Guest Reviews
- Brooke (10/5): - This place is great! The couple who runs it are very friendly and helpful, the house was amazing, and breakfast was delicious. Its also in a great location on a nice street. Our room was very clean as well.
- jennifer (10/5): - We had an excellent time here. It was such a warm and inviting place to stay. Hosts were wonderful. Breakfast was great and the bed was super comfortable. But absolutely recommend and stay again
- Gloria (10/5): Welcoming REAL Bed and Breakfast - Our hosts were lovely, very welcoming. It felt like staying with friends. Each breakfast was delicious, with interesting conversations with other guests and the host. Plus there’s Baby, their dog! Adorable! Check out the hand painted ceiling in the dining room. I’d stay there again if I was in the area.
- Marilyn (8/5): Nice area - Its a lovely area. Nice to walk around and see the old houses. Short drive to everything
- Marilyn (8/5): Victorian - Real Victorian in a lovely neighborhood
- Susan (10/5): Genuine Victorian B&B in Tacoma WA - Impressive Victorian house, beautifully decorated throughout with hand-painted murals. Owners Jane and Skip were most welcoming and accommodating. Bed was most comfortable, but I loved the fluffy pillows! When I arrived, Jane told me breakfast would be simple…then surprised us with beautifully presented fresh fruit cups, French toast and perfectly cooked bacon. What is her idea of a fancy? Staying at the Geiger Victorian is the genuine B&B experience as it once was. I loved it!
- Pamela (10/5): Nice - I stayed in an third floor room that was clean and comfy with the air conditioner running for awhile upon arrival and again before I slept.
Very authentically Victorian. Beautiful garden beds. Neighborhood was quiet after 10p
I'd add photos, but app is not Android friendly.
- Morgan (10/5): - Lovely unique building, comfortable rooms, the hosts are lovely and breakfast was delicious :) good for solo travellers or small groups.
- Melissa Rene (10/5): - Skip and Jane were wonderful hosts! Everything you would expect from a Victorian home bed and breakfast. Lost of history to see and enjoy. The yard and gardens were well groomed, the rooms were very clean. There happened to be a major heat wave when we were visiting and they brought a portable AC unit to our room on the 3rd floor to make sure we were comfortable. Breakfast was beautiful and delicious as well. They were very kind to ask about allergies, sensitivities or diet preferences before making the menu. We parked on the street, the area felt very safe and well kept. Cafes and nice dining, and plenty of scenic views (Mt Rainer!) within a short drive.
- Debra (10/5): Lovely Victorian Bed & Breakfast - 2nd time we’ve stayed at this beautiful, historical bed & breakfast. Owners are so friendly and each room, in this large Victorian home, is full of antiques and decorated beautifully. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. We’ll definitely stay again.
- Elaine (10/5): - We had a lovely stay at the Geiger Victorian B&B. In a beautiful, old Victorian house with period decor and furnishings, Jane and Skip were great hosts. Although our room (Amy's Room) did not have an ensuite bath, the hallway and bathroom were for our use only, closed off from other guests. We just thought of it as our "suite". Comfortable bed, delicious breakfast, nice common areas of the house. We would recommend Geiger Victorian B&B.
- Jacey (10/5): - Great stay, very comfortable and relaxing.
- Mary Nicole (10/5): - Beautiful property in a wonderful neighborhood. The hosts were delightful, courteous and accommodating.😊
We highly recommend and would gladly stay here again!
- Vit (10/5): - Excellent BnB experience. Our breakfasts were delicious and the hosts were very welcoming and supportive. Very walkable neighborhood with easy access to all of Tacoma.
- Vicki (10/5): - Jane and Skip are the sweetest hosts. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.
- Rena (10/5): - The home was beautiful & very comfortable. The hosts were fabulous. Our breakfast was verynice. The neighborhood is beautiful. Lovely Victorian homes! Walkable to public transportation,& nice bar/restaurant not far down the street.
- Kaelin (10/5): - Stellar alternative to bland hotels! Quiet, easy parking, easy to find. The decor is AMAZING! The clawfoot bathtub was a nice surprise in the huge bathroom I had all to myself. The breakfast of french toast, bacon, and fruit was homemade and delicious. The owner/operators were very friendly and accomodating. 10/10 will go with them again!
- Mark (10/5): - I'm so glad we stumbled upon this online. If you want an experience, and love antique Victorian style, it would be difficult to beat this.

We thoroughly enjoyed the owners and how they treated us. The setting was very homey and welcoming.
- Melissa (10/5): A beautiful, quiet home with tasty breakfast - A beautiful home with wonderful hosts. I had an early flight and they accommodated my schedule with early breakfast, which was delicious. The couple chatted a little about their history with the house. I also got to pet their dog Baby. I had a great stay!
- Julie (10/5): - This was a lovely stay. The owners were very hospitable and kind. The home is gorgeous and very well maintained. The only down side is it can get pretty warm during summer months with windows that don’t open and just a fan that was helpful but if it was any warmer outside, it could get a bit stuffy.
We will definitely stay again next time we are in the area.
- Shelly (4/5): - Property was unique, historical, and lovely. We happened to arrive on a very warm day and there was no air conditioning. There is also no elevator and one of our rooms was on the 3rd floor. As 3 menopausal women, we decided to find lodging elsewhere. Host was gracious though.
- Tyler (10/5): - Beautiful Victorian home. The homeowner's Jane and Skip are such nice people to visit with. Very homey and comfortable. Very clean and breakfast was delicious. In a safe and quiet neighborhood. 10/10 will come stay again!
- Katherine (10/5): - Staying at the Geiger BnB was a special and unique experience. Jane and Skip were incredible hosts.
Breakfasts were absolutely delicious. The history of the house and the neighborhood was really interesting. The creation of the property has been a decades long labor of love, and it shows in every inch of the house.
I hope that if/when Jane and Skip retire, that somebody comes along as sees the value of keeping this house and its history alive for as long as possible.
- Robert (10/5): - Nice room in a well decorated older Victorian house. Very quite neighborhood with lots of on street parking. Jane and Skip were wonderful hosts and provided fully prepared outstanding breakfests each morning.
- Scott (10/5): Beautiful B & B - Beautiful home with impeccable attention to detail. Very friendly hosts who prepared an excellent breakfast for us. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
- Robert (10/5): - Lovely old victorian home. Lots of interesting antiques and memorabilia to explore. Jane and Skip were very welcoming and checkin went smoothly. We stayed in "Amy's " room. The bed was on the softer side and the room was comfortable. Served fruit, french toast and bacon for breakfast. During breakfast, we enjoyed conversation with the other guests and Jane and Skip. We would recommend a stay here if traveling through the area.
- Amy (10/5): - Pretty neighborhood, nice gardens.
- Alice (10/5): - I don’t have enough time to write the much deserved RAVE about this place ! You are in for a REAL TREAT.
Jane and Skip have poured their hearts and souls into this gorgeous historic home. On top of all that? They are charmers! Great breakfast, too!
Stop reading and BOOK it!!!
- Todd (10/5): - Jane and Skip were incredibly nice and accommodating; they provided a "to go" breakfast when we have to leave early in the morning. Several good restaurants are within walking distance.
- Erin (10/5): - The property was absolutely beautiful. Jane and Skip were lovely hosts. The food was delicious, and the room was gorgeous.
- Catherine (10/5): - Really friendly hosts and a gorgeous house.
- Debra (10/5): - My husband & I stayed 1 night while visiting family. We stayed in Alice’s room. It was very clean and the bed & pillows were very comfortable. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast & hearing about the history of the house & visiting with the owners, Skip & Jane. We are planning to stay 2 night next time. I don’t know where to begin to describe the interior of the house. It’s a step back in time. I can hardly wait to spend more time relaxing at this lovely Victorian Bed & Breakfast.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Thank You Jane and Skip! - Warm and inviting, our hosts even took time to engage in the breakfast table conversation. The food was delish and substantial. The house was comfy and homey with rich interiors. History and stimulating visuals everywhere, even the ceilings. Many guests would prefer a car as it's almost a mile to the light rail. And a grab bar would be a good idea for the Virginia Mason room's tub/shower.
- Scott (10/5): - For us the location was great and the room was electic fu .
- Lori (10/5): - I enjoyed talking and having breakfast before setting off for a fun day in Tacoma. It was a great location.
- Jerelyn (10/5): - This house inside and out is in super great shape thanks to the efforts of the owners. The garden is full and very well-maintained. I would like to stay there again when I make another trip to the area. One of the city buses stops nearby and then goes downtown. There's a great pizza place within easy walking distance.
- Nicholas (10/5): - Fantastic, historic B and B! Great hosts, wonderful breakfast and enjoyable accommodations. We highly recommend this enchanting B and B.
- Felice (10/5): - I liked everything from the gorgeous Victorian house, its comfortable accommodations, the delicious breakfasts where conversations with the other guests were always interesting to getting to know the gracious hosts. A perfect Tacoma visit!!! And I could go on and on about what Tacoma has to offer: 3 world class museums, a modern zoo, spectacular waterfront (don’t miss Owen Beach), parks, etc.
- Peter (10/5): - All was good. The old Victorian house was cute with ancient forefathers watching our every step. If there were ghosts in the house, they were definitely benign.
The breakfast was a little too small with few options, perhaps, but I loved the coffee and the owners were sweet. We would definitely stay there again!
- Michael (10/5): - I wish could have stayed longer. Quick trip, did not have time to relax and enjoy the place. Jane was very nice and I thought the Amy room was awesome.
- Ronald (10/5): - Wonderful experience. Thanks, Jane & Skip!
- Terry (10/5): Wonderful gem of a place! - This place is a little gem! The owners Skip & Jane are just wonderful people-so kind, generous, welcoming and friendly.
We stayed in Alice’s Room which was decorated tastefully in 1940’s style.
Unfortunately we could only manage 1 nights stay due to a busy vacation itinerary but wished we could’ve stayed longer.
I highly recommend this hotel.
- Edward (10/5): - the house is a lovely old victorian manse, but accommodations inside were great. Jane and Skip your hosts could not have been nicer. Baby the dog was also a sweetheart. Loved the serene garden in the back ( okay, I took a nice nap back there) Loved the French toast, and the bed was comfy.
- Susanne (10/5): - Beautiful B&B, delightful owners.
- Dean (10/5): - Wonderful owners, antiques, collections, space, and food.
- John (10/5): - Great place to stay!
- Howell (10/5): - A very unique experience. A lot of effort has gone into this property by the owners. Breakfast was delicious.
- Lyle (10/5): - Such a beautiful old Victorian house. Jane and Skip were such wonderful hosts. The coffee was great. Although I don’t eat breakfast the food served to the other guests looked fantastic. I will be staying again in the future.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quaint Victorian Inn - My daughter and I stayed a night while visiting Tacoma and going on the Stadium HS tour. Jane and Skip were perfect hosts and have done wonders to restore this house (built in 1899) by filling it with decor that highlights its history. When entering it takes one back in time and provides an experience in and of itself. The breakfast was a perfect end to the stay where chatting with the owners and other guests provided a pleasant start to the day.
- ben (10/5): - The hosts were great and the residence was really cool. Stay here if you get a chance
- judith (10/5): - Excellent home in all aspects. Room is terrific
- Sean (10/5): - Beautiful Victorian house, our suite was lovely and Jane was warm and welcoming
- Tara (10/5): Welcoming hosts in a beautiful historic home - The hosts were welcoming, the bed was comfy, the breakfast was tasty, and the house was beautifully decorated and appointed. The perfect stay!
- Dimitre (8/5): - We had a great experience and really enjoyed our stay. The hosts are very nice and provided tasty breakfast in unique environment resembling the Victorian era. They have nice collections of old and antique items.
Including several antique clocks which are quite interesting.
Though here is the only one pet peeve I have: It was somewhat annoying hearing the clock gongs at night when trying to fall asleep. The chime is not very loud but could be bothering, especially in this relatively quiet neighborhood with not too much street noise.
- Rayna (10/5): - This was of the highlights of our trip. We stayed in 6 places during our stay in Washington and Oregon and this was the best place! The hosts were so kind, knowledgeable about area and made a great breakfast! Would love to come back here my partner and I enjoyed ourselves so much, the B&B was so gorgeous and had so many cute touches. We were sad that we only stayed one night. The area is quiet and safe and there is lots of street parking.
- Walter (10/5): - It was run by a very lovely couple.
- Gwen (10/5): - Our room was comfortable and was nicely decorated. The hosts were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious.
- Kristen A (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home very much. The hosts were kind and hospitable and breakfast was excellent. Our room and bed were very comfortable, and we especially loved the painted murals.
- Rachel (10/5): - This was an amazing place to stay. Jane and Skip were incredible hosts and truly made us feel welcome in their home. It was such a unique and beautiful home and far exceeded any expectations we had. The breakfast they gave us was delicious and it was a wonderful opportunity to sit and chat with our hosts and learn more about the area and things to do there.
- Clint (10/5): - Nice place that is like stepping back in time
- Jonathan (10/5): - An incredible historic property wonderfully furnished with period pieces. The owners are enthusiastic and wonderful hosts
- David (10/5): - The host and hostess were delightful. Property was amazing--overflowing with history and ambience.
- Michael (10/5): - The owners Jane and Skip are a lovely friendly couple, very welcoming
- apple2 (10/5): - The owner and family here are very knowledgeable and friendly, and the home is gorgeous! Great place to visit!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - : ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
- Lydia (8/5): Museum quality, great breakfast, good bed - Beautifully renovated Victorian inside and out. We wanted to stay in the north slope area. The hosts were very nice. The bed was great, comfortable and bedroom very clean. The house and furnishings were museum quality. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.
Some notes: Parking is not on site, it is street parking and you might find yourself half a block away. Also the house itself is above street level there are stairs to the front door.
The house is a three story, our room was on the 3rd floor, so lots of stairs and if you have heavy/many bags. Well be forewarned.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - All B&B properties we've booked are physically quite similar. What generally sets them apart are the unique personalities of the owner/operators. Jane and Skip were wonderful hosts.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was Very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. I also appreciated that we were able to set the time for breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful home! - We felt very welcome in this beautiful home. The breakfast was delicious and our hosts very gracious. Everywhere you look, there is something interesting to see. It was just a short drive to the Convention Center.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location, very nice room, great staff/owners.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This B&B was above what we had expected and the hosts were awesome. The concert we were headed for was cancelled and the hosts were concerned and accommodating. The breakfast was more than anticipated and delicious. We were asked upon check-in if we had nutritional needs and if we wanted coffee or some other breakfast drink. The complimentary chocolate chip cookies and bottled water was a nice touch, as was the Almond Roca on the bed.
- John (10/5): - Comfortable & cozy with some quirky decorations. The owners are a lovely couple who were very accommodating of my circumstances.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful Victorian full of period pieces and fascinating radio, camera and clock collections.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable stay in lovely Victorian home - Skip and Jane are great hosts. Fresh cookies and bottled water are complimentary, and the breakfast was very nice. We were in the Yellow Room, on the third floor. Of course no elevator in this lovely old home, but that was not a problem for us. WiFi worked well. We got back after 10 pm and couldn't figure out the TV - didn't want to bother them at that time of night. Only one other small issue with the room - the bathroom door is a bifold and doesn't fully cover the space when extended. So not a lot of privacy. Other than that, the bathroom is nicely updated. Not sure if the bathroom doors on the other rooms are similar. No designated parking area but didn't have a problem finding street parking right out front.
- Karen (10/5): - We stayed in the Virginia Mason Suite and it was incredibly beautiful. All of the furnishings were from the Victorian era like the rest of the house. The breakfasts were delicious and the hosts were very accommodating. Jane and Skip were wonderful during our stay and we felt just like we were at home with family. I highly recommend staying here if you are vacationing in the Seattle/Tacoma area!
- Stan (10/5): - Wonderful place to stay. The hosts are great people - so friendly amd welcoming.
- Verified traveler (8/5): We would stay again - We had a great stay in Tacoma. The bed at the Geiger Victorian was THE BEST!! So comfortable. Room was a bit cramped - low ceilings on the outer walls - and up three flights of narrow stairs, but we enjoyed our stay there. The owners were very kind and took good care of us. Breakfast was good.
- Lance (10/5): - Jane and Skip keep a wonderfully appointed home and it was awesome to stay there for a few nights! The painted ceilings were simply spectacular, and each room was decorated in its own unique and completely awesome way. We marveled at the antiques, enjoyed the craftsmanship of such an old home, and loved staying here. And breakfast was a real treat with fresh fruit and crepes. :)
- David (10/5): - This Victorian style B & B has been meticulously renovated, and the antiques make you feel like you're in a museum. But it was still so comfortable and natural you didn't want to leave. Skip and Jane were the consummate hosts and were easy to talk to, like you've known them for years. Overall, a fantastic getaway and I look forward to visiting again soon.
- Margaret (10/5): A Victorian gem - Stayed for 2 nights with my daughter in Green Gables room. We had a traffic delayed so did not arrive until after 11.30. We telephoned ahead and made arrangements for our arrival. Jane left instructions and asked requests for breakfast. They were good with us being 1 vegetarian and 1 gluten and dairy free. Her pancakes were heavenly. Service was good and young Rosie their granddaughter who served us was a delight. Room was comfortable and clean. The house was quaint and historical. I would have liked kettle to make a drink when we arrived late or the chance to have a coffee in bed in the morning. They were interested in your stay and gave us some usual advice. It was safe. Point defiance worth a visit.
