Guest Reviews
- Robyn (8/5): Excellent location and facilities. -
- Jonathan (1/5): Won’t stay ever again - Nothing Room was dated, very dated. Curtains didn’t cover windows, unpleasant smell, bathroom looks like original. Certainly not worth the price
- Katerin (6/5): -
- Riddle (6/5): All necessities provided, except TV hard to operate - Mostly convenient Up a hill— concern for snow, but readily plowed
- Nuala (6/5): Served the need for a one night stay - No breakfast available Lack of contact with a live desk person either for check-in or checkout
- Susan (10/5): - I wish I could remember the lovely girl who helped us at the front desk on Tuesday night. We had trouble with our GPS and she was so helpful on the phone she made us feel very comfortable that we would find the location. When we arrived she was very welcoming, we had an issue with the TV and she came right in and fixed it very happily. Gave us a great recommendation for dinner and the breakfast, that worked out great. She was very welcoming and an excellent employee, I think you're lucky to have her! The exterior was a little shoddy and I don't think it had a terrific view because we were on the bottom floor. Parking was convenient so... That was great
- Anthony (5/5): - Cleanliness was good Most of the place is dated. Rotted wood steps. Only the floors have been updated in the room.
- Jarrett (9/5): I was very satisfied. Cleanest hotel room ever! - Did not know about breakfast but left before 7 when office closed Softer mattress
- Jay Winn (8/5): -
- Juan (10/5): -
- Gayle (10/5): Would def recommend and will use again - Clean, friendly, good location. Hand rail had bird droppings. Stairs in need of some repair but sturdy.
- Robert (10/5): -
- Christina (10/5): - Clean, comfortable room. Check in was easy.
- Ronal (10/5): Just Right - Just right, quiet, clean, close to food, beverage and areas of interest
- Ellen (8/5): Good value, clean. Couldn't find any ice machine. - No breakfast. Broken light switch. Need more than 1 coffee packet.
- Ronald (8/5): - NAT

- Kathleen (10/5): - The room was very clean and looked like it had been recently renovated. The bed and linens were excellent. The exterior needs updating but overall experience very good.
- John (8/5): -
- John (6/5): - It was just a room with a refrigerator, microwave, water you had to run for awhile to clear the sediment. No written material such as a TV channel guide at all in the room.
- Gary (8/5): Good stay - The room was small but still acceptable and clean. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the bathroom was OK. Despite issues with the TV and air conditioner, the managers Rod and Noor were terrific and quick to respond. It was a half hour drive to Tanglewood. I would stay here again on a future trip.
- Carolina (4/5): - Outdoor seating space was dirty, tables were dusty inside, door lock was old and did nod look safe, moldy waffles in the freezer. Room smelled of old drawers. One bed sheet was lightly stained. Shower had no head.
- Barbara (6/5): - The room was small but
- Christine (10/5): - Chatham Travel lodge was well situated for our trip further north. The area is beautiful. The town of Chatham is close by with restaurants and shopping. The guests in the room above us were noisy for a while, but not after 10 pm. The lodge is old, but the room was clean and perfect for a one night stopover.
- John (10/5): - The scenery. And did not like the busy road
- John (10/5): - Nice views. Road was not safe to crosd.
- Carey (1/5): -
- Sandra (8/5): Great value especially for an overnite travellet - Quiet, clean, lovely staff, GREAT VALUE, an honest 2 *
- Edward (10/5): - Great comfortable stay. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable.
Only complaint is that the electric car chargers were broken. Wasn't a huge deal, but call ahead if you need them to confirm they are working.
- Scott (8/5): - Older, but very nice
- Oleh (10/5): - Nice and quiet
- Russell (8/5): Great place and location...everything was good...but the bed mattress was very difficult to sleep on - No breakfast was provided. The room was very clean. However the platform bed was so hard it was very difficult to sleep.
- Lorraine (10/5): - Check in was easy and there was lots of parking. The room was quiet with the A/C already on which was great in the heat wave we were in. The curtains were truly blackout curtains which was great for sleeping. I read other reviews saying the beds were hard but the beds in this room were totally comfortable. Lots of outlets for electronics and good Wifi.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Needs work - Very rural area, nice country. Chose the place for the price and location. Bed was hard as a rock but I slept well anyway. Room was decently clean. The exterior of the building needed a serious power-washing, very dusty dirty and there a lot of rotting wood. Maybe they just bought the place and they're trying to get up to speed, I don't know. Probably wouldn't stay again.
- Juliet (10/5): Just what I needed. - Very clean. Comfortable. All you need, not fancy. Affordable.
- Denis (8/5): Good place to stay - Hotel was nice and clean, owners are nice.
- Daniel (8/5): - The staff attack in was very nice. The room looked like it was just refreshed and the bathroom was new and clean. It was a great location for our event at Tanglewood. The only issue was the bed, it was very hard and we had a terrible night sleep.
- Peter (7/5): Overall a clean & safe stay - Location and price
Bed was comfortable Needs more work on outside stairs and painting
Bathroom could use a refresh
- Kelye (4/5): - Brown water.
- stacey (8/5): - Overnight star for cross country trip. Lovely area in Hudson Valley off the beaten parh. A littlevdated, but clesn, comfortable, and quiet. Pet friendly plus for fee.
- Gary (8/5): - This place was like a blast from the past! An externally older (but modern inside the rooms) roadside motel. Loved the vibe!
- Mindy (10/5): - Cute little inn on our way through. Bed was a bit hard but other than that, we slept well after a day of traveling.
- Greg (8/5): Very good - very clean and welcoming
- Ray (10/5): - Close to hudson chatHm andancram
- Victoria (10/5): - This was an overnight stop for our trip to Cape Cod. Last year we stayed at a terrible establishment, and I wanted to make sure we didn't have a repeat of that experience. We breathed a sigh of relief when we pulled up the driveway hill. The building, while "vintage" was in good condition and the grounds and view were absolutely stunning. The place just had a very nice homey vibe. Again, I would call this place vintage. Nothing fancy, but it's clean, had no weird or bad odors, the bathroom was clean, the floors were clean and not sticky. The bed and bath linens were clean, fresh, and without tears, holes, burn marks or stains. The beds were fairly comfortable. The pillows were a little on the meager side, but there were 3 of them and I was able to make do. The manager was absolutely delightful and friendly. We were traveling with 2 lrg breed dogs, and chose this place because it is pet friendly. Again, not a fancy place. It's vintage, clean, and pet friendly. The views and area are gorgeous. This place reminds me of somewhere I would have stayed while vacationing with my parents back in 1972 (yup, I'm that old!). Highly recommend Chatham Travel Lodge!
- Kennel (8/5): Very good - Nice place. Clean and fairly comfortable. The room had what needed The toilet paper dispenser was very hard to reach. Squished up against my body. Needs to be put across from the seat
- Stephanie (8/5): We enjoyed our stay. We had an upstairs room. Noise was pretty quiet. - It was clean and an easy check in process. The beds are not comfortable nor the pillows.
- Brian (8/5): - Nice folks. Clean rooms
- Barbara (10/5): Exceptional - It was small, just what we were looking for. A mom & pop place. We loved it!
- Breck (10/5): - Very conveniently located, clean and affordable
- Amina (6/5): Pleasant - Convenient location along the way The toilet was not working well. . The pile of garbage outside of
- Lori (10/5): - Rooms were spacious, very clean and had a refrigerator and microwave. And the price was very reasonable! The only improvement would be better coffee and coffee maker in the room!
- Andrew (4/5): I picked this place because it was the closets to my client. But it was disappointing for the price - It was easy to check in The bed and pillows are basically hard and flat. If you can't sleep on a hard bed you need to look somewhere else. Pillows were flat and hard.
The shower head basically sputtered out water.
- Robert (8/5): - This was my first time staying here. It’s a throwback to the 60’s/70’s when my family would go on vacation. They’ve done a good job in upgrading the bathroom, TV & WiFi and installed a manufactured wood floor getting rid of the who know’s what you find in much more expensive motels. This isn’t 5-star Hilton, but you get a that throw-back/cozy feeling of years past. Pricing is commensurate with what you get. Will definitely cone back when in the area!
- Agnes (8/5): Would recommend, - Friendly staff, very clean, easy access off the
inter state. Microwave and fridge
- Montanez (10/5): Exceptional -
- ADRIANE (10/5): Clean, warm, cozy! - This is a very clean, no-frills spot to get a hot shower, sleep in a clean bed, catch up on old movies on TCM! We enjoyed ourselves! I love the old motels so you can park right in front of your room, plus our dog was welcome!
- Deirdre (10/5): Great stop - Great hospitality and communication. They stayed late to check us in.
- Renee (10/5): - Property was great
- Deborah (4/5): Disappointing - The bed was excruciatingly uncomfortable. It was impossible to sleep with the loud guests placed above our room when there were hardly any other guests at the motel.
- Rene (10/5): Gracious owners, spotless rooms, excellent value! - Charming and clean.
- William (10/5): - Great place, simple and well managed. I travel coast to coast not enough places like this.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic staff!!! - Staff were amazing and went above and beyond! Will definitely stay here again when visiting family!
- James (6/5): Pleasant -
- C (9/5): Superb -
- Steven (6/5): Does the job - This little hotel did the job - it was conveniently located and comfortable enough. And it was clean, except for anywhere a vacuum didn’t easily fit. The floor between the beds and nightstand was disgusting and I left with many more flea bites than I would have preferred.
- Anderson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ashley (7/5): Good - The bed was extremely uncomfortable
- Sandra (10/5): Excellent value in a quaint little hotel. - Quiet, 2 min drive off interstate. Nice village restaurant nearby
- Patty (8/5): Very good - location
- Carlton (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (10/5): - Clean and comfortable. Staff pleasant helpful and attentive.
Should have grab bars in shower and instructions to operate TV.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good stay - Older motel with an updated interior. All the basic necessities provided. Very nice staff.
- marcella (8/5): Warm and comfortable environment - The mattress was comfortable and clean floors and bathroom definitely a nice stay for the trip we took for a wedding.
The service when we arrived was pleasant
- nigel (8/5): - Super clean travel lodge , easy check in with nice front desk person
- Victoria (8/5): Weekend getaway - Comfortable, beds were very firm. Very quiet.
- Thomas (10/5): - Old style motor lodge with modern interior updates
- Hannah (8/5): Very good - Friendly staff, cosy and clean.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Would stay here again. Basic and older but clean and well kept. Easy check in/out.
- Jim (9/5): Superb -
- Jeffrey (10/5): Excellent stay - Hotel was clean, comfortable, quiet, quaint, well appointed, and adorable. Staff was professional, friendly and helpful. Excellent location, close to alot. No complaints would highly recommend and definitely stay there again
- Rachel (5/5): Passable - There was no breakfast. It was close to the highway so that was good. It was very clean and I appreciate the microwave and refrigerator The bed was too firm. Most worrisome was the leak that started from the bathroom ceiling. It dripped on me as I sat on the toilet. It being after 11pm there was nothing I could do other than call and leave a message. I don’t think they ever heard the message because the person I checked out with the next day did not know about it.
- Peter (1/5): Bad - Nothing - we paid 400$ for 2 shabby rooms with no service. Completely out of market in terms of value for money. Everything for such amount of money
- Mark (9/5): Clean, comfortable room - Clean, comfortable room, no complaints
- Madison (8/5): - Loved our 1 night stay at the Chatham Travel Lodge! We got what we paid for and that was a clean room with enough space and amenities for us all!
- Paula (9/5): Quaint, quiet and reasonably priced. - Beautifully situated on top of a hill with quite a view. Right off the highway. The birds nesting in the eves outside of room create a mess.
- Jacqueline (8/5): - Very clean, great price.
- ronald (6/5): could be a nice place to stay with some tlc - Bathroom tub hard to drain, dirty shower curtain, bedspread stained. Given a first floor room even though we asked for 2nd fl. First night upstairs noisy from midnight to after 1am so hard to sleep. Price and location were good but you get what you paid for
- Julie (10/5): Wonderful All Around - Such a wonderful roadside motel for our spontaneous weekend getaway.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- jack (10/5): Great getaway - What a great hotel. Friendly staff and great accommodations. Plan on staying here in future trips. Thank you very much
- Edward (7/5): Good value - Location - price - grounds Needs paint in decks, air conditioner covers- barhtubs are dated- but still great place for value
- Michael (6/5): Basic but clean. Friendly staff. - Good location, close to downtown Chatham and the Taconic Parkway. Rooms were clean. Staff was extremely friendly. Rooms were basic with little or no charm. No extra blankets in rooms. Steps from parking lot to first-floor rooms had no bannisters (difficult for older seniors).
- Michael (8/5): - Older quaint motel lodge with a great virw. Clean comfortable but get the lower level if you dont like stairs. Upper level great porch and view.
- Truman (9/5): Superb -
- Sven (8/5): Will stay again! - The room was big, comfortable & clean. Very friendly staff & facilities well kept. A little rough around the edges in terms of remodeling & updates. But didn't affect my stay.
- Paul (9/5): Gem of a motel. Very clean and secure. Big rooms and nice wood floors. Friendly staff. - Great spot to stay on the way to New York, just close enough for a morning arrival. Spotless, clean and big rooms. Women that greeted us was very friendly. Nice view of hills. We will definitely stop here each time we go south. Some people don't like the train sounds at night, only about 3 passing, not next door but close enough. Me... it actually helped me sleep, drowned out my wife's snoring when they passed long enough to get to sleep!
- Ed (10/5): - Stayed here one night for a quick stay. Was ultra impressed with this hotel. Would wholeheartedly recommend.
- Grace (9/5): Clean well appropriated room pleasant staff - The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean. The mattresses were firm and probably new, but the older spring variety. Comfortable as long as you like very firm. The room had a nice in room fridge. Microwave and coffee pot. A full gas station mini mart directly across the street with excellent coffee. Tables and chairs on covered porch outside the rooms. There were also a few picnic tables in a small grassy area.
A pleasant, clean, and comfortable motel for that area. Not your city large hotel as it would be out of place there. I would stay again. A slightly plusher mattress would have been nicer.
- Tianqi (10/5): - Nice room and friendly staff.
- Andrew (5/5): Passable - Beds and pillows were acceptable, not great
