The guesthouse is run by a lovely family (it was a pleasure to meet you). My room was in the building opposite, so a separate entrance provided complete privacy. The room was basic but very clean and it had everything I expected: unlimited hot water in the shower, clean linens, a comfortable bed, a fan, and efficient air conditioning. The location is in the center of Kochi (all attractions are within walking distance), yet the guesthouse is located in a quiet neighborhood of beautiful houses – you don't hear the hustle and bustle of the streets, and instead, the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, with friendly people around. There was nothing to dislike. Even in Europe sometimes I didn't have such a great place to stay

Mention spéciale pour le petit déjeuner. Nous avons testé les deux formules (continentale et locale) et nous avons été ravis à deux reprises. • Shetty (10/5): Loved the stay at Bastian Homestay - I stayed with my family here for 2 nights. The rooms are very clean and spacious. It has a dining area just outside the room where you can sit and enjoy your meals comfortably. The owner of this place is very kind and sweet. We had requested many items like plates, bowls, hot water etc... which he gave to us happily. At last moment we needed a bag to carry back goods in flight, for which he quickly helped me to shop. Highly recommend this place for stay.
• Manon (10/5): - 夫婦がとても優しかった！ ここを通じて予約したカタカリダンスとバックウォーターツアーも相場通り（むしろ安い）で、とても楽しめた。おしゃれで高品質な服屋さんも素敵なマダムが教えてくれた。朝ごはんも美味しくて、外で蚊が嫌だと騒いでたらフロントで食べさせてもくれた😭🫶 値段が安いので心配していたが、部屋はピカピカに掃除されてたし、大きいお水も2本もらえた。冷えたお水も買える。 クーラーなしの部屋を予約してたことに気づいたが、課金すれば使えた。9月のケララは湿気がすごく、エアコンなしだと寝れなかった。

Auf Anfrage bekommt man alles: Backwaters (günstig und nicht ganz so kommerziel), Geldwechsel, Tipps, Zugbuchen, usw! Das ganze ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Haben mich super aufgenommen gefühlt. Frühstück war exzellent! Lage top! Etwas abseits der Straßen, somit sehr ruhig und trotzdem alles sehr gut zu Fuß zu erreichen

Todo fue muy bien. La habitación tenía ventilador potente, malla antimosquitos y baño privado. Las opciones del desayuno eran kerala y continental y he de decir que me gustó mas el de kerala. A la hora de irme me ayudaron a escoger el bus correcto hacia mi próximo destino. Fue una gran ayuda. Lo mejor fueron los anfitriones y la ubicación. Practicamente esta a 10 minutos de todo. De la estación de bus y ferri, de las calles principales y de restaurantes y sitios de ocio. Un 10.

Lo staff molto gentile, tramite loro abbiamo prenotato i biglietti per vedere la danza Kathakali. Provate la colazione tipica, per il prezzo ne vale davvero la pena!

• Dahal (10/5): A Homely Start to Our Kerala Journey - We traveled from Kathmandu to Kerala, and this was our first place to stay in Kochi. The property is run by a lovely couple who are incredibly sweet and polite. I feel bad for forgetting the name of the man, but I’ll never forget his kind gesture he gave us Nepali currency because someone had asked him to hand it over to a Nepali visitor. That moment truly reflected the humility and kindness of the people here. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the place made us feel completely at home. Thank you for everything❤️🙇‍♂️

• Naelle (10/5): Gentillesse des hôtes à peine croyable ! - Bastian et sa famille sont incroyablement gentil. Nous sommes arrivés en train à 6h30 du matin et après une nuit agitée, ils nous ont accueilli pour un check-in très matinal sans problème. Ils nous ont conseillé toutes les meilleures adresses et nous ont même réservé des tickets pour un spectacle de katachali. Nous avons pu laisser nos bagages sur leur surveillance après notre check-out et ils nous ont même, finalement, trouvé un tuk-tuk à prix défiant toute concurrence pour rejoindre Allepey. Ils ont vraiment tout fait pour rendre notre séjour le plus agréable possible sans surcroît et je les en remercie beaucoup.

• Jovanka (7/5): Modest stay, good for the price - The property is located in a nice area, making it a good starting point to explore Kochi Fort. The staff was very kind and helpful, and the breakfast was very good. Our bathroom didn’t look like in the photos of our room. Even though we did have hot water, it was through another lower tap and it had to be poured into a bucket first for showering. On the photos it looked like a normal shower with a possibility to adjust the water. At first I thought they gave us the wrong room, but when I asked, they said its not a mistake and that they just specified on the Booking page that the hot water is available, nothing else. I would prefer to know this before, as the photos can be misleading. There was no hairdryer.

Ginni and Bastian were wonderful hosts – very kind, helpful, and always available when I needed assistance. They helped me organize tours and taxis with reliable local contacts, which made planning my activities very easy and smooth. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, just what I needed to relax. I especially enjoyed the Kerala-style breakfast, which was different every day and always super tasty – definitely one of the highlights of my stay. The whole experience was absolutely worth the money – great value for the service and hospitality I received. Thank you again – I’d happily stay here again next time!
