Guest Reviews
- Jorge (1/5): Disappointed . Won’t recommend anyone to stay there until renovations are done - The hotel is going over big renovations. I did not have room service cleaning. Not even a garbage can in the room. No clean towels and bed no change for 4 days. Too many strangers around the hotel. I did no felt safe. Bed sheets old curtains rip off. This is not a hotel it is a motel.
- Sharmane (7/5): - Good experience... N/ A
- Brandi (1/5): Horrible - Did not chance it The room was filthy. There was human hair all over the room. We went to Target and bought towels and sheets and pillows. Then threw them away.
To the desk clerks plus she did say she would show us the room since they had so many complaints. Our mistake not doing it.
Then had the NERVE to charge a $100 deposit fee. WOW
- Jacob (1/5): Could have been better - The staff was nice and they were helpful The room was not in the greatest shape it was missing a cable box or TV was destroyed it was not vacuum good it was dirty the faucet just spun and spun and spun around on the kitchen sink it was the cabinet it was missing cabinets then the ones that were there were broke the Charles just fell out of the dresser on the lights some work something the one in the bathroom didn't work and stuff it was wasn't in the greatest shape
- Tameka (10/5): Love it - Quite Key keep deactivating
- Joseph (1/5): Terrible - Nothing Nothing staff was very rude and disrespectful
- Joseph (1/5): Terrible place wouldn't let my dog stay there. - Terrible staff is very rude disrespectful Staff was\nVery rude just respectful
- Daniel (1/5): Awful stay bad staff - The location was ok The staff gave us a hard time about our service dog from the moment we got their ended up telling us we either had to leave or the dog had to go because he bit my friend supposedly but that was completely incorrecthe only jumped up to grab his treat My friend had for him
- Ge (2/5): -
- Vinjo (6/5): Ok. But can be better - There were cockroaches in the room
- Brandon (10/5): One of the best when it comes to comfort and affordable! - Staff was very cooperative and the room was very clean. Sometimes it can be a little iffy to take a bath at a hotel, but the tub was completely spotless. No complaints about this hotel, keep it up! Only negative is there’s no breakfast options, but that is known when you rent a room.
- William (1/5): - They did now have a room for me
- Terri (3/5): Take a pass - Friendly staff. The hallway carpet was dirty and smelled. There were places on the walls in the room where bugs had been killed and not wiped down. The walls are very thin.
- Chowdary (1/5): -
- José (8/5): - . La alfombra está muy sucia y las paredes
- Bob (10/5): Enjoyable - Perfect for a short getaway — clean, quiet, and excellent service.
- Joseph (10/5): -
- Molly (4/5): - Super ick feeling all around. Room smelled so bad. Considered going elsewhere. Didnt see any bugs, but did leave with what my dr. Says are bed bug bites. Again... so much ick. Ick ick.
- Yvette (8/5): - At this property I had the privilege of having my Esa pet stay while I was at work just had to have him in his kettle and I experienced the good and bad gas station next door 24 hours also had a time use Lyft it cheaper than Uber here and if you busing be aware the bus doesn’t stops at the gas station or motel be prepared to walk bout a mile to bus stop . The bus company says the more we complain be a better chance of getting a stop between the gas station and hotel . It beautiful the customer service is well nice people no one stays any longer than they did too.here it’s and extended stay witha 2 idle stove top and regular refrigerator. Table 2chairs to eat tv Chester draw lamp and alarm clock.
- Glenn C (6/5): - It was OK but I did see a ROACH!!!!! Just one but still. There was also a hole punch in bathroom door and lots of scuff marks on walls.
- Douglas (2/5): - Gross. Room smelled like they were trying to mask a dead body. Also, dont check in late. Its a fiasco.
- Tisha (10/5): - The faucet in the kitchen keeps dripping. The phone don’t work so can’t call in or out the room. Other than that the stay was great. Even extended our stay.
- Samantha (10/5): - It was within value expectations of what we paid for. No issues during our stay and no safety concerns.
- Lesley (6/5): - The TV wouldn't come on. I called the front desk numerous times. No answer. Go all the way down and tell them, they explain how to make it work. I do it and it's all in Spanish and still won't work. Try calling again, no answer. Go all the way back and she comes and fixes it.
Then I sit on the bed. Are you serious? Weird cheap metal bed frames but plastic on the mattress. Every time you move it sounds like a diaper. Kept me up all night long.
Then while I'm awake at 3 am, I go to the bathroom and flip the light on and a roach goes running. So I kill that but now I'm up for the night cause I'm not about to fall asleep and have bugs crawling on me.
Worst stay at a hotel I have ever had. NEVER AGAIN!!!
- Melissa (10/5): - Great place
- Shawn (4/5): - Asked several times for room to be cleaned and it never happened
- bonsu (10/5): -
- Heather (1/5): Never again - I reserved a double bed room ..stayed a week .they gave us a single bed room saying there were no other rooms available for the whole week at all . because we needed 2 beds ..I'm a travel nurse..that has a driver with me..we are not a couple.the bed was horrible..the building smells old and like pot.
The staff are rude and not helpful .they have laundry service but not any coin machine or change at desk .
The bed was so uncomfortable!!! I work 12 hr shifts ..even with a heating pad I still woke up soar..
I slept in my truck 4 of the days after my night shift.
Ridiculous to say the least!
My company uses wood spring for alot of travel nursing contracts and prepays out stay ...I did let my office know I believe they should start using extended stay of America again . Read above
- DESHANNA (10/5): - Good
- khalif (1/5): Städning och sekrahet inte bra??? - Nej dåligt att städa, Dåligt
- Andrew (6/5): - The facility is really worn down. The walls and ceiling provided very little sound-proofing. Lots of loud residents above and around my round. I will never return to this property.
- Kristi (1/5): Bad - Nothing because we didn’t get to stay. Everything . Got an email the morning of leaving for our trip saying our reservation was canceled so I called right away and talked to the front desk girl and she told us that she would give us a discount and we would have a room. I never got a email confirmation get to the hotel. Our reservation is canceled. There’s no new reservation and they couldn’t do nothing to accommodate us because they overbooked
- Michael (2/5): - Did not clean my room the entire time I was there, dirty sheets dirty towels ran out of toiletries. Bad hospitality.
- Jones (10/5): Exceptional - the staff was nice and very helpful nothing
- Faye (9/5): Enjoyed my stay. Friendly staff. Clean rooms - The location was convenient and enjoyed the breakfast items provided Nothing to dislike
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The tv never worked. The front desk personal were too kind and with an awesome disposition to help, unfortunately we couldn’t be able to watch a single channel on the tv. Also the WiFi service should be able to connect enough devices per reservation, and not just one (free) per room. The neighborhood around it feels very safe and you have a bus stop just 4 minutes walking.
- Bernard (7/5): Good -
- melissacW1983IM (10/5): Best hotel ever - This hotel is amazing. Ray and his staff take absolutely amazing care of their guest. I would recommend this hotel to anyone to stay for a long period of time. House keeping does amazing when they come clean your room if your staying a while it's like you live in a apartment and the guest are like family
- Darran (8/5): Very good -
- André (1/5): Bad -
- Damya (1/5): Horrible - Nothing… This stay was the worse place I ever stayed at their was roaches everywhere! There was hair dye all over my bathroom from someone who previously stayed there then the AC didn’t work the tv never worked and when I told the front desk about it they always said they would have it looked at and never did. Also when I asked for another room they told me they couldn’t because they didn’t have anymore available. Also there were people smoking in the stairways.
- Katie Christine (10/5): - Orchid is fantastic at the front desk - above & beyond any interactions I’ve ever had in the past while traveling!
- Sean (1/5): Good Location, but not worth the savings in money. - It was close to where my wife needed to be Dirty, Rooms had stains on the floor, and they were not kept up with or cleaned, this and the people at property gave the feeling of being unsafe. Also, when we reserved for several days to find out that we needed to move after one day, they would not do a refund, so we lost 400 dollars. They will refund companies but not individuals. That makes sense. Lets take care of businesses that have money and not individuals that might need the money when a situation changes unexpectedly.
- Eugene (8/5): Very good - Beds could be more comfortable
- Christina (3/5): Nice area but will definitely not be returning here. - The area The water only worked occasionally, there were no towels. Wifi only worked for one device and you had to pay to add more but that wouldn't work either called front desk no answer. Fridge was unable to be opened sink didn't work
- Antonio (9/5): Superb -
- Kenaundra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erica (1/5): Bad - They have bugs
- Glover (8/5): Very good -
- Mike (2/5): - The cabinet drawers were busted and missing the fronts in my room. There was no remote control so the TV could not be operated. By 11 o’clock at night there was no staff on the premises. No one answered the phone at the front desk either. I asked for a full refund and I’m hoping to get it.
- TracyC3123 (10/5): 5 star extended stay review - The staff at this hotel are incredibly welcoming and upbeat. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. My family and I are always pleased with all their services that they offer. The staff is personably and patient. They offer weekly maid services and all the maids are very caring,& helpful! Great location, great kitchenette for cooking meals and comfortable big rooms great for families who need extended stays.
- Cosby (10/5): My Family’s and I Love Woodsprings Suites North ! - The Staff did an outstanding job and service ! N/A
- Alijah (10/5): Exceptional -
- MARLA (4/5): - I will not stay here again. Blind broke, had to put wash cloth on it so could not see in. Walls had gashes in it. Bathroom door had fist hole in it. No dishes, etc and was a kitchenette.
- Nicole (2/5): Never again room 403 - It took me over an hour to check in. I did not have a working remote for my room. Then my TV wouldn't work, because there wasn't a cable box. I asked him to switch me to another room they said they were full. Okay fine, no problem. I said well I really need a TV. If not I feel like I should have gotten some type of discount. He said he could have maintenance come in the next day and look at it. I reminded him that I was leaving in the morning but I would really like a TV for the night. So he said he would go try to find a cable box. He came back with a cable box he finally was able to get my TV working. Which by this time it was after 7:00. I had checked in around 6:00. There is missing front parts to the drawers in the kitchen. There was a roach in the bathroom. I took a picture of it and show the lady the next morning when I checked out and all she did was apologize.
- CRMyers (2/5): Awful! - When we registered at the desk, we were told there was an added charge if we wanted sheets and towels. We could not believe what we heard. I’m e closing a few pictures of the room. It was awful. The walls were banged up. The rug was worn me dirty, the toilet looked like it hadn’t been used for a year, or had been cleaned. There was some object down the sink. No drain plug. A drawer was missing and a cabinet door was gone. It smelled and I sneezed all night. When I complained at the front desk the next morning. They apologized, asked if I had sheets, I said yes. He removed the linen charge and knocked about 10% off the bill. How this place got a travelers award I’ll never understand. Awful. Not at all like the pictures. No dust ruffle. A mattress on posts.
- Damiesha (8/5): Very good -
- Maria (2/5): - Absolutely disgusting. Stains on the bedroom sheets, red stain on the rug that looks like blood, roaches in the room. Left the same night we got there. DO NOT GO HERE
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Arrived to find that someone cancelled my booking. Then, had to wait to see if another room was available. After 40 minutes of giving front desk information. The computer "crashed" and I was asked to come back in about an hour or two. THAT, was not good. I return to finally get checked into a room at 7pm. ( intially, I arrived at 4:30)
I wish I knew this hotel was an " extended stay" hotel. Never saw those words on the website. The place is located in a very nice area, which made me think the hotel would also be nice. Boy, was I wrong. Run down. People moving out. Marijuana smell. Cigarette stale smoke lingered in my room, the hall. Bed was a platform, unusaual for a hotel and uncomfortable. No food service, breakfast. No amenities what so ever. I was shocked coming from a Hotels.com hotel. Ive always had nice, clean amenity serviced hotels with them.
TV didnt work. Young nice man at the front desk had to get a cable to connect it for me!
My bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke coming from the sink. Yelling in the hall around 3am. Loud talking outside my window around 1am. Couldnt go back to sleep. That hotel has no business being in that nice area. Its deceptive. I do not recommend anyine staying here, unless you're desperate. Very unpleasant, surprising unknown details that were left out of the description on the web site.
- Shampayne (1/5): Not very helpful at all very bad hospitality customer service and booking they over booked us on 5 rooms and it was a li - Nothing very rude angry and aggressive Everything staff very rude angry and aggressive
- Jones (4/5): Disappointing - The location and surrounding amenities. The smell of the hotel was not a pleasant scent. I didn't have a working television. Also one of my drawers was broken and leaning against the wall when I initially entered the room. As well as the water would not properly drain in the bathroom sink. In some instances, there would be standing water in the sink. There were no ashtrays provided either.
- Johnny (1/5): Didn't get the chance to stay. - I didn't like anything about it. I waited for 45min for someone to get to the front desk, just for them to tell me my reservation had gotten canceled. Then it took me about 3hrs to find place to stay.
- Scott (3/5): Same price as holiday inn - Seems to be clean TV didn't work
They wanted to sell me a hair drier
Desk person never there
Elevator seldom works
- D6359JAtr (2/5): Nasty!! - This place is disgusting! The housekeepers don't do a good job at all. They don't sweep the rooms. The place is now on a budget because they can't afford for guests to take an extra paper cup to their room.We have now been in 2 different rooms. They both have roaches! Do not stay here and waste your money!
- LightPacker520419 (2/5): Eghads - Horrible room, uncomfortable beds, broken blinds, maybe placed in wrong side? Where people who stay on vouchers stay. Scary rules kicked out if police come, kicked out if found drinking outside of room exc. Best part was the clerk at the desk who was sweet and kind. With taxes and fees became about 92 dollars for the night. I think maybe two sides because the reviews seemed so good.
- Chang gon (2/5): Bad experience - This was a truly terrible experience. The hotel claimed that our reservation was canceled due to overbooking. We hadn’t received any prior communication, but they insisted they had already notified us via email.
When I mentioned that I hadn’t received any email and asked to use the Wi-Fi to check my inbox, they even denied me access, saying I wasn’t a hotel guest.
In desperation, I went to a nearby McDonald’s to use their Wi-Fi and booked another hotel through their website. Unfortunately, due to the last-minute reservation, we ended up staying at a worse hotel for the same price.
I definitely won’t be booking this hotel again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I made a reservation, and this is the second time that when I arrived, they told me they had no rooms at all and no one to clean for those who had a late checkout. They did not offer to provide any other accommodations. Reservations should not be accepted unless you have rooms available.
- Antwyon (5/5): Passable -
- Talisha (4/5): - There nothing in kitchen to cook with or to eat with. You had to take the towels they provide down to front desk to exhange for new ones. They ask for your license plate number as well as they give a paper to hang in mirror, if that is not visable you will get towed regardless of your license plate.
- melissacW1983IM (10/5): Best hotel ever - This hotel is the best hotel smells fresh and clean and always friendly staff and take awesome care of you. House keeping does amazing and cleans the rooms up awesome. Danny,Ray,amber and Vicky and Jamel and Jeff and Tony are all amazing keep up the good work
- Malesha (1/5): very uncomfortable got move to a different room and still was - It had Roaches!
- Khester92 (10/5): Great stay - I cane to visit for a weekend and was looking for something accommodating to my needs and this hotel had everything i needed. Very reasonably priced! Clean rooms and very comfortable , friendly staff and very accommodating. Definitely will stay again.
- Mark (2/5): - Stay Away from this WoodS pring Suites - Columbus North!
1. This place is permeated with the smell of skunkweed marijuana. Stinks up your all you cloths, causes you to cough and burns your eyes at times.
2. Half of the lights in the room were burnt out; could hardly see in the sleeping area.
3. In the morning, no hot water in the sink. As I ran the water it started to flow out from under the sink across the floor.
4. In the kitchenette there was a draw missing; just a blank whole.
5. Several large bugs occupied the bathroom when we checked in.
We checked out first thing in the morning; cutting our trip short.
- 263laveras (10/5): I have to go back - I loved the stuff every friendly. Cool price would to go back again. I just wish there was a pool there for my kids to have some thing to do. I think there should be a gym there to give us some thing to do when we are at the hotel. I wash there was store inside of the hotel.
- Verified traveler (4/5): My reservation was made to an overbooked hotel. - I arrived around 1140pm to find that the front desk/check in closes at 11pm. There is no self check in available either. There was a sign hanging beside a phone that says to dial ### for after hours check in. I called 3x but no answer, then the phone rings back. I pick up and am told it's the manager on duty... He looked up my reservation and told me there were no rooms available and he already cancelled the reservation and I would not be charged. However 2 days later I noticed I was charged and called Hotels.com to ask to please get that fixed. It took 4 days total to get the refund. And if course I was not able to search for another room because by the time I left the woodspringit was after midnight.
- Kenje (2/5): - Booked 2 rooms. Upon arrival was told that we only get one now bc they overbooked. I was never notified of this until we got there to check in. Meanwhile we frantically searched for other hotels but everything was booked. We had no where to go. Suddenly the front desk had a room available. The rooms are dirty, smell like smoke, there is evidence of drug use in the rooms. Needle marks all over, crack pipe burns on different things in the room. In the morning the entire building smelled of pesticide. No breakfest, no hairs dryer, no coffee pot, no ice box, no extra towels or toiletries, blanket stained, fooor filthy. Overall one of the worst hotels we’ve ever stayed in. The photos on the website are extremely deceptive as it must have been taken when the place was first built and never stayed in. Do not recommend.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Disappointing after driving for so long! - I didn't get to stay here- they overbooked rooms and did not have a room for me upon arrival
- Melinda (10/5): - Was great stay
- Jessica (1/5): Not happy at all about the roaches we left before check out and no one seemed to care how upset we R - The staff at check in was nice They had roaches
- Angela (1/5): Would never book there again - Nothing didn’t get to check in, they were Rude!!!! They canceled my reservation for what ever the reason was, wasn’t a logical reason to me.
- M354MJernestoa (10/5): Great stay - Great team working here very polite and professional helped me in anything that I needed , rooms were very clean and comfortable to be in. I do recommend staying here if you are in the area for business or just for fun with family and friends great place
- Flyer04958149073 (10/5): Amazing Stay!! 10/10 - Excellent staff, Met One Named Terrill He Even Showed Us Around Before Getting To Our Room. He Was Super Nice. The Beds Are So Cozy I Didn’t Want To Get Out Of Them. The Housekeepers Did A Great Job Cleaning The Room, Even Came By From Time To Time To Clean When Necessary. My Stay Here Was Amazing I Absolutely Loved It. I’ll Highly Recommend This Stay To My Friends And Family.
- tarahN9360AQ (10/5): Awesome Hotel! - The bed was comfortable! The staff was really great! Told me information about the area! The housekeepers was accommodating when asked for more towels and toilet paper! The on site manager Terrill H was freaking amazing! Great conversation and you can tell he loves his job and the hospitality industry! Our stay was great!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not very clean or comfortable - Dead bugs on bathroom floor, drywall/paint peeling around the shower from water damage with mold all over it, mattresses extremely uncomfortable, room smelled damp and musty, hallways and elevator had a weird smell also. I understand you get what you pay for and this place was definitely on the cheaper side, but i still feel that some of these issues should have been addressed before booking a guest.
- Daniel (8/5): - The place was great and easy to find
- Z513PGemilyb (6/5): I think there's something paranormal in the room when you walk in go left down till the door it is the room by the door - I had a decent experience. The staff where nice and made sure me and my family felt comfortable, gave us extra pillows and towels. They didn't really clean the room up much idk if it was because I had to or what. Also had previous holes and the door look punched once I got into my room. I had told one of the lady's about it. And when I was there the only time I saw the cleaning person come in was before I left. There was also an incident where my door wouldn't open my key card unlocked the door, but something was holding it back. Like I had to use all my strength. I thought someone broke in so I had my babydad look around, and there was nobody. But I felt like it might of been paranormal or something, because it was held down pretty strong. After that I just left my stuff there and didn't come back. But it was a good start up until that point. Had me a little scared and freaked out. So I give this location a 3 outta 5.
- 880tausham (10/5): Great job - It was a great experience! Staff was amazing, clean room . And Terrill was awesome . Will be returning this summer… we are from Texas, but we have lots of family In the Columbus area. We usually stay at holiday inn but we gave this place shot … 10/10 will be returning
- baronl846 (10/5): Visiting - I had a nice time staying I also like that it is a dog friendly place! Reggie at the desk was nice and helpful and Shae was helpful snd answered all of the questions I had. The place was nice and clean , would recommend to friends and family! Thanks
- Steve (2/5): Don’t do it - There was no coffee in the hotel. No coffee maker either. How can you have a hotel with no coffee?? No shampoo. I had to wash my hair with the bar of soap. Oh, and my hotel room had a faint odor of urine.
- chereroshawnh (10/5): Amazing Hotel and Staff - My stay here was amazing! The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. They made my stay truly an enjoyable one! Kudos to William, the general manager, Terrell, Orchid, Dorothy, Jennika, Leslie, and Sergio. You are all amazing. Thank for the care and hospitality that you provide all of your guests.
- 894ocb (10/5): Woodspring suites is great - Onsite manager Terrill , is always great , he helps however he can. Room is always clean housekeepers arealways helpful .
- rikob2024 (10/5): An excellent stay with Woodspring Suites thanks to Azonte. - The front desk representative/ Hotel worker named Azonte, deserves a promotion and most definitely a raise! Azonte goes up and beyond to make sure that Woodspring Suites takes care of the customer. Azonte brings sheets to replace to my room. Azonte offers to change the sheets in my room. Azonte is literally the best person I have ever come in to contact with working in a hotel.
- taylormY2064RO (10/5): Excellent staff - Best staff, everyone is friendly, the rooms are all very clean and well taken care of, television and Internet both work great, always being greeted as soon as I walk in the door by someone working and they are always in a good mood check in and check out is very easy
- Antony (4/5): - The first room they showed us was disheveled, and occupied by someone the night before. Never been cleaned! The second room reeked of urine. Finally after the :rd room (Smelled like feet) we just conceded, my wife cleaned the room herself. To top it off I was Supposed to get $31 back, still waiting to see that money. Steer clear of this ratchet extended stay. You can thank me later.
