Guest Reviews
- Kathy (6/5): -
- Grainger (8/5): - Location excellent No car parking allowed but plenty of space?
- Bec Dodson (8/5): Premium Location Devonport - Premium location, opposite buses, ferries to city, cafes, restaurants, library, supermarket. Easy to book, and show up. Quiet. Clean. Quality bed, air-conditioned for warmth and cooling. Safe suburb.. My elderly parents are 81 and 85, and no comfortable furniture. A bed, and kitchen chairs.
The pictures were not of the unit for rent, the pictures were of a unit that was bigger and had a couch.
My parents, who stayed enjoyed tge space, the location and were happy. It's me that was disappointed. Location and heater was perfect for them at their ages.
- Suzie (10/5): Exceptional - Very peaceful quiet unit with private garden yet so close to main shops
- Andrew (8/5): Excellent Accom but no instructions - Lovely smartly furnished garden unit just minutes from ferry. Shops and restaurants (even a cinema 300 meters away) Brilliant air conditioning and very comfortable bed A slight gripe was that we didn't see anyone (owner or manager) the whole time we were there. This would have been fine, had there been instructions for instance how often the room was cleaned, where do get loo paper etc. Learned most stuff from previous reviews but a welcome pack would have been helpful
- Keith (8/5): great location - Being Able to walk to the cafes Not being able to park in driveway
- Alexandra (8/5): Very good -
- Laura (7/5): Good - Nice and quiet. It had everything we needed to cook, and the bed was wonderful . Also loved that it had Netflix for wind down time. Overall, I'm happy with our stay. Shower was abit grubby needed a proper clean still had soap scum in corners and on little shelf. Needed some extra towels as we stayed two nights. Having no off st parking was frustrating at times.
- Stephen (8/5): Great peaceful stay in a charming area of Auckland close to all amenities. - Compact clean studio appartment excellently located for shops, beaches and ferry into Auckland. Great historic cinema round the corner. Plenty of eateries in this charming characterful area of Auckland. Easy free parking in the street. Quite compact if you have a lot of luggage.
- Byron (8/5): Relaxing stay - Excellent location but quiet area, lovely outside space, very comfortable bed and a great shower.
- Ron and Sandy (10/5): - We loved our accommodation. Very peaceful!
- Jackie (9/5): Would definitely stay again - Location, comfortable bed, great shower
- Celia (7/5): Good - Itβs a quiet garden studio near to the ferry and restaurants in Devonport The check in was difficult with no one around to give us a key and no email or text to let us know what to do to get a key
- Gina (8/5): Very good - Great location. Private and very quiet. No milk or sugar. Half opened box of Dillmah tea. Black mould on the blinds in the kitchen.
- Dwyer (4/5): Very Disappointed. - Location TV not working properly. Dirty Coffee cups in cupboard. Not washed, not enough toilet paper. A weed was growing out of wall by bathroom sink. No room servicing, No one call about issues, no one onsite
- Fiona (10/5): Loved our stay, parking was sorted for us, quiet and clean - Fantastic location
Friendly helpful
- Kerry (4/5): Disappointed - Location was excellent Ants in the kitchen spider webs

- Jay.c130 (9/5): Great location and comfortable room - The location is ideal for anything at the end of the North Shore peninsular. Room was compact comfortable and warm. No road nise so I had a good night's sleep. The kitcheneette was well appointed.
- Neil (9/5): If youβre looking for something a bit different close to the heart of Devonport then this is a great choice - Great location and unique unit
- Katie (8/5): - Love staying here, so convenient to what I need. However, the element provided was broken, only discovered this when we went to cook breakfast the next morning we satyed. Otherwise a lovely stay away Highly recommend!!
- Richelle (9/5): Superb -
- Philip (9/5): Superb - Did not see the owner or manager at check-in, which was a bit strange, or at any other time. We knew where we could get clean towels etc but otherwise we were left to our own devices - almost like having a private apartment.
- Camila (8/5): Very good -
- Anthony (9/5): great stay - location and quite nothing
- Lina (9/5): Superb -
- Gavin (9/5): Superb -
- Merle (9/5): Superb -
- Deborah (10/5): perfect for our needs - location & comfort NA
- Afamasaga (10/5): Exceptional -
- Allan (6/5): - comfy bed, great shower but could have done with more towels and bathroom mat, not enough shower gel/soap for three days. Toilet cistern needs the attention of a plumber, shower cubicle needs shelves or shower caddy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A quaint place but no services offered. Walking distance to shops. Parking is an issue if you have a big vehicle as no street parking. Need to arrange parking with the other unit .
- Renata (6/5): Great Location but needs a lot of improvement - This motel consisted of two attached self contained rooms. They had a small kitchenette, shower, small table and of course the bed. The TV was ridiculous sitting on a low table at the foot of the bed so you could not watch it. They advertised 'free parking' and when we arrived there was a car already in the driveway and we had to park in the street in a limited 2 hour zone. After calling one of the owners the car was moved and we could park there however it is a tandem space and would be difficult if the other unit had a car as well. Other than that there is street parking and if you are lucky you can get an all day spot but they are limited so really to advertise 'free parking' is not quite right. We stayed two nights and I expected the room to be serviced however when asking the owner who happened to be outside supervising digging up the concrete outside our unit (thats another story) she seemed rather vague and said the cleaner would be there tomorrow, however she did say she would make the bed etc. and she was true to her word and tidied the unit but I should not have had to ask. It just all seemed a bit of a mish mash and needs more work to bring it up to scratch.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I really liked this place. Quiet and safe getaway. Would stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I liked all the little extras. Like bread etc wine, chocolate. I was very spoilt sad Diane took me to my venue and picked me up. The family were very pleasant. Thanks to Abbi she was very welcoming.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very peaceful setting, but limited sitting area. Well located for central Devonport and the ferry to Auckland.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Close proximity to shopping centre and very private little apartment.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location, Great price, Very quiet area, Will definately stay again
- David (8/5): - Perfect for a night away from the big city.
We have always had a soft spot for Devonport but like Auckland it has lost much of it's charm.
- Jo (8/5): Great location - Lovely quaint cottage room
Off street parking
Awesome location
- Lee (10/5): Safe Haven - I was on an overnight business trip, travelling to Waiheke the next morning. This place's location is perfect for the ferry and local town. Prue, the owner, is very accommodating without all the unnecessary fuss. Great chalet type accomodation hidden away, with nice little seating area outside the room. Room was very clean and tidy, a home from home. I stay away a lot with my job, all over the North Island, and I can honestly say that this was the most safe I've felt in all the places I've stayed. Would defo stay here again and again! Thanks Prue :)
- John (10/5): Lovely unit - Comfortable unit in garden setting, just one block from Devonport CBD, Being one of only two units, quiet and peaceful. Owners very obliging.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location - Self check in and early which was great
Easy walk to shops, restaurants and ferry
Compact studio but all that we required
Great shower
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to stay - Was a great place to stay while I was visiting Auckland. Lovely quiet area.
- chris (8/5): Wonderful location, very quaint - We really enjoyed our overnight stay. Huge storm so the windows rattled a bit but to be expected in the older style accommodation.
- p (10/5): Great hotel. Great tidy room and close to town. - Great service. Great hotel. Very tidy and has a beautiful lawn
