Guest Reviews
- Dhabes (6/5): - Hmmm the place is far but you can use the bus to travel around Hong Kong. Breakfast is very meh. Room is good tho for its price.
- Robyn (10/5): - All around a great stay!
- Chun Wai (10/5): - 寧靜舒適,早餐好食
- Verified traveler (6/5): Fair - not recommend
- Alpha (6/5): -
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Room with bad smell and very wet
- Vin (4/5): - Language Communication issue
No fridge or study desk
Terrible breakfast,
- Gazar (6/5): - With room to be improved for customer satisfaction
- Verified traveler (6/5): So-so. - The hygienic condition is not so good. Many mainlanders. Only two mini buses can get to there apart from taxi. The breakfast is poor. But the price is okay if one doesn’t get to there by taxi.
- Kassandra (4/5): Unpleasant stay - Place was unclean - floor, toilet, beddings. And overall just very poorly maintained. Do not recommend it even if its very cheap.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It is ridiculous n crazy which request client explain why they have to stay in hotel when check in! The front desk man is very rude to keep
Pushing answer! Seems like criminal been asking question! If any questionnaire must answer to get approval check in by the hotel! It must be voice out during booking!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good value for money - It’s ok at this price
- Kam Han (6/5): - Felt the room is not clean, towels are old with stain.
Price is cheap, you do not have expect too much
- Verified traveler (4/5): - No power point in the room, it was odd. I will not recommend to my friends.
- Kwan Ho (2/5): - The room is so dirty
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Door lock was having problem when I check in, switch to another room but still out of order, finally door was open by the assistant manager
- KEMOY (2/5): NIGHTMARE RUN !!!! - This hotel is absolutely horrible I would actually like a refund on this stay as the pictures are fake the description is inaccurate and it’s an overall slum. It was so bad that we left after the first night as the hotel was so disgusting. You have to pay for the pool usage. The breakfast consisted of two dishes even though the menu has 8 plus items. The service was horrible, I spoke to the manager she blew me off and acted as if this was just normal everyday routine in this “hotel”. I will never recommend this place to my worst enemy. Hotels.com needs to remove this hotel as one of their options in Hong Kong.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice place to stay for few hours. - My plan arrived at 02:30am in the morning, so I need a place to stay for several hours. This hotel is good for me.
- Fara (2/5): Catastrophic - Terrible terrible terrible with rude staff and inconvenient rooms poor lighting and terrible terrible dirty
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I think they should clean AC and comforter each guest use. Or re place new one .
- Verified traveler (8/5): Weekend in Disney - Hotel is ok. Had its heydays. Wifi in room and lobby was great. Wifi in restaurant did not work. Free breakfast (noodle, rice porridge, and rice buns) was mediocre. Saw the egg sandwich-might have been better.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Reasonable for what you pay
It was convenient and building beside the hotel had fast food restaurant options for mid afternoon when the hotel restaurant is not open yet also a seven eleven store and a bank
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The view from my 28th floor room with floor to ceiling window was one of the few redeeming qualities, along with the easy access to transportation, shopping, and dining options. The hotel is not very well-kept up, and they don't even provide bottled water in the guest rooms. The coffee cups were dirty, and they were not cleaned or replaced at all during our four-night stay. The outdoor pool is "seasonal" and not in working condition during the Chinese New Year holiday. The free breakfast is limited to two options: breakfast sandwich or Chinese breakfast with noodles, porridge, and manto. When I tried to order a hot chocolate for my daughter I was charged HKD27, and when it still hadn't arrived by the time we'd finished eating and I went to ask for a refund, the hostess yelled at me! Next time we visit I will definitely plan ahead and look for better accommodations.
- Jasmine (4/5): - The view from our 28th floor floor-to-ceiling windows was one of the few redeeming qualities, along with easy access to transportation, shopping, and dining. The hotel is not well kept up, and the outdoor pool is out of service during the Chinese New Year holiday. Our room was tiny, with just enough room to walk around the two twin beds.
The room wasn't very clean, and they don't provide bottled water. The coffee cups in my room were dirty when we arrived, and they were neither cleaned nor changed during our four-night stay. The free breakfast is limited to two options: breakfast sandwich, or a Chinese breakfast with noodles, porridge, and mantou. When I ordered hot chocolate for my daughter instead of the coffee or tea options included, I was charged HKD27, and when it still had not come when we finished eating, and I went to ask for a refund, the hostess yelled at me. Next time we will definitely plan ahead and make reservations far enough in advance to get a good price at a better hotel.
- CHEW (4/5): - rooms not clean, NO house keeping, towels seems to be USED !
facing noisy container port operating on 24/7, requested wake up call 05:30, receptionist just take note down on book but nothing happen ! No writing desk/chair/wardrobe, room looks like a dormitory ! kettle was rusty also plastic cups are stained !
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The worst hotel that I ever stay!
They don't clean and change the bed sheet.
It's terrible! I need to close my eye go to restroom! It's freaking dirty!
Terrible ! Terrible ! My vacation became terrible! So sad to chose this hotel!
- CHEW (4/5): not recommended to stay even for one night ! - stayed 3 nights, but the third night, there was NO housekeeping, towels were dirty, seems like USED ! requested for wakeup call at 05:30, receptionist simply written on book but NO calls at all !
very noisy, even middle of the night because of container port operation,
- josue ii (6/5): not so so. - we arrived early fir check in ang was given a room ryt away.. due to bad reviews i did not expect much. the room is okay. butbthe toilet sink is dirty. i saw some fibers on the linens which gives me the impression that they were not changed.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Booked for 3 adults
Rooms only have 2 single beds and barely room for stretcher bed
Were charged $47AUD extra for stretcher bed
No hot water
No bottle water in fridge or to purchase
- Verified traveler (8/5): hidden - A bit hard to find if first time in the area
- Pauline (4/5): - I booked and paid for a room for 3 adults but was given only 2 single beds, 2 towels, 2 pillows and 2 bed sheets. The bath towels were only fit for children size. The room was pretty jammed too. Very disappointing ..... I won’t recommend it to anyone.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Lift too slow and cannot cope with volume.
Front desk cannot cope with lack of staff and do not pick up phone. Even if pick up they do not forward calls. Many complaints from friends and family.
- Jimmy (4/5): - the hotel is not managed well, room and bath are not clean,
AC was not running well, overall is two stars
- menachem (8/5): View of Hong Kong for a different angele - Was good but too expensive for what you get.
- Jon (4/5): - OK unless you are into the inner working of the Port of Hong Kong this may not be the best place for you. The pool in the picture is NOT part of the hotel and the view is of the port and million shipping containers. The port runs 24/7 can be a little loud.
This place looks like it was once a large (maybe nice) resort but has been separated into multiple owners. It seems like now mostly residential with like 2-3 Hotels that are all sectioned off from each other making it difficult to get where you want to go without excessive walking. Apparently none of the owners wanted to maintain the pool so it is mostly empty and inaccessible. You have to walk all the way around the back to get to the entrance which ends up being kind of a pain and gets old fast. There is bus service that will bring you to the MTR but again you have to walk like 5 minutes around the entire "resort" to get to the stop. The restaurant in the hotel should be avoided as the food is truly awful. There are a couple other dining options, a café corral that was well priced and ok quality, one other Chinese food type place in the basement. There are a few other stores and a 7-11 that are pretty convenient as there are not too many other options in the area. No room service available and often had to call for the sheets to be turned down. All and all not too impressed but I guess could have been worse..
- Rolliet (4/5): - Not amazing
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No charging outlet. Two single bed but we booked for 3 adults.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Ok for an overnight transit, budget. Room condition not great, no electrical outlets for guests to use.
- Jorge (4/5): - I understand room being small and needing some paint job. But not being clean is NOT ok
- Orlando (4/5): - The pictures posted served as their adz are not true to what they have in the property.
- Leo (2/5): - They locked me out of my room 2 x there was someone eles in the room when i got there
- Li Chin (4/5): - More a factory room than a hotel room.
Will not stayed there again.
- AB (2/5): - Very rude staffs. Internet is o working same breakfast for four days housekeeping personnel are not English speaking nor can understand English flyers are not in Wnglish as well adaptors are for sale no English channels only 5 local channels
- melissa (6/5): Lousy breakfast and charge for pool access. - The bathroom was very out dated. Floor had trash on it. Toilet wouldn’t flush half the time. Room smelled like cigarettes. They charge $100 hkd for the pool. Not even allowed to look out there without paying. Very limited hours too. Breakfast buffet was horrible. Who puts corn, cabbage, and kindney beans out for breakfast?
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nice view. Better if the water heater be left outside the toliet. Wifi is unstable. No available drinking water anywhere the hotel. You must go to another hotels basement/ground floor to find a 7-11 store.
- Verified traveler (4/5): cheap and not so good hotel - No WiFi in the room. You need to go down to the lobby to use Wi-Fi. Room is quite small.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - overall ok for as a budget hotel for an overnight stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Cant be worse! - Very dirty, worse than most hotels in mainland, poor isnt it?
- Ming Kei roger (4/5): - They didn't even throw away litters from previous guests in the bathroom... it really makes me wonder whether they have change the cups, etc..
- Jay (8/5): Nice Stay in Budget !! - Staff was co-operative & generous
- yuet (8/5): - Out of the three hotels here , this one is better .
- Wee (2/5): Worst Hotel On Earth - We left the hotel within 30 seconds after check-in. No wifi, staffs were useless, room was dirty. The whole hotel is dirty.
- Camilo (6/5): - Nice location the only thing I’m not happy is the washroom stinks. Need sanitation room is good
- Anna (8/5): Convenient transportaion - The fact that the mini bus station is just around the corner is a big factor why I was surprised and it's a big YES for me. Going to Wai Fong Station is just a breeze.
- Krys (2/5): Nightmare hotel, absolutely filthy. - I booked this hotel for me and my family during a 3 night, 4 day visit of Hong Kong. Even after seeing the countless negative reviews as it was the closest hotel to Disneyland within our budget.
The whole hotel and experience was atrocious. I highly recommend potential bookers of staying away from this one and booking elsewhere, even if it may be slightly more expensive. The reviews, including this one, speak for themselves. Where do I start?
Upon stepping inside the glass doors into the main reception, you will see a very derelict and worn looking restaurant area to the far left and the reception desk in front of you with the elevators to the rooms to the right.
I had booked 2 twin rooms with the request of a roll-away bed in one of the rooms for my 9-year-old nephew as there were 5 of us total. Upon checking in, we were told that this extra bed was unavailable and that there was nothing they could do and they would have to sleep together in a small double bed, crammed like sardines for the 3 nights. Not at all comfortable.
After entering our rooms on the 30th floor. We found stains and hairs all over the bed sheets and pillow cases as well as mold and brown stains all over the bathroom and toilet. The window blinds were ripped and practically useless. The TV placement was literally half way up to the ceiling. The walls were cracked and stained.
- Vinz (6/5): Too close for comfort. - The room is way too small for three people for the price we paid. The restaurant staff didnt want to toast our bread at breakfast and on our last day. The breakfast buffet was closed and only had two options for breakfast that was worth 35HK$, but the buffet coupon is worth 78HK$. That was what I was paying every morning for my son. There was breakfast in the menu that cost 70HK$, but was told we couldn't order that with our coupon. But The people of Tsing Yi were very friendly and helpful. I would go back, but maybe different hotel.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Convenience hotel near airport - If you want to find a lower price hotel near airport, this is good.
If you want to find a good conditioned hotel, this is not good.
The floor is not clean enough, the amenities are under rate, the size of room & beds are very small.
No wifi inside the room is not very inconvenient.
- Mohit (2/5): Totally bad experience. - Totally bad experience.
Not recommended for anyone.
Bad service and staffs.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Location-far from everything
Staff-not accommodating
Room-messy with soiled bedsheets
Food-unappetizing menus didnt change day by day
Wifi only at lobby so the guest were crowded there
I will not recommend this hotel
- Verified traveler (6/5): This is a hostel rather than a hotel. - Guestroom is not comfortable.
- Katrina (8/5): Nice but too far. - We had a good stay in the hotel but a limited transpo going to the hotel. From Tsing Yi, Exit A then go down the staircase. Look for bus 88F. Alight at Rambler hotel then you have to walk for like 2-3mins to reach the hotel.
- B&J (8/5): Good value if rate is under $120 USD /night. - Very quiet and safe as the complex has security staff and away from the crowd.Residential high rises with 3 hotels.Hotels mainly cater for groups travellers from mainland China and surrounding countries like Phillipines.
We got a cheap rate with breakfast. A very big and quiet room in HK standard.
Mini green&yellow bus(88G)3 minutes walk away that takes you to the MTR(underground system that allows you to travel everywhere in HK)Same for return trip. They allow small carry on luggage. The MTR,great system, very easy, efficient and fast once you understand the system.Octopus card that you load amount at stations or 7-11.You can also pay wth Octopus card in most bigger shops and restaurants. The best system of transport in the world as it allows you to buy things too.
We were lucky to get a room on the garden side, over 300'.Furnitures in lobby are old and scratched but room is fine if you can overlook the cosmetic side.A very big bathroom with a tub!Not a standard in HK.
A real good deal if you get a good rate and like to stay away from traffic, yet very close to transport once you understand the system.
The hotel staff are friendly as we encountered, especially Ivan on the front desk.We came by noon and he found us a room in minutes.
As the hotel caters for groups, elevator busy when groups leave.
Sorry for the bad reviews I have read.I was skeptical but relieved when we went to this hotel. Will stay in future for the rate and convenience.
Great deal if the price is low!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - the hotel was old and the room seemed so old and unclean. The staff was nice but the environment was not as expected and honestly, a bit disappointed about the stay.
- Pavel (6/5): Cheap hotel but inconvenient location - The hotel is located pretty far from the MTR (fortunately, there are minibuses connecting to nearby MTR stations).
The rooms are OK in size, the shower is separated from the toilet by a curtain so there's no nasty water spill in the toilet.
There are few issues:
1. Wi-Fi is only available in the hotel lobby even though the ads indicated it would be in the rooms.
2. Washing facility only exists in the nearby hotel and has weird open hours so I never had a chance to use it during my week of stay in the hotel.
3. No complimentary drinking water is provided in the room and the restaurant in the lobby charged a ridiculous price of HK$10 for 500 ml. Hibt: go to Park'n'shop under Rambler hotel to buy the water for a fraction of that price.
4. There is no hotel taxi service although the taxis go by pretty regularly. To avoid long waiting, it is better to go to a taxi stop next to Rambler hotel.
- Germaine (2/5): Totally Outrageous Services - It was so bad that the room was so dusty! I have to requested for extra towels to clean it myself, the housekeeping aunty told me to get it myself. So i got more towels myself from her trolley. After the cleaning, the extra beds were here. She told us there is no extra pillows and comforter! She used a blanket and covered it with a pillow cover. The extra bed she covered it with very thin sheets. The room was so small that the TV was installed on the wall over our heads! On the last day of stay, my next room mates knocked our door to inform that the concierge staff told them ard 11am that we have to leave by 12pm due to hotel fully booked. We have asked for late check out at 1pm and the concierge staff wrote 1pm check out for us. Their staff management was sooo bad that, the housekeeping aunty just came into our room with her card without knocking or our permission. The do not disturb card was hanged outside! Luckily we were dressed! We cant imagine if it was a guy who opens our door! There was no privacy at all and we felt threatened! This is the first and last time we gona stay here! Ridiculous!
- wendy (4/5): Good location ,close to Disneyland - When you booked the hotel it show the picture of the pool but it should tell you that if you wanna use the pool the hotel will charged you extra cost, misleading on my booking I booked a two twin bed but I got a two single bed instead confusing of beds sizes???? And room is very small
- HAE JUNG (4/5): not recommended - There were 100% Chinese guests and stay lobby to use WiFi that makes noise and crowded.
- duncan (8/5): - A bit old
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad experience - There is no saying that the gym facility will be charged additionally,
The room picture shown is totally siffeeent from the actual place,
It is dirty and very dark
- Steve (6/5): Short stay close to the HK airport - The room is clean and good price.
However, it was slightly disappointed compared to last visit. We are allocated room at the top floor with 2 single beds. The room is smaller than the one I had with double bed at the lowest floor, no table.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Lower your expectations - There's no street shopping. Have to walk up a slope to get to bus stations. Facing the container port which works 24 hours so it could be noisy depending on time. No dark drapes so the room is too bright to sleep a little late in the morning. Groups of tourists fighting for lift access as there is no queue.
- Jimmy (6/5): The location is close to the subway and airport - The room is too small and too noisy both in day and night time. The elevator is always crowded with people. The WIFI is not working in the hotel room and the connection speed in the hotel lobby is terrible.
- Natalie (4/5): Facilities fine, very noisy - It was very loud all night and cold in the room so didn't they a happy a great nights sleep. Facilities were fine for the money but ask for a room not facing the docks!
- jose (2/5): not good - not comfortable
- Undraa (6/5): - It was best deal to stay in hong kong with transfering flights. Transportation to hotel is easy and even taking taxi is affordable from/to airport. There's a shuttle bus to mtr station.
- ho wing hob (6/5): Reasonable - Just normal service with reasonable price
- Jose (2/5): waste of money.. - Very ran down property nothing worked in the room..light fixtures were not working in the bathroom at all..mold everywere in bathroom. Shower did not work right..windows were so dirty on the outside they have never been cleaned..seems it as public housing befor they turned it in to hotel and they never finished with the repairs..also no wall charge for american phones or usb drive charge anywere in hotel i went to lobby and ask guy how i can charge my phone and he said the entire building does not have that..also no internet..
- Verified traveler (6/5): - hotel fitting rundown
- Verified traveler (6/5): Budget stay. - Need to take mini bus to connect to MTR or airport train station.
- Verified traveler (6/5): When i check in the room is not clean. - Cannot book taxi. Wifi weak. Room not clean. Others is good. These few things have to improve. Thank you.
- David (8/5): Needed taxi to airport.. Had to get it myself. - Hotel restaurant pricing high for products. 25 HKD for each coffee. Come on, Pay for one and bring out a pot for the table for same price. Breakfast cost for better selection, staff would not allow included accommodation price as partial payment.
Airport Breakfasts were about half this hotel rate for top breakfast dish.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Quick checkin. reasonable price.
Very close to Hong Kong airport via Airport express and Green Van 88F.
Alternative option for quick stay in HK.
- Ji (2/5): Expedia messed up my reservation - When I booked the reservation, I made it VERY VERY clear to the Expedia agent, by phone, that my arrival time is on the early morning of Sept 20, expected arrival time to the hotel was at about 1am-2am, and I wanted to make sure that the check-in time is okay with the hotel. The agent made the reservation for Sept 20 check-in Sept 21 check-out and told me that the arrival time should work.
When I got to the hotel, after an 18 hour flight from USA, the hotel staff told me that my reservation was for the next day and didn't have a room for me. Long story short, I ended up dragging my luggage in heavy rain to neighboring hotels, none had room for me, and ended up bumming in the hotel lobby for the night. To add insult to the whole thing, the hotel staff told me that I won't get a refund for the night of Sept 20/21 which I would not be able to stay anyway (I was in transit from Hongkong to Shenzhen that day).
This has been the absolutely worst experience I have ever had with Expedia.
- Zamerican (4/5): Good view, no WiFi in the room. - Room is small. No coffee or tea bag, no complimentary water etc. To swim HK$100.00. Amazing. If no discount, price is too high.
- sam (8/5): It is ok, clean enough, quiet, the price very reas - Easy acces from airport, ride A31, get off on 6th stop, walk a few steps, right there, nothing around, except one 7 eleven,
- Verified traveler (4/5): Closer by Disney, thats all. - Other than closerby to Disney, dont book this hotel. Crowded with too many Mainland Chinese staying here, noisy. But hotel is OK. Staff is good. Fortunately, the nearby shopping mall is available.
- CK (4/5): Simply just for sleep, don't expect too much! - Hotel itself is a big apartment, small room, no bottled water. Lifts always full of people, needs to queue up for sometime to get in. The picture shown with swimming pool is only a view, not hotel facility. The staff in front desk is helpful.
- Lester (8/5): Nice Hotel - Pleasant. Easy to find. Bus services very convenient. Stores and restaurant nearby
- Verified traveler (6/5): Staff could use more training on professionalism - Hotel rate was affordable. Hotel location was a resonable distance from the airport.
- Sharon (2/5): - Dirty, smelly and very cramped.
- Catherine (2/5): - The hotel is full of loud and inconsiderable tourists.
Standards are very low.
- Chui Fan (4/5): - Too noisy.
Below average.
- sunny (4/5): Good price - Cold in the winter time when temperature dropped below 15•C due to no heater in the hotel room. No wifi inside hotel room except pay more to upgrade, however, wifi at the lobby. Cleanliness is fair. Noise at sleeping time because I stay at the room facing to the container pier, they were functioning overnight. Facing to the residence buildings should be no problem. This hotel is mainly for tourist from mainland China and they are so rude and noisy. Pillow was flat and they only provided one,you could not get another one. No cabinet in the room, all personal clothes stayed in the baggage. The only good thing was good price and the room size was good compared to the same priced hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff was very helpful.
- Woon Cheong (6/5): - The room is bright with harbour view and the ceiling is high.
Unfortunately the room was smelly.
- Soe (2/5): Cheap hotel but that's the only thing - staff are not welcoming to say the least. I came through the door with two luggage but there was not even a single staff who greeted at the door let alone helped me with my struggle coming through glass doors. They made me wait for 7 hours for check-in saying rooms are not ready. After 7hr wait, I found the dirty room with rubbish on the floor, dirty linens, dusty everywhere. Room has terrible smell. There is no wi-fi service available in your room. No breakfast! Hotel staff were unwelcoming, some even rude. Nobody was helpful yet again with my departure. Even request for Taxi service was not looked after. In a place like Hong Kong, I never expected I would find a hotel of this poor service and low standard. Nuff' said!
