- Jessica (4/5): Sadly, the only hotel in a reasonable distance. - The location was good. The booking listing shows there is a hot tub in the pool facility. They have covered the hot tub and there is no longer one there. The breakfast was less than par. Eggs tasted like chalk. There was no other meat options, but the pork in the biscuits and gravy. The orange juice tasted like water. The coffee in the breakfast area was cold as well as the coffee by the front desk. The complementary cookies they advertised in the front office were never refilled. At 5 AM we tried to shower and there was no hot water when informing the front desk. We were never apologized to just told they would tell a manager and we were hung up on. We did not have hot water until after 8 o’clock. There was also no mention of the fitness center being closed for repairs during this time, and we only found out when we went downstairs to use it.

Love the fact that there is a fridge and microwave. Shower was good. Breakfast gravy was good-had tots and bacon and eggs. Only downfall was that only half of the tv channels came in- the rest were blocked. Front tried to fix but could not.

- W567MIcharlest (6/5): Decent but a few issues - Overall decent stay with a few issues. First, the fire alarm going off at midnight due to someone burning a pizza in the lobby (why do you allow this!!). Second, the dehumidifiers on each floor in the hallways need to be emptied twice each day. The first night it was SO humid in the rooms despite running the A/C blowers all night. I manually emptied all 3 units (when full, they stop running) twice so the hallways on the 2d floor would be less humid! Room and shower were fine, breakfast only fair but staff person was meticulous about keeping the room clean!

I called to confirm my reservation and reestablish my confirmation number for check in. Unfortunately AI Edward needed confirmation number only to confirm stuff with no second way of establishing me (maybe by email address?). Tried to contact hotel directly to talk to a person and was automatically routed to AI Edward. This was very frustrating to say the least and made a very unfavorable attitude about the hotel chain in general. After arriving Staff and room (bed, shower, and towels) were very good.

There are far better options just across the street for hotels and eating as well.

- U7707RBryanm (10/5): Great Customer Service and experience - I reserved rooms for my crew as we were running a race in Boone, IA. The rooms were cleaned and in the proper location. Mostly, the staff were very friendly and provided great customer service. We had to cancel a couple of rooms, and they were able to use the lounge for our group meeting. It was a very good experience. The only negative criticism was not the hotel (even though it was under construction). We went down the hallway to the casino, and you could smell the cigarette smoke. You could not smell it in the hotel. Just be aware of it.

- markim1991 (10/5): Very nice - would return if I am in the area again. - We stayed at this hotel when we were in town for a family funeral and were very pleased with the accommodations and the hotel. The hotel itself is very easy to get to and has ample parking in a nice open area. The hotel seems a bit older, and maybe a little dated, but was extremely clean, both in the room as well as the common areas. It had a nice, clean smell in the halls and even the stairwell. The entry area is very roomy with two different sitting areas, which was great as a few other family members were staying there, so we were able to visit with each other while we were all in town. The hotel also has a meeting room/breakfast area which had ample space and was another nice place to gather to spend time together, although I think the room is closed after breakfast and reopens later in the day. The complimentary breakfast was really tasty. There weren't a ton of options, but there was definitely a sufficient amount, and everything there was hot and fresh. The area was also very clean and well-maintained. We didn't utilize the pool or fitness center, so I can't review those, but the rest of the hotel was kept very clean. The only very minor negative (not a complaint, just negative), is that the entrance to the hotel is a little hidden and underwhelming. I also felt that the check-in desk was a little set back and not as welcoming as I would think it should be. The staff were nice, kind of quiet, but just not super welcoming. If in the area again, I would definitely stay at the Jefferson Cobblestone again.

Let’s talk about the shower though. The water pressure was brutal. It was like water torture. Deep tissue water massage on your back but forget about washing your face. Some pressure regulators would be a good investment for the property. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay.

Coffee was available at 330 in the morning. Check-in/check-out was quick and easy. The convenience food is a nice amenity.
- LouAnn (4/5): Travelers beware - Upon arrival the check-in girl was very rude. Don't ask any questions, because all you'll get is grief. Our room had roaches,and when I brought to the attention of the assistant manager, she asked if I had proof, I showed her the picture I took, she started apologizing. And she told me that she had to speak with her manager,but they would refund the price of the room. That did not happen . They took 50 dollars off bill. The bed was horrible, and the bathroom could of been cleaner

Pool was essentially unusable for adults and kids were quite cold for the time they could be in it. Pool room was kept at about 60 degrees. Rooms are always clean and comfortable.
