- Gabriella (10/5): Beautiful view, very calm, very comfortable - Amazing view, beautiful peaceful cottage what I rented. In the cottage was everything what I needed and plus lots of extra in the kitchen. The Host was very helpful. Everything was very comfortable. Homer Spit was about 10 kms. Loved it!

- Mark (10/5): Good Karma Inn is the best in Homer! - Oh, this place is a dream! The rooms are so beautiful and the deck looks out over the bay. The house is filled with beautiful art and unique sculptures. Our host was wonderful, friendly and a great cook. This is the second time we have stayed at Good Karma and it was just as lovely as two years ago. This time we brought our friends to share this wonderful experience. Highly recommend. Will return. Can't think of a thing.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephanie (10/5): The view is like a painting! - This is a beautiful property with a breathtaking view. The main home has 3 available rooms with private bathrooms. The home is decorated with many pieces from local artists. There is also a separate guest cottage. The owner makes breakfast every morning from 6 am to 8:30 am. The rooms are nicely sized, and the beds are very comfortable. The home is about 7 miles from town, but the extraordinary view is worth it!
- Warren (10/5): - Fantastic views and Tim, the host, was awesome. Made breakfast every morning and visited with me. He was truly a pleasure to converse with.
- Katherine (10/5): - We loved Good Karma Inn. Mike is top notch! We wanted to take his precious dog, Luna home with us. Loved everything about this inn and will return one day. Thanks, Mike!

- Ashley (10/5): Good Karma and a Great Rest - The owner was friendly and very helpful, making recommendations. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the view was amazing. Very peaceful for a weekend break.
- Anonymous (10/5): Great location with an excellent view and good coffee. - Mike is a great host who really makes the guests feel like family. The location has a fantastic view and is just a quick jaunt down to the spit and to old town without being in the middle of all the tourists. The space has great art and good energy. There’s a fire pit out front and nice places to sit outside and visit. Mike makes a great cup of coffee, too! It was all good.
- Rory (10/5): I will return. - Great person in charge
- Patrick (10/5): Excellent ! - Great location. Clean and comfortable rooms. Michael, the owner will go out of his way to help you with your plans and share his knowledge of the area. And he is such a nice person !
And for those who will be coming from France, he speaks French. Still wondering…
- David (10/5): - Michael was one the best hosts we've had TY o deal with. From moment we walked in, he was friendly and very helpful pointing out places to eat, viewing spots and hiking. Having been there 33 years, he knows a lot about the area. The view from any room is phenomenal as you are high up and can see across the bay to view glaciers and mountains. I highly recommend The Good Karma.
- Donna (10/5): Had a great stay! Michael was a great help on all things local - fishing, dining and sightseeing -
- Beverly (9/5): Superb -
- Eugene (9/5): Stay was quiet and convenient to go to Lans Inn - Breakfast was good and on time. Access was great. Every thing was OK.
- Conor (10/5): One of the best places I've ever stayed. Mike was fantastic will recommend to everyone. -
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Beautiful property and Mike was an exceptional host. I wish we had had more time.
- Ronnie (6/5): For the money we spent, these accommodations were disappointing. - The breakfast was not what we expected; we had egg and polish sausage with English muffin one day and cereal the next. The view of the mountains from the Inn was beautiful, but the yard was very overgrown. We were cautioned about using too much water due to the fact that the water had to be delivered because of the silt in the Homer water. We were there for two days and when we asked for washcloths for the 2nd day we were informed that the room came with 2 washcloths. When we acknowledged that, he did go ahead and give us two more for the second day.
- LAIMONIS (10/5): - Where do I begin? The history of the house/log home- built by the host- is amazing! The property is epic and is a special place to enjoyed by a lucky few. Breakfast-yum! Travel tips- helpful/insightful. The peace, quiet and fresh air made our vacation to Good Karma Inn an A !
- Anonymous (7/5): very nice place but like living in grandparents museum. And don’t choose the wrong coffee pot he will have an out of bod - Great view, nice yard and patio. really cool wood carvings. bathroom hadn’t been bleached down in some time. shower curtain and stall had shower scum and black mold. listing showed community kitchen but it’s his personal kitchen and you can’t touch anything in it. pet cover for bed was soured from sitting in washer too long.
- Peter (10/5): What a place, what a view and what a great host! -
- Vaughan (8/5): - The view form the property is gorgeous and Michael is a great host.
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kim (10/5): - A very cozy stay with a friendly kind knowledgeable and helpful host.
- Steven (10/5): Great stay and would definitely recommend - The owner was great and gave us a lot of tips on nothing
- Suzanne (10/5): - We loved our time at the Good Karma Inn. Michael, the owner, was very thoughtful and kind. We felt very welcome in his lovely inn. We enjoyed talking with him and he made us delicious breakfasts, dinner reservations and offered advice about how to enjoy Homer. The scenery and setting of the Good Karma Inn are extraordinary, and it was a pleasure to come back in the evening and enjoy the view of the mountains and the glaciers from the deck. We hope to return one day.
- David (10/5): - The property is in a beautiful natural location overlooking the bay and surrounding mountains from a slight elevation. Spectacular views were enjoyed from the room and attached deck. The resident flock of sandhill cranes are wonderful to watch. The owner/host was extremely helpful in getting reservations at the last minute for a restaurant and water taxi. His idea for a local day hike to a nearby glacier lake was a highlight of our Alaskan vacation.
- Andrew (10/5): - Good Karma Inn is a beautiful property with amazing views. Michael the owner is a generous and helpful host who made me feel most welcome. Highly recommend!
- Jeanie (10/5): - This is a beautiful custom log home, with exceptional views of Kachemak Bay. Its wonderfully quiet and peaceful with only 4 units. The wonderful work of local artists, are displayed throughout the property. Michael is an engaging host and cooks a hearty breakfast.
The only comment I have is, the mattresses could use an update.
- David (10/5): - Quiet great view close enough to everything best place to stay in Homer
- Steven (10/5): - Great view of Kachemak Bay and Homer Spit. Across the bay mountains, ice fields and glaciers. Tons of wildlife on site and nearby. Staff is outgoing, friendly and knowledgeable of the area.
The drive from Anchorage or Seward is long with limited cellphone coverage. Notification of anticipated arrival time to staff is highly recommended.
- richard (10/5): - Awesome view- great host!
- Joseph (10/5): - The property is beautiful and is the perfect place to recharge after a busy day in Homer. The views are magnificent, the rooms are big, comfortable and inviting, the home decor is stunning and the host makes the stay the best experience possible.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful Stay - Great Accommodations… phenomenal views. Wildlife all around saw sandhill cranes moose (one with two newborns) right outside our window. Dog friendly and relaxed setting!
- Theodore (10/5): - It is an excellent property. The owner takes a lot of pride in his facility and is always available if needed. Our family greatly enjoyed our stay. We felt as comfortable as being home, but in a better location. The owner provided us with excellent tips about the area (including where to dine). He was spot on! I highly recommend the Good Karma Inn!
- Biren (10/5): - Excellent property with amazing view of ocean and mountain backdrop. Host is friendly and gave ton of good recommendations. One of the best stays I’ve had in recent times.
- Courtney (10/5): Our favorite lodging in Alaska!! - Photos can’t describe the amazing view from the deck of each room from this inn! Michael is warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and generous. We loved our time here and hope to return soon!
- Paula (10/5): - Our host Michael was extremely knowledgeable about the area, gave great recommendations for meals, hikes, drives and art galleries in the area. The view is beyond amazing! The property is beautiful, very comfortable and peaceful!
- Jane (10/5): Stay here!!!!! - Amazing experience here. Beautiful place, incredible views, clean, comfortable beds, good made to order breakfast and a host willing to help you with ideas on how to experience Homer and give you Alaska history. It was a magical couple of days. Thanks Michael.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful view. Helpful host who knows the community and available activities. Comfortable room. Breakfast prepared upon request. Michael!!
- Neil (10/5): 5 stars - 1 million dollar view. Fantastic log home built by owner who lives on site. Great cook. Breakfast filling and tasty.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful location and accommodation. Warm and comfortable with amazing views of the bay. The host is wonderful, knowledgeable about the area and very welcoming! Would definitely stay again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful property and view. Friendly host.
- Jeffrey (10/5): A Jewel in Paradise - The Good Karma Inn is a jewel, mainly due to the owner and host - Michael. He chose a fantastic location and made sure that your bedroom would be very comfortable, with the finest views. A nice breakfast each morning and enjoyable conversation made everything seem just perfect.
- Jason (10/5): Good Karma about the Good Karma Inn - Michael was an amazing host and the Good Karma Inn was the perfect place to stay!
Right from the start, Michael was very communicative and welcoming. It made our stay that much more of a pleasant experience. Additionally, the stories he shared added to the experience and helped personalize the trip.
The Good Karma Inn was easy to find, had a beautiful, not too far from the center of town, and was very clean and complimenting.
When visiting Homer again, I will most definitely be staying at the Good Karma Inn again.
- Adam (10/5): Perfect stay with eye-popping views - I had the pleasure of staying at the Good Karma Inn in early July and honestly couldn’t have had a better stay. Michael is an outstanding host, was welcoming and communicated great even before my arrival, was helpful with all questions, and makes a great breakfast to boot.
I consider myself well traveled, have been to over 30 countries, and I’ve had the opportunity to stay in many different venues, and I don’t know that I’ve seen better views than I saw through my bedroom window at the Good Karma Inn. The hotel sits on a hill overlooking the bay with snow-capped mountains behind it and a five glacier view that sprawls as wide as you can see. Pictures don’t do it justice and I told myself If the views in person were even half as close to as advertised I’d be pleased..they were that and then some.
My only regret is I couldn’t stay longer but I told Michael I’d be back and am already planning my next trip!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful cabin. Wonderful host. Very helpful and informative 😊
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The view form the rooms is magnificent. Michael is super friendly and makes a great breakfast and will even make reservations for you for activities in town
Awsome experience, highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Michael was a great host. He is very accommodating and makes a great breakfast. Animals are welcome which was one of the reasons I selected this location. I live in Alaska so I appreciated the fact he requires shoes off in the house. On top of all of that the views are amazing.
- Monica (10/5): Best Breakfast in Homer, Alaska! - This was one of our best B&B experience. Mike makes the best breakfast! It was such a memorable experience, and we felt like we were visiting and staying with a family member and not with a stranger. Mike is very easy-going, has tons of stories to tell, and the views from our room (mindfulness room) was spectacular!
If you visit Homer, this is definitely a place to stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - There was nothing we did not love about the Good Karma Inn. The room was clean, very comfortable and beautiful with an awesome view! Michael went above and beyond the expectations of a host. He was so helpful and thoughtful! Good Karma is a great experience!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Mike was great! He was helpful in finding excursions and restaurant choices!
- EliCohen (10/5): - Unique house with amazing view. Big rooms. Special atmosphere.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful view of the Homer Spit, the bay, and the mountains! Great fresh-cooked breakfast, and a comfortable room. The host, Michael, is professional in his service, a wealth of knowledge as a long-term resident of Homer and Alaska, and a gentle soul. In short, a nice place to stay while in the Homer area!
- M&M (10/5): - The Good Karma Inn is a delight with stunning views from all the large well appointed guest rooms, private baths, and a charming host, Michael, with extensive knowledge about the area’s best hiking trails, boat trips and restaurants plus he is more than happy to make any necessary reservations to ensure a perfect visit.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great views! - Unrestricted views of Kachemak Bay from a nice little B & B. We very much enjoyed chatting with the owner. The house is clean as a whistle. It's conveniently located. Nearby you can buy fresh salmon, eat at a great bagel shop, visit local artists and more. Would stay here again.
- jonathon (10/5): Great place to stay - An excellent small hotel to stay at where the owner Michael was readily available for assistance if required. Michael is an excellent source for local information and recommendations for restaurants and other stuff. He even gave us the best route out of town to maximize our sightseeing. Absolutely recommend the Good Karma Inn
- Jian (10/5): Best stay in 9 days AK trip. - Really nice stay, the room is really clean and comfortable, the view is terrific, breakfast is wonderful, besides of all these, Miachel the owner is really helpful, he helped us to book the fishing trip and helped us to find the best seafood restaurant in town and gave us a lot of trip advises, we just left a big inn in Seward very disappointed,Good karma inn was the best one for the our 9 days trip.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Awesome, highly recommended :) - Besides the unfortunate event happened to the host the day we arrived (he was sick and hospitalized) we are thrilled with his place intern of spectacular view, very clean, relaxing and not far way from town and the spit. Micheal is a cool guy and he can provide lot of information for sightseeing.
- Kedar (10/5): Absolutely worth it !!! - Everything worked out as expected. The view from every room is worth a million bucks !!! The property manager is fantastic and very helpful. We would definitely visit and stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful view, comfortable home, wonderful B and B owner, breakfast and conversation great!!
- Frank (10/5): Our Vacation at Good Karma Inn, Homer, AK - Fabulous vacation......We got more than our money's worth from our host, Michael, who is very helpful and informative. He aided in making reservations for fishing trips and restaurants even before we had left to go to Alaska through communication via email. The view from the Inn was spectacular and friends and family who we have shown photos marvel at the beauty of the area. The Inn, which is in a private secluded setting, is minutes away from the Homer Spit where many restaurants and fishing opportunities are located. There are many sculptures and artifacts from native Alaskan artists that decorated the knotty pine living areas and bedrooms. Every evening we had extended interesting conversations with our host Michael who is a Viet Nam War Veteran and well traveled throughout Italy. No laundry services were available on the premises but once again, are just minutes away......
- writer (10/5): Best View and Hospirality in Homer - Michael, the proprietor of the Good Karma Inn in Homer, Alaska treated me like a family member. Perfect place. Bliss.
- Samantha (10/5): First of many trips to Homer - My stay was wonderful! I was only able to stay in Homer one night but it was a full vacation experience. The host asked me about my interests and provided me with maps and brochures on places in town that I would like. I was able to spend all of my time doing things that I was interested in and no time doing the research. The room was spacious and clean. Also coming from the human service field it was very nice to see a place that was designed for people with disabilities in mind. I have already booked to take my grandparents next summer for a few days. :)
- Emmett (10/5): Good Karma Inn - I was a little uncomfortable when I first arrived (looks like a single dwelling house) but by the time I left, I was all smiles. Michael was a wonderful host and the view of Kachemak Bay and the Spit was absolutely outstanding! Be forewarned this is not your typical hotel, this is a single family dwelling that has been converted into a wonderfully comfortable and beautiful single rooms with beautiful artwork, private baths, and spectacular views. I would definitely recommend this fine home to visitors of Homer!
