and the smells of varnish and sawdust. Breakfast isn't served until 8:30, so that's a non-starter for anyone needing to get to work. Food at dinner is "boil in a bag"--literally. It was edible but definitely not worth the price. Went to the bar once for "Happy Hour" --no one working there could tell me what the happy hour specials were. No housekeeping services done over my 4 day stay.

Terrific rooms. - Great breakfast, I had the classic breakfast, Jon had the omelette - both excellent Dinner - Jon loved his main course, but burratta salad with smoked red pepper puree was 'odd' . My french onion soup would have been fine, except the onions had not been caramalized (very crunchy which is not correct) and the chef added chimichuri to the top (??). The chicken breast with fettucine was good, but there was little chicken with lots of fettucine. Would have liked more chicken. Desert (sundae) was great and server gave us extra since we were sharing - thank you.
Talilush (7/5): Nice hotel, bad front desk service. - The room and outdoors. The representative at the front desk was matter-of-fact and not really welcoming. When I asked her about hiking options and recommended places of interest in the area, she reluctantly replied that she has no idea and could not be of any help to me in this matter. She gave me the feeling I am disturbing her. Since she didn't offer me any help, I had to ask her for tourist brochures, (which are available in every hotel of this kind of resort. This was eventually given to me by another employee. In other words, in that kind of hotel , I would expect a much more pleasant and courteous service. My advice to the manager don't employ unprofessional fron desk staff members.

Allan (10/5): - Unpretentious but comfortable and intimate. Staff are welcoming and attentive. Restaurant is relaxing with a ‘locally grown’ focus and a more than competent chef and kitchen staff. A real gem.
Barry (6/5): - Our room was nice and met expectations. More temperature control of the room would have been better or to turn on a fan. We had to open our sliding door to cool the room more. We enjoyed playing the golf course. However we didn't have anything to do after golf. The website made reference to walking the grounds, but there is no map of the grounds. Only place we saw to walk was in the subdivision of homes. We are early risers as well, thus waiting until 8:30am for dining room to open for breakfast was inconvenient. Overall the food in the dining room was good, but too expensive .
