JANET (6/5): - I like that this hotel is pet friendly but I was very disappointed in the TV reception. We kept loosing the signal and couldn't really watch anything.
Gerald (10/5): - A motel conjures up thoughts of a 70's horror flick, in saying that they exterior of the motel seems to be mid upgrade. The check in was fast and efficient, note that we checked in at the hotel across the parking lot possibly due to us fishing late and checking in late. We stayed in room 217 (ground floor) and was extremely surprised by the updated room based on the look of the exterior. Room was spotless, beds were great, stand up shower/bathroom was spotless. I took up 4 parking spots and charged my boat over night with no issues. Will definately come back again.
Amin (2/5): - No reception at all, you had to go yo neighboring hotel for reception.no dining area in the facility, air conditioner was old and didn't cool properly and very noisy. Our room was delux two queen size beds with kitchenette. However there was no regular size fridge, very limited kitchenware, no kitchen knife. No place to dry dishes. No ironing board, no iron or steamer, only 5 hangers for clothes. No water bottle. Overall, terrible. Roon was 149+ fees per night , absolutely didn't worth it.
Ryan (10/5): - It was a great stay and what made it great was the ladies at the front desk very professional and treats everyone with respect I will only be staying here and the lake land inn which is the same hotel in any future stays in cold lake great staff
clarence (6/5): - Not sure why we ended up having to get a second floor kitchenette there seem to be a lot of available ones on the lower floor and the air conditioner was not working in the room and we had a lot of stuff to transfer so we didn’t the first night

Julie (6/5): - I was pleasantly surprised with the conditiom of the room. The website is a bit confusing with photos from both the El Lobo and Lakeland motel being "sister companies". Wasn't sure what type of room I was booking. One thing I would like implemented for safety reasons is this: when your key card doesn't work and it needs to be reprogrammed, plz as for ID. I went once and my husband went once to have this done. Neither time we were asked to confirm our identity, just given new keys.

Free breakfast offered at the neighbouring motel was a really good little buffet with real bacon and eggs as well as other choices. Pet fee is a much appreciated flat fee instead of per dog per night. We were there for 3 nights for the dog show and had 5 dogs with us, so this was a BIG PLUS!

Sparky (4/5): Nicely renovated, bad soundproofing. - I was pleased with the room that appeared to be very recently renovated, they did a very good job. The soundproofing between the units is very poor, when the alarm clock went off in the suite next to mine, it was so loud I thought it was mu alarm clock. The hotel doesn't have many guests, so if you stay here request a room next to empty rooms, or you won't be getting much sleep.

Verified traveler (10/5): Awesome Renovated rooms... In a construction site - It's our second time to stay in El Lobo Motel. Last year was our first when we attended the Cold Lake airshow. We were surprised on how much the hotel rooms have been improved and upgraded! We've seen the difference from last year's room with kitchenette as compared to what it is now. The newly renovated rooms have granite countertops for both kitchen and washroom sink areas, stainless steel overhead microwave with exhaust for the stove, keurig coffeemaker, black fridge placed inside a new set of dresser, flat screen tv, new carpets, new tiles and most of all a very modern shower room. Very impressive indeed! Only setback is the still on going renovation. The entire area, including the parking lot is a construction site. They have materials and a long container van settled in the parking lot. Scaffoldings on the site as well, right outside our room. Dust/debris on the walk or pavement right outside our door. So we were bringing in some of the dirt and white debris whenever we went in and out of our room. Although to be fair, there were some cleaning ladies wiping off the dust on windows in the morning when we went out for breakfast. So that's a good sign that they're trying to keep it clean. But still it's a construction site. But overall, were impressed with how much upgrade the hotel rooms received versus from last year's conditions.
Markelle (10/5): Look no further, this is the one - Absolutely gorgeous. The photos we saw prior simply did not do their facilty justice. The renovations turned their motel into a gorgeous retreat, at exemplary prices! The rooms were utterly spotless, with phenomenal amenities and a spa-like feel. Even with two kid she in tow, the entire experience and layout created such a calm and zen aura. And don't get me started on the breakfast! Such a divine and filling selection, all included! Great service, great atmosphere, great food service. I cannot approve or recommend enough, thank you for the best vacation ever El Lobo!

Karen (6/5): Renovating. Pet-Friendly. - This is an older hotel and is currently undergoing renovations. My room has not been renovated yet. Kitchenette supplies were adequate with a 2 burner cooktop, mini fridge, sink and microwave. Also has a real coffee pot that you can put your own filters in. The fridge has a small freezer compartment but the door was broken and it didn't close properly. The hairdryer did not work. The air conditioner worked but was not great. It was very loud and made a jarring clunking sound whenever it kicked off. It is also located high on the wall which makes less useful for cooling the room. Staff were very pleasant. This is a pet friendly hotel with motel style private entrances on the exterior. There are even dog clean-up bags available at the grassy patch by the neighbouring Lakeland Inn. Good quality hot breakfast off of a menu was included from the neighbouring Lakeland Inn restaurant.
