Door to connecting room had been kicked in at some point and was barely secured. Very little outside lighting. Handicapped access was difficult with a walker, can't imagine having to have a wheelchair-just very small. No handrails and shower not handicapped accessible.
• Kelly (4/5): - We were thankful for a comfortable bed, and quick check in. AC was iffy, at best, and the carpets in the hallway and room really need a good vaccuming (toenail clippings on our bedroom floor, for example), but the bathroom surfaces appeared to be pretty clean.

Breakfast area chairs soo much com webs. Not clean!! FILTHY!! Lets not even talk about the complintary breakfast.! Worst!! I can go on about the establishment, but not worth it!! HORRIBLE!!!!

• Ben (6/5): - the motel was one of the best by the lake 35 years ago need to slurry seal the parking lot and that would dramatically improve the appearance the tub/shower was a kit that assures cleanliness 100 a night was great for fourth of July weekend

The shower had mold in the ceiling. The tv flicked and was all fuzzy trying watch shows. The hot tub wasnt working and the steam room didnt get hot. Breakfast was donuts from grocery store and coffee was the worst i have ever tasted. Only thing good about the place is it is 2 minutes from Indiana Beach. We paid $111 a night. This was not a resort its a ran down motel. $40 a night would be fair.

I like that the outside hottub wasnt used as such instead we were able to use as the kiddie pool which worked out wonderfully. Overall our experience was a wonderful experience.

The bathroom ceiling had mold on it; otherwise the room was clean. The breakfast was store box donuts not from bakery section, toast, cereal or yogurt. The coffee was good and the hotel staff was friendly and they were there to fill the breakfast area as needed. The pool was outside and it was nice.
• Ida M (2/5): NOT GREAT - The place looks clean but not really . The floor is ceramic tiles, looks like it hasn't had a good washing in years. I brought my disinfectant spray to be safe. The remote was disgusting so it got its first Microban bath in a while along with the rest of the room. The bedding smelled clean and washed from bleach but when whoever made the bed must have stepped on it because there was a little dirty print. Luckily I brought a king size sheet to cover the bed, and our own pillow cases to cover the pillows. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and it smelled bad. We will never stay here again. We only stayed because it's the only place that allows dogs. It was a BIG mistake. This place wasn't good enough for my dog much less a human being. I'd give a zero but the staff is friendly so they get 1 star.

• John (10/5): - It was close to where I was working at. It was quiet, I was able to get a good night's sleep without any drama, The price was a little more than I usually like to pay but that area is booming and every other hotel was about $20 more a night.

The breakfast area was a bit off-putting; we stayed during the off season and the hot tub (in the breakfast room) was empty but had leaves in it. The beds are not the most comfortable, but I've also had worse. Trying to give a fair yet honest review. For a budget motel, it was a pleasant experience. Overall, we would stay here again.

Not Pine View's fault, but next door female patrons sat outside drunk and foul-mouthed until 3:00 a.m. Past experience says it's no use suggesting drunk women tone it down. Tells you all you need to know of the place.
• Paul (4/5): - First off, The room was $140/night. I'm sorry, but for that price I was expecting more than what was there. The room is just a basic room that is out dated and done in the cheapest way possible. Secondly, there are a couple dilapidated buildings that were obviously part of the plan many years ago but are no longer used...or cared for. I would not stay here again, not even for half the price.
• Natalie (2/5): - Well, it was not good. In fact, downright terrible. For starters, Pine View Resort is way outdated of a motel to be charging $150 a night. It should be more like 50 dollars a night. Secondly, how can you call a motel a resort when it has the following: broken and/or worn out benches, weeds growing everywhere, an abandon and run down building on the corner of the property, no workable ice machine by the Pine View Lodge Building, and barely a continental breakfast with only milk, coffee, and breakfast rolls or muffins. Thats more Iike breakfast on the go. We had to have the toilet in our room unclogged because it wasn't flushing properly. My husband Mark was very bothered by the negligent condition this motel has become, and was about ready to call both The Indiana State Board of Health as well as The Better Business Bureau in regards to overpricing of rooms based on condition of buildings. We have both decided against staying at this place again and believe it either needs to be condemned or under better management that's willing to start making improvements.

Inside room was dingy, towels and sheets were old and worn out, fridge did not work, clock did not work, wood work chipped and in need of paint. On top of all that, the room charge was $140 which was outrageous. $60 would have been more palatable.

• Marci (2/5): - I thought I was getting a nice still in a lodge I was put in the room in the back 40 felt something crawling on a Friday night didn’t think much of it was tired came back from indiana beach on Saturday and we noticed blood on the sheets and we flipped mattresses and found about 45 bedbugs on each bed. We went to the front office. She told me to call back on Monday and I may get my refund for Friday Saturday night. She put back on my credit card even though I paid cash for my rooms. wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy

• J7668TSmichellej (10/5): Great 2 nights. July 3-5 - Married 27 years in July 4th. Clean rooms, clean pool, pet friendly! We had a great time!! Stayed 2 nights. Our first time staying here. Friendly staff! Friendly visitors! We will definitely be back next year! Everything was just so perfect.
• Gina (2/5): - After we checked in, we were told that our room was actually in a different building adjacent to the property. This building and room looked nothing like the pictures we saw when booking online. The room was filthy and everything was falling apart. The playground area was all broken and highly dangerous to which I was afraid my small children were going to injure themselves. The picnic benches were all broken and there were missing backs to chairs. The dining room had a hot tub inside of it that was empty but for some green moldy water that was left after someone drained it. The hot tub was in ground with no safety guards around it and no top and if you wanted one of the mini muffins they offered as their breakfast, you'd have to sit next to the green water. I was hoping no one was going to accidentally fall in. The only saving grace of this property was the patio on the outside of the room but you nearly had to throw your arm out of the socket to open the sliding glass door to get out to the cement slab with a few broken chairs outside of it. This place is dangerous.

• Tanya (2/5): - I requested a refund immediately upon looking at the rooms. They were filthy and upon asking for a refund letting them know the rooms were disgusting there was no more conversation about the rooms. I’m sure this happens to them on a regular basis.

Don't know where to start, 1000 cigarette butts outside our door, air conditioning didn't work, bugs, a filthy, empty hot tub in the breakfast area, 90 degrees outside and the pool was freezing, shrubs and flowers around the pool all dead. Just terrible!

• Sarah (2/5): - This is not a resort, this is a motel. You end up in a building around the back in a sketchy looking area. My room has a whole in the ceiling, mildew on the shower curtain that stunk horribly so I couldn’t even shower. The comforter has holes in it, filthy lamp shade, the TV remote didn’t work properly and the chair in the room was filthy. DO NOT STAY HERE! I have pictures that I am going to post.
• Jennifer (2/5): horrible place stay away! - stay away the pics were very decieving. the rooms we were in were located in another part of the property the toilet made a loud squealing when flushed what appeared to be blood on the lamp shade the playground has seen better days and i could barely understand what anyone at the service desk was even saying as i dont speak the language they did

Requested a blanket and they told her to make a room upgrade or leave. How is this professional. The room overall was in very rough shape. Very disappointed.

• Chris (2/5): STAY AWAY - Bait and Switch - WARNING. Pictures and bookings are misleading. You will most likely not be placed in the cute rooms show on this site and others. Instead you will be placed in the long very old and DANGEROUS and NOT SAFE building along West Norway road. When we arrived there were a bunch of guys drinking outside. Upon checkin they told us we were in this back building. We drove up and in the room next to ours, there was a car with its front tire off and the car resting on its rim. The tire was in the next parking space. Outside the room was a bunch of suit cases, a table and chairs, a little pool for dipping your feet in, and a bunch of stuff that looked like it belongs in an abandoned storage locker. We go into the room and it is DIRTY. There is only the overhead working bright CFL light. The door does not have any safety deadbolt on it. There is no deadlock, just a twist lock. I then checked the window, and the lock does not work - ANYONE can just slide the window open. Throughout the rest of the parking lot were very run down cars. A number of the rooms had stuff outside the rooms. We left immediately. On the plus side - the front desk gave us a refund even though we had booked through this site. FWIW, The "front" hotel - the one in the pictures - looks very nice, safe, and well maintained. The back hotel that you will be put into - is not.

• Elizabeth (8/5): - Nice, clean room. Firm mattress, good water pressure. Breakfast was disappointing. But I highly recommend Esmerelda's in Monticello! Great breakfast buffet and menu.

• Ray (6/5): Motel, not "resort". - Monticello is a good area, but don't be fooled by the "resort" in the titlebof this place. Its a motel, and a run down cheap one at that. During my stay, people partying and showing off their motorcycles kept the noise level up. Its possible the main building is better?
• Verified traveler (6/5): Needs updating. - When I arrived staff was pleasant. Hotel picnic/guess area was trashy. Had a few flies and spiders in my room being that I was in the back surrounding a fields. They didn’t bother me and I didn’t bother them lol. I know now to stay in the the front part of the hotel. Breakfast was not enough 6-10 was nothing left at 8. Overall it was close to where I needed to be, not crowded could use more lighting in the back parking/sitting area to guest rooms. I would stay again for a night.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Beware - Thankfully we didn’t end up staying due to a covid diagnosis the day of, but our friends left bc their room was disgusting. Dirty and even showing mold. The week before the hotel tried to kick our reservation due to them over booking even though we had originally booked in April, 5 months in advance. Wouldn’t recommend based on customer service or our friends in person experience of cleanliness.
• Steven (4/5): - If you care about staying in a clean and comfortable environment do not stay here. The photos that are shown are of the actual resort. When you ckeck in and then have to drive around the back to stay in the "lodge", motel you feel like you were ripped off. Do not stay here. Its very dirty and you will not get any sleep. Wish i could post photos.
• David (2/5): - It looked like a Ghost town at 7pm. When we arrived the lady was on the phone and their Overdue water bills were in plain sight!! Pool area was dirty, the hot tub was broken and has been for over a year. We canceled our reservation and went to Alexander's Landing

• Lesa (2/5): - Pictures are very deceiving, the room you get is nothing like the photos. Ice machine didn't work. Mold growing on the wall by the shower, towels were fread, floors were dirty. Breakfast consisted of hard day old doughnuts. Pool was cloudy. So Not worth the money
• Carol (4/5): Golf View Resort. - Difficult recognizing because now called Pine View Golf Resort. There are 2 buildings and back building is the Pine View. Grounds very shabby and no lighting in parking are at night. Rooms simple but clean. Limited electric outlets. No phone for emergencies. No hair dryer . All linens and towels threadbare. Main concern was we always prepay our trips and booked for 2 nights. We’re told they always only let 1 night be charged and then you pay there for any other nights. That is their policy. Showed my confirmation that I paid 2 nights to Hotels.com and would not accept it. That should be told at time reserving. Unfortunately, my email confirmation did not show the pricing and I had failed to print out the facility info and what I paid. Hotels.com could not print it out when we got home and now we are waiting for our charge card statement. We won’t ever do that again and be prepared to pay additional nights. Rooms in main building look more updated. Close to Indiana Beach and could see fireworks from our room. We were the second to last room in the view building -farthest away from pool, breakfast area and office. Not the most convenient for us seniors and we were only guests in that whole side of rooms. Never could figure where the golf course is.
• Josie (2/5): - I didnt like anything. None of the staff were very helpful, I had made a reservation and ended up having to get a different room. The room was filthy, stained sheets, dirty floor, old and dirty rug, moldy fridge, etc. They didnt want us to show them what was wrong with our room even after the second room they let us look at was just as bad. Thankfully a refund was issued.
• Amanda (2/5): BED BUG NIGHTMARE - We had a really late check in so we were just exhausted. First impressions not good...The fridge was open, dirty & rusted. The floor could have been swept. Dust everywhere. Our comforter was stained so I took it off & slept with just the sheets. We just wanted to sleep shower in the morning & get the heck outta there. For $101 we were not impressed in the slightest. Well..the thing I couldn't get past was when I woke up there was a bug crawling on the comforter on the floor. I took a picture & looked it up...a bed bug!!!!! Then I looked at the other bed & seen another one!! We left immediately. Requested a refund because of everything. The owner told us NO REFUND! He was extremely rude & I have never had such an awful experience in a hotel/motel.
• Travis (2/5): - This is the worst room I have ever rented. Believe the reviews and DO NOT STAY HERE!!! 1. Hotel website advertises $70, charged $90 tax. 2. Hotel website and Expedia advertises 4 star hotel. It is a 1 star hotel. 3. Hotel website and Expedia advertise pictures of one building, but rooms are booked in a different building. Told to pay $50 more to stay in the advertised room. 4. There is not ONE light in the parking lot, or on the exterior of the hotel that has outward facing doors. Everyone has the cover of darkness, all night, to enter you room and vehicle. 5. Room is literally 10’x16’. 6. Shower dripped loudly all night. 7. Fridge was unplugged upon arrival. 8. No room number displayed anywhere. 9. Several stains on the floor. 10. Cigarette burns in the blankets. 11. Yellow stains on the sheets. 12. Remote to tv didn’t work. 13. A used bar of soap was left in the shower. 14. A/C worked, but very loud at times. 15. Multiple live Spider webs above the bed. 16. A partially used bottle of body soap left for us to use from the previous guest’s stay. 17. Water sprayed far away from the bathroom sink when turned on. 18. No bag for dirty clothes. 19. No do not disturb sign. We stayed one night and will never come back. If we booked more than one night we would have ate the money, and slept somewhere else. • Thomas (2/5): A traveler - We had made a reservation for this hotel, but it was a terrible experience. We were able to get a refund and go to another hotel. The receptionist was very nice, but the hotel is not good. The room wreaked of smoke. They didn't have any smoke free rooms. Outside had cracked concrete and weeds growing up through the cracks. Terrible experience.

• DENISE (2/5): - The owner or manager was the worst . I tried to let him know there was a maggot on my bed and he yelled saying it wasn’t . I took a pictures of it and he still didn’t believe me .
• John (6/5): Our Experience - Pictures seemed a little misleading. When you chose a room. FYI there is a extension from the main office of room. I think with some better up keep this would be a good place for a room.

• Brett (2/5): Unsafe and scamming - It's a scam they have a disgusting hotel with doors that don't lock properly but if you show up and check the room and don't like it you lose half your money
• David (6/5): Wouldn't recommend... - First impression was us being met by an unfriendly desk clerk. The lobby itself is dark with dimly lit hallways. The smoke detector was beeping in our room from having a dead battery. Took well over 2 hours before they replaced it. The hot tub was out of service. Probably wouldnt stay here again.
• H2883YGjonb (4/5): One Night Stay for my Mom's 88th Birthday - The room was actually very clean and good. Management allowed some people to party until 4 AM and they were yelling and cursing so much. Will question staying here again since they never enforce quiet time after 11 PM on weekend nights.

• Chelso (10/5): Dawn is the best - Dawn was amazing…. Made the whole proelcess smooth and went above and beyond to make my stay awesome.
• Sherry (10/5): Nice and friendly - Had a good time, everything was clean. The suite room was a good size and had some jets in the tub which I loved but didn’t expect.
• Michael (6/5): - Support staff was very helpful and understanding of the issue that occurred. The site should be more honest about the rooms they are advertising at the "best rate" quotes. When I checked in they stated that the rooms were in the other building outside the main motel. I could upgrade for $10 a night, but I was only sleeping there - so no need to upgrade - but the rooms were not suitable at all with tile floors, strong cigarette smoke smells and what appeared to be mold on the ceiling to me. I was told by family that the outer building was for folks who come to fish and for construction workers. So I went to the night staff and upgraded the room and had to pay the extra just to get a normal room. They need to be honest on the site about the rooms.
• Renee (8/5): - The gentleman at the front desk was nice. I slept great, the beds were comfortable. Everything was pretty clean. I noticed a few minor things because I've worked in hotels for 13 years but overall it was nice. Also it may be nice to let people know that the fridge and microwave are not turned on when you first check in. I would stay again.
• izzysdad1 (2/5): Bates Motel Redux - My wife and I came with our golden retriever one dark and stormy night. We were told that the credit card reader didn't work and we had to go to an ATM to get cash. Then we were told that because of the dog we had to stay in another building around the corner. We came to a long row of rooms, all unoccupied. It looked like a typical storage facility. No lighting. The room had 2 queen beds, one was "OK", but when we turned back the cover of the second bed, there was no sheet, only a liner, which was loaded with dead fleas. We did get a full refund, but were advised that we probably wouldn't get a room elsewhere because there was a murder in town. We called the Best Western down the road, and despite their no dog policy, were kind enough to let us stay... same price, breakfast, pool, workout room, and believe it or not, a full basketball court.
