Guest Reviews
- Regine (2/5): - If possible to get a refund in this location, as the room was very dirty, smells like urine we even brought our own albatross just to get by but we cannot stay anylonger and we checked out at 4am as the noise was unbearable. It started 10pm and did not even stopped until we checked out. Terrible experience hoping that this review improves their business.
- Noel (4/5): - I booked online and the room reserved for me looks very different from the pictures. Terrible.
- Charlene Faye (10/5): - Nice
- Floryval (6/5): - You get what you pay for. Staff are friendly and courteous. The only thing I didn't like was they keep turning off the power in the room. Water pressure was teribbke.
- John (2/5): - The room was so warm and uncomfortable. The restrooms are so dirty.
- Lorena (8/5): - Best customer service 👏
- Verified traveler (4/5): - N/A
- Realyn (2/5): - The staff are very accommodating but the place is dirty the room is not peoperly clean there are cockroaches everywhere the beddings is very old and dirty
- Tommy (8/5): - It's a typical Philippines cheat rate motel, no hot water but staff was very friendly. If your not accustomed to lifestyle in a third world country, this is not the place for you. If your a world traveler looking for cheap, I could recommend this place. If your old and don't do stairs, this is definitely not your motel. So keep in mind, just because it's in the name, it's not really for pension people.
- Luis (6/5): 3 nights st OB - Positive: good location for intended purpose, great amenities, new annex building, friendly staff.
Negative: No lifts, leaking tap, bad bathroom design, noisy, no telephone in room, poor tv reception, noisy aircon, bed bug
- Analyn (2/5): - I have no booking here.! They are FULLY BOOKED. I already reported your service.
- Ivy (10/5): - the place is budget friendly.. very helpful and accomodating staff esp the front desk and housecleaning staff.. the room we stayed in for two weeks was room 302A at the third floor and it was satisfying..if ur not so sensitive i think ull like the place..
- Gladys (8/5): Windows with locks - I had a solo bed in a room with fan (Room 517) But windows are locked and it was so hot. I struggled with heat, reported to staff and were very helpful in opening the windows. Had a better air from outside coming in. Managed to get some sleep.
- Rosita (10/5): - Thank you for a nice place to stay
- Chilla (8/5): - the location is in the city.
- Jayvee (10/5): - Best Hotel when you are a traveller
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location was at the center of the city
- Verified traveler (6/5): Fair price for an overnight stay - It’s ok for just an overnight stay, so don’t expect too much amenities
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Near the city
- Verified traveler (8/5): - the Comfort rooms do not have bidet..
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Accessibility
- Nancy (8/5): - The place is accessible for foods and transportation.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - a step away from the malls and a few meters away to ortiz warf, best to stay when visiting guimaras island, with a very accomodating staff
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No hot water for the shower
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room is clean but its too far. Its on the 5th floor and i have to walk thru stairs from 1st to 5th floor. Its not relaxing at all.
- Joseph (8/5): - Likes:
1. Economical
2. Location is accessible to malls, market and transportaion.
3. Clean
4. Service is satisfactory
For Improvement:
1. Towels are old as in old, dirty white.
2. One Sofa in the lobby, need to be replaced. Dirty, too old and need for makeover, not presentable to guests, especially to foreigners.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - very clean and the room was spacious, very good place to stay
- Javier_Aris (8/5): - This place is good for a low cost budget accomodation,For single, Couple or Groupie they have a place for you, not so much with the amenities., the canteen however is kinda cheap but taste awesome. If you prefer some local delicacies or home cook food theres a lot of resto when you go outside, better ask the staff and they will guide you. All staff are great and generous. Over all! my stay for 3 days is good but not very good.
- jopanjo (4/5): - too small. no elevator
- Verified traveler (2/5): - No available parking. Service is extremely slow. We had to wait for more than 20 minutes for our checkout, just to be humiliated by their staff yelling that our room is missing an extra towel that they never issued in the first place. We ended up having to show them the contents of our bag while we are running late for a hearing.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Affordable and located in the city proper
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Service is good. Generally the pension house is okay. Even the food is good. For what I did not like, the bathroom mat is dirty.
- Ceasar (8/5): - Great
- PEDRO (10/5): FEEL AT HOME @ ONG BUN - I WAS GLAD I WAS ABLE TO STAY AT ONG BUN PENSION HOUSE, I FELT AT HOME. STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND ALWAYS SMILING. WILL RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO OTHERS.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - ✓Easy transpo access
✓Staff are helpful
✓24 hrs service desk
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location. Good for its value. Next room occupants were noisy
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The staff are nice and accommodating but the room details posted on-line differs from the real picture...so sad
- aj (10/5): - The room is very good and it was a memorable stay for us. The food is super delicious and affordable. However, rooms don’t have it’s own telephone. You need to go out of the room and proceed to the mini lobby because the telephone is there. So when you need to call for room service or order food you will walk out of your room just to do that. Quite disappointing but still we will spend the night again there! Very affordable!!!
- Ron (10/5): - Smooth processing when checking in. Staff and it's other personnel provide me a friendly relationship during my stay. Keep up the good work. I will come back and stay here again in the future.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - KEEP IT UP
- PJ (8/5): - I like the location,
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Pretty basic
- Regine Anne (8/5): Good Value - The location of the pension house was accessible to every known location in Iloilo. Public transportation are also accessible. What really drawn me to this accommodation is the price. It is really within the price range of budget travelers.
One thing to note is that the accommodation does not have an elevator, which can be an issue for people who have problems with their knees just like my mom. Other than that, our stay was really good.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - :( . . . . . .
- Hahahah (4/5): - Just ok staff is ok
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I love their cafeteria. It's clean and they offer affordable and delicious combo meals.
- Ro (4/5): - Disappointed... Because of the cockroach, dirty sheets, dirty room floors, dusty cabinets...and because i chose the fan room....dusty fan also.. Dirty common toilet...staff is not approachable..
- Maja (10/5): Satisfied - We stayed there for 4nights and we are very satisfied. You can request your room to be cleaned everyday and they will also change your towel everyday. Its location is also good because access to transportation like jeepneys pass around the area. Robinsons Mall is just one block away.
- gina (8/5): Nice location - The hotel is access to all its located in center of the city , nice location ,clean
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location - good price
- Roxan (8/5): Ok to stay for a night - Not bad for budget traveller
- Kristine Ann (6/5): Ong Bun Stay - I'm very happy with the price, location, and the food served in Ong Bun. There's free water and the staffs are very efficient. The fees on room extension is also cheap.
However, it seems like they don't change the bed sheet and the pillow cases. The ventilation in the room is very poor especially in the fan room. The executive room has a terrible smell. It seems like somebody smoked and the smell was all over the bathroom. This will make people sick. I think they should do something about it.
- Shadow (2/5): - Not good place to stay
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very Upset With My Room - I am upset with my room. There has been no available for executive room which I prefer because it would give me some privacy and comfort that I need but no available at that time so I booked a fan room with shared bathroom. The room is situated at the topmost floor beside the window which is very hot as if the exhaust has been released thru my room. Very inconvenient on my part. I hope there is an available executive room for me next time. Thanks
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I cancelled my reservation in this pension house last week of march due to rescheduled business n venue please reconsider my refund ..
- Ra Gene (8/5): - An excellent stay attending a 3 days conference.
- Asisclo III (6/5): Giournatto - You have to make sure the internet connection is working in the room. Old television and dusty windows
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Convenient place to stay and affordable. The staff are good and accomodating.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean amenities
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Its a good place to stay while attending conferences in Iloilo
- Verified traveler (6/5): - ACCOMODATING STAFF
- Verified traveler (8/5): Recommended for long stay - Fine. They clean the room and replace the linens and bath towel daily (this is what I like). Replace also tissue paper when no more. Need to improve on the smell of the bath towel & linens (use more scented fabcon I guess). Receptionist are friendly. Food taste good (we ate breakfast)
Undergoing renovation during our stay.
- romeo (8/5): Great... - Great location..
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The place is ok. Very budget friendly. But still, there are still amenities they need to give to customers.
- david (10/5): Excellent - Excellent all round stay
- Philip (8/5): bidet on toilet - no bidet no blowdry or hot shower at the double room but make a bidet pls

- david (10/5): Excellent all round stay - Excellent all round stay
- david (10/5): Excellent all round stay - Excellent all round stay
- david (10/5): Excellent - Excellent Stay all round
- Verified traveler (4/5): - No elevator. We were on the 5th floor and we have to climb up & i had to injure because i had my foot sprained before my iloilo trip.
- david (10/5): Excellent - Excellent as Always
- Verified traveler (8/5): - good service.
- REYNA (2/5): Very dirty - The worst hotel I ever stayed at. The room I stayed at was dirty and dusty . The shared bathroom wasn't clean as well. I do get it that its cheap but still there are few hotels with the same price but are much better.
- Baby (2/5): - Old dirty linen. Not change.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Sana may elevator ang building at telephone every room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - room cleanliness and staff
- Hazel (8/5): - We got 3 rooms. The first room was fine, but the other 2 rooms has this weird smell coming from the bathroom. I dont know if its cigarette or not
Aircon working well. Clean sheets and towels. provided us two bars of soap. Tv has cables. Enough space for two. Lobby and hallway not well lit, they need to replace broken lights. But what I like the most is that it is cheap and accessible to public transportation and taxis. Worth the price. You really get what you pay for.
- gina (8/5): smart place to drift the night away - The place is nice and accessible to all routes one likes to take in the city of IloIlo. My complain only is they have no elevator to be used for customers like us the senior citizens
- Verified traveler (10/5): - its very clean and early check in
- Criselda (10/5): - The place was very convenient and cheap.
- RB Rabey (8/5): 8/10 - Good customer service and easy booking.
- Jen (10/5): Vacation - Nice to stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overall pleasant stay. Excellent location. - Very strategic. Plenty of transport options (jeepney) to the port, Miag-ao, Molo and Jaro. Cleanliness could be improved especially the bathroom (saw the staff were trying hard to clean though). Free water dispenser at the lobby. Wifi mostly worked well.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We came here during the Dinagyang Festival. The location is perfect!
If your not picky or fussy the place is okay.
What I dont like here is the Lobby, it needs a new sofa.
Well, it didn't cost much compared to a hotel so you better bring your own toiletries. No hot water too.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Comfortable to stay, near malls.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A good and affordable place to stay at when you're planning on a budget. It's near malls, banks and is walkable when you wanted to tour the downtown of Iloilo City.
- Mhavie Lhu (2/5): Un Happy Hotel - the place and the room wasnt as good as the pictures you see to the commercial adds..
- Yvone (10/5): - It was good
- Glenn (8/5): Good choice - Affordable and conveniently located at the heart of the city.
- Robert (8/5): Great - It’s very pleasant to stay at Ong Bun very easy access to any where. One thing we are couple but we have a separate bed not bad if you are both senior citizen
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Its fine its good... Somewhat accomodating...
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice place to stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): - nice area, accomodating staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I don't expect too much since it's only a budget hostel. For a cheap price, you already have a private room with tv
- Kimberly kile (6/5): - Good and affordable but there was a worm on the bathroom floor 😞
- Sel (10/5): - Nice hotel,nice staff
- Philip (8/5): EXCELLENT LOW BUDGET HOTEL - The staff is very friendly, helpful & efficient. They keep the facility VERY clean. I had to use a community CR/bathroom; however, it was readily available 99% of the time; &, also cleanliness was well maintained. I am an American. I was able to endure 5 nights, in relatively good comfort, with only a wall fan. Down side, no mirrors. Big upside; 389 pesos per night: Perfect for those, whom aren't mAyarte or too self-important. This hotel comes with my very high recommendation. N
Bed sheets, pillow cases & towels changed; &, rooms. Cleaned, daily
