- Rhonda (5/5): Needed a cheap but clean place to sleep, and this met my expectations. - Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Cleaning products left a lingering smell in the room. Some outlets in the room didn't work. Breakfast area wasn't monitored, so people left it dirty.

That one smelled like mold too. I don’t know if they had a flood of some sort and it got below the flooring the put in there but it was terrible. Place needs to be redone. I had a room for people with dogs so IDK if the other rooms were better but two of the double queen rooms, pet friendly were terrible.

After I booked it I didn't get any communication from you at all that there was a problem. On late Saturday morning (the day we were supposed to check in) I got a call from the motel saying they had NO ROOMS!!!! Not a room at all. So obviously I didn't get to stay there. After scrambling to get another room, fortunately we found another hotel. Needless to say I will NEVER book anything through your site again!!

- Chelsea (2/5): Terrible - I had a room booked for several months, the man called me twice regarding my stay and asked if I was still coming because he had others that were wanting to stay and proceeded to call me at 10a the day of. (Mind you check in is not till 3pm) I told HIM multiple times we are in the area for races and it would be evening that we would check in. We got there about 9:30p exhausted and tired. Needless to say this man gave away our room to someone else!!! After he was told we will be there multiple times! I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone! And I will never go back. Thank goodness we were able to find an air BNB online and drive another 20mins. For the record the air BNB was amazing! Very clean and friendly when times are tough.

- Tilla (2/5): Not well kept - We waited for a good 5 minutes before getting checked into the room. The walls and floors in the room were dirty. The beds were not comfortable and the shower head made a loud squealing noise when the hot water was running. The pool was freezing cold and looked like it has not been cleaned or had regular maintenance down. The hot tub was dirty and Luke warm. The breakfast consisted of stale cereal frosted flakes or fruit loops, breads, bagels, and some bite sizes muffins. I ended my stay early and he would not give me a refund for the night I did not stay.

- Shannon (4/5): - From beginning to end it was pretty much a nightmare. I made a reservation about 2 months prior to our stay. We got there and the rooms were all messed up, none of the rooms were clean. There was an ant problem in our room which we were told there was something on the floor they would clean up, they did not. the pool was green and bottom rusty. whole place smelled bad. One group in our party needed to wait for the sheets to be washed and for clean towels. Floors were dirty, bedding was stained, the mattress cover was ripped and falling apart. Our smoke detector was broken and hanging from the ceiling, some rooms didn't have a working phone. The staff tried, but they seemed to not be very knowledgeable on how to run the place. Another party in our groups reservation was completely lost and they ended up having to go to another city to find a room. Either make the place all "residential" or you need to do a complete overhaul of the place. I think my living situation in Afghanistan was better and cleaner.

- Lacey (2/5): - This property is not ready for guests. The pool and hot tub were not kept up on the pool area is falling apart. We got in the water then got right back out. They had old durtiture and AC units stacked in the pool areas using it gor storage. We entered the eoom and it was cleaned but the white blsnkeys on our beds were fill of little orange stains everywhere. The hotel also had like what seemed like a bunch of guests of a different country living in the hotel. It seemed very scary movie and illegal like, my kids were very uncomfortable along with myself. We were not checked in a whole hour befor i decided it was time to go. They only refunded me half and even tried arguing with me on that trying to make me responsible for the expedia commission. Eventually they did give me half and we left. Highly highly recommend not staying in this hotel. The tvs are very small and dont match the size of the rooms. The AC/ heater units are very outdated the whe units itself was outdted very bad. It felt like we were is a 90s horror movine. My daughter even made a comment on how badly we were stared at by theses permanent guests that were just sitting around the lobby of the hotel. If you have children do not got here!

There were long black hairs under the covers of the bed and my daughter had a flea crawling on her after spending a few mins laying on it. We are blond and have no pets. Breakfast was a few dry slices of bread, bagels or stale cereal. Would not recommend - only slightly better than sleeping in a van down by the river.

- David (8/5): Can not beat this place for the price. - Breakfast included various juices, yogurt, muffins, scone-like thingys, bread (w/butter and jellies for toast), bananas, apples, oranges, two kinds of cereal with milk, waffle batter and a waffle maker, and of course coffee. Unfortunately there was no oatmeal, but otherwise the breakfast was on par with, or slightly better than, what you would expect from a hotel in this price range. Oatmeal would be a great addition to the breakfast menu. UPDATE: although I was told there is no oatmeal for breakfast, I see in my photos of the breakfast area that there was indeed oatmeal available. Wish I would have known that as oatmeal is my breakfast must-have. The bathroom towels were large and fluffy. Not the small coarse polyester towels as found at some locations. The best part was they actually had Bibles available... granted they weren't in the room (which used to be standard in the good old days) but rather on a shelf in the lobby, but that's better than most motels these days. But, if there's not enough to put one in every room, than maybe there's some logic to making the few available to anyone like me who would like to end a hard day of work, or fun, by reading something from the everlasting Word of God.

- Amber (2/5): Disappointing, Untidy, Want a refund - It was easy to find. The pool was closed, but no mention at check in. My 8yr old almost got into the pool before i noticed there were no towels. Had to ask front desk staff for towels and then was informed pool was closed. The room was not vacuumed, dirt and wrappers of some sort all over the floor. The shower squeeled like crazy when running. And you can HEAR everything. I could hear what was going on in the 2 rooms ACROSS the hall from me all night long. And there were tkmes the guests were in the hallway playing loud music and singing/screaming. The second entrance/exit was not locked at night. The yard was filled with cigarette butts, beer bottle tops, and beer bottles/cans. The breakfast room wasn't very clean and the breakfast itself just seemed unappealing.

- Angel (6/5): - Before you book there is no pool or hot tub. Looks like they are updating the hotel, but there are no signs saying they are. There is no microwave in the room, but down by the meeting room there is a shared one. They also have a lot of long term residents that at times are not so quiet. Overall the bed was soft and I got to shower.

We never saw the room, and left to find other accommodations This was the OWNER of the establishment and would not recommend this place EVER - Keep driving!.

The owner took a screen shot of my credit card information with his personal phone. They were nice folks. However, their way of operating is very archaic.

- Gustav (7/5): There is no Pool. - Rooms are updated since last we stayed, beds are good, room was clean. They need to STOP advertising about a Pool, they have a hole where one is, and it's empty and now a storage area, even on their sign it says POOL. No stop lying. The breakfast is water, milk and juice, thankfully there is a Mom and Pop diner across the way, For $5 more you can stay in Staples with a pool and hot tub, if this wasn't a few blocks from where we planned to be all weekend I would take my own advice. Lying and false advertising of a pool. Their "breakfast"
- Denise (2/5): - Website is incorrect, there is no pool or hot tub. It’s under major construction. The heater in our room made a loud bang and started smoking and didn’t work after that. We asked for another room (they were not full, only 6 cars in parking lot) instead he brought in a small space heater. The mattress and pillows had to be as old as the hotel. Very uncomfortable. No soft water. The price should be lowered a lot to reflect what you get. Will never return.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible place to stay - Terrible place to stay. They have signs all over saying if you break this rule you will be fined so much for each rule. How about they clean up their act. Holes in lampshade, black hair in sink, laminate flooring needed sweeping, bedding dirty black specks all over sheets, walls needed patching, pillows very worn out hard as a rock. Outdated rooms would have been ok if the place was clean. A total dump not worth what they charge.

- Holly (7/5): Good - The staff in the hotel were very nice and polite I would much rather stay here than pine River inn or nisswa Inn and suites, I would tell everyone to stay away from those two places and definitely worth the drive to motley, but if you don't want bed bugs or germs stay away from pine River inn and nisswa Inn & suites, the room even made my dog sick . Would highly recommend to stay at the Eastwood Inn in motley.

- Patricia (4/5): - Not happy about our stay at Eastwood. They lost my reservations. Thankfully they had a room available, The room was comfortable enough. The floor was dirty under the beds. My Grandchildren found a cigarette & some red capsules under the bed. The shower curtain had many holes in it. I did report that & it was changed immediately. The pool was cold & had gravel & some other sediment on the bottom. In the morning the staff tried to enter our room with her keys. Thankfully I had the extra lock flipped across so she couldn't enter. She quickly said she was there to tell us check-out was 11am. It was only 9:30am. We won't ever stay there again.
- Jacob (2/5): Can't recommend this place to my worst enemies - Where to begin? Hotel "lost" my reservation made weeks in advance, tried to send me to another hotel 45min away. No continental breakfast (as advertised) and pool has apparently been out of order for several months/years. Front desk lady clearly didnt want to be bothered from her phone to help us with any concerns. Gave off some bigtime Norman Bates vibes too...She eventually found us a substitute room with holes in the wall and stains on the towels and bed sheets. Looking outside the property the was trash all over the place and it was obvious that several rooms had people living in them and/or intended to stay there for months at a time. There was also NO STAFF available between 11pm-7am each day, so forget it if you fibd issue with your room after being out and about all day. Just a sign on the front door that states: Sorry, No Vancy Seems like this "hotel" is a front for money laundering, because nobody could be this terrible at every aspect of what they do and still remain in business... If I had to say something nice about this place: at least there was running water?? But even that was mislabeled in terms of hot vs cold... laughably horrible experience. Wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemies!
- Amber (2/5): Very dirty - Very dirty. Cigarette burns all over carpet and furniture. Doors and walls were very dirty. Several people living in the hotel rooms. Offered breakfast. There was nothing available and no coffee. I washed the room with a face cloth so I could even stay there.
- Savile (8/5): - The Manager was very friendly and accomodating. Room was in nice shape. Felt clean. There was no breakfast, but I have a feeling someone just did not show up for work, so very minor issue. Cleanliness and safety were on par with our expectations.
- Kim (6/5): Won’t stay again - The front desk person was crabby and not willing to assist or get us an extra towel. The rooms were ok but bathrooms were not as clean as they could be. The free breakfast was almost nonexistent.

- Sharon (8/5): It was a overnight stay and worked out well for our needs. - We called ahead and asked to be checked in early and was allowed. Hair on the shower curtain and candy wrapper under the bed.

- Joel (4/5): - Bed made poorly, no elevator to 2nd floor that I could find. Sink leaked. Had to wake up help to get breakfast an hour late. Key did not work after getting breakfast. Milk and OJ in gallons, not individual portions. Papers in room were dirty/stained. Shower was nice and hot.

- Robert (4/5): Go to the next town... - The motel is quite run down. I would not take my wife there. The desk attendant was never at the desk, and didn't have much to say when he was. There is one restaurant within walking distance, and I didn't even see another one as I drove around looking for a safe-looking liquor store. The town is a dump.
- James (8/5): Decent place - Older hotel, friendly staff, acceptable room, so so breakfast. Very quiet.

- Anthony (6/5): Definitely not staying there again if I can avoid - Not impressed. Room wasn't disgusting, but wasn't clean either. Multiple apparently coffee or beverage spills on walls by night stands, even though it was non smoking room there were what looked like ash burns in various places on the walls. Sink had big crack in it, surprised it didn't leak. Bathroom fan and AC vents totally covered in thick layer of dust. Everything just seemed grimy. and overall appearance of being run down. Pool was still closed "due to Covid" even after this long, even though it was full of water? Was noisy most of the night, doors slamming and loud talking in the halls. Just overall was not someplace I'd ever want to stay at again. Only picked this hotel because there were no other rooms available in Brainerd and this was the closest available.
- Jeanne (8/5): - Great location, quiet area. It looked like someone had emptied the trash out of their car near the side entrance. Trash littered the lawn, not the fault of the staff but it didn't look very nice. There was a problem with the room keys too. Though the rooms were clean, the carpet in the room needed to be replaced. Expedia said the beds were king size and they were not. They were very comfortable though.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The rooms were decently clean. Small ant problem but nothing bad Only downside was hotel couldnt find my reservation but did give us a room as i did have a 7 montn old baby.
- Mark (2/5): Horrible! - Well si ce the didn't actually honor our reservation I cannot say the stay was good. I called to confirm and they had already given our room away. We were coming from 6 hours away. Goos thing I called sonce they made no attempt to call me. We would have shown up at 11pm amd had no room. HORRIBLE SERVICE! Highly discouage anyone staying there!

- Verified traveler (4/5): Go the extra distance to Brainerd or Little Falls - This hotel was built over 23 years ago with no updates and it shows. Non-smoking rooms have “smoking smell”; bathrooms smell like urine and there was no proof that any type of COVID-19 enhanced cleaning was done.
