- Rémi (10/5): Une auberge dans laquelle on se sent comme chez soi - Nous avons passé un très bon moment. La maison est magnifique et tellement chaleureuse ! Tout est décoré avec beaucoup de goût. L’emplacement est parfait, on peut s’y garer sans problème et descendre dans le centre ville à pieds en 10 minutes. Tous les produits sont locaux ce qui est un gros plus. L’hôtesse est quelqu’un d’adorable et de chaleureux, on s’est sentis très bien accueillis. Le déjeuner était un vrai régal. Bref, une auberge où on se sent comme chez un ami !

A wonderful place to stay inAlma. This was our second visit as we circled the lake by bike. It is only a couple of blocks from the bike path.

A lot of flexibility to be outside on the property. The breakfast was excellent. We were walking distance from restaurants and downtown.

- Wayne (10/5): - The original house was built 1905 and still carries its charming character. It sits on 3/4 acres lot with big backyard and spacious parking area. Inside the house is well structured and maintained. Nice dining living room as well as all the bedrooms. The bathroom was very clean with everything you’d need. Breakfast was simple and fresh. It’s a nice getaway place for day or two.

The location is close enough to the downtown area so walking is a very good option. Also this B&B is close to the Riverbend area where the managers of the Hydro project had their houses.

It's very obvious customer service and satisfaction is important to them and that made our stay enjoyable. Very helpful with advice about the local area as well as the surrounding regions. - sathontheroad (8/5): A warm and wonderful place to stay in Alma - My husband and I recently stayed at Gite Almatoit and it was a wonderful experience. The gite is well located within walking distance of restaurants, and easy to access from the highway. The hosts were very friendly and helpful in providing advice about things to see and do in the area, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast, served at a large communal table, was delicious. We would highly recommend this B&B to travellers to the beautiful Lac St Jean region.

- Detlev (10/5): Perfect get-away - The Gite is located near the center of the city, so all action and restaurants are accessible by short walk. However it is on a side street, so it is very quite. The ambience of this typical townhouse is very charming and well preserved. The host is super friendly and will show you to oyur romm as well as the common rooms. Breakfast is served with all the local, natural and flavorful delights of the region which make the stay even more exceptional. Love to come back...

- johnmO7185QL (10/5): A delightful historic house and a warm welcome. - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Almatoit. This is an historic house being given a new lease of life by a young family. Our room was large and the bed was most comfortable. The en-suite was excellent and the general cleanliness of the house is very good. The house is just a short walk from the town centre and the recommended restaurants were very good. We received good suggestions for sight-seeing and things to do. If you do stay here do go to the Zoo Sauvage in St. Felicien and to the historic village of Val Jambert; each is worth a full day. The breakfasts were good and we met some very pleasant people around the breakfast table. Our hostess was delightful and her two children were great fun and well mannered. We had a wonderful stay, albeit, too short. Thank you.

- Oneandapenny (10/5): Homely B&B with a warm welcome - A warm welcome awaits you at this B&B in a historic house a short walk from the centre of the town. Located in a quiet side street with easy parking. Rooms have been nicely decorated in keeping with the house and are clean and comfortable. Our bathroom was a good size with bath and shower over. Breakfast was very good, comprising home made yogurt, fruit juice, fruit and croissant with ham. Would definitely choose Almatoit if we visit Alma again.

The breakfast is delicious and well-prepared. A great place for family and friends. Choose this place for a lovely experience different from hotel stay.
- tracey123xx (10/5): Beautiful and quiet.... - What a beautiful and very simple place to stay. Aurélie and Vincent are wonderful hosts . their 2 children are beautiful. The rooms are spotless and beds are very comfortable.. The breakfast was amazing and catered to myself with a food allergy.. Thanks for the special treatment. The cheese served was from the area around Alma...The Home is a vintage home with a great history, Ask Aurelie to tell you the story. The home is within walking distance to the town, We had bikes and they had a garage to lock up at night.
