• John (10/5): Relaxing retreat - We really enjoyed our stay in the peaceful and comfortable Chalet. Be aware that some may find it harder to get into the bed and shower, but no problem for us (in our 60's). Spacious and nicely furnished, this is an excellent value, and has a full kitchen.
• Erik (10/5): Jackpot - To those who stumble upon this place, you won the jackpot. A beautiful and eclectic property nestled in the hills outside Talkeetna. The property is unique in design and decor..... You have to see my photos. The kitchen has a full stove, fridge, and all the kitchenware you could need. Sleeping space for two couples, with a romantic sleeping nook and queen sized fold out couch. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. Trust me, this is an excellent place to stay for a few days.

• John (10/5): Wild gem just above Talkeetna - Out of the Wild is a beautiful property on a quiet hilltop near the end of Comsat road. There are a few outlying guest cabins in addition to a main building. I stayed in the Chalet which was gorgeous are far more than a cabin. High ceiling, full kitchen and very comfortable leather couch with an excellent view north and west. The interior design is unique and very cozy. The queen bed actually fills a nook off the back side of the chalet with a well placed window to get nice air flow through what feels like an alcove or nest. The tiled step in shower is similarly unique and comfortable. The cabin has ample outlets throughout, very convenient parking just beside the chalet on a very quiet street. There is also a very large cleared sitting area for a fire or evening relaxation. Just a very quiet and peaceful setting. The only detraction was the description said there was a "flat screen tv with cable channels". This is incorrect, there is a flat screen tv with a small library of DVDs. The place was too nice to worry about the tv and the off site manager was very agreeable and said the description would be corrected. There is also wifi in the cabin that is serviceable. I would happily stay here again as i access my own remote cabin via the area and the full kitchen, quiet, privacy, and comfort plus location make it a perfect option for the Talkeetna area. Ill just bring my own DVDs next time.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Comfy cabin full of nooks and crannies - What a cute and creative space full of nooks and crannies. It's cozy, but the space is so efficiently designed, it was really comfortable. The setting was spectacular. I really didn't want to leave! Fully-stocked kitchen with mini-fridge was great for meal-prep. It's close to trails (XY Lakes) and just a few miles from the town.

• Cristal (10/5): The Perfect Hideaway - I loved the Chalet. It was a perfect tiny hobbit house that allowed me the reflective solitude I badly needed. The location was beautifully situated in the woods but not so far out that I felt I was in the middle of no where. Wifi was great. The bed was so comfortable and I loved that I could close off the nook with curtains. I look forward to staying here again soon.
