Stains all over the carpet, the bathroom sink was clogged, the shower didn’t work, the sheets were stained and looked like they hadn’t even been changed, the floors were FILTHY, the bathroom was gross, the bathtub definitely wasn’t cleaned either.

The staff at Woodspring was exceptionally welcoming and the check-in process was remarkably seamless. During our check-in, we encountered several staff members, including Kelly, Shannan, and Mary. These individuals exemplify the exceptional service provided at Woodspring. • shoniib2022 (10/5): The perfect home away from home. - We stayed in Room 320. From the very beginning of my stay, the staff at WoodSpring Suites have been amazing to me and my family. They treat us just like family and always go above and beyond to make sure we’re comfortable. Every staff member has been kind, respectful, and helpful in every way. What I appreciate most is that they always work with us, not against us. You can tell they truly care about their guests and do everything they can to make your stay a positive experience. I’m very thankful for the hospitality and support we’ve received, this hotel really feels like a home away from home. Highly recommend!

Room was fairly clean but door to cabinets broken hanging halfway off, very old carpet, bed reminded me of a pullout sofa bed. They offer smoking rooms so hallways smell smokey an dimly lit. My room was non smoking but still had burns by the sink in bathroom an counter by stove where people had cigs sitting. No sun blocking blinds, walls were thin could hear people talking on each side. Doors hard to close to all hours of the night you hear people slamming the doors.

Staff and fellow guests were super friendly.The night desk clerk was exceptional.. Every single thing was outdated. The vent in bathroom was even filthy. I finally took a handicapped room. Best option . I had to keep shoes on. The room was so disappointing. Everything was from the 80’s.
• Brian (2/5): - This hotel appears to host long-term workers and transient families. The elevator smelled like BO/dirty laundry and the carpet in the room was sticky. GROSS! My room allowed for smoking and smelled bad, but I guess the interim apartment aspect allows for it. There was no coffee pot, which is also the mark of an extended stay hotel. - The desk clerk was friendly and funny, but I will never stay here again.
• Arlette (10/5): - To be honest the staff especially Rayvon, Doug, Shannon and China are excellent in customer service and people skills. The General Manager however is a passive aggressive female who needs an attitude adjustment and cannot exist without her excellent staff. I debated whether to stay here or not but as long as I never saw her it was fine. My stay as always was a work trip. I don't need extra stress from the likes of GM Kelly whose primary purpose should be to ensure her guests are stress free. I see through her very easily and probably will not return here in the future if she's still the General Manager. The five stars are for Rayvon, Doug, Shannon and China.

(Ms. Kelly, Doug, Ms. Shannon and Ms.Tracy) Ms. Rayvon has a bubbly personality, she's really nice and she's always willing to assist. This hotel is nice and clean and very comfortable. Shannon goes above and beyond for everyone regardless of their situation or circumstances. I've seen Kelly and Shannon help guests when their in a bind. I feel like they go out of their way pass their job description. I would definitely come back again.

The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained – but what really makes it stand out is the staff. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful, and over time, they’ve come to feel more like friends than hotel staff. I want to especially recognize Mrs. Rayvon, who always greets us with a warm smile and contagious laughter. She consistently goes above and beyond to accommodate us and make sure we’re comfortable. Her kindness and energy have made a big difference in our stay. If you’re looking for a place that’s not just affordable and convenient, but also filled with genuinely caring people, I highly recommend this location. • Melissa (4/5): I would seek alternate arrangements - When I arrived, my toilet was clogged. I went downstairs to ask them to fix it or to provide a plunger. They told me they did not have plungers. She did have one that she rented out, but someone had not returned it and I could try and ask another room did not tell me which room. I tried a couple of my neighbors one came to the door with a gun. I apologize for bothering him and tried someone else. There were people trying to open my door all night. Fortunately we had a lock on the door for what the room was. It was clean and no insects the batteries in the remote control did not work. I had to go downstairs luckily they did provide me with a set. The one upside was the air conditioner worked great but the bedding and the bed was uncomfortable. After checkout, I received a $3.24 charge on my company credit card that they have been unable to remove or return my calls and I have to be able to provide a receipt and I do not have that. I understand it is an extended state, but a lot of the people were very seedy and the fourth floor smells completely like marijuana

The staff member at the hotel couldn't even pull up my confirmation without me forwarding my confirmation. Which I also have proof of. When I was leaving she asked me why and I said I do not feel safe with all these intoxicated men all over the property watching me and listening to you give me my room.

• pamelabT3123IB (10/5): Still smiling about the service I was treated to at WoodSpring Suites in Chesapeake, VA Off the Interstate 64 Battlefield Boule - This particular type of hotel. I was told by Shay one of the staff members but it's like an extended stay type of sale for people that are traveling or working or other and they don't need so much attention to their room. As far as Sears goes cuz they don't make a mess it's just them you know or one or two people you go down and you get your own tool. They do clean the rooms in between people saying they will clean it for you if you request it otherwise. But I just go downstairs and get trade my towels in and get new ones and sheets and all that good stuff. Toilet paper you know everything I need. It was actually quite easy. I didn't have any trouble at all and everybody at the desk was amazingly kind, which I appreciated

Ms Kelly is one of the nicest hotel managers we have ever come across. We travel thru Virginia often and the team she has here is a perfect lineup. Doug and Rayvon, they take the cake!!! Seriously, both of them are incredibly nice. Rayvon is just a ray of sunshine!!!! Everyone is so nice to our dogs, they were welcomed with open arms. One housekeeper is a little afraid of dogs, but she still is just as kind as can be! I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling thru Chesapeake in a heartbeat!!!!

• 697lizae (4/5): Mixed review. - Pros: The staff was very friendly. The location in close to the interstate, shopping, and restaurants. The room was clean. The room smelled nice when I first entered, but didn't last long. It seemed the room was spritzed before I entered. Laundry machines were reasonably priced. Cons: This is an extremely bare-boned location. The bed was made, one towel-type bathmat, and 1.5 rolls of toilet paper were in the room. Everything else was on you or was extra cost. The hallway and outside doorways areas often smelled of pot. Cigarette butts were everywhere on the property. Garbage bins were in the parking lot and you were responsible for taking out your own trash. The tv had 49 channels.

Refrigerator did not keep cold and was all rusted on the side. Spill spots on the floor in front of elevator. Poor water pressure. It had a stove but no pots or pans.

So how I’m out of $97 $ This is a hotel for street walkers and drug addicts!

Then after you swipe your card, then they tell you, if this happen or that happens you will be charged. I bed look like a fold up bed, no carpet in the rooms. the blanket was paper thin.NO Housekeeping Services, you had to use the same towels all weekend. I went and brought LYSOL to spray done everything in this room. The staff at desk act of thou they don't know what to do and they act like they don't know what's on when you ask a question. I only stayed there because I came to VA for an important event. It was too late to find another hotel. THIS IS A WELFARE HOTEL. IF you like the finer things in life don't stay at this HOTEL.

The property is partly hotel, partly social families sponsored by the government. The room for the five days we stayed there, no one came to clean it. The carpet lost its color and looks like mud. However, no complaint about the workers, they are very friendly. I had one key I managed to lose it, I called the 500 number. A lady answered the phone from Michigan's office, she tried hard but no one came down to open for us. We ended up passing the night out in our car from 2 am to 9 am. And They gave us however a refund for one day. I did not like anything from that hotel. Vacationers will jump to a price friendly hotel but is for you to open our eyes to let us know upfront what to expect based on feedback that you received from previous customers, then we will make up our mind

• Marie (2/5): - This place is absolutely filthy and disgusting. The entire place smelled like, mold, cat pee and cigarette smoke. I have never seen such a nasty filthy hotel. The manager did let me switch rooms a couple of times. The first room I was in had such a strong stench it was irritating my throat and sinuses and then I discovered there was actual human feces on the wall and the refrigerator did not work. The second room didn't smell much better and the third room was a bit better but still gross. There were more than a couple of fights while I was there and the fire alarm system went off several times, usually at night and each time the fire department came. The outside lighting went off sometime in the middle of the night, every night, meaning when I had to leave very early for work it was completely pitch black out, making in very scary and dangerous walking to my car.

• Corey (2/5): - Is this really a hotel? It felt like a Military barracks or low income housing. My room had bugs. The light in the bathroom didn't work. There was no TV remote. 1 towel and a half a roll of toilet paper in the room. The Bed was a joke. Some drunk above me was partying until 2am. Some tweaker was roaming th hallway all night and going in and out of his room every 5 minutes.
