Guest Reviews
- lisa (10/5): - Nice and quiet, clean and comfortable. Liked the spaciousness and large table
- Karen (6/5): - Park area not fit my suv
- Judith (10/5): - Clean & comfy. Covered parking right next to room was convenient/safe.
- Laura (8/5): - The place was very good. The room was large and we got covered parking near our room. We walked to a nice breakfast place nearby. The place was very cute and retro. Don’t expect a modern all white bedroom, because you’ll be disappointed. But it was cute, large, and clean.
- Jeramy (4/5): - The room is extremely clean. All linens and bath towels were extremely clean and well put away. However, the hotel was very loud. Constant noise outside the room. The price of the room was in my opinion exorbitant for what it offered. It's just a standard motel room kind of like a motel 6 with more shimmer and shine. For the price I thought I would get quite a lot better than this.
- Karen (10/5): - A very cute hotel Chloe to the City Plaza. Receptionist was friendly and checkin was quick and easy. The preceding welcome email had great suggestions for dining. No ice machine but they were able to give us small bags of ice which helped for our drink cups. The room was huge. The beds comfortable w plenty of pillows. The water was hot. AC window unit cold. Covered parking a plus. Would definitely stay here again.
- Deborah L (10/5): - This hotel has been renovated and is very nice. The room is basic, but very comfortable and clean.
- Ann (10/5): - Friendly service through out our stay and at check in and out. Clean, roomy, comfortable. Stayed 4 nights. Safe location.
- Eli (10/5): - Simple, Clean, easy to find
- Karen (10/5): - Dated little motel
- Donna (10/5): - Very nice renovation of old fashioned motor motel. Very clean. Quiet even though on busy road.
- McKee (10/5): - Clean room, comfortable bed, small bath.
- Taylor (10/5): - Cute little motel! It was clean and quaint and we enjoyed our stay very much!
- Robert (8/5): - Clean room
- Jeffrey (6/5): - It would have been fine, except in the morning my room had a sewer gas smell that was not acceptable.
- victor (6/5): - Old
- Joshua (10/5): - Nice place to stay for the money.
- Nathaniel (10/5): - Very clean and great park
- Wilmer A (10/5): - The set up was nice. The bed was very comfortable. The car garage very useful.
- Frank (10/5): - Found this little gem, while traveling for work. Great time Machine of the vintage motor motels with carports for each room ..very convenient, room was clean ,outdated but comfortable, bed was comfortable, restroom reminded me of my grandmoms house ..*Room 6 may or may not be haunted..woke up from deep sleep to felt like someone tugged at my shoulder..then felt as someone layed or sat on the bed..strange ,I ignored it and fell back asleep . Would stay here again ,just not sure in the same room . 😉👻
- Kevin (6/5): Spidery - It was fine, safe and clean... A bit outdated, but it is what it is. I did get a spider bite on my leg during my stay.
- Kevin (10/5): - Nice, basic accomdations, the only negative was a difficult door locking mecanism
- Jane (4/5): - The room we had (12) was depressing dark and worst, dirty. Filthy carpet...a random drain grating in the middle of the room ehich held god knows what.
I most definitely would not recommend this place to anyone
- Bill (8/5): - Friendly and very friendly and helpful
- Sylvia (10/5): - The room was very clean and the room size is spacious.
- Judith (10/5): - Excellent
- maria (10/5): - Totally charming hotel. Room was clean, bed was great. Outside is pretty run down but they keep it clean
- BECKY (8/5): Business trip - The coffee pot did not work, but the room was great and so was the service. The mattress needs to be replaced because it is very soft in spots and very firm in spots creating high and low spots in the bed. The room was very clean NO BUGS at all and very spacious with a huge closet and a wonderful ski light feature. The parking was amazing and slowed safe viewing of mesmerizing mountain storms. The attendant was very polite and hard working. I would highly recommend this place to others. If the replaced the mattress and non functioning coffee pot. It’s also in a great location that was not hard to get too and there were many great dinning establishments nearby. Overall 9.5 out of 10
- Myra (10/5): - The hotel had a covered garage. The room was clean and quiet.
- Judith (8/5): Clean and quaint - This is an older hotel that was renovated fairly recently. It’s very clean, easy access to all things Santa Fe, the rooms are small, but well laid out, very efficient and no-frills. It’s what hotels used to be and made me appreciate simpler times. For me it was great to stay minutes from the airport for a very early flight. I would certainly do it again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not so great, but you get what you pay for.. - Road noise all night. Toilet in separate door hardly enough room to turn or stand. Covered parking only wide enough for 1 vehicle not 2 spaces.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean excellent place - Super clean, easy check in and check out, excellent covered parking that fit my pickup truck, nice skylight to wake up to soft morning light, walking distance to a fantastic coffee shop
- Sarah (10/5): - We had
- Candice (6/5): Great Location, Priced Well and Clean - This is a value-priced hotel for being so close to downtown Santa Fe. It was old, but very clean and well-maintained. What I didn't like is the plastic on the outside of the bathroom window (see photo). There is no curtain on the inside, which could be accomplished quite simply with a tension rod and a cheapo curtain. Since the motel is sandwiched between some iffy establishments, I didn't feel comfortable.
- Priscilla (10/5): - Very quiet
- Jackie (8/5): Great location, hard bed. Felt safe. - If you like a hard bed you will be happy. I prefer a soft bed. It made my muscles and bones hurt. There were four big pillows. I took off the bedspread because the outside felt like polyester, the kind you could snag a nail on. I never turned on the TV. The wifi was good. It was very clean. My favorite part was parking the rental car right next to the room It was protected and covered. I felt safe. It had everything I needed as I was out exploring most of the day. It had a mini fridge. The coffee maker did not brew the coffee for long so it came out weak. I was 3 minutes from Dunkin Donuts and I love their coffee, so did that. Trader Joes was 4 minutes away. Meow Wolf was 7 minutes. There was a very bright light that stayed on all night over the air conditioner. I wore an eye mask. That was the only window. Both of those factors added to my feeling safe. They had an inside lock for security. There was some rumbling noise at night, but I had my noise machine and earplugs. There was a great place to hike 10 minutes away. The locations was amazing. I ate El Parasol tacos which were delicious. Taos was an hour and 1/2 away. Albuquerque was 1 hour. There was a train that ran to and from Albuquerque called the road runner. It was $8.00 I think. Santa Fe is small. Parking was easy. I absolutely loved it. The sky and mountains were so beautiful. Check out the farmers market on Saturday. Go to Canyon road and downtown.
- Eric (10/5): - This was a good place to rest and reset. Clean and very comfy. Convenient and inspired.
- Priscilla (6/5): - Very quiet
- Alexandra (10/5): - This was the BEST motel I've stayed in, in a long time! It was cozy, clean, bed was great, service great. I cant wait to go again!!! Thank you!
- Frank (10/5): - Not far from downtown area. Lots of great places to eat only a couple of miles away.
- Lynn (10/5): - Great inn with carport and skylights. Big walk in closet. Very clean. I highly recommend!
- Jesus (8/5): - Great place! The only problem was the a/c
- Linda (8/5): - Room 11 worked out well for us with separate sleeping areas. Bathroom light was not working. Could use an extra chair (since it's for 2 people).
- Jaime (10/5): - nicely renovated classic. Clean and comfortable room, the water pressure and temperature are awesome. Nice that you can't hear your neighbors like newer hotels.
- Karen (10/5): - Motel has been operating since Rt 66 (anniversary next year!)was the main east west road. Rooms are spacious and comfy. Room amenities are updated. Front desk is friendly, remembered me from last visit. I'd stay again
- david gonzales (10/5): - Old style motor inn. Nice clean nostalgic property.
- KENT (10/5): - Loved the garage next to our room
- Kathryn (8/5): Affordable and comfortable - This was a quick overnight for a business event. It's an older hotel with rooms recently remodelled nicely. It's not a full service hotel, but the people are nice and it's affordable by Santa Fe standards.
- Carissa (10/5): Very nostalgic. - Cute place. Simple. Clean. Great price. Don’t expect a 3 star environment. It’s an old school motel.
- Pamela (8/5): - This is an old adobe hotel. It’s cute could use some updating. Bed and sheets were comfy. Air conditioner in the window did a good job. small bathroom. A little
Musty smelling. In a good area to drive to downtown Santa Fe and canyon road. Owner was very pleasant. Theres an open garage to park your vehicle in. We had to switch rooms because I have a Thule on top and we didn’t fit in the first one. No breakfast
Would we stay there again…..probably.
- Angelic (10/5): - I am pleasantly surprised on how clean and well managed for an older property. This place is definitely worth it.
- Marde (10/5): - This place is a cool old motor court that even has a garage area beside your room to park. The room was spacious with a large walk in closet, a skylight, and amazing old school doors. I will be booking here again for my next Santa Fe trip.
- Michael (10/5): - The room was very clean, had a garage to park my car & rate was very affordable
- Lorraine (10/5): - I thought that this hotel was very quaint. It’s an old Adobe and the rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. The motel is a little further out from Santa Fe, but it is certainly a lot less expensive. The room was spacious with a nice area with a desk. It also had a huge walk-in closet. I will be staying there again.
- Daniel (8/5): - Worked well for a night in Santa Fe. We liked the old Route 66 motor lodge layout - nobody stomping on the floor above you or making noise in the halls, etc. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and everything functioned as it should.👍
- Michael (10/5): - Great property for a great price. Clean, comfy, king bed, desk, and covered parking 2 feet from the room.
- Helen (10/5): - For an older motor court, King’s Rest Court was in great shape. It was clean and the grounds were perfect for a motor court. We would definitely stay there again.
- Jay (8/5): Great for Bikers - I ride a motorcycle and King's Rest is perfect for riders, there is a covered carport right next to your room door, very secure. The location is convenient to everything you might want to do in Santa Fe.
- Jane (10/5): Nice stay. - Really cool little place, sheltered parking, reasonable price for overnight stop. Great people.
- Christopher (8/5): - Good retro Route 66 Motel.
Clean and comfortable.Good value fo Santa Fe.
- Anna (10/5): - Clean and the stuff very helpful
- Craig (10/5): - Busy street but quiet at night
- Gena (10/5): - Very clean and located close to where we wanted to be.
- Feng (10/5): - a good night stay in King's Rest Court Inn
- David (6/5): Should have spent more elsewhere - Not a "bad" place, just had issues. Bathroom had a step up into it, making a tripping hazzard in the dark. However, no real dark, as the outside lighting blared through the thin curtains. Had to hang coats over it in an attempt to get it dark enough to sleep. Bed was really firm. Not a pleasant night. Road out front kind of busy, but not a problem during our stay.
- Kathleen (10/5): - Room very clean, cute. Comfortable bed. Covered carport. Very friendly people.
- Ernest (8/5): - I liked the simple fact that the property was close to restaurants, ect.
- Barry (10/5): - Some traffic noise.
- WILLIAM (6/5): - Checking in they did not honor the quoted Expedia price--they charged me $85 for Friday night instead of your $75, When I ??? it the response was "you have to pay our price" and did not inspire confidence taking it further. Expedia bookings have always worked out well for me, this one even though it was only a small $$ amount was a first.
- Susan (6/5): - Mattress was hard as a rock. If you like super firm, this is the place for you.
- Amy (8/5): - Vintage one story motel that has been renovated. Was comfortable, clean and quiet.
- Stephany (10/5): - Good
- Verified traveler (4/5): Baffled Guy - The motel has a 1950's vibe, with renovated rooms. It just seems like an inconveniance to stay at this motel. The lady at the office/check In, appears overwhelmed & rude & is bothered when you ring the door bell to inquire about motel questions. There is street racing on this section of Cerrillos road late at night. First & last time I stay at this motel.
- Zuzana (8/5): - Older property that is well maintained. Unique configuration with small courtyard access to parking carports which managed to accommodate our truck and Uhaul trailer. Our room had a desk area, large walk in closet, fridge and microwave. Reasonably priced.
- Linda (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s impressive to see what they’ve accomplished with this historic property. Comfortable and fun
- Daniel (10/5): - Vintage Santa Fe Studio for an great price.
- marlene (2/5): - Didn’t feel safe
- Patricia (10/5): - loved the garage.....i will always stay here
- Dariusz (8/5): - Great, safe place for economy lodging with free parking, apporox 2.6 miles from Old Town Plaza. Close to a few nice local restaurants, especially breakfast and 2 outstanding bakeries. The floor carpet was ok but it should be replaced with some hard surface that feels much more cleaner.
No breakfast available but coffee machine and mini fridge in the room
- Michael (8/5): - Unique building that was old style but renovated and in good condition. I had a large pickup truck so wasn't able to use the provided covered parking. If you have a car it's perfect for keeping your car out of the sun
- Bruce (8/5): - Well preserved vintage property. Garages for vehicles. Helpful staff.
- Glenn (10/5): - This is a remarkable, classic, adobe brick motor court, complete with a car port for every car. Though it is vintage in every respect -- original interior doors and surface -- it has had tasteful updates that make it completely comfortable. This is a GEM.
- Daniel (10/5): - Best bang for your buck! King's Rest offers a high quality stay in a vintage Santa Fe themed studio for an extremely affordable price!
- Michael (10/5): - A very good place to stay .Highly recommended
- Jane (10/5): SantaFe find. - Of the 4 motels we stayed at on this road trip, this was by far the best. Best space, best bed, cleanest, best supplied. Best deal for the price!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - excellent and very quiet
- chris (6/5): - the wifi still had issues but vastly improved. The price is too expensive however for lack of so many features and amenities.
- Michael (10/5): Good stay - It was a good stay, relaxing and quiet .
- Hailey (10/5): - Perfect if you’re looking for something that’s not all full of unnecessary bells and whistles. Rooms are clean and have necessities and amenities like a shower with near-neverending hot water, a mini-fridge, and a beautiful skylight. Huge plus to be able to park right next to your front door. Will definitely be staying here again the next time we’re through Santa Fe on a budget.
- Siena (10/5): - Love this place!
- Shemyakina (10/5): - Nice stylish place! The room had everything, even rooftop window :-) . Options to drive or walk for exploring the city. Good places to eat in walking distance.

- Michael (10/5): - The atmosphere is very warm and reminds me of home it’s done in a very southwest decor, it’s five stars all the way and will return again,The owner is very friendly and nice and funny, overall it’s highly recommended.
