- Julie (8/5): - The rooms are nice, the beds are comfy. Very spacious with lots of space to put my clothes away. The fan in my bathroom wasn't working and it kept clicking which was distracting when trying to sleep. The phone also wouldn't work

The bed was dirty with hair and other things that I took pictures of I was not compensated for this No refund for bug bites at this hotel I was lied to by a booking agent saying I would be refunded and did not

Though most always clean and comfortable, I hadn't stayed at hotel of this caliber since my days in business administration for an international technology company. Traveling alone was also something I hadn't done in a very long time, having lost my husband this past January. Booking Fairfield through Hotels.com, I was surprised and pleased with the cost initially. I found the property very pleasant, even thinking it was brand new because everything was so nice and well cared for. My room was perfect and even felt almost extravagant for my usual budget. The parking lot safe, staff not only knowledgeable and efficient, but kind and comforting. Overall enjoyed my stay extremely well and could only hope to find similar accommodations in the future.

This property is at a highway intersection with traffic lights where semi tractors continuously use their engine retarder brakes. Too expensive for mediocre service.

The checkin and checkout times were different from the hotels.com app. Not happy at all.

The morning of our visit I received an email saying the payment did not go through and my room was going to be cancelled if I did not call. If I was not looking at my emails my room would have been cancelled. This has never happened before. I called a quickly gave them another number however was very clear that at the end of my stay I would like to pay cash. When we checked in we were setting up for a wedding it was late we were visibly hot and tired and during check in someone was stocking the drinks and such and came over to us with 2 cold bottles of water and said would you like? We of course took it thinking wow this is amazing. At time at the hotel again I said I did not want my card to be charged as I was going to pay cash after they said they required a hold which I completely understand. When we checked out I found out that the processed the card they had to refund it which took longer and then I found out we were charged for the 2 waters!!! We did not ask for the water I mentioned it to the lady and she did not do anything about it. I have stayed at the Marriott’s around the country and I have never had this experience. It left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not stay here again.

But when we returned after 4 PM (standard check-in time), our room still wasn’t ready. Meanwhile, a full tour bus arrived and was checked in immediately. We were asked to wait so the group could be prioritized. Only when we didn’t sit down did they suddenly “find” a room. Disappointing service and poor treatment of individual guests..

- Robin (8/5): - Fairfild rooms are comfortable. I would have given Excellent but it is the little things that bring you down. For example the toilet did not work for first night and I had to fix it. Also, the TV control was weak and it took three remotes to fix the problem and even then it did not work very well. Bathroom towels are getting a bit thin. That said, the staff were great.
