Guest Reviews
- Janet (8/5): - The rooms were clean, the staff pleasant I wish the morning breakfast was more substantial than continental.
- Angela (6/5): - Very old amd needs renovation! The Room wasn't very clean, mold in the bathroom and dirty carpet. The bed was uncomfortable, pillows lumpy. There were no extra blankets or pillows.
- Jo Ann (10/5): - Clean; friendly staff; great location
- Michele (10/5): Nicer than expected! - This hotel was much nicer than we expected! Nicely decorated, comfortable beds, great value. We would stay here again.

- Jody (10/5): - Stay was great! Very friendly staff. Great pool and hot tub. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.
- Jahn (10/5): - Room was clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast offered enough to get us on our way each day. Staff was courteous and helpful. Would stay again without hesitation.
- Tamie (6/5): - Room smelled like stale smoke. Had a very “old” smell.
- Allen (10/5): - Enjoyed the hot tub, and a good night sleep
- Jordan (6/5): - Staff was friendly and the check in was quick. The hallways are dimly lit and the elevators are a little rough going from floor to floor. The room was clean, but definitely in need of an update.
- Timothy (6/5): - Food service at the casino was terrible!
- Terese (10/5): - Extremely friendly
- sue (8/5): - Nice place for the money . Free shuttle to casino. Bed and bedding was very comfortable !
- Karen (8/5): - Overall the bedroom area was very good. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The air conditioner worked and was easy to adjust. The staff was friendly and available. The hotel location met our needs well. But, for Pete's sake, please make sure the wall paper is not peeling off the bathrom wall and a towel rack would be a welcome and sanitary addition.
- Joyce (10/5): - clean room, did not use internet.
- Caren (10/5): - Room was very clean and the help extremely helpful.
- Debra (8/5): - Friendly staff… rooms could use some updating…
- Aneela (6/5): - This is for Expedia. The hotel was fine, however had i known it was a casino i would NOT have chosen it. Also if I had booked through the hotel the room was only $80 and expedia charged me 113. Im very disappointed. I would like a refund.
- John (8/5): Not too bad - Not too bad. Little out of date but in decent shape still. Staff were pretty nice and friendly. Location is good. The view from our room was nice. We will stay again.
- Kondra (10/5): - Clean, friendly staff
- Mindy (6/5): - Stay was just "okay", clean enough, no gym, limited breakfast. I was expecting at least a four star, given the location, price and tie to the casino.
- Katey (8/5): - nice pool and hot tub area, needs updating on floor levels. no casino on site
- Michelle (6/5): Annual September Casino Color tour - Room was clean but dated. Front desk supervisor was very helpful resolving an issue with the 3 rooms we had booked.
- Kathleen (8/5): - It was good. I suggest to move the smoking area away from the front door.
- Evelyn (10/5): - Quality
- Dale (10/5): - Excellent
- Holly (10/5): - Clean room and quiet. Great stay!
- Sofia (6/5): - Staff all were amazing very helpful, breakfast was good 👍
- Stacey (10/5): - Very clean property. Convenient location
- Steven (8/5): - Good over all
- Vicki (8/5): - Easy to find. Very accessable to stores, casino and downtown
- Jennifer (4/5): - Highly regret booking this place. Booked it for 3 nights. My door knob never worked properly you would need to forcefully assault the thing to get it to open. I had to complain 2 times and still it wasn't fixed. There was potential urine in the elevator that I followed all the way to the front desk and told them about. Another time crumbs and cigarette on the floor of the elevator. I know at least for the potential urine they were quick to get it cleaned. On the third night the neighbors were screaming and yelling and I called front desk multiple times. The neighbors wouldn't answer so nothing was done except gave us a new room. We suspect it was teenagers that were left there while the parents went to the casino. We didn't want to move because we were leaving in 10 hours but it was so bad we were desperate so we could get some sleep. I was refunded 2 of my 3 nights. Which I appreciate. Id rather just pay the full amount for a peaceful nice hotel stay. They do have the nicest pool room I've seen with a hotel. Unfortunately the pool is not heated but the hot tub is great. The hallways are very noisy you can hear a lot. So if you're wanting a peaceful quiet stay probably consider elsewhere. This place also had the worst breakfast I've ever seen with a hotel.
- Bruce (10/5): Odawa Petoskey - The Odawa Petoskey is one the friendliest, cleanest hotels we've ever stayed at! Front desk people are always great.....helpful and accommodating! A "must stay" if your staying in the area.
- Craig (10/5): - Free shuttle to restaurant/casino. Very good value!
- Rosanne (10/5): - Great staff and rooms, please get better pillows and taller toilets. 😉
- Cheng-Yu (10/5): Nice and old fashioned - Nice, old fashioned hotel. I like the 80’s style and layout. The room is clean and well updated.
- Marcia (10/5): - Clean hotel, nice mattresses, great staff!
- Pamela (10/5): - We stayed here many years ago, and the property has been updated nicely. There is no restaurant at the property, but the breakfast was adequate and the breakfast area is lovely.
- Jennifer (8/5): - Needs some updating
- Rickey (8/5): - Slow elevator
- Dominique (10/5): - Great hotel! Great staff!
- cheryl (4/5): - Beds uncomfortable, no safety bar in shower, mold in shower, dusty lamps
- Jean (10/5): Coming back. - I was in Petoskey to play in an orchestra over the weekend, so my husband and I decided to have a getaway. We chose Odawa from hotels.com because the website looked good, and it was about the cheapest hotel in town. But not cheap. Beautiful swimming pool and hot tub, comfortable beds, good breakfast (not hot, but a good variety of things to eat). We would stay there again next time.
- Amy (6/5): - The rooms weren’t totally what we expected. The pictures looked more updated. The breakfast was definitely lacking. No hot options.
- Scott (10/5): - Access to parking lot from the South is difficult due to some construction activity.
Staff level was inadequate for providing good service to patrons.
- Jon (8/5): - Shuttle and cash to casino.
- Donald (10/5): - Very nice clean & comfy place to stay.
- Kimberly (10/5): - Great place! Will stay here again.
- Karen (10/5): - Just an over night stay but free shuttle to and from the casino. Great view from our room.
- Terry (8/5): - Great stay. Clean quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is lacking, even for a continental breakfast.
- Mary (10/5): - Very nice place. Will stay there again.
- John (10/5): Pre-op stay - I cannot give enough accolades to the staff at this very nice hotel. The front desk staff have all been respectful and pleasant. I've interacted with the housekeeping and they also were very helpful. The man attending the breakfast buffet, great also.
- Jeff (8/5): - Cool little small town casino hotel. Not enough tables open at the casino, but fun anyway. Hotel was exactly as advertised. shuttle to casino
- Gisela (10/5): - I liked all of it from location , to clean rooms, transportation , Staff it was perfect.
- Christal (10/5): - It was quiet and really clean.
- LeeAnn (8/5): - Allowed early check in, clean friendly staff.
- Lorie (10/5): - Felt very comfortable on your property and will be passing on your hotel information onto my friends for a great stay and enjoy life
- Daniel (8/5): - the pool and hot tub was down for my 3 days when I was there
- dave (8/5): - Dated, needs attention but was pleasantly nice
- James (6/5): Just ok, nothing great - Beds comfortable and rooms clean. But no housecleaning until after you check out. Also have to request more towels and shampoo/ conditioner from front desk after first night stay. Shuttle to casino was somewhat of a hassle. Continental breakfast mediocre
- Jerome (10/5): - Nice clean room
- robert m (10/5): wonderful - we stayed for 5 days with not a single complaint.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Don't recommend this hotel to anyone. Unsafe. - First of all the we were unable to take a bath as the tub stopper wouldn't close all the way. The soap dish was broken and there was no place to put the soap. No towel rack to put the washclothes and towels after use. No stands to put the suitcases on so we had to put them on the bed when we needed to get more clothes out of the cases. The refrigerator was turned up full blast and never got cold enough to keep food safe and water COLD. Kept going on and off all night long. I've seen better complimentary breakfasts at cheaper hotels. You can hear toilets flushing above and next to you. One handicap rail in tub would have been nice. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
- Dr Alan (10/5): - The staff at the front desk should be a model for all hotels !!!
- joanna (8/5): - Everything was great except for the very limited breakfast. I expected at least some hot options, but it was only muffins, bagels, and dry cereal. The facility was clean and nice looking, and the beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay there again, I just hope they step up their game with breakfast.
- Wade (8/5): - Average over all
- richard (10/5): Nice hotel - Very nice hotel, clean and modern. Pool open till midnight which is nice. Only issue is the breakfast is not great.
- Randy (8/5): - Comfortable, clean, but NEEDS updates. Completely breakfast is a little lacking. All employees are exceptional.
- Virgina (10/5): - Excellent facilities.
- Bruce (10/5): Great Stay! - Always a great stay at Petoskey Odawa! The best staff and squeaky clean rooms!
- Kyle (8/5): needs to be updated - Rooms were dark and outdated, showers were gross, and caulk was moldy and needed to be updated. smelled like pot.
Wish there was a bar/restaurant on site
- Kalyn Elizabeth (6/5): - Just ok. Standard hotel.
- Kathryn a (8/5): - A reasonable plase to stay it would be nice if there was a restaurant on the hotel property. The continental breakfast is a bit scimpy. Also the courtyard by the pool could use somd outdoor furniture to encourage sitting outside comfortably
- Daniel (10/5): - Enjoyed shuttle service to casino
- Corinne (10/5): - Beds were comfortable and the hotel was clean. Okay continental breakfast. Nice hot tub and pool area. Affordable lodging.
- Joseph (8/5): - Good location
- Karin (6/5): - The property was not quite as expected based on the booking images. The room felt tired and the cleanliness was average at best. The front desk staff unfortunately set the tone for our stay; the gentleman who checked us in did not greet us, and said no more than 5 words to us during the check-in process. We unfortunately would not consider this property when we visit again.
- amer (10/5): - Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a very clean property breakfast options were continental would’ve been nice to have a scrambled egg and sausage station as well. Otherwise everything was very nice.
- Linda (8/5): - Staff was very good. Disappointed in not having a
microwave in room (which they used to have) or a bigger continental breakfast-- no waffle maker, no hot eggs, no bread for toast (cannot eat bagels). They have downgraded the place in past couple years. .
- Djustina (6/5): - It was okay
- Stacey (6/5): - Upon check-in staff should inform guest there is:
1) continental breakfast and hours
2) pool and hot tub location and hours
3) washer/dryer and location
4) tickets for casino and how they work
5) how to use the shuttle
NONE of this information was given to either of the three different parties that checked in with our groups and would have been so helpful. I didn’t even know about the $15 coupons at the casino until the last day! Would have loved to have done a load of laundry had we know that was an option and our friends didn’t even know there was a hot tub!!
Room needs a full length mirror and better lighting. Other than that stay was fine. For the money may stay at another spot next time around.
- julie-lynne (8/5): - Rooms need some upgrading especially the bathroom
Showers where the shower heads don’t really give you enough pressure
- Sandra (6/5): OK - Room a bit worn looking..carpet, paint, curtains, furniture, tub caulking.......
Clean but sure could be updated.
Comfy beds, linens and pillows.
Breakfast only consisted of muffins, toast, bagels , fruit, juices. Cold hard boiled eggs.
Bit disappointed.
- Kathleen (8/5): - We stayed for 2 nights. The rooms were clean. A small table and chair would have been helpful. Bathroom needs updating. Bigger bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Pool was nice. We liked the shuttle to and from casino. Not a great breakfast. Bagels, hard boiled eggs, cereal and muffins. Overall it was nice and convenient for our stay.
- SUSAN (10/5): - Nice property, easy, convenient, nice staff. Cool pool and hot tub, plenty of towels. Good free breakfast.
- Nicholas (6/5): - We woke to a dog batking and it continued to bark all morning. Room was a little dirty my wife found a used lip balm on the floor. The breakfast should be a the top of the list as unsatisfactory no meat no pancake or waffle no egg had to stop on the way home to eat.
- Lori (8/5): - This property is in need of some updating. While it was pretty clean, you could hear your neighbors in the next room and toilets flushing. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast did not offer hot items so that was disappointing. We did appreciate the gratuity of slot machine vouchers. The price per night was excellent for this location
- leon (10/5): - Quiet shuttles to casino
- Michael (10/5): - Nice staff, affordable, clean, and good location!
- Cynthia (10/5): - Nice staff, easy check in/out. Breakfast options. Keurig in room
- Stephanie (6/5): - Staff was great , the fridge in our room made loud noises, shower head sprayed everywhere but on you and no exhaust fan in the bathroom so steamed up bad.
- Toccara (6/5): G - Beautiful hotel, love the shuttle to the casino. However, the breakfast is abysmal. I wouldn't even offer breakfast cereal and bread for the cost? I was expecting a waffle maker or even eggs? The hottub was nice however, not the cleanest.
- Lindsey (8/5): - Lacking dining options, no hot breakfast, but the beds were comfy. We had some super loud neighbors screaming but that’s not the hotels fault. They sent security. The hot tub was nice and hot! Bonus.
- Kyle (6/5): - Had a couple moments where the staff was busy and somewhat rude, but more so at the casino than hotel.
- patrick (8/5): - Just an average hotel, bathroom condition was horrible- leaky shower, water pressure poor, room smelled stale... but convenient location for our needs.
- Aashima (10/5): Good price - Clean place
Easy checking in
Nice lobby to hangout in
- Donna (10/5): - I like the convenience to the highway and getting too downtown Petosky was a breeze. Getting to other attractions were easy to get to.
Only thing I see needs some updates within the room. The bathroom needs a towel rack and towel hook replaced in the room I was in.
- Carrie (8/5): - Staff was friendly and very helpful. We asked if there was a book/pamphlet with things to do in the area. The woman at the desk suggested places to go that might have them, plus she printed us a " book" with information. Hotel was clean.
