Guest Reviews
- Jerry (2/5): DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY - The beds felt like you were sleeping on concrete. The water smelled like rotten eggs and the smell lingered the whole time we were there.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Hotels.com booked this reservation and the hotel has no computer check in so when i arrived the room i booked was gone and it was cheaper then booking with hotels.com...
Lady was very nice and was offering another room but wasnt what i wanted
- Melissa (10/5): Look beyond the appearances - If you look beyond the age of this place and are really there just to stay over a night, this is a cute place to be. The appearance may turn you away, but I was very comfortable sleeping, showering and even watching TV after using the microwave and fridge. The floor fountain needs work but for less than 60 including taxes, I'm very happy with this place!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I made reservations for a smoking room that was pet friendly. When we arrived they told me that they closed all their rooms. I showed them my reservation receipt and all they would do is put me in a non smoking room and NO PETS. Its -2° outside and smoking outside is just not going to happen. And what was i supposed to do about my dog??? We ended up having to go to another hotel and pay almost twice as much!
- Kimberly (8/5): Accommodating front desk - Accommodating & friendly front-desk. EASY to find! No handicapped-accessible room, however. No plug-ins by the beds. Asked for & got an extension cord to plug bi-pap in so I could place it near the bed.
- Jesse (2/5): Worst room ever known - This room was absolutely disgusting. The curtains were so stained with what looked like blood.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Place should not be open! We checked in. Went to get a clean washcloth and all of them had been used. Bed had burn marks in it, along with the sheet set that had not been changed since there was makeup on sheets along with other marks. The trash was still full from whoever stayed in the room before us. There were bed bug casts along the headboard. Man who lives in the room next to the one they rented to us, was "crazy" per the motel attendant who checked us out. He was outside wearing very little...and looking for things that didn't exist. Definitely did not feel safe. After 20 min, we got our refund and left!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointing - The front desk service wasnt bad. As soon as we walked into our room you could smell pee. The curtains had holes all through them. The shower water smelled terrible. The hot water ran out quickly. All in all i would not recommend this place to anyone with toddlers.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not recommended - The computer was down at registration. Bathroom didnt have a shutting mechanism. Paint peeling on the walls. Half the lights didnt work. Tv remote batteries dead. Front door knob kept sticking and not wanting to close. Not proper sheets on the bed. Dirt all over floor. Not clean or safe in my book.
- Beverly (2/5): - The check in was horrible. Ran the bell and had to wait 15-20 min before anyone showed up. Our room wasn’t ready. Then when we got in our room the floors were sticky and it had been smoked in!!!!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Handy to the road. Very Affordable. Clean comfortable room with wifi. Nothing exceptional.
- Lisa (2/5): - I got attacked by bed bugs in room 117. My arms are bit up. I could hardly sleep even though I was exhausted. The room isn’t level. The toilet wasn’t working properly. Ran out of hot water. It was overall pretty lousy.
Bed bugs are disgusting!!! Do not stay here!!
- Jan (10/5): Sweet hideaway - Nice, clean, simple, quiet and courteous!
- Russell (8/5): Clean and cheap - Cheap and cheerful it did the job
- Disgusted (2/5): - The facility was old, worn out, and dirty. The window wouldn’t lock, the door was starting to rot, and the linoleum in the bathroom was patched with packing tape.
- HattieSmith (8/5): - Liked the friendliness of staff. No coffee in room or on property. Very clean room
- Verified traveler (4/5): - At check in the lady was rude, I said I had on line reservations, she said she had no way getting online-luckily I had brought the sheet I printed out- the room smelled musty and old- the floors were dirty-the room only had two working light bulbs- in an attempt to air out the room and open the window-the screen was half missing-the drain in the tub did not work- the only thing this room had going for it was the bed was comfortable and firm (it was slanted 4 inches lower on one side but it worked)
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Horrible. I was staying by myself and it looked so dangerous and nasty. Someone could easily get into room
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't waste your time - Says pet friendly online and nothing about animal restrictions but refused my cat when I tried to check in. They also demanded a pet fee for a service animal. Rude employee who appeared to have just gotten out of bed.
- Brandi (2/5): I wouldn't recommend it! - You get what you pay for. The walls had stuff spilled on them all over. No hot water. To scarey to take a shower anyway.
- Joy (8/5): - Clean and quiet with micro and refrig. Bring your own coffee and breakfast.
- K.wahab (8/5): - Price is good, without spending lots of money to sleep 5 hours
- Mel (8/5): - Motel is old but clean An room was comfortable ! No bugs first thingI checked about would use again enjoyed being close to where I wanted to visit an not pay the higher amount in larger area!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Don’t expect a glamorous hotel, but for the price it is not bad. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bed was fine and the room was clean. It is very close to a train track, so I was awakened at 2 and 4 am by a loud train.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient Hotel off the highway - Very close to the highway, about an hour outside of St. Louis. Great value, but not exceptional in any way. One issue: the lock on my doorknob did not work; the deadbolt did though.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very run down - No chain for door and poor lighting going in at night. Phone did not work. Carpet and bathroom floor dirty. Beds only has sheets and a bedspread and no blanket and pancake pillows.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible place - Worst place on Earth....so bad I saw it and walked away
- Verified traveler (2/5): Hotel supposed to be close to Hermann - The website did not show how this dive really looked. It is a mess! Not only did we not stay there, our weekend was ruined! I booked this a month and a half before hand and could not find anything else, due to the fact it was last minute because the Colonial Inn was so bad! Ruined our plans!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Tired - Tired and run down. Both the grounds and rooms show neglect, or disinterest, perhaps. The old place needs some TLC.
- No Name (6/5): Good for one night only - I just stopped here to get off the road after a long drive. Nothing was particularly wrong with the place. The room was clean and so was the bathroom, there was cable and the owners were friendly and accommodating. It's on the side of a busy highway, so nothing spectacular, if you can put up with the noise. It was a good place to stay for one night only.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Nice close to interstate - Ac stayed on high no matter how adjusted 90 % of all ballgame channels not viewable..no coffee no breakfast.
No sofa..sad sad sad
- Norma (4/5): Heir on the bed - When I was ready to go to I discover heirs about one inch to two inches on the upper side of the bed nasty!!!! I wanted to complain, but my husband didn't let me and he cleaned it again nasty couldn't sleep well. I told the lady at the front desk when I checked out.
- Verified traveler (8/5): If you're in need of some sleep... - This place is one of those roadside motels where you pull over and sleep for a few hours because that's safer than sleeping in a truck stop. The people who run it are friendly and helpful. It's clean but bare bones, with exception for the TV service, which is satellite.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Awful. I book my room ahead of time and it wasn't even ready from 12:30 at night to get into a smelly room.
- Carol (8/5): Great room for the price. - Clean, inexpensive room with friendly service.
- Christopher (2/5): Stay somewhere else. - Mouse droppings all over. Room was very worn down, walls were dirty, bed uncomfortable.
- Sarah (8/5): - The service was good the beds aren't that great but overall it wasn't bad
- Beulah (10/5): Convenient and Clean. - Our stay was great. We stayed there because it was close to where we needed to be for Thanksgiving. The owner was very nice and the room was clean and smelled so nice when we checked in. My request for non-smoking was taken to heart. Would stay here again. Love the restaurants, especially Frumpy Joe's. So friendly there. Felt like home. Awesome people in Mo.
- jamie (6/5): Clean room - Overall it was a pleasant stay I can't complain for the price, and was upgraded to a king. Very good customer service.
- Lora (2/5): - Very small and not clean couldn't wait to get out of there
- Diana (8/5): Easy to find motel - Not a bad place . Room was big and clean . Hot shower. Refrigerator and microwave in room. No coffee pot . But owner was able to give me one for my stay. The price I paid was 65.00 plus tax during Oktoberfest. The beds were comfortable. I would recommend this motel. But the outside needs some work.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Better than sleeping in a car - It was better than sleeping in the car. If noise from the highway bothers you, don't bother staying. Room was old, reminded us of a horror film. Bed was very uncomfortable. Heater was broken, so it was cold even with the blankets. Bathroom was old, didn't try showering.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not clean enough for my family to stay the night. - When we found the dirty sheet (also with a cigarette burn hole), we just asked for a replacement sheet. He delivered it, but as we were going to put it on, we found the toilet wasn't clean. And the family room didn't smell wholesome. So, we ended up getting our money back and driving on into the night. Good choice.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It was an inexpensive place to sleep (if you can sleep) as the hotel is roughly 50 feet from the interstate.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very old motel that is in VERY POOR condition. - The slope of the room is so very severe that you walk down upon entering. The bed is on that slope so if you try to sleep on right side you roll to left. There was only one bath towel for the two of us which was discovered after it was too late to walk to office for another & it was dirty. Water from faucets was brown & rusted. Room smelled like mold. Late at night arrival or we would have requested a refund
