- paul (8/5): Disappointing given the cost! - Clearly high end accommodation, smart & contemporary. Secure parking. Stunning views. Wonderful breakfast! We didn’t find the staff warm and accommodating. We arrived in terrible weather conditions so we weren’t keen to venture out for food but we didn’t have a reservation in the osteria and the hotel wasn’t able to offer any food options onsite which left us to drive to a local supermarket to purchase some light food to have in our room. Given the standard of accommodation and restaurant facilities onsite this was extremely disappointing. It would be so easy to offer light snacks or cheese & charcuterie in the upstairs breakfast area or in the room. We have been travelling extensively throughout Italy and everywhere else has been so helpful and accommodating so it was a great shame to not have the same experience at Aborina Relais.

- Barbara (8/5): Es waren entspannende Tage im Piemont und das Hotel können wir sehr gerne weiter empfehlen. - Die Gartensuite hat uns sehr gefallen. Es gab auch Liegen und einen gemütlichen Garten. Dies war sehr praktisch, da wir zwei Hunde dabei hatten. Die Lage in den Weinbergen war sehr schön. Der Pool war zwar klein, aber zum Abkühlen reichte es. Und auch die Angestellten des Hotels bekommen von uns ein grosses Lob!!! Das Frühstück war ausreichend, aber es bot nicht sehr viel Abwechslung. Vor allem fand ich schade, dass die zusätzlichen Angebote nicht im Preis inbegriffen waren. Das Brotangebot war leider recht bescheiden. Schade fand ich, dass das Abendessen wohl sehr gut sein sollte, aber auch recht teuer. Leider mussten wir deshalb abends immer wieder mit dem Auto ein Restaurant suchen gehen, da in der Zwischensaison noch nicht so viele Restaurants offen hatten oder erst von Donnerstag weg.

- Rosanne (10/5): This is a wonderful central location in Piedmont that feels like a calm, relaxing oasi. - The property and views were stunning - I loved that it was a small number of rooms and staff were welcoming and accommodating. The spa facilities are also a lovely treat. Nothing! It would be nice to have a small hotel bar. But the fine dining experience in the restaurant + breakfast were both excellent.

Noi non abbiamo utilizzato la SPA. Colazione in linea con tutte le aspettative. Le camere sono centellinate: silenzio e quiete dominano. Camera non enorme ma dotata di ogni confort. Letto perfetto, bagno bene. Balcone gradevolissimo: complice il bel tempo, il caffè sul terrazzino e la vista valgono il viaggio. Il posto ha posizione ideale per un comodo tour di TUTTI i dintorni. Sceglietelo. Tutto ha un prezzo.....
- Alexander (9/5): Wunderschöne Anlage mit viel Liebe zum Detail - Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen mit wunderbarer Weitsicht. Wir haben ein Upgrade erhalten für die Gartensuite, ein schönes grosses Zimmer mit herrlicher Terrasse. Das Auto bekam einen gedeckten Parkplatz, welcher im Preis inkludiert war. Das Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir haben die Ruhe im Hotel sehr genossen. Das Frühstück gabs im "UG" des Restaurants. Es gab ein kleines Büffet, alles weitere musste man bestellen wie Käse, Früchte, Salamie etc. Die Brotauswahl leider sehr bescheiden, es gab nur "Gipfeli" und weisses Brot. Wenn man z.B. einen Pancake wollte, wäre dieser kostenpflichtig gewesen (15 Euro), das fanden wir übertrieben und unverständlich. Das war aber der einzige kleine "Minus"-Punkt des gesamten Aufenthaltes.

For what we paid it felt like there were many additional charges that should have been included in the price. The hotel didn’t have an iron. Reception offered to have house cleaning iron some items for us only to be charge €5 each item when we left. There was a €25 service charge for room service and no water included - only available to purchase from the mini bar. We were also charged again at the hotel for our stay after paying on booking.com

The property is beautiful - the lush surroundings and thoughtful design make for a very luxe and relaxing aesthetic. We stayed in a beautiful suite with a big patio. The staff were all very kind and helpful. We especially appreciated their help in booking multiple wine tastings for us ahead of our visit. We loved the property’s proximity to world class wineries, and that multiple restaurants are within walking distance (two on property, as well as Osteria Veglio down the road). We had an outstanding meal at Osteria Arborina on our last night — the food was inventive and delicious, the staff were friendly and passionate, and the ambiance elevated the experience even further. We would highly recommend this hotel and restaurant!

- Cynthia (9/5): Overall a lovely stay in a beautiful location w/ nice spa! - Nice location close to everything in La Morra (but definitely need a car to get around this whole area). Breakfast was good, but a bit "simple" in the sense that there was no fresh fruit/ cheese/ meats. We enjoyed the yogurt and liked that we could order eggs and bacon from the cook and they were super fresh, as well as your choice of espresso drinks. The croissants were also a nice treat. The room was nice with a great view/ balcony to see the whole area with vineyards and rolling hills. We liked the storage space in the room and they did a thorough job cleaning the room so it felt very fresh when we got back from our day away. We enjoyed the spa a lot (can use it for 90 min per night of the stay) but you need to book ahead of time, so if it is a busy period and you know you want to use the spa, might be good to call them up before your stay to book a slot! We didn't try the restaurant as we had booked another nice restaurant during our stay, but it didn't look like there were many people during the period we were there (early January). Private place to park your car during the evening, super convenient! Overall the staff were very warm, welcoming and kind!! I can second what I have seen in other reviews that the lighting in the bathroom was quite poor/ not so easy to do my makeup in the mornings. Breakfast was good, but a bit "simple" in the sense that there was no fresh fruit/ cheese/ meats. Could expand the selection a bit or have some veggies or potatoes with the eggs. Also a bit strange to charge an extra 15 euros (!!) for pancakes when the room is already quite a healthy cost for the area.

- Valentina (7/5): Good - The location is amazing and the staff is very correct and friendly. We enjoyed the views and the hospitality. The room itself is tiny. It has window doors that provide for an amazing view. However, it was inconvenient that the curtains wouldn’t close fully, so the morning light couldn’t be blocked out. The bathroom deserved a touch up. Within the spa facilities the steam cabin wasn’t working, which was too bad.
- Yulia (10/5): Beautiful hotel, great location & tremendous views! - The property is perfectly located on an elevated hill so each room has amazing views of the rolling hills and vineyards. The hotel is beautifully designed. The pool area is very peaceful. Our room has a gorgeous balcony and floor to ceiling windows - waking up to sunrise over the vineyards was very special! Breakfast was fantastic! And the parking on site is super convenient. The staff were exceptional! They made us feel like we were visiting family, provided us with lots of amazing recommendations and when we were leaving they even gave us a take away bag with water and delicious nuts for the road. And the bag even had a cute tag with our names on it! Loved this experience and would love to come back! The bathroom design is not ideal. There isn’t a lot of light and space to get ready. Cons Water damage / stains running down walls and on artwork as shown in photos; Shower is too small and bathroom poorly designed; The ‘Junior Suites’ are small and not really a ‘Suite’; Food at ‘The Lab’ for aperitivo is terrible and overpriced; The other waiters at ‘The Lab’ are terrible and seem disinterested / incompetent; Mini bar was never re-stocked, instead of restocking they left it and charged us for it nearly every night despite using it once; Told us the terrace restaurant was closed on our last night when it clearly wasn’t - I believe this was an attempt to get us into the more expensive restaurant downstairs. Either way how do you not know if your own restaurant is open?; The restaurant downstairs appears to be struggling which is not surprising given the service at the terrace restaurant; We dined and drank at the hotel every night, had massages at the spa and spent a lot of money here. On the last night of our stay we booked a table at ‘The lab’. When we arrived we said we have a reservation, went to sit and were told we couldn’t sit at any of the tables that were reserved, when we explained we had made a reservation they stared at us blankly and we just sat at a table due to awkwardness. We then ordered wine, water and our first course. After a while the waiter came back and said no more of the wine was left, dropped the wine list on the table and disappeared. No water came out until I asked the other waiter for water. I ordered a different bottle of wine, the mains came out, no wine. 45 minutes after sitting at the table wine finally came out but the first course was cold. The first waiter vanished leaving the female waiter to deal with his mess. Finally he shows his face and we order the second course. Again 45 minutes later the food finally comes out but it was rubbish, clearly rushed and nothing like the food any of the previous nights. When we went to pay they were pulling order dockets out of a bin trying to figure out what we had ordered. A total debacle. I communicated the above with the Hotel. They seem not to care much or to be interested in the feedback. I recommend staying elsewhere. There is very nice accomodation throughout the Langhe area at much more reasonable rates, more authentic and with better service.

Swimming pool was very welcoming in the hot weather. The staff were lovely and breakfast was great with a good choice. Found the whole ambience very peaceful.

We stayed at a junior suite for four nights, very clean and the interior decoration is lovely. Breakfast is super good. We dined several times at the lab bistrot. Very delicious food! The staff is very helpful and friendly . The place is very quiet. Go there for luxury in beautiful surroundings with delicious food just a few steps away.

- Hannah (10/5): A really special stay for our honeymoon - The hotel itself is gorgeous - so many lovely plants and the rooms are really spacious. We loved having breakfast up on the terrace looking out over the vines. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, making dinner reservations for us and finding availability for a wine tasting nearby. We also had a great massage each at the onsite spa and ate at the restaurant - no complaints whatsoever!

- srohrbaugh (10/5): Langhe Luxury - What a fantastic place! Beautifully situated in the hills of La Morra. 360 degree views, stunning landscape and gorgeous property. Location is great for access to all of the main villages. Check in process was seamless and very friendly. We were greeted immediately and shown to our wonderful room. The room had all the amenities we needed. We stayed in room 3, which we highly recommend. Corner room on the top floor offering a large balcony in the front with endless views of the vineyards and mountains and a relaxing patio in the back immersed in the vineyard. Large beautiful living space, ample his and hers closet space, spacious bathroom with heated floors, and plenty of amenities (coffee, tea, mini bar, etc). We loved the nightly turn down service and special treats. Breakfast was held in The Lab Bistro, plenty of selection and beautiful views of the morning sun burning the fog off the vines. Parking is very easy in a secure, gated, covered garage. We did not have time to experience the Spa, but the space was lovely and we will for sure enjoy on our return. We can't wait to visit again! Thank you for the warm hospitality and lovely stay.

- RobertO654 (8/5): Great place to stay, services needs to improve - We were back after 2 years in Arborina. The place is still very nice. Excellent and spacy rooms, a small but nice pool and spa. Beautifully located in the middle on the vineyards. Not cheap but prices are ok for what you get. You can park your car inside and covered. The breakfast is excellent, lot of choices, partly buffet en partly a la carte. You can also have an easy lunch at the bistro, good food and reasonable priced. So why still 4 stars and not 5? The staff is friendly but not very efficient and sometimes not very competent. Breakfast service is slow and they keep on making mistakes. Reception service is nice, but outside an excellent head of reception, the rest of the staff does not know a lot, bookings for restaurants are complex and if you ask questions about activities they look at you if you ask something very complex. It's not so hard to tell guests where the local markets are on which day, but this is asked too much. Again, not unfriendly but not very competent.
- go2somewhere (10/5): Best hospitality ever - This is perhaps the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The room was small (we had the smallest room), but had everything we needed. It came with a small kitchenette. We had a small mishap where we couldn't find a closet, but discovered two very spacious ones on our final evening. Oops! The views are gorgeous, amenities were wonderful, and the breakfast & restaurant were delicious. Above all, the service was exceptional. This was simply the best hospitality we've experienced at any hotel ever. The staff was accommodating and friendly. They even sent us away with a bag of water and snacks. I can't recommend this location enough.

Perfect choice! - Great location (close to La Morra), nice facilities (rooms and restaurants), parking is convenient and free, rooms are new and well furnished with a balcony, from which the view is spectacular. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful. The two restaurants are top notch with great food and impeccable service. Finally, they have a large selection of wines and are happy to help you taste as many as you can! I thought the piscine area would be bigger and more spacious. The pool was a little small. Our room was also quite small. It wasn't clear on the description online but I would have chosen the larger room (with seating area) if I had known. But both are still acceptable considering they are not the prime reason for being there.
