• David (6/5): - This is a funny one - the top floor family room is spacious, comfortable and has a nice view to the beach. It's only a short walk to the beach itself. And the staff in the main hotel are nice. Good value for money. Breakfast is served in the black and white restaurant on the beach and the staff here are not nice. Within 5 minutes I caught the young kids serving on taking the Mickey out of us, the service was rude and the whole atmosphere made us feel uncomfortable. We had one lunch there and all had a bad stomach afterwards. After lunch we were kicked off the sunbeds as they were packing them away for dinner. We were told we visit on a table and chairs, but then immediately hassled to buy more food and drink if we want to sit at the table. After two days we paid to eat breakfast elsewhere because the whole atmosphere was ruining our holiday.

The location off the room was on the third floor (the only room on the top gloor) and between 2 streets. The beach view is party blocked the old guy at the reception was very rude. The mini bus can not drive to the hotel to deliver the luggage

Das Zimmer befand sich direkt an der Lobby, so dass es sehr hellhörig war, als wenn man in der Lobby schläft. Als uns am nächsten Tag kein anderes Zimmer angeboten wurde, wir höchsten 3 Stunden geschlafen haben, haben wir beschlossen aus zu checken. PS.: Das Zimmer hatte keine Fenster

• Shandar (9/5): Great stay. - Great kind people and close by the beach. I expected that the restaurant ( Black&White) was part of the hotel but it wasn’t. They only provide the breakfast which is limited in options. to make use off the sun bed is not possible for free unless you order food with the restaurant.
• Lyazzat (9/5): Понравилось - Расположение супер, вышел и сразу пляж. За отелем есть магазинчики и прачечная, увидели только когда съезжали. За отелем по главной дороге есть неплохие кафешки. Сантехника старенькая, сейфа нет. Завтраки средние ( омлет, тосты, масло, джем, фруктовый салатик и чай или кофе). Сотрудники очень доброжелательные, всегда помогут. Общие впечатления хорошие, ничего плохого сказать не могу.

• HANANE NOUHA KADDACHE (2/5): - Rien Nous avions réservé une chambre triple avec balcon, sauf que la chambre est située au rez-de-chaussée au fond de la réception et ne possède ni balcon ni fenêtre ni aération. Nous avons protester ils nous ont proposé une chambre double à la place avec une fenêtre qui donne sur la toiture nous sommes restés une nuit et le lendemain nous avons fuit carrément la ville d’unawatuna

• Rachel (10/5): Heerlijk! - Het was direct aan t strand met een restaurant ervoor! Wat ook heerlijk was. Personeel was super lief en vriendelijk! Het was niet aan de grote hoofdstraat van unawatuna maar wel aan unawatuna beach. Wij vonden dit ideaal gezien je niet in de mega drukte zit en toch aan veel strand restaurants! Via het strand ben je zo bij de hoofdstraat.
• Raymond (9/5): Nice hotel with a good beach restaurant. - The location pretty much on the beech was great, the standatd breakfast included in the room rate was more than adequate, fruit, eggs, toast & tea/coffee served on the beach. We also had lunch and evening meal on a couple of occasions great. Staff really pleasant Room 12 is not the best, situated on first floor of what is a separate building from the main accommodation, very noisy from early to late as its the same level as the restaurant next door. Couldn't open the curtains as people could look straight in. However we did book very last minute, when all other rooms where fully booked. It was clean and tidy and I didn't hear anybody else mention there room.

• Elena (9/5): - Хороший отель. Дружелюбный персонал, всегда готовый помочь. Отличное местоположение. На 3 этаже с общего балкона вид на море. Хоть и общий балкон, на нем приятно сидеть вечерами. На 2 этаже общая зона отдыха тоже комфортна. Новая хорошая сантехника, горячая вода с хорошим напором. Кровать большая и удобная, белье хоть давно не новое, но чистое. Убираются, меняют полотенца по запросу. Не стесняйтесь просить. Что важно, бесплатная вода по 2 литровых бутылки. На ресепшене выдают пляжные полотенца. Завтрак в соседнем кафе Black and white, вкусные. Кофе хороший Спасибо хозяину и персоналу за комфортный отдых! . С удовольствием вернусь сюда ещё. .Минус- негде сушить вещи. Берите с собой верёвку и прищепки

• Денис (10/5): - Проживание в данном отеле понравилось, хороший, большой номер с видом на океан- всё как и бронировали. Оплатили на месте. Персонал хороший, все просьбы выполняет. Завтраки однообразные, но вкусные, очень хорошие и вежливые официанты. Номер свежий, всё чистое и новое. Не было одеяла, спали только под простынкой, что не очень комфортно и не сразу привыкаешь. Слабый напор воды в душе
• ELDAR (10/5): Хороший, свежий отель вблизи от океана за максимально приемлимые деньги. - Близость до океана, реально пляж начинается через дорожку, свежий отель, еще не ушатали, приветливый и отзывчивый персонал. Также в плюс идет кухня на первом этаже, где можно самому пожарить рыбу, например. Хотя вокруг столько классных ресторанчиков, что только фрукты там резали) Вайн шоп очень близко и до пляжа черепах 10 минут пешком. С другой стороны Уны полчаса топать. Однообразный завтрак, яичница каждый день, вот прям каждый. Отсутствие балконов в номерах.

• Kseniya (10/5): Было очень приятно остановиться в этом отеле. - Отель удобно расположен, свой пляж с лежаками и зонтиками, до него менее 100 метров, выдают пляжные полотенца. Вкусный завтрак, вежливое обслуживание. В номере есть все необходимое, удобная ванная комната, качественная сантехника. Нет такого.

• Prasanna (7/5): Good stay, but beware not on the beach as you might imagine - It is a small property - either relatively new or renovated. The beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were clean, water pressure was good. The pictures put up are misleading. I think they put up photos from their neighboring property too, I am not sure. I was under the impression that it is right on the beach. But it is not. It is in a narrow lane behind it. Accessing nearby restaurants requires significant walking or motorized transport. The staff is easy to talk to and helpful but there was no housekeeping during our two days. Everything - replacement towels, water etc - had to be requested at front desk.

Muy bien de precio Ese día justo que estuvimos se fue l luz todo el día. Y no había opciones para poder ir a comer ni nada por la falta de electricidad. Aunque es algo que se solucionó en unas horas.

• Souvou (10/5): "Clean, Cozy, and Right on the Beach" - I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is perfect – right in front of the sea, with stunning views and easy access to the beach. The room was very clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated. The staff were incredibly polite, friendly, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Overall, a peaceful and relaxing experience. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back again!

• SURESH (9/5): - Friendly Staff. Breakfast was complimentary and served in the restaurant attached. Typical English breakfast with Omelet and Toast. Omelet was too good we ordered one more round which was chargeable. A more clearer view from the room would have been better. However they do have sea view rooms probably reserved for families. Overall good value for money.

Best on this beach for the money. - it's close to the beach.Decent size rooms...sea views from the communal balcony....efficient air conditioning, modern bathroom with plenty of hot water. The wi fi worked well. Beds were comfortable. Nice linen and pillows. The hotel is attached to a very good restaurant which provides a simple but adequate breakfast from smiling staff. There are comfortable sun beds available on the beach and tables also on the beach for sunset drinks and dinner. And amazing food. Tuk Tuks always available for sightseeing.Great value for money. Liked everything but just a warning that the sea in close proximity can be very rough during the off season. Not great for swimming.

• Sattar (10/5): Surf Una family room - Fantastic location right on the beach. The hotel has its own restaurant and is in a good location for walking around the little cute roads of the town. We had the family room on the top floor which is a bit of a climb, but the staff helped to take our bags up. I would have liked a Sri Lankan breakfast option. The English breakfast was fine though

• Rafael (9/5): Perfect location, can’t beat the price. - These are economy accommodations , but they are clean and comfy - can’t ask for more at this price. The rooms are across a small alley from the restaurant, which is right on the beach. Perfect location, and you can use the restaurant’s beach chairs free pf charge. Staff were extremely nice and accommodating. Door’s lock was flimsy but we had a safe in the room.
• Elizabeth (10/5): Great safe comfy place right on the beach! - Amazing location right off the beach-- you just walk through the restaurant to get there. It's set off the main roads and is quiet at night and in the morning. Huge room with a balcony and a fridge and kettle, terrace with an eating area and a balcony as well. AC is great plus a fan. The people are very kind and the breakfast and the people at the restaurant are also amazing. Thank you all very much! Nothing at all everything was great. I do wish there was a little broom so I could sweep out sand, but I have kids so that might not be important to everyone.

• Ramona (8/5): Great location - The room was spacious, the location was close to the beach ,bars , restaurants The breakfast was basic ,same thing every day ,but was ok The only thing that I didn't like was the noise in the room from a water pump ,like every couple of minutes or so. We even changed the room for a top floor room but we can still hear the noise ,was really loud at night .

They are extremely friendly and try to do everything possible to make the stay great. They take great care of the environment and take pride in their job. I can't praise them enough and we are very sad to leave after 6 days here. And intend to return one day. Nothing not to like....it's been perfect.
• A (6/5): so close to "everything", no ocean view from the room (but corridor), not always warm water - Perfect location, few steps and you're in the main beach (full of restaurants and travel&sport agencies). This location let you stay outside after dark (6:00 pm) - it's not very quiet place in the evening but you can feel safe due to lights and people around. Whatever kind of Unawatuna attractions you can imagine (beach, water sports, restaurants/bars, travel agencies, beauty salons, shopping, laundry - all of them you'll find there (very close)). In the same street (2 min. walk) you can find small clothes store next to Dilsha Beuty Salon. You can buy wide selection of local clothes/bags. But if you wish to have something else (more suitable for you) there is a tailor who will do what you need. Both the store/tailor and the beauty salon are managed by professional, amazing and happy Sri Lankan ladies - always smiling, with "no problem" attitude, making your stay in Sri Lanka much more joyful. Even if you're far from main street (so you can't hear street noise) you're pretty close to bus stops (short walk) - try it and without doubt you'll become a Sri Lankan bus lover ;) Beautiful place, view and staff in the next door restaurant where you'll have breakfasts. "Ocean view" means the view from the hall outside of your room. Your room has a window to a corridor where other people walk to their rooms. Also cleaning staff makes some noise in the morning (literaly by your door and window) No warm water and no transparency (no info that it's not a temporary multifunction but a standard). English - only some people from staff can speak English so if you have any question/trouble it's not obvious you can find a support. Cleaning service is not granted. No one tells you that cleaning can be done only if you leave your key at the reception so better figure it out the first and not the last day ;) Another trick is that cleaning is possible every other day (not every day). Support before arrival - hotel offered a taxi form the airport. When I asked about buses the advice was "to get all the information at Airport" :/ Breakfast - if you're no carbs lover (fruits, toasts, juice) you can have just 2 eggs (or pay extra for more food). Although the place, view and the staff in the resturant were amazing :)

• Daniel (8/5): Very good - Great location, good value. Decent sized room. Excellent sized bathroom! The only issue we had was that the room we had booked wasn't available when we checked in. We had booked the family suite but got a standard twin. Wasn't an issue though as the room was fine.

• Prabhashwari (9/5): This is our second time staying at Surf Una. We booked a double room but we got the family room whixh had the most beaut - View, beach front, Huge rooms,cleanliness and friendly staff Nothing
• Winkle (5/5): Apart from when we were in the room it was a nice spot on a nice beach. We made the most of our sta. - The location was ok.The restaurant was pretty good as was the breakfast. The staff were very nice and friendly. The room was very poor.There was no window so no fresh air.It was damp and the A/C was dripping water constantly when turned on.The room was over priced in my opinion.
